The Emir sent out a press release:
"Our hands are tied with regards to the economy. The Joint is pegged to gold, the debt ceiling is fixed by decree at 50% of GDP, and we are still 6% over that after this year's selling of government assets. Therefore, by decree, the bureacracy is to be streamlined to reduce the cost of doing business, in hopes that the economy will return to the boom-times. The paperwork to be filled out by every business is to be reduced by 75% of current levels, or I will ake a decree directing the Legislature to do as such."
