The Tetchuanian government has finally opened the vote for the issue on Genetic Research. Originally banned by the government, violence and opression convinced Kremlin Castro to open a special one-time only vote to the people of Tetchuan. They may vote, yay or nay for Genetic Research to be legalized.

OOC: I am opening this to Allies only since it is the closest we have to actual citizens. So anyone who has good diplomatic relations with Tetchuan, please vote.

Although we aren't an ally of Tetchuan, we would like to join the discussion. Forgive us for the intrusion, we don't have the intention of prying on your internal affairs.

Our scientific research has concluded that homosexuals, transgenders, lesbians, sexaddicts, pornaddicts, paedophiles , drugaddicts, feetlovers, etc. have faulty D.N.A. Genetic resequencing is essential to correct the error. It provides the opportunity to make sure for the growth of our people. We certainly support the people of Tetchuan on the matter of legalizing Genetic Research.

While no diplomatic relations have yet been established with Tetchuan, the Empire hopes this will soon change for the better.

It is our belief that any form of genetic research will bring about benefits that far outweigh any problems that may arise. The decision to ban or allow genetic research and cloning was made long ago in Nova Roma and the results so far have been nothing short of great.

Nova Roma is free of any genetic disorders, our plants are resistant to drought, pests, and disease and produce ten times their natural yield while sparing the environment from gallons of pesticide. Bacteria hasn't a chance in a Roman because each citizen recieves their own genetically unique medicine that is easily modified to counter even the most stubborn of bacteria. The population of our national animal, the aqvila, has increased exponentially after modifications were made on their genome to increase their hardiness and resistantance to pollution.

As you can easily tell, genetic research has proven to be, for Nova Roma at least, well worth its cost in funds and "morality".

Greetings Nova. We greatly appreciate your feedback and this has changed my mind on how I feel on genetic research. While it is still up to our citizens, the polls are a landslide for Yay, so far.

The polls are in, and the results have been tallyed. In a complete landslide victory, 100% of those who voted, voted Yes to allow Genetic Research in Tetchuan. This legalization goes into affect immediately. Researches have already asked the government for $1.2 billion (USD) to begin building facilities and restricted areas. The government is expected to accept.
