Philadelphia, PA, RSA (RSBC)-
Today, President Featherston has announced that due to the failure of Papua New Guinea to repay its debts and due to the ongoing instability in the area, the Reunited States Military will intervene to ensure domestic stability.
"Papua New Guinea is currently suffering.....its leaders have mismanaged he economy, the country is poor.......they owe us money. Since the leaders cannot keep the country stable, we're going in to help them out with their debts and internal economy, even if it requires the RS Marines to do it."
As he spoke, a force of 50,000 Shin-Nihon National Guardsmen, 60,000 PA National Guardsmen, and 50,000 regular Army Airborne and 15,000 Marines joined with the Shin-Nihon Naval Fleet to launch "Operation Mayflower," the "debt reconstruction/internal stabilization effort." Protestors lined up to complain in Philadelphia, but were dispersed using live ammo and limited casualties.
As of 8:00PM EDT, it was reported that Tomahawk and Paratrooper assaults commenced on Port Moresby, and landings occured on other places on the southern coast of Papua New Guinea. The local forces, though not caught by surprise, are expected to be driven out of Port Moresby in several days.
