Abandoned Jedi Temple
Yavin IV

The old meditation room showed signs that a war had been fought inside of it. The thick and strong marble walls were scorched with carbon discharges, struck by errant lightning blasts, and even knocked down in some areas by force blasts. His student had fought a great duel, and in the end it was he who had won, even though the price was high. Caller’s warning had set into action a series of events in Hawkins mind, with his new found physic powers he was able to break down the walls that the Sith Lord erected in his memory, it was not until his duel with Sirus however that all the pieces began to fit. Caller’s warning:

“Vedil…He is back”

Sirus’ last words:

“Yo…… YOU….. think you have won….. HAHAHA” Sirus coughed again sending blood over Hawkis. “Nooo… you have not won… J….ehdi… It has just begun….. My robes are fitting do you not thin….. aft…er all…. I must guard the empe……ror… Yes Hawkins…. He lives.”

And finally the image that haunted his nightmares of late. The Face-less Sith Lord who he was about to engage in battle, who had blinded Hawkins to his own memory, then he remembered the catalyst. It was the Sith’s laughter, only a few who ever heard it lived to be haunted by it this was Hawkins second time hearing it, the first had been on the Death Star when he rescued Daniel from his death. Luke Skywalker also here the same sadistic laugh in a similar situation only three generation previous.

It was the laugh of a possessed man who would rule the galaxy at any cost,

It was the laugh of the greatest Sith of them all, It was the Laugh of Emperor Palpatine. He wanted the galaxy again, he wanted history to repeat itself. Even in death he wanted more power and would sacrifice everything and kill or corrupt any whom opposed him. Jennifer Masaki was his first victim in this new war, her daughter his second, Even Hawkins fell victim to his allure. His student, his son, Caller was murdered by Palpatine through his shadow guard Fiona Masaki. This whole war was an excuse for him to cement his power just like he did in times past, he would rape this Republic as he did the old.

Not this time, Hawkins swore to that vow, the blood of to many patriots had been shed already to sate the thirst of a tyrant, no this time it would end forever.

Now though it was time to give his friend his last rights, he gingerly scooped up his broken body and walked with it outside.

He placed it on top of a Pyre he had prepared, the sun was setting brillently over the horizon casting the valley in its blood red hue. Hawkins pulled out a knife and ran it deeply across his calloused palm, he let the blood run smearing it in the shape of a cross over Caller’s face,

“You died the death of a Warrior in honorable battle, by my life’s blood I swear that I shall avenge your death by the blood of those who took it from you, Rest in peace my friend.” Hawkins chanted the ancient warriors vow to the dead, his voice husky with sorrow, a tear even fell from his eyes. He lit the pyre the flames engulfing his friends body, the heat from the pyre warm his flesh, soon Caller would be one with the force.

Hawkins was not alone in this final tribute to his friend, there stood behind Hawkins the comrades both he and Caller fought along side with and supported for many years. It was the Alliance that swore to protect the virtues of a republican government, that would not let evil triumph that sacrificed all to fight the darkness. They were a family forged in the dark times of trial that came after the Cordian surrender, they were Hawkins army, and would follow him into hell, and as Hawkins reminded himself they soon would.

Directly being Hawkins stood the old an weathered Admiral Kofri, a Corellian commander of the fleet, then was his second Vice Admiral Bentii. To their left stood Biggs Antilles and his pilots all stood at attention at present arms giving a final salute to the brave Jedi. Behind the officers stood Hawkins newest comrades his own personal army, his Knight Companions he called them. They stood and held their light sabers high is a silent salute to the fallen.

Hawkins watched the burning flames, and the passing of his friend, alone tears now flowed from him as he wept. May the Tester have mercy on Palpatine for Hawkins would show him none when he would come for him.

Coruscant System
Capital of the Republic

Without the slightest warning there was a massive translation of a fleet of ships from Hyperspace, it was not translation aimed at a stealthy entrance to a system, no it was quite the opposite the ships exited Hyper at a dangerously fast acceleration that would have announced their presence in the system to all.

It would have been considered a motley collection of vessels when compared to the regiment ranks and uniform vessel of an Imperial Fleet, but this fleet was just as dangerous as such a creation. It was the Alliance fleet, the true protectors of the Republic, they defended it not because they wanted to assume power as the next emperor or out of any such selfish need but rather because it was the right thing to do.

Over five hundred vessels entered the System, 150 of these were large capital class vessels, at its core were the Super-Dreadnaughts and the Battleships of the Farstars cluster’s Confederate Navy. Then intermixed with them were the capital ships of the Alliance, Mon Cal cruisers a mixture of MC80a and even a Squadron of the powerful MC-90’s and Rebel Assault Frigates. This heavy phalanx was screened by the remaining 350 ships, which were much smaller ranging from converted freighters to small and power Dreadnaughts, Carrack cruisers, Corellian Corvettes and gun ships, bulk cruisers, Nebulon escort frigates, and the cruisers and destroyers of the Confederate Navy. It may have been a motley collection of ships but it was powerful nonetheless.

And it was unified in one goal, determined to attain it at any cost, such resolution and constitution often made even the weakest fleet seem invincible. For this fleet it was the preservation of the Republic they tried so hard to establish, and that meant the arrest of Chancellor Vedil…and no one would stand in their way…

Senate Hall

An Emergency session of the senate was called by the Farstars senator, the senators would have gather into the hall at this early hour of the morning wonder what could possess anyone to call such a meeting at such a time.

The Farstars senatorial pod singled for quiet as their senator Valerie Ross stood to speak, her soprano voice rang out, it would seem to take a position opposite of the one she assumed the other day.

“Ladies and Gentle beings, Only a few hours ago I was made aware of some startling information, We have all been played for fools! No not by the Separatists, they are a threat but we have a much more deadly and dangerous threat that for a year we have held close to our bosom. We believed in empty lies putting our faith into nothingness and almost fell into a trap that should have been self evident, if we only learned from the past.” She then paused and drew upon her inner strength to say these next few words and they came out hard.

“I move for a vote of no confidence in Chancellor Vedil on the grounds of treason against the Republic, he has no intention of giving up the emergency powers we have given him, he would secure power in this republic for himself, he would make himself emperor upon the conclusion of this conflict! We have been so concerned with the enemy threatening our frontier that we failed to notice a Sith Lord in our very midst!” She timed her announcement so that upon its conclusion the Alliance fleet would enter the systems,

“We will not be subjugated by the Sith again, their tyranny will not be tolerated again!”

So, it begins... Senator Kieran thought, knowing he'd probably die for this. Young Masaki, I hope you succeed. "I second the motion! In the name of the Republic, I call for the Jedi Order to arrest the Chancellor, no, Mr. Vedil, for these henious charges!"

Vedil stood in the senate podium, looking out at his accusers, Sirus had done well, now the Predictable Farstars and Jedi would bring themselves to death and destruction, now the Republic was his. Looking down Vedil spied a small control panel, an edict older than most beings in the Galaxy, it lay there blinking, waiting for a confirmation thumb print.

“Directive 66”

Leaving the pad alone Vedil looked up in anger. “Mindless allegations, without a hint of proof or justice meriting them, you say I am a Sith lord, I say you are attempting to overthrow the Republic!”

The Chancellors eyes glared, in the Jedi’s direction. “How opportunistic of you Jedi, to corrupt our senator Valerie Ross, who just the other day sided with the Republic, she declared her will to die for the Republic, no I say you lie, I say have bewitched her mind with foul tricks and evil magic, unavailable to those within the Senate. Whaaa……”

Vedil turned to an aide behind him, who interrupted the chancellor without thought. Quickly turning back, Vedils face was twisted with anger and hate. “I PUT IT TO THE REPUBLIC, THAT IT IS THE JEDI WHO BETRAY US! Right now in orbit their lies an alliance fleet, servants of the Jedi, now a mercenary force, roaming the Uncharted regions of the Galaxy at whim. They are here to attack Coruscant, to take over our republic!”

At once senators began to rise, screaming at the Jedi, who were once their protectors. “They have charged weapons and are demanding we surrender, the Jedi are taking over the Republic!” Vedil screamed at the top of his lungs…

Chanting, and objects were now being thrown at the Coredian representative.

“You have bewitched our senators! You are attacking our people, our ships who are right now, at this very minute waging a war, upon which the fate of the Galaxy hinges, as of this moment, every single Jedi is now an enemy of the Republic.” Vedil lowered his hand upon the data-pad. “We must do what must be done, we must not hesitate nor show any mercy. GUARDS ARREST THE JEDI!”

From the corridors behind the Coredian delegation the stark sound of marching grew, Storm troopers slowly proceeded up the corridors while Republican guards advanced upon the enemy, force pikes stretched, ready to subdue the enemy of the Republic.

In space the orbital defence network was prepared, Golan V platforms enacted the order of the Chancellor and began raining fire down upon the Jedi temple. Coruscant shield network quickly rose, causing civilian vessels to impact and burn upon the invisible barrier.

In orbit Admiral Blathe signalled the fleet to assume a defensive formation, Star Destroyers and an ominous Imperial Super Star Destroyer formed up, holding position, preparing for the battle of Coruscant.

“Rebel forces, you have entered restricted territory, leave immediately or you will be destroyed this is your only warning.”

Blathe took his seat upon the command deck of the Super Star Destroyer Palpatine, now ready for combat.

“Order all vessels to target the impeller wedges of the capital vessels first, remove their shield then take them out with turbolaser fire. Have the ion cannons and surface weapons platforms prepare to open fire.”

A string of Yes Sirs emanated across the bridge. “Make sure we finish the Rebel scum off this time!”

The Jedi Temple had it's own shield, and the Golan V system activated, only to find an invisible barrier blocking its shots. The Jedi has been prepared for such an eventuality, and thus it would take a ground invasion to deal with the Temple, an invasion that would cost many lives. Master Alex Regalo, Council Member defending the Temple, sent word via the beacon to the other Jedi that Vedil is targeting them, and to watch out. But there were several hundred Jedi trapped in the Temple, mostly Padawans and the Little Tigers initiates, several hundred lives that would soon be lost.

"The TRUTH! You want the truth?!" Kieran thundered as the stormies began to fight with him, fists flying. "The proof, will be revealed!! You, Vedil, will be defeated!"

The Farstars senator accepted her arrest but she still attempted to call out to her fellow senators,

“These are Imperial lies, Vedil serves not the Republic only himself, do not be fooled by his trickery, He would silence the truth when it speaks out cant you see, there is no real democracy here only what Vedil wishes. He is the traitor not us or the jed--- “ her voice was cut off as she took a force staff to her stomach driving the air from her body, she fell to her knees as she was taken under arrest.

Admiral Kofri stood aboard the flag bridge of his flagship the MC-90 Mon Karrade. He observed the holo tank and the imperial position. There would be no tricks in this battle, it would be a slugging match but they outnumbered their enemy and they would attack with the fury of the righteous liberator, not something to be discounted. Thousands of fighters and the heavier LACs sped out in front of his fleet lead by the indomitable Antilles.

“Admiral our Confed units have entered missile range.” His chief of staff reported.

“Send Admiral Bentii my complements he is free to engage the enemy.” With that the previously deployed missile Pods from Bentii fifty ships of the wall were unleashed upon the imperial fleet pelting it with twenty-five thousand missiles every half a minute, each the strength of a turbo laser or Ion cannon, some even packing the heavy fusion warheads.

“Have the fleet come to 1-5-6 by 2-3-1 lets open the range a little if they want to close to energy range let them, but until that point lets use our range advantage for as long as we possess it.”

“Understood sir” His chief of staff said before issuing the orders. Kofri hoped that Hawkins was about to launch the second phase on the surface of the planet, the battle hinged upon it.

In Orbit

Admiral Blathe stood on the bridge of the Palpatine, his bland Imperial grey uniform was decorated in every medal the Imperial Navy had to offer, and he was not about to let his distinguished career collapse just because of a few rebels. The hologrid displayed the enemy fleet, it had a significant amount of smaller frigates and corvettes, however it lacked in the capital ship department, something the New Republic gained in extremes from the Empire. Sirens and claxons sounded throughout the ship as crews prepared for combat. Storm Troopers prepared themselves for hull breeches while gun turrets were activated, their targeting sensors encompassing the void.

“I want the fleet to maintain loose a formation with Malbers strike group up front. The frigates and corvettes are to reposition behind the larger craft for support. Tactical coordinate with the planetary defence grid, I want anything that comes into range of our forces to be hit by a missile and torpedo volley as soon as possible.”

“Fighters Admiral?”

“Have the squadrons hold position with the corvettes and frigates, they are to keep a defensive stance until ordered otherwise, pass the communication on.”

A young officer raised his head from his sensor console. “We have multiple energy spikes! Incoming contacts Admiral, Confederation missiles!”

“Have the Golans begun counter procedures?”

“Hornets launching now Admiral.”

From the Golan stations, forty meter cylinders were propelled into space, their sleek, long bodies moved towards the combat zone with a stable velocity. Passing the fleet with infinite determination the pods broke apart releasing thousands of missiles, each holding their position within the defence field area. As confederation attack missiles came into combat the Hornets each took to their job. Tracking, and following the enemy missiles the hornets began to fire pulses of intense gamma radiation, while others detonated into great nuclear fireballs. For those that escaped the initial defence field, smaller, faster knife like Hornets would use the oversized engines and collide sending it and its prey into the beyond.

Coruscant

Walking through the grand cargo bay doors Vedil strode in, his face twisted with anger and fury. “Lord Chronos, I trust you succeeded.” Taking the grin on the Sith’s face as an undeniable yes Palpatine nodded. “I have a task, which you and your apprentice will be most adept at completing Lord Chronos. Take the fourth legion into battle, destroy the Jedi temple and all who dwell within, wipe them out… all of them.” Clenching his hand in anger Palpatine paused for a moment. “Not one must survive, when you are inside, destroy the temples foundations, destroy the Jedi!”

Just as soon as Palpatine had arrived he left again to comfort the senate, who at this very moment, were concerned for their safety.

"As you wish, my master." Nightshade bowed before the Master of the Sith and walked away to prepare the Fourth Legion. She boarded a private shuttle and took a short ride to the barracks. The stormtroopers of the Fourth Legion soon readied their gunships and primed their blasters for battle. Battle against the Jedi Order.

----

It was a fairly peaceful night as the Golans seemed to slack off from the onslaught against the Jedi Temple. But the Jedi never breathed a sigh of relief, as they were trapped on Coruscant, unable to escape without help from above. The young Little Tigers were fearful as the pounding smashed against the shields, but there was a worse danger to come as the faint marching of boots came to pass.

Master Alex Regalo, youngest member of the Council, used the cameras embedded within the Temple to find out the reason for the great disturbance in the Force he felt, and the reason came all too clear. A cloaked Dark Lady of the Sith has led an army of clonetroopers into the Temple. She flung open the doors to the Temple with the power of the Dark Side and the nearest Jedi were cut down by her and the thousand clones.

There were over 600 Jedi in the Temple, most of them youngsters that didn't go elsewhere. Fatal mistake, as the Padawans were cut down by the power of the Dark Side and the mass of blaster fire from the clonetroopers. Lady Nightshade went through the Temple like a raging nexu, quickly dueling and cutting down every Jedi that crossed her path while the Clonetroopers took care of others. Age meant nothing to the Dark Side of the Force and indeed the younger the Jedi was, the more gruesome his or her death became. Lady Nightshade is fully consumed by the Dark, reveling in the blood she spills, cackling madly like the witch she was. She telepathically tore apart young minds then crushed their hearts and throats. She ripped apart bodies with [i]Dance of the Wind Blades and her lightsaber alone was reserved for the few Knights and Masters that engaged and lost their lives to her.

The Little Tigers themselves were frightened beyond belief and were in the capable hands of Master Regalo when a squad of stormtroopers stormed after them, firing blaster bolts that killed two initiates before the Master cut them down in seconds. The young ones were herded towards what appears to be safety, but due to the onslaught by the clones, was actually a trap for them as the Stormtroopers pounded them towards the Jedi Council chambers. Out of some thirty children, 20 survived including young Jacen Damar, the mindwiped boy.

As the Stormtroopers pushed them none too softly into the chambers, the Dark Lady smiled as she finished decapitating another Jedi and walked to the Council Chambers as if she was simply strolling in the hallways. Reaching the chambers, she drank the fear of the small ones as Master Regalo stood before her.

"I will take them myself. You go and hunt down the rest." She ordered her troops.

"Yes, ma'am." The troopers went down another hallway to fight and die at the hands of Jedi.

She turned her attention back to the Jedi Master. "Protecting the young ones to the end. How quaint. Too bad they must be swept aside and destroyed."

"Fiona, please. Come back to the light." Regalo pleaded, but an invisible hand grasped his throat. He concentrated and dispelled the Force Grip.

"The light? Hahaha, don't make me laugh!" Nightshade laughed darkly, chilling the air. "There's nothing light about me, not anymore. There's only power, and those who have it have the right to rule...and destroy all that is undesirable."

"Know my name and take it to your graves. I am Lady Nightshade, Dark Lady of the Sith!" She yelled, smashing into Regalo's saber defenses. The Jedi and Sith clashed with red and yellow lightsabers, but it was clear that Nightshade's mastery of the Dark Side was overwhelmingly powerful, and her offensive simply battered Regalo down until she was able to slice off an arm. The Master cried out in pain, and Fiona smirked as she drew up the Dark Side within her and began The Shattering of the Mind.

Master Regalo tried to shield against this most powerful telepathic blow, but the shield broke easily, and he screamed as his mind was shattered like glass, unable to defend against the onslaught of darkness that came within him. All his memories were torn apart and scattered across his consciousness, every last fabric of sanity was shredded to pieces. When Fiona was done, he was nothing but an empty shell and she concluded the death of the Jedi Master by flinging him out of the window in order for him to fall to his death.

The younglings screamed when she turned her predatory eyes upon them, but there was no one to save them, no one to rescue them from approaching death. She would feast on their young souls, for the Valley has granted her a terrifying new power to augment her Sphere of Destruction. Not only will it trap the children in a netherworld, but the trapped souls will fuel Nightshade's dark side powers, making her grow even more powerful in time. A black wind coursed through the Council Chambers, shattering the window plexiglass like nothing, as her hands crackled with black lightning, forming the Sphere that nearly destroyed her brother.

Tables and chairs were absorbed into the Sphere and the initiates tried to hold on to each other and stave off the vacuum, but they were too weak and one by one they were absorbed as well.

"Why, Fiona, Why?" The last child to be sucked in was young Jacen, and that was his last words before his next sensation was terrifying, consuming darkness. Lady Nightshade has completed the task of destroying the Jedi Temple and all within, from the oldest to the youngest. A terrible laugh echoed within the Jedi Temple's walls, a laugh darker than it was ever heard before.

Two Tantive-class corvettes lifted off from the planet of Tenetia, leaving the planet to recover from the recent battle with Chaos. One headed to Konoha, land of the shinobi. Another headed to Coruscant, with powerful stealth/cloaking fields to deflect most sensors away from it.

The fleet itself made repairs with the help of droids, and recovered anywhere from 50% to 80% depending on the extent of damage incurred by the battle. Some ships began to either head to shipyards for further recovery or if still well enough, resume battle with outer forces.

The Ghostbuster (no relation to the movie) sped through hyperspace towards Coruscant seemingly on a trip to hail the Chancellor as a hero...or something.

In reality, it contains the Masakis and a few friends, feeling the deaths of the 600 Jedi and coming to investigate and prosecute the law. Seriously. The Chancellor must be arrested...or defeated, whichever comes first.

"Now, Taylor and Jacob, you're wondering why I'm letting you do this highly dangerous mission with Rocky, right?" I asked as Naruto stood beside me, whisker-scars quivering with anticipation of battle. The twins nodded, carrying a bag full of the items needed for The Plan.

"Well, it's because I have an idea that would employ your prankster natures and your double-teaming..." I began to tell them of the idea, which will involve out-maneuvering the master politician with The Truth.

---One plan later---

"So what do you think?" I asked.

"It's pretty risky, but with our skills, we could do it." Taylor replied. "We'd have to find the right people..."

"You'll find them, trust me." I smirked.

"Ok, anything else?" Jacob asked.

I shrugged. "Just stay away from the Dark Lords. If you must fight, do so only with the intention to escape. Your best hope is against our sister, but she's almost as powerful as I am, so be very careful if you engage her. Same with Palpatine or Chronos."

The twins nodded as Grandpa exited the cockpit. "We're coming up on Coruscant. Be ready."

Of the Golden Army that's coming to fight the Dark Lords, three are going to engage them directly. I will fight Palpatine. So will Master Elendil if Chronos isn't around. Grandpa will duel his granddaughter. The next three, Taylor, Jacob and Naruto will execute the plan I made with them codenamed: Operation Truth Seeker.

We reverted to realspace and sent a tightbeam transmission to another location. I nodded as I got confirmation, and we approached the city-planet itself.

Tenetia

Vice Admiral Braci had just taken over command of the Death Star with the immediate implementation of the chancellors personalised orders. The fleets were now converging upon Coredian territory, the Death Star once again bust out of hyperspace, but this time it arrived was a small escort consisting of destroyers and frigates.

Each planet in the system showed the hallmarks of battle; great moon sized craters scared the landscapes while black clouds of smoke covered the atmospheres. People on the planets below attempted to salvage their lives and their homes, unawares of the Death Star’s imminent arrival.

The Golan battle grids were, for the most part intact. The Chronosian warriors had been unable to attack the great stations hidden under the planets shielding and heavy defences. Deep inside the superstructures the clone command crews received their orders and prepared to enact them to their fullest. Across the Coredian holo-network channels would be shut down and communications blocked, the only one remaining operational channel would be the emergency frequency reserved for the chancellor himself. The great circular symbol of the Imperial Navy appeared, signalling its dominion.

On the grid the bland, immobile face of a clone commander appeared, his monotone voice betraying his emotionless state. “People of Coredia, in accordance with the supreme Senates rulings, from the divine hand of Chancellor Vedil himself, I have no choice but to place Coredia and all of its planets and colonies under martial law for the time being. It has just been made public that a Jedi conspiracy has been underway, in an attempt to weaken our defences, and our resolve from within, so that the Chronosians and Doomans may reign supreme, with the Jedi as tyrannical warlords destroying and taking what the desire at will. Therefore, the senate has authorised the reward of one hundred million credits for information leading to the arrest of any Jedi in the Galaxy.” The communication continued in its bland state for some time, reinforcing the betrayal of the Jedi and the righteousness of the Republic.

However the transmission was merely a subtle decoy, while almost everyone in the Coredian state would be glued to the holonetworks, great legions would be landing upon the planets surface, millions of droids in total, making their way into towns and cities, establishing the Imperial edict.

Of course, a majority did not believe in the lies but there's nothing that could be done except to hope that their true leader Masaki reigns supreme over the enemy. They know the past, and they realize the possibility of a second evil Empire brought again by Vedil, as Palpatine once did. Quiet rumors of Vedil being a relative of Palpatine began to float around, but were hushed whenever the droids came around. The President was impotent in the face of this evil, and could do nothing, for to do anything would result in the destruction of millions.

Many Jedi fled. Many Jedi were cornered, fought and died. Many more took up disguises and shut down their powers. Some were hidden as the Jews were hidden long ago on a planet far, far away against the Nazis. The young ones were hidden well, but many will still die as they are sought out and killed. It is the Jedi Purges all over again. Long live the Empire indeed.

When the Tantive gunship Striker reverted to realspace at the edge of Konoha's system and heard about the martial law program, the fifty or so Jedi and shinobi aboard that ship were quite unhappy about the Jedi Purges beginning, none more so than Katrina Rastein (not a Jedi), soon to be Mrs. Masaki (it is still known only to a few friends and family members). Most of the Masaki family are Jedi, so that means they're in great danger.

"With Martial Law being executed, we can't exactly get to Konoha now." Sasuke sighed. "All we can do is either hope..."

Katrina was taking care of the two youngest Masakis, little cousin Keith (5) and his slightly older brother Brandon (9). "So where did we hide the children? The Jedi ones and shinobi ones for the war?"

"Jurai." Sakura simply said. "None of the Imperials know of the planet. Not even Vedil or Nightshade. Most of the academy students and Jedi have fled there just before the Purges began, using routes that would be hard for even droids to track through under the best of circumstances. It's also close enough to Godular that we could expect help from them if we need it, and we will."

"What about Jacen?" Jacen Masaki is the oldest cousin at 14, just younger than the twins.

"Mission to Godular." Sasuke said, sending a tightbeam report transmission to the Hokage reporting on the battle of Tenetia.

"Then let's go to Godular as well and seek asylum" Katrina ordered. Her dragon Haylee and her fiance's dragon Ryujin were asleep on a couch.

"Very well." Sasuke nodded, and began to make another run into hyperspace after sending another tightbeam message to Hokage saying they'll be out of the nation for a while. Then he pulled the lever and jumped into hyperspace for Godular space.

Chronos led his Clone Troopers and Sith warriors up into the bowels of the great ship; Doomhammer; his personal flagship, which had been called from Drummond Kaas to Coruscant, and now set about readying it, to bring it through the atmosphere, up and into the vast depths of space. The engines were warming....

Pausing, running his fingers across scarred flesh, he pondered his mission; they were to lead a ship through the worlds of the Core; and institute the Purge in whatever way he could. Smirking wryly, eager to cleanse world after world of Jedi, the Dark Lord of the Sith made his preperations. He had barely even consulted his Master on this, and knew that his departure would leave him a tad...Exposed. Did that matter? They only intended to stay long enough to finish off the fighting once and for all, and thanks to them essentially being the concrete foundation behind the fact that the Coredians had taken the battle, the Godulans walked away largely unscathed.

Recording the Martial Law edict as they prepared to Iterate back into Godulan space, the commander of the HomeGuard battle fleet had to fight back the urge to fire off a quick "You can take that juris-my-diction crap and shove it up yer a**!" as the Probability drives went up and took them back home. As it was, they left without a peep.

Back in Talbott and Thorn, refugees were just now finding themselves with room to move as the sudden influx of manpower and industrial resources meant that several of the Godulan installations had suddenly ballooned in size and capability. The Thorn Asteroid field, with its eight planetesimals being settled in such a manner that each installation had enough firepower to match a decent sized fleet, along with the capacity to hold millions of people in something remotely akin to comfort.

The Terraforming projects in Talbott were also well under way, as the massive volume of ships meant that transportation of ice from the primary system's surprisingly thick oort cloud was expedited by several orders of magnitude. The planet was surprisingly receptive, and with massive electrolysis plants and atmosphere recycling centers under construction, terraforming was expected to be fully underway within weeks, and actually DONE within a matter of months.

As it was though, the godulans still found themselves thankful that a massive chunk of the refugees were allowed to settle down temporarily on Jurai, due to Coredian generosity.

The whole Triad issue was getting on everyone's nerves in general, knowing that they couldn't go back to help their homeworld as the Archons fought to keep back the oncoming scourge of the Phages. The Balroggans had shown their own generosity by offering, seemingly out of nowhere, to reinforce the resistance forces against the Triad.

The Godulans would forget neither kindness, but right now, other issues were coming into the fray.

The situation with the Imperial Senate was getting out of hand, and with the bounty suddenly being placed on the heads of all jedi in general, and Jurai being their primary respite, it would be important to protect that system with all stops pulled.

Already, token fleets were moving out to reinforce the defenses around Jurai with several nasty Godulan surprises, soon to be joined in turn by a large chunk of the HomeGuard fleet returning from Tenetia.

General Lear had also received word of a single vessel heading for Godulan Space, intelligence reports showed that it was carrying several dozen Jedi seeking to avoid capture by the imperials.

Lear sighed in exasperation, the notion that the situation had turned about, if only in small scale, proved little help. Things just kept getting wierder.

She sent out the orders to allow the ship passage into Thorn, and to expedite docking procedures with the LongArm.

"Well, mister Masaki," She said, turning to Jacen, still riveted upon the intelligence reports, "Maybe there IS something you can do."

OOC: This RP is for the resolution of the war as it applies to the battle above Coruscant, the jedi purge that occured there is only a side note so any RP's that spawn from that should be given a seperate thread. IC: Admiral Kofri watched as numerous small Imperial Icons appeared in the holo-tank, he watched them intercept his incoming missile with a success he would not have expected from the Imperials. They were finally produces rather capable anti-missile defenses. Nonetheless about twenty percent around 3,000 of his missiles survived to reach attack range pelting the enemy with heavy turbo laser and Ion beams, such an attack would pelt the Imperial fleet and the Golan every thirty seconds roughly.

He gave orders to the Confederation battlewagons to continue the missile barrage, he was content to attack the Imperials from a range they couldn’t respond from, unless they left the protection of their Golan bases, from orbit, if they did so both fleet would close and the matter would be deiced. His largest ships carried the capability to bombard the Imperial fleet at this rate for another hour, which would equate to over 6,000 missile detonations a minute, either the Imperials would close with him or be destroyed.

Hawkins had hoped to save some of the Jedi student, he was no longer a member of the Order but he detested their slaughter. The issue must be settled and it needed to be settled now before more people died under Palpatine’s hand.

The greatest of all Sith Lords did not even try to hide his presence, it was either arrogance on his part or a trap, Hawkins suspected it was a little bit of both.

He flew through the busy streets of Coruscant in a Confederation Assault shuttle though to any imperial scanners it would appear to be a normal airbus unless they scanned it visually. He knew exactly where he wanted to go, right where Vedil was now, in his office at the senate building.

Hawkins craft piloted by a crew loyal to him hovered outside the window of the Chancellor’s office, he could feel the tainted man’s presence with in. The hatch on the flank of the vessel opened and in its entry stood Hawkins with a long menacing looking cylinder on his shoulder. Anyone in the Confederation Military would have identified the instrument as Rancor Shoulder Launched HEAT Missile, the orange ball of its projectile impacted upon the reinforced window with such force that it was shattered, leaving only a smoking opening, it was through this opening that Hawkins jumped through to enter Palpatine’s office. He would end the twisted man’s life this day and shatter his empire, or die trying.

Blathe stood on the command deck watching the holo map which depicted a great blue swarm still moving towards the Imperial defence grid. Destroyers were suffering impacts and the computers targeting systems were lumbering on, unable to track the enemy missiles; a common failing on almost every Imperial star ship. “How long until they run out of missiles.” Blathe demanded.

“Our intelligence, based on previous combat with the confederate ships put their armament at another hours worth Admiral. Perhaps we could try rotating the forward vessels with the secondary lines?”

Shaking his head Blathe knew it wouldn’t work, he had to get his fleet into close proximity with the enemy vessels, where the durability of the Destroyers would prevail. “Signal the fleet, have all ships enter Hyperspace for the Coruscant secondary node.”

“Admiral?”

“We are not retreating, just improvising, now do it!”

The rebel missile batteries continued their assault while the Imperial fleet slowly turned, within an instant the white dagger shaped ships vanished into Hyperspace, apparently fleeing the battle.

Coruscant

The room shook violently as Hawkins made his entrance, the lights were dimmed, causing shadows to lurk everywhere, each one slowly creeping around the room as hover craft streamed past.

At the back of the office, a lone figure lurked, apparently waiting for the Jedi to make his entrance, waiting for him to fail. Stepping out of the shadows the chancellor scoffed at Hawkins. Moving slightly closer Palpatine came into the light, his hood keeping half his face in shadow. “Predictable as ever Jedi, surely you must now realise you have lost, the Empire will rise again. I have foreseen it, you… will die here, your friends will perish, and your world will burn, the Galaxy will be mine, it is inevitable.”

"Funny Old man the only thing that I perceive as inevitable is your fall, what will this be number three is it? Perhaps the third time will be the charm eh?" Hawkins said sarcastically. "You never really were very good at fighting your own battle though were you, either having Vader or some other pawn like Nightshade do it for you, as I recall it was a one armed Vader that threw you to your death above Endor."

Now Hawkins voice became serious,

"I am no Jedi, I am not a Knight of the Light or of the Dark. I am become grey, I stand between the candle and the abyss. Now you will face your judgment Palpatine.” Hawkins stated evenly his voice betraying no emotion as he prepared to duel the strongest Sith in the galaxy, his light saber leapt to his hand ignighting with a snap-hiss filling the room in its green hue. “Your tyranny ends now!”

A blade of fire erupted from Palpatines sabre hilt, crackling into the room it clashed with the bland and neutral white of Hawkins blade. Spinning Palpatine, struck, side stepped and out manoeuvred Hawkins at every step. The Jedi would strike and Palpatine would be gone, hidden, in the shadows, before charging with his own attack, glancing, snapping at the lone warriors defences, while a wide grin crept over his face.

“You Jedi, are too predictable, arrogant as you are stupid. Your attack will finish your order, and destroy what confidence the people ever had in it, you and every one of your kind will die. Even as we speak, hundreds of Jedi are falling through the Galaxy, it is only a matter of time before your world comes once again under my grip.”

The sabre hilts once again locked, held there by the will of the force, by the mystical energy that both Jedi and Sith sought to control, sought to master. Lifting his right hand Palpatine sent a great pulse into Hawkins face, a release of force power that shook the senates very foundations.

As Hawkins fought off the dark one's attacks, he replied quickly to his words,

"What's the lives of hundreds or even thousands of Jedi when compared to the lives of the trillions of innocence your tyranny have already claimed?" Hawkins spat back. It was at the conclusion of his words that the emperor struck at him with the powerful force blow.

Hawkins like his deceased student had lived a privileged life, his childhood was rough and his family had became the Marine Corps, and that was a family where you learned how to fight and survive, its was also one that taught you how to take a punch you couldn’t avoid, you do not tense yourself in preparation but rather let yourself go slack and roll with it and so Hawkins "Rolled" with this one. Just before it hit he pushed himself backwards with the force essentially allowing the crushing blow to only graze him throwing him backward with great velocity, through the nearby wall. Well his body never impacted on it for Hawkins used some force energy to blow a whole through the wall before he impacted. He rolled as he hit the ground, recovering. Quickly he sent a dozen small force balls rocketing through the whole in the wall straight for Palpatine.

Hawkins did not follow them through instead him blew another whole in the ceiling and jump unto that. He sprinted over to where he would be above Palpatine, and blew another hole through the thin roof, through that it would seem that no less then six Hawkins would fall through and attack Palpatine from all sides.

---

“So they are making their move, though I see for the first time they have developed a less then crude anti-missile system, though not perfect it is still not effective enough.” Kofri stated.

“What do you mean sir?” His chief of staff asked.

“Contact the Confed dreadnaughts I want them to extend out from the main line and to roll ship perpendicular the elliptical plane, Have them also prepare sabots, Order the LACs and Heavy fighters to kick it out from the fleet 500 thousand klicks.” As his orders were being issue he keyed on the fleet wide coms.

“Fleet, This is the Flag prepare for energy engagement.”

Hawkins was not alone on the streets of Coruscant, in fact he had snuck through customs a veritable army and among those were 4 Y-Wings that now approached their main target, a shield generator and its tertiary substations once knocked out it would a section of the shield grid approximately 2km by 2km wide. They targeting computers rang with a solid ring tone as no less then 32 proton torpedoes were shot at the shield generator and the surrounding substations.

The Jedi flew up into the air, vanishing from sight he scurried along, skulking in the above alcove. Crashing through the roof, Hawkins seemed to accelerate spinning around Palpatine in an instant, hitting and flailing at the dark lords defences to little or no avail.

Against any normal foe, Hawkins would have succeeded, against any other Sith Hawkins would have succeeded, but against Palpatine, the grey Jedi would fail. Palpatine no longer used his senses to fight, he felt inwards, delved into the force, concentrating his hatred and passion, creating a deep pool of power available, an inexhaustible reserve of ability. Without even realising it Palpatines blade swirled to meet Hawkins, the fire glimmered in the shadow moving in a whirl of light, contacting wherever Hawkins blade would fall. His hands were guided, by a faint whisper on the wind, the dark lord would here faintly in his mind here and his sabre would move, defending his physical existence. Within a fraction of a second Hawkins attack had failed, leaving Palpatine to move on the offence.

From all around the room objects began to levitate, passing through the dark in a combined attack meant to distract Palpatines opponent, at the exact moment the objects hit with bone crunching force, Sidious would erupt in a great attack.. Once again raising his hand, Palpatine would this time send great swathes of blue crackling lightning forth to strike his opponent.

The clone monitoring station in sector twelve 1189A, detected outlawed bombers closing in on a shield emitter responsible for the planets well being. If it were to fail, wreckage, and fire could rain down from above causing multitudes of casualties. In a typical clone reaction missiles unquestioningly flew from their tubes, aimed towards the incoming Y-wings. Some of the bombers received direct hits disintegrating in the fire, though all managed to release their payload. Thirty-two torpedoes flew forth and impacted upon the shield generator, reducing it to smoking rubble. The defence force would immediately employ the fail safe, based on the Death Stars shielding itself. All nearby shield emitters would slowly alter their angle, sealing the hole in the planets shield, though causing a weaker section overall, but, with the energy reserves of Coruscant, the planetary shield was hardly weak, no matter the Shield dishes angle. In a small grind of mechanics the hole in the shield slowly begun to close.

The objects sped towards Hawkins with such velocity that if they impacted the shock could break bone. Not one would hit Hawkins though mere inches from his body they stopped instantly hovering for just a moment before they shoot back outwards clearing Hawkins vision only moments before the lightning would have reached his body, though he was prepared for that attack as he felt its preparation though the force, and was admittedly one of the Sith Lords favorite attacks.

His outstretched hand intercepted the deadly bolt and transformed its deadly energy into something that was absorbed into Hawkins body himself, he used the Sith Lord's own attack to help power his next. He would transform into an avatar of the force, with such power that his corporal body could barley contain it. It was the Form Knight Caller took to oppose Nightshade and now Hawkins who had perfected the form initiated it for the first time in this battle.

With a guttural scream an immensely powerful force wave erupted from Hawkins body in all directions. It would lift furniture and people of the ground and would level any nearby walls,. It was so strong that the very tower seemed to shake. There would not appear to be any change to Hawkins himself except for two things, his eyes were completely white and a blindingly bright white aura was emitted from his body, there would be no more shadows in the now well light room.

Hawkins voice was now deep and not his own,

"How about we end these childish games Palpatine, the duel begins for real now."

We didn't stay relieved because there is just one little problem:

"Foolish rebels! Surrender now and we'll treat you nicely...maybe." The commander punctuated the statement with a hell of a lot of fighters and laser batteries from the ground. The gunship's own laser cannons spoke their disagreement and sent enemy fighters to the scrap yard in an instant.

"Shields at 75% and falling fast." Taylor reported. "Whatever you're about to do, Gramps, do it fast!"

Composite beam cannons raked the shields of the Striker as gunships joined the fight, shaking the ship. "We're getting close to the Senate to drop you kids off. Elendil and I will then pursue Miss Nightshade. We'll lose the ship, then slip to our targets."

"Alright!" I said. "Naruto, get ready!"

"Right!" The blond haired young man replied with a kitsune grin.

Grandpa and Master Elendil held off the enemy assault as long as they could and at the moment we heard the alarms that spelled doom for the ship as the composite beams began carving it up, I grabbed Naruto and Grandpa grabbed Master Elendil and we all disappeared just as the ship blew apart under the onslaught...

Palpatine braced against the titanic pulse thrown out from Hawkins, the great wave of energy slammed into Sidious attempting to quench the fire. Engulfing the dark lord with the power and strength of a Rancor. Palpatine had no choice but to channel the energy through his being corrupting it, and twisting his flesh. The wave passed but yet Palpatine remained.

Chuckling the Sith lord smiled at his opponent now glaring with light, brightening the room in an attempt to ward off the dark. Sidious raised his sabre in preparation for offence, it was apparent that the dual would end shortly. Striking out Palpatine pushed against the Jedi’s defences, probing through Hawkins undefined style, allowing the force to control his moves. Slowly it would begin to dawn on Hawkins his error, the error of all Jedi, that every light, casts an even greater shadow. The Sith had learned this, and utilised it to their advantage, manipulating the force in ways the Jedi had yet to comprehend, for every strike Hawkins made with the force, Palpatine was there, in its shadow, manipulating it, turning it against the Jedi’s very fabric, turning it against his life.

Now joined by his third apprentice Palpatine grew in confidence, striking forth with greater power, the shadow slowly consumed the light.

The Government district was the most unusual part of Coruscant, the buildings, and great spires were actually very close to ground level, it was the only place on the planet where house process rose the closer to ground level you became.

This was intended as a symbolism for the masses, that the Senate was there for all levels of society, even those that lurked in the dark and shady low levels. However its primary method was for defence, the layout was removed of spires and buildings that could get in the way of the military, excluding the great spire of the Jedi temple. As a result, the Republic had created a crisscrossed system perfect for a defending army.

Marshal law had been declared on Coruscant only a few hours ago, the Senate was in session, debating on the Jedi, and the extents of which they should be punished. The Chancellor had retired, to deal with pressing matters regarding the war effort, in his place was the senate speaker Kar August, a tall, lean Kaminan, known for his quick wit and deadly tongue, as they debated, sounds of battle would slowly reach their ears.

Commander Sixty six, was in charge of the senates defence, an elite ARC trooper he had greater experience in almost every matter of strategy, tactics and weapon use than any normal clone; he had judged only a few days earlier that only a mercenary from the outer rim could rival him in cold bloodedness.

Scanning the horizon, Sixty Six was on maximum alert, reports of a shield breech and a destroyed gunship were flooding through, worryingly all scans indicated to a Coredian vessel, a type previously classified as a “secret” Aristocratic vessel, which meant a Jedi was surely on board. Every clone had heightened their reflexes, and senses, either the Jedi on board the gunship would be heading towards the temple, or they would be heading for the Senate, to try and complete their coo.

The clone commanders binoculars locked on to four heat signatures, they were not hiding, or slinking through the shadows, but they were bravely, and rather foolishly walking side by side, down one of the many grand roads leading towards the senate. Lifting his right hand and clenching it, the Senate dome was thrown into lock down. Heavy Durasteel doors thundered down, as the many dignitaries inside were afforded protection, they Jedi were surely here to execute them. Putting the faces into the Republics databank Sixty Six obtained a positive match, the approaching figures were Jedi scheduled for termination.

“All hands are ordered to open fire. Kill the Jedi, use pulse weapons and kinetic grenades only.”

The orders moved through the ranks and slowly the Jedi would be facing hundreds of troopers armed with the Geonosian pulse weapons, specifically designed to terminate the force users. As each trooper lined up in typical Napoleonic fashion the order to fire was relinquished, and the battle begun….

The mass of fire overwhelmed the teenagers and they were blasted into pieces by the many weapons. All that was left was a hole in the ground where they were killed. It was the end...

or is it?

The clouds darkened, and lightning flashed. The elements seemed to howl in anger at the "death" of the foursome and a great series of lightning strikes crackled down upon the enemies, exploding whereever they touch. Lightning was followed by a mass of meteors the size of large beach balls raining down upon the clones like artillery shells. The massed Napoleonic formation became a death trap for the clones as they were routed by the forces of the elements.

Suddenly, lightsabers flashed in the middle of the formation right next to the Senate, slicing dozens of clones, disappearing and reappearing like wraiths as my brothers and I systematically decimated the clone ranks with speed and teleportation combined. The lightning was my Lightning Strike technique and the fire was Taylor's Meteor Strike. As for Naruto? He attacked with a mass of Kage Bunshin clones that matched the clonetroopers in numbers, giving us the break we needed to get to the Senate itself...and Palpatine.

We stormed through the doors of the Senate, durasteel being no match for the power of the Force itself and headed quickly towards the Senate Arena. I have an important speech to make, and no clone, Sith or Imperial would stop me from making it!

Perhaps it is you who is attempting to take over the Republic and not the chancellor? Clone wars are indeed very coincidental, but we were betrayed from within not least by yourselves. You have just slaughtered hundreds of soldiers, destroyed a shield emitter killing thousands of civilians and, I have yet to see solid evidence against the Chancellor, everything you bring before me is circumstantial.

Even if what you say is true, name a law where it is illegal for Palpatine to come to power, where it is illegal for a Sith to sit in office? The man was elected legally elected, I myself voted for him, pulling him out of office would only undermine the principles of democracy. Without solid evidence I cannot impeach the chancellor.”

Lifting a blaster pistol in his right hand August looked down upon the Jedi. “You are all under arrest for murder, breech of the peace, breaking and entry and treason. Surrender your weapons or I will open fire.”

"Well, I'm sorry you've been caught up in the war against the Jedi and the Sith, the war of good verses evil, but it cannot be helped. You hear me? It is a WAR for the Republic that we, the Jedi Order fight, alone if we must." I emphasized. "We did not betray the Republic, despite the lies Palpatine told you. We would never betray it, even if it betrays us. Oh, and Palpatine was never destroyed, only set back. You could check the Jedi Archives anytime you want for verification but he has the power to possess others."

"Well, obviously it's not illegal for Sith to be in power, but it still doesn't make it right, since more often than not, they seize power as soon as they're entrenched and any government under them will be a dictatorship. It is the way of the Sith."

Lifting a blaster pistol in his right hand August looked down upon the Jedi. “You are all under arrest for murder, breech of the peace, breaking and entry and treason. Surrender your weapons or I will open fire.”
I sighed. Palpatine really did a job on him. "Very well. It appears to me that I cannot expect help from the likes of you. I'll just have to arrest the Chancellor myself and restore the Senate. I will not fight you, I have no quarrel with you. I warn you, if you try to stop me and by chance kill me, there will be nothing to stop Vedil from taking complete control of the galaxy. Believe me or don't, but that is the truth. If you want to stop me, considering that you will be the death of the Republic, be my guest." I stared straight into his eyes, and he could see nothing but truth and sincerity in mine.

Expecting him to shoot anytime, I turned around and walked away, towards the hallway that leads to the Chancellor's office. One thing about the Sith is correct. The Senate is corrupted, but what can you do when people need a say in the running of the government?

"Brother, now what?" Taylor asked as the twins and Naruto followed.

"We go after the Chancellor himself. Hawkins needs our help." I said. "If nothing else, we can remove an evil Sith Lord from power and leave Coruscant somehow, return to Coreworlds and take the throne there. It is clear the Republic doesn't need the Jedi anymore." I glanced with pity and sadness at the tall Kaminan.

Losing faith in the Republic to defeat the Sith was the saddest thing I've ever done, I would reflect years later.

Nightshade’s wind blades never touched Hawkins body instead they only blunted themselves upon the force barrier he erected. Unlike her last opponent Hawkins was not "mere" Jedi knight but a master of the force and her half-hearted attack would not harm him as it did his apprentice.

Hawkins drew a second light saber from his robe its yellow blade about a quarter length smaller then his white blade. He felt Palpatine push his barrier of light back, he opened his body completely to the force pushing the darkness back, creating a balance, his body would pay the price latter.

Duel wielding his blades Hawkins meet his opponents every move, if the duel was viewed by the unskilled eye it would have seem to be a blur of moving characters and of light. Sharp hissing and snaps as the four blades met each other every few tenths of a second. To Hawkins things moved considerably slower, he was aware of his opponents next dozen possible moves before they committed to one, and he reacted to them all guided by the force. It would have had the sounds of a war, the walls shook, perhaps even the whole building with the violence and intensity of this fight.

Hawkins was fueled by a need of vengeance to make Nightshade pay for her crimes as well as the Emperor, his counter assaults to his opponents moves were relentless, but where Palpatine seemed to be able to fend the off without pause, Nightshade was tiring. Perhaps not terribly so but just enough to leave here open for a second to long.

Hawkins looked into her eyes for a half second before he smiled then opened his mouth wide, emitting from it a powerful force scream meant to disorientate the Sith Knight to faze her preventing the concentration necessary to devote to defense of teleportation, leaving her open for his second attack. As the shrill voices of all those she has harmed and killed, the voice of the Jedi at the temple, of Caller even her own mothers voice overwhelmed her mind Hawkins sent a force wave at her chest it was not intended to throw her back but rather to act more like a sledge hammer, to shatter her ribs. It was a coupe de Force, such a powerful and violent attack Hawkins was known for.

The double attack forced her to delve deeply into the Dark Side of the Force to ward them off, redirecting the telekinetic assault into a wall, smashing it down before a couple of frightened patrons. The telepathic attack was rebounded by her own powers upon Hawkins, though she had to waste power to do that and was suntered by the deaths of all she killed and her mother's scolding. She managed to ignore them, but not without cost.

Kar August, frowned, though he did not open fire. Lowering his weapon the Kaminan sat in the speakers chair, allowing the Jedi to pass through the long, exposed tunnel. He allowed them to continue to walk unawares of the simple trap that many years before Anakin Skywalker himself fell into. At the cross tunnels, energy barriers fell down from hidden slits in the walls, trapping the Jedi in an intersection. August knew what the Jedi was saying was true, because, he himself was a part of the plan.

So sure they are in their judgement of characters, never do the second guess themselves. What fools.

Walking out of the senate Dome August sent a security warning on all channels, the Jedi were heading towards the chancellor.

Outside on the streets Sixty Six was lifted out of the rubble by several other clones, who had kindly lifted the neutronium spire off his legs. Quickly thanking his mono-valide armour Sixty Six took account of the situation. Thousands of clones had arrived as reinforcements, many were ARC troopers, and in the distance droid dispensers were moved into position. This time the Jedi were outnumbered, and just incase they would win, Sixty Six would utilise the Republics greatest Jedi threat, one of the remaining force inhibitors.

Ordering troops into position Sixty Six was interrupted by a priority message, the Jedi had breeched internal security.

Palpatine fought a battle in which he toyed with his prey. Dancing around the lightsaber strikes, Sidious moved into Hawkins weak zones, striking out with feeble force attacks, all meant to throw the Jedi off from the true meaning of the darkside. Hawkins was utilising the force in a method meant for berserkers, he was now fuelled by emotion striking out, becoming one with the force, but that in itself was dangerous. Becoming one with the force, allowed one to be attacked through it, it allowed one to become open to its will, open to subtlety.

Hawkins drew in a great amount of power, becoming one with the force, channelling it through his body, in a river of light, but the lightside, no matter where it flows casts an even greater shadow. Palpatine manipulated the force as it channelled through Hawkins, the power erupted towards nightshade in a great attack though some of itremained within the Jedis being, the energy were manipulated into needles of flame, fire which would tear at Hawkins arteries, in a cold blooded attempt to end the battle. Walking away Palpatine judged the battle over, he had other Jedi to deal with now.

As the chancellor passed out of the reception area of the office, sixty six floated into view, two Jedi were fighting, one was known as Lady Nightshade, a mercenary from the outer rim, now established as an extra guard for the Chancellor. While the other was a Jedi. “You are under arrest!” Sixty Six boomed. Without hesitation the rest of the squad floated into view, their energy packs burning with a bright blue flame. Within an instant hundreds of energy pulses were thrown towards Hawkins.

"Yeah. Isn't that like them? Use chakra, then." Naruto suggested. "We'll be cut off from our main powers, but we can still sense and use secondary powers."

I nodded. "Taylor, be ready to use fire jutsus."

"Right."

Irony of ironies. It's how my dad died two years ago. Trapped in a box like some kind of animal.

Meanwhile, the sounds of battle reached the ears of the twins and Naruto, and they could see Hawkins fighting the Sith Lord Nightshade and Clone Commander 66.

Hawkins arteries and veins burned with fire and he fell to his knees, he spit out blood from his mouth. Such an attack would have killed any less of a man buy Hawkins body had been genetically altered to rebuild itself in the case of trauma such as gunshot wounds and the like. A bitter laugh left Hawkins thought as Palpatine left the room when he was gone the clones filled the room and he heard their leader's voice,

“You are under arrest!” With this Hawkins pressed a button on his sleeve and he spoke to Nightshade.

"Cover me!" Jacob shouted, as he pulled out an alchemist's marker and started drawing a large circle with triangles in it on the floor. This is a transmutation circle, used by ordinary alchemists to transmutate objects. He slammed his hands on the circle and concentrated. Energy crackled on the walls, the floors and the ceilings, and giant sharp spikes pierced outwards to impale the clonetroopers. Incidently, the spikes would also protect from the majority of blaster bolts for a time.

Naruto surrounded the twins with several blaster-blocking Kage Bunshins while Taylor readied his fire jutsu, blowing out a massive ball of fire at Clone commander 66.

Jacob continued to wrack powerful alchemic damage upon the clonetroopers, but without the Force, he's tiring quickly, and a blaster bolt managed to hit him in the arm. "Augh!"

In Hawkins mind the Force spoke to him, he heard the screams of the padawan’s and the children Nightshade had massacred, he felt the terrible pain Master Regalo experienced as his mind was destroyed by Nightshade’s sadistic attack. This echoes of despair and pain fueled Hawkins efforts and filled him with a resolve that could never be broken, he would bring Nightshade to justice just as he had so many Sith before her.

There, Nightshades assault paused for only a second time enough for Hawkins to begin his offensive. Palpatine was correct in calling Hawkins a berserker and now Nightshade alone isolated from her master’s dark powers would be the fury of the light side.

Hawkins attack the Sith with a furious offensive his blows not only landing in rapid succession but with awesome force, so much that the Sith would be worn down quickly or perhaps wounded.

Hawkins stated noticing the battered Sith Knight attempting to withdrawal as he approached her with his light sabers glowing.
She began to smile, even as she was battered. "Perhaps I may, perhaps I won't, dear Hawkins. But I won't face it, not today. I have more important things to do than play with you. See you next time!"

She cloaked the whole Senate roof in darkness, and when it cleared, she was gone.

Seconds later, Master Masaki and Master Elendil reappeared. "Missed her."

Clone Intelligence had finally reacted to the situation in typical clone style. Half of Coruscants ground forces had been mobilised, the area was swarming with droids, clones, ARC troopers, walkers, and even fighters, which dominated the skies above.

With the reports of escaped Jedi Masters, Yasimallri had been released throughout the ranks, a resource the military did not find lacking, thanks to the former Grand Admirals ample supply. Passing by the Dark Lord Chronos the great clone army ignored him, continuing to move into the Senate building like a great tide of fear. Every level was being searched every room cleared, all in the name of the Republic.

Daniel teleported shimmering out of existence, if it were any other Jedi Palpatine would have been surprised, but this was a known favourite of Daniels tactics, and as such a counter was already prepared. Using the force, becoming utterly open to it, allows you to be attacked through it. Palpatine altered the energy currents of the force, those that were Daniels anchor in this reality. In a fraction of a second, Daniels emergence position would be altered, he would reappear upon Palpatine blade of shimmering fire.

The Masters were rather clever, using the art of disguise and illusion to hide from the armies until the time was right. For all intents and purposes, they appear to have disappeared from Coruscant...

Blue blade suddenly clashed against red and pushed it aside as I reappeared. "So, you could move me while I teleport. Surprised me, that."

I wouldn't be trying that for a while, so I stuck to dueling him.

Hawkins watched as TIEs flew through the dark skies of Coruscant, massed formations of troops walked along the cities roofs and hover through its alleys along with the large legless hover walkers. He looked at the other two Jedi Master all older then he, Hawkins was barley a day over thirty though his body pitted and scarred seemed much older, such was the price of his liberal use of the force, every action had an equal and opposite reaction.

"Right this instant Daniel is fighting Palpatine, we should aide him together we can slay Palpatine, though whether Palpatine is felled or not we do possess proof of his betrayal of the people." Hawkins pulled a small camera no more then 2 cm in diameter from his robe, "Got it all on camera, it has internal stabilizers so the picture should be clear even with the combat. It may not be worth much here but perhaps on the rim."

"I sense the Fleet is still fighting in Orbit, I can get us off the planet but time is of the essence, we need to cut our losses, collect Daniel and get off the planet. It is too late to save the Twins, they are on their own." Hawkins said coldly and cruelly, he too had been a prisoner of the empire, he knew what they would face, but this was a military operation and losses were to be sustained, they hurt but life as they say is a bitch and you can always get want you want. Hawkins would know this, he after all was forced to leave his wife behind to Imperial hospitality.

Light and Dark clashed as Daniel and Palpatine fought for power, fought for victory, fought for dominion. Daniel struggled against tyranny and evil, Palpatine strove to bring order and structure to the Galaxy, he strove to rebuild the Republics tired foundations. Clashing with sabres, lightning flew from Palpatines body repeatedly smashing against the Jedi’s defences. Here in the senate, the fate of the Galaxy would be decided. Palpatine continued to strike against Daniel, emotion, passion, hate, fear streamed form his existence, until he stopped, his blade shut down and Daniel struck, cleaving Palpatines head from his shoulders, the cauterised would revealed little in the way of blood. Daniel had prevailed.

Sixty-Six and his army poured into the senate hall just in time to see Daniel cleave the head from a defenceless Chancellor, just in time to see him prevail. “Mr Speaker sir, the chancellor has been killed by Daniel Masaki. I need orders Sir.”

The synthesised voice came through the helmet with little refinement. “Capture him alive.”

“Yes Sir.” Lifting his hands to direct his force the clones began to surround Daniel Masaki. “Set weapons to stun men.” The blasters received a light flick as they were adjusted, in the realm of the force inhibitor Daniel received multitudes of stun blasts.

System Edge

Admiral Blathe stood on his command deck watching the holo-grid display the positions of the enemy fleet, the red blips symbolising rebel warships were now spread out for energy engagement while the larger capital ships moved away from their fleet in an attempt to bombard the Imperial forces when they arrived. Ordering his fleet into jump, The Imperial warships would arrive in point blank range next to the enemy, little more than two kilometres from their hulls. It would be a symbiotic attack, the fighters would swoop in from the Golans, along with a substantial torpedo and missile barrage, while the Turbolasers from the Imperial force would erupt immediately upon regression from hyperspace.

"Huh, looks like I killed him...or perhaps a puppet, it was all to easy, probably an obvious trap." I smirked as the clonies appear. "I hate it when I'm right."

Bouncing away from the stun blasts, I laughed as they tried to stop me with the inhibitors. "When will you guys learn that inhibitors are not going to stop the likes of me?"

I formed several hand-seals, building up energy for a ninjutsu spell. "There's only a few ways to stop chakra, and all require a specialized bloodline technique, which means that you're screwed! By the way, my "friend" here isn't dead, though he looks dead." That would set them off on another wild bantha chase!

When I checked with the Force, I knew it wasn't him when I nodded, but a clonetrooper, as the body *poofed* into the white clad body missing a head. It appears he made a body-switch and transformation combination (Kawarmi Henge no Jutsu) when the Kyuubi was released from his prison within the seal after being shot, enabling him to escape the death blow. The only question is, where is he now?

Lashing out with chakra-made lightning at Clonecommander 66, I concentrated on the image of my brothers. Whereever they are, I would be as well. I made three more hand-seals, but I was a second too slow and got caught by a stun blast, then another one. "Damn, this is just like--"

I fell into blackness, unable to know what would happen next. With me and my brothers captured, Naruto's whereabouts unknown (but unable to prevent all this. What can one ninja, even one with a nine-tailed demon fox -considered a force of nature by the superstitious- as a familiar do? For all his powers and Houdini-like ability to escape death, he's helpless, on a city-planet with thousands of enemy troops), and my elders awaiting a flight out of here, Coreworlds appears to be doomed...

The far wall of the senate hall exploded with a roar and fragments of the stone flew into the breech. Even before the smoke and debris cleared hypersonic darts flew through able to penetrate the strongest personal armor they were aimed with precision from a squad of Confed marines using thermal imaging. Two marines manned a pair of tri-barrels each through a half a thousand hypersonic darts a second they were quite lethal. A hail of death was headed at the clone troopers who for a few seconds were caught unprepared and that would cost them.

Dropping from the assault ship was Hawkins fully outfitted in power armor along with four other marines, they bounded forward quickly using cover offered by the fallen debris and pelted the clone troopers with accurate precision busts from their heavy pulser rifles and plasma or flechette guns.

Hawkins identified their leader who stood over the prone form of Daniel Masaki, he fired at the cloner with a burst from his rifle and bounded forward. Time was of the essence they needed to get to Daniel and take him back from his captures, they lost too much on this mission already damnit.

Wake up Daniel Hawkins thought to himself knowing he could not hear him being cut off from the force. He could still be spirited away if Hawkins didn’t get to him in time.

The enemy fleet that reappeared in front of the Alliance fleet would have been greeted with a horrendous barrage at knife close distance. Admiral Kofri expected such an attack and as a result the possibility of such a close proximity engagement was programmed into the ship’s targeting computers.

Thousands of missiles were launched, their warheads could not activate in the time before impact being less then half a second at this distance but they would make to be awesome kinetic weapons moving at more then 45 thousand kps/sec they were essentially powerful rail guns.

These missiles were launched from the Confed SD’s each an imposing 4 km in length, some of the battlewagons were able to fire with there broadside grasers sporting 40 of the deadly weapons angry lances of gamma radiation were sent at the Imperial ISD, incredibly concentrated and immensely powerful upon impact these beams acted kinetically shattering the strongest armor and imploding the innards of the strongest ships. Some of the SD’s could only sound off with their chaser armament, while less numerous these weapons were much more potent consisting of 4 830cm grasers an eight meter wide beam of death was sent toward their opponents, the forty five SDs of the fleet accomplished this in the first second of the Imperials entering into the fray.

The heavy Moncal units consisting of over a hundred of their strongest cruisers and battleships replied also, sending tens of thousands of heavy turbo laser blasts and ion cannons discharges at their hated enemy. From the frigates and dreadnaughts and other smaller vessels similar weapons replied, along with scores of proton torpedoes and concussion missiles. Confed LACs were able to change their heading almost instantly if not their acceleration they sent there own Battle cruiser strength graser into the enemy, each about the strength of a heavy turbo laser also launched hundreds of nuclear tipped missiles at the enemy, the thousands of fighters the accompanied the rebel fleet shot at the enemy with their lasers and ion cannons pelting the enemy with squadron sized waves of torpedoes and missiles.

The burst of energy from the incapacitated Jedi flew through the air smashing into Sixty-Six’s armour heating its Neutronium composite to danger levels. The white body armour however quickly discharged the current towards the ground. In his internal visor Sixty-Six studied the damage screen, apparently his left thigh no longer existed. Thankful for the suits Neural blocks Sixty Six rose on his jet pack. “Pick him up and lets get out of here.”

“Sir incoming bogey towards the Senate dome, class two Gunship, recommend you evacuate.”

“Have all available units take it out!”

“Missiles locking on now Sir!”

Sixty-Six gave one nod towards the Dome roof indicating the approaching attack. “Lets go,” he demanded pointing towards the far door. The dome was now filled with a few hundred troopers, each one pointing their weapon towards the roof. Daniel Masaki was in the centre of the crowd, being passed through towards the exit.
Eventually the breech came and it was answered by a hail of blaster, grenade and heavy rocket fire.

The battle was slowly moving towards Sixty-Six, who, with several others had Daniel Masaki captured, bearing him through the exit Sixty Six sealed the chamber, heavy Durasteel doors closing shut. Just before he was hidden from view Sixty-Six chanced a little wave towards Hawkins.

Targeting Control

As the battle ensued in the Senate Dome the army outside decided to deal with the hovering gunship. “Target Lock Established…Authorising Fire Control…Missiles Launched.”

“Squadrons five through eighteen are en-route, they will be in weapons range momentarily.”

The missiles streaked up from their launchers, moving through the atmosphere they left a purple trail from their launchers; a spectacle that only a child in its innocence could enjoy. The weapons flanked by encroaching fighters made straight for the Gunship.

Hawkins armor was now pitted in several areas by hits from blaster bolts none penetrated though. He swore as he noticed the mass of enemies hurry Daniel into the innards of the building. There was that damned leader of there’s, though Hawkins noted with amusement he was missing a leg. The cocksure bastard was waving at him, Hawkins took careful and fired a burst from his rife at the commanders hand and caught a glimpse of their impact with it before the door shut.

"General missiles inbound! Enemy Fighters are being vectored to our location." The Marine pilot stated calmly.

"Sound Recall. Initiate Plan Bravo Three Swing." with a low beep the recall units on the marines power armor activated pulling them with great speed back to the hovering assault shuttle. It would pull them through furniture or walls alike, it was a fast extraction, within two seconds all the marines were back in the Shuttle if a little battered and shaken. A couple were wounded from rocket impacts.

The shuttle descended rapidly into the massive city that was the Imperial center, point defense laser cluster a miniature version of what were mounted onto warships and LAC began to fire at once at the incoming missiles detonating scores of them, several would also impact upon the ships small impellor wedge.

Now in the lower slums of the capital Hawkins hoped to lose their pursuit.

"I suppose about four." Alex replied with a mixture of anger and amusement as he turned aside missiles with the Force. "Four times Daniel has been taken by the Empire."

"They must love him." Elendil smiled wanly as he clouded Imperial minds. "Why else would they want to capture him?"

Alex chuckled. "Indeed, but as long as he and his brothers live, no matter if Coreworlds itself goes up in flames from the Empire's wrath, there is always hope."

"True enough."

The clones moved on dragging Daniel through the deserted senate building until they finally reached a transport. Adding a Neural inhibitor to Daniels rather bruised skull, and heavy wounded ego the clones preceded directly towards the New Supreme Chancellor, Kar August.

Meanwhile…….

The TIE fighters continued to stalk the enemy gunship, their superior manoeuvrability insured that contact was rarely lost. Keeping their distance the interceptors merely followed the craft through the districts of Coruscant, losing it would be next to impossible thanks to the orbital grid tracking the enemy gunship at every turn. Further up traps were being lain, droid fighters, clinging to buildings in an attempt to surprise their prey.

"Besides, I'm prepared to die for my family, for my country, for the galaxy itself. I will never be the Empire's slave. Never again. Well, it's been a good fight, August, it's been a good fight." “Pity.” Kar August said mournfully, “It will be a shame to kill you, but if you desire a noble death, so be it.” Motioning to two guards Daniel was led away from the room. Kar August rose from his seat, his slim head almost touching the metallic roof, a grave expression forming on his face the Kamian sighed and finally dictated the death of Daniel Masaki. “For the record.” August began. “ I have found you guilty of treason, murder, and espionage, you will be executed by firing squad at twelve hundred hours Coruscant standard time, two hours from now. I suggest you make peace with whatever gods you pray to, there is no one to help you now.” August turned his back as Daniel was dragged from the room.

The time would pass bye slowly, storm troopers patrolled the cell, droids were stationed at every corner, and energy fields were engaged to prevent the movement of intruders. As a small act of generosity August had allowed Daniel a last meal, Bantha Burger, fires, coke and a recently manufactured cheesecake, a small show of pity from the Galaxies current ruler. As Daniel finished the last of his food a group of troopers entered the cell. “Daniel Masaki, come with us.” The voices were harsh, almost as cold as the stone walls surrounding the aristocrat, taken from his cell Daniel was led further up into the complex, towards the courtyard outside.

Fighters patrolled the skies, missile turrets lined the walls and clones were everywhere, to rescue the imprisoned prince would require an army, the clones had now become all to aware of the Jedi’s tricks.

Marched into the courtyard Daniel was forced to line up against the back wall, holo cameras recording his every move. From the other side several troopers took aim, their blasters targeting separate places of the Jedis body to insure an almost instantaneous death. Without warning, the blue energy bolts discharged.

High above in his tower Kar August watched the execution, the live feed from the holo cameras was most satisfying, as Daniel fell to the ground August felt a wave of satisfaction flow over him.

"Quite a big army for little ol' me." I smirked. I tried to concentrate one last time, not to escape, but to be one with the Force. The inhibitor buzzed and buzzed in anger, drilling agony into my brain, but I was beyond pain, and that was why I was able to electrically overload it, even as blood dribbled down my forehead when the spikes tried to drill in, but failed.

Marched into the courtyard Daniel was forced to line up against the back wall, holo cameras recording his every move. From the other side several troopers took aim, their blasters targeting separate places of the Jedis body to insure an almost instantaneous death. Without warning, the blue energy bolts discharged.

Even as they did so, time seemed to slow down as I managed called on the Force one last time. Again, I wasn't here to escape, but to exact Justice for the murders of millions the Empire have committed. To their astonishment, I blocked the blaster bolts with the Force and pushed them away so I could cast my ultimate spell upon Kar August and his many cronies...Nova Bolt.

"..." Alex Masaki saw the holofeed (sent all over the galaxy, so that "I would be the example to traitors") on the small screen in the gunship, then he smiled as he sensed a great buildup in Force energy, a buildup normally reserved for becoming one with the Force, but this was special. "I'll see you in the next world...Daniel Masaki."

-----

A harsh wind suddenly sprang up around me, a wind of energy as I built up energy beyond my body's ability to handle it. I looked up at the holocameras, as electricity curled around my hands, around my body. "I warned you, Kar August. You have sown the wind. Now you shall reap the whirlwind!"

Yoda would say that I've become a luminous being as I focused all my energy into the largest ball of electricity ever seen in the galaxy, about the size of a speeder. More blaster bolts rippled out to stop me, but I threw the ball of electricity high in the air...then I disappeared when the blaster bolts finally caught me, destroying my body, but certainly useless against my spirit.

The ball of electricity rose into the air. Thunder rumbled as clouds swirled overhead and lightning struck the ball. Lightning gathered in the ball, in classic Death Star or Independence Day fashion, then at the right point, it literally smashed down upon the courtyard and expanded...expanded...exploded.

The nuclear-level explosion could be seen from space.

The electrical oversurge would short out every Force inhibitor on Coruscant, rendering them useless. It would consume Kar August, as I promised, and his many clonetroopers. It will EMP just about every shield generator on the planet, and it would short out the statis field entraping my brothers. It may even overload electrical generators, but those aren't my targets. In the end, it was an explosion of light and energy of the likes which never will be seen again. The huge mushroom cloud rose triumphant over the Imperial Palace.

"I give my life for my family and my friends. I give my life for my people. I give my life for the galaxy...and the Force. I, Daniel Alexander Masaki can do no less to end the evil that is the Galactic Empire." My last words were sent everywhere, to every person in the galaxy and beyond. No one can claim they didn't hear it. Indeed, even in death, I remain victorious...

Kar August smiled as the blaster bolts fired from the clones rifles. Turning away from the viewscreen he didn’t wait for Daniel’s body to fall, he just assumed, like all leaders of the Empire before him, that it all went to plan, and the hero was dead. Walking towards the office exit August was stopped by a great thunder. Odd he mumbled, the atmospheric filters should stop electrical build ups in the troposphere. Thinking nothing of it, August opened the regal doors; designed in the delicate, noble technique of the Tenasi. Admiring the artwork the doors parted to revel a tunnel of flame quickly engulfing the building. Stood, shocked and dumbfounded, August regretfully accepted his fate……

Sixty-Six was rocked from the medical bay and slammed into a nearby wall. A great burst of air had caused the reinforced windows to implode, sending glass and material everywhere, some of it even killing the few un-armoured patients. What the hell is going on? he thought to himself. Standing up, the recently installed framework leg was still adjusting to his biochemistry and nervous system, it would be some time before he was fully operational. Falling back onto bed, he decided it was someone else’s responsibility.

Half the Imperial Palace lay in flames, thousands were dead, and the government destroyed. The only person with any kind of authority was currently on the Death Star, in the Tenetian system. All over the Galaxy a recall order was issued, demanding all available warships to return to Coruscant. The clones were following procedure and as a result legions poured onto the streets of Coruscant. Marshal law was subsequently declared and no one was allowed to leave their homes.

The great pulse wave, was not powerful enough to destroy all electronic equipment, in fact it done relatively little damage to Coruscants infrastructure, however what it did do was disable the command centre switching off the planetary shield. Sector by sector fell, leaving Coruscant open to orbital attacks.

Two Hours Later: Death Star.

The damage has been severe to the command infrastructure Admiral, the senate have been wiped out as well as Kar August, we are currently finishing the download of Chancellor Palpatine, we estimate him to assume command in eight hours, but the pulse almost destroyed the process.

Blathe stood on the Death Star’s command deck dumbfounded at what happened. “Civilian casualties?” He asked obviously concerned.

“We estimate it in the range of twelve million Admiral. Relief work has already begun.”

“Insure that humans take priority.” Blathe enforced. “And what about the shield network, is it operational?”

“We lost the energy grid for eighteen minutes before it was reset. The shield grid is fully operational.”

“Good” he said relieved. “Contact me as soon as anything arises, until then Sixty-Six, you are in command of Coruscant. Insure civil order is maintained at all costs, that is your main directive.”

“Yes Sir.”

The transmission screen flickered out, and Blathe stood, his face twisted with anger. “Send a communication to all ships in the fleet to implement Tenetian Directive Seventy Five.”

“Are you sure Admiral?”

Blathe pulled out his blaster and shot the contradictory officer in the head. “My orders are final, I hope that is understood.”

All in the bridge nodded accepting the current chain of command.

Coredian Primary Worlds

Each planet in the system suffered under the ominous shadow of the Golan platforms. Since Admiral Blathe has assumed temporary command droid recalls had been issued and the great metal armies were hurried back into orbit, leaving the cities and worlds to care for themselves. On board the stations the small crew of clones began to charge the ion cannons. Shutting down all secondary systems they prepared to throw Coreworlds back into the stone age.

Blathe sat comfortable on the Death Star bridge, watching the small blips report in one by one, they were now ready.

OOC: Actually, it was not so much fire as electricity that fried Kar August into a crisp. Of course, the lightning would start fires, but that's a secondary effect, not a primary effect. If Taylor was the instigator, his would be a true nuclear explosion in all but radiation.

Military Command Center, Coruscant
The shutdown in electrical equipment has also affected the statis fields holding Taylor and Jacob Masaki. Soon, they would be released...

A clonetrooper walked the halls of the command center, heading to his duties of guarding the twins. He greeted another clone at the door and began to stand by it.

Taylor woke up from the couple hours of sleep first. Hibernation sickness set in and he realized he was, like carbonated or something. "Crap."

He reached out with the Force, sensing his surroundings as he couldn't see. He 'felt' they were in a compound of some kind. He stumbled as he got out of the hibernation chamber, sensing his brother awakening as well. He felt pain from his arm, and proceeded to heal it. His brother soon came out and stumbled a little more, healing his leg. Soon, they were healthy except for the eyes, which would heal naturally in a half-hour (faster healing time, duh).

"Dan...where's Daniel?" Jacob sensed around, stretching out further. He reached out, sensing fear and apprehension, and his still-blind eyes grew wide as he used someone else's eyes to see what happened. A mushroom cloud rose into the sky from the location of the Imperial Palace. He reached out towards the cloud, then felt a hell of a lot of ionized air. His alchemist brain realized that a great lightning strike has occured...and only a few times has he felt electricity in the air this high. "Oh no..."

"What, Jacob? Did something happen to Daniel?"

"I don't know, but there's signs that a Nova Bolt has been used...a really powerful one..."

Taylor drew a conclusion. "He nuked them. He actually nuked the sithspawn..."

"Wow." Jacob said. "But what about Dan?"

Taylor didn't like it. "Ground zero's very tough to survive, even for a Jedi like him..."

"What? Don't tell me...but he's..."

"C'mon, we gotta get out of here." Taylor said pragmatically. Then he blinked, once, twice, again. Instead of blackness, there were blurs now. His eyesight was slowly returning. Using the Force, he 'saw' that the room held a doorway to the outside, but he also saw clonetroopers everywhere. Though his arm was still sore, he managed to form handseals.

Jacob was saddened by his brother's loss, then his last words also reached the twins.

"I give my life for my family and my friends. I give my life for my people. I give my life for the galaxy...and the Force. I, Daniel Alexander Masaki can do no less to end the evil that is the Galactic Empire."

The words spurred the two. They would mourn him later. Jacob began to concentrate energy on his right index finger...

----

"Hmm?" The clonetrooper that was not the one that just walked to his duty noticed something odd about the door. Like it was being...melted? The other clonetrooper seemed to smile inwardly. Then he raised his blaster rifle at his 'comrade'. The rifle whined as it charged, startling the trooper to action, as he tried to alert his brothers and raise his own rifle at the same time. At the instant the other 'trooper' discharged the blaster, blowing away the first trooper's face, the door exploded outward. Alarms started to blare.

Taylor and Jacob were then confronted with a clonetrooper who raised his rifle...

-----

The clonetrooper raised his rifle...not to shoot, but to put it around his shoulder as he *poofed* in a white cloud of smoke. The smoke cleared, revealing a yellow haired young man in an orange-ish jumpsuit who managed to survive the headshot earlier by combining a transformation and body-switch technique.

"Hey guys!" He said.

"Naruto! How did you escape?" Taylor gasped. Last thing he saw before going out was Naruto being blasted by trooper fire.

"I'll tell you later, but I can say it was a very close thing." He grinned. "Now let's get out of here."

"Uh...we're kinda blind. Hibernation sickness." Jacob pointed out.

"Oh." Naruto then heard shouting voice and running feet. "Not a problem! Think about your grandpa! I think he's still around." He grabbed the twins by the shoulder, and as they formed an image of their grandfather, blaster bolts started ringing out. The bolts completely missed as they disappeared from sight...

...to land on Grandfather's Wick-made gunship, now trying to seek out Hawkins' position.

"You're a sight for sore eyes!" Grandfather embraced the boys.

"Is it true...Grandfather?" Jacob asked, not wanting to believe it.

"I'm afraid it is. He really gave his life for us all." Grandpa said sadly. "Now let's seek out Knight Hawkins and get out of here. And no Taylor, you're not allowed to punch him again."

"Aww!" Taylor pouted.

"So he's not an exile anymore?" Jacob asked.

"In light of recent events, no." Master Elendil shook his head. "It's the least we can do for him."

"All right." Jacob nodded, sending out Force feelers to search for the Knight...

"Hang on..." Jacob cried out. "He's on the shuttle after all! Near the cockpit."

"Really? I didn't sense him." Alex cocked an eyebrow and smiled. "Not a bad steathist. Reminds me of a Master I knew once..."

The Jedi Master headed towards the cockpit.

Receiver: Galactic Empire High Command.

"Gentlemen, it is good to see that once more, strength prevails over the trifling ideals of the Coredians...We cannot fail to notice that a certain Masaki has gone beyond life, and while we do not mourn, we can only rejoice in that he shall feed the carrion beings of the Warp. I wish to extend my humblest gratitudes at returning to the old ways, and would actively seek peace; that we might, as an Empire; unify once more.

The bitter and close quarter fleet battle still raged in space, it was a vicious and bloody affair with each side battering the other with all the force they could bring to bear. In the confusion caused by the massive nova bolt Hawkins’ assault shuttle made its way out of the atmosphere of the planet and made its way towards the battle and strangely enough the safety if promised.

"Master Elendil and I have conferred together, and in light of recent events, we have decided to reinstate you as a member of the Jedi Order." Alex replied. The decision wasn't made lightly, of course, but it was made. "Should you take it, of course."

"I know, but we do need all the Jedi we can get, even if some of their practices are frowned upon." Alex said. "By the way, when you make the jump, I would like you to jump to Jurai."

He gave a coordinate to Hawkins. "It is currently in what's known as the Unknown Regions, although it doesn't seem to be so unknown now. Anyway, that's where all the surviving Jedi have gone to."

They jumped three times. Once to see if anyone was trailing. Second to shake off any remaining persistent trailers, and finally the third time was to the so-called Unknown Regions, where Jurai lies.

Hours later...

Jurai is a beautiful planet and already, millions have begun to settle from not only Coreworlds, but Godular as well. The three behemoths SSD Imperium, CSB Duel of the Fates and renamed SSD Light Side of the Force (not to be confused with the SSD Light Side that was destroyed years ago) have literally become orbitial space stations to protect the growing colony, surrounded by a huge cloud of just about every ship that managed to escape from Coreworlds.

The Imperial Republic Navy still has over 750 craft in all (not counting corvettes and gunships), out of 1250 in the entire fleet (that means 400 were destroyed over the course of the war). Star Destroyers, Star Cruisers, Konoha Cruisers and Battleships, Dragon Battlecruisers, Strike Cruisers, Lancer Antistarfighter Cruisers, Neb-B2 Frigates, and more. It would take time and resources, resources not yet available despite a new shipyard being built at the fifth planet, -a gas giant twice as large as Sol's Jupiter named Pythagoras- to rebuild the fleet to its former glory, but for now, the fleet should suffice to protect the colony and the remaining Jedi Order from destruction, especially with the help of Godular.

The shuttle passed through the armada onwards towards Jurai itself.

"Master Blayden, it is good to see you once again." Master Elendil called over the comlink to the new governor of Jurai and Master of the newly built Auxiliary Academy.

"Yes indeed." The other Jedi Master smiled. "You are reconvening the Jedi Council?"

"Yes, I shall recall Master Rydo as soon as possible from a campaign at Earth." Elendil said. "It is indeed a fortunate sight to see the Order still alive."

"I know. If it wasn't for our reluctance to reenter the Temple again..."

"We would have lost more." Elendil finished.

"What about the shinobi? Did they make it out?" Naruto asked, worried about his friends.

"Yes, Tsunade's working with me as well to reoganize the shinobi, but we did have to leave a few. None of your friends in the Leaf, though. Sand and Stone, mostly."

"Oh. That's good."

There are several Great Countries that made up the Konoha planet: Fire, Wind, Water, Sound, Lightning, Earth. Sound (Oto) are rivals to Fire (Ho) and Wind (Kaze), while the other three are neutral for the most part, though Lightning (Rai) has made peace treaties with Fire. There are others, but those are usually non-issues. The people of Konoha that escaped decided to settle on an empty continent and reform their status quo.

The Shadow Continent (http://www.leafninja.com/country.php)

In the meantime, the shuttle landed safely and the Jedi Masters, the three young downcast brothers and best friend of Daniel and everyone else left the shuttle to begin a new life on a new planet.

Thus ends another chapter in the downfall of the Coreworlds Imperial Republic...

By act of plot, Jurai has been deemed off-limits to destruction until further notice.

The Cordians were not alone in the Jurai system, their longtime ally the Farstars Confederacy would aide them in rebuilding their shattered empire. The Confederacy had been a staunch supporters of the now dead Republic, disillusioned by their naivety and upset at their manipulation by Chancellor Vedills's hands. Now their fleet like the Cordians had been bloodied in battle, yet they escaped the devastation of their home systems unlike the Cordians who paid a terrible price.

Rear Admiral of the Red Frank Hamilton looked at the holo-tank display the thousands of IFF signatures in the Juria system represent ships as small as a Tug to the massive 4 km long SD's of his Task force and the Star Destroyers of the Cordians. Being protected by the Cordian Fleet it was decided to detach only a Heavy Flotilla to Hamilton's command, a respectable unit but less then thirty ships when totaled. He had at his beck and call a Lance of Battle carriers with a squadron of "gunslingers" divided into a lance of Dreadnaughts and a lance of the sleek battle cruisers.

What made his Flotilla important was the sixty Logistical craft ranging from depot ships, to massive repair dry docks that hurried to repair and refit the hundred of still damaged naval units of the Cordian fleet. Dozens of ships were in orbit around the gas giant constructing orbital platforms to support the shipyards being built there as well as something else special...
