President Mann had been waiting for this moment all his career. Over the past year, the Imperial Congress had made major blunders that had caused major unrest in the population. Now when the voters went to the polls for voting in the Imperial Congress they put far-right-wing (not Fascist) National Conservative Party members in control of the Congress and outed the moderate National Conservative Party members. The parties main goal was to destroy the Imperial Republic and instate a Federal Republic. Now President Mann was getting ready to address a crowd that had been waiting for this moment for over a century. President Mann began his speech:
"Fellow Space Unionist, your president today is giving you what you have always wanted." The crowd cheered knowing that it was coming. "Today will mark a new day as we enter a new age without our current burdens. With your help, the Radical National Conservative Party has won the majority of seats needed to change the government structure!" The crowded roared, "Down with Imperialism!". President Mann, "We are no longer going to suffer widespread corruption in the government, unnessessary spending, allowing communism to stay in this nation's territories, and limiting the rights of Space Union citizens!" The people chanted even louder, "Down with Imperialism!" President Mann: "Today, we are no longer the Imperial Republic of Space Union, but the Federal Republic of Space Union!" With these words, the crowd chanted "UP WITH DEMOCRACY AND LET IMPERIALISM FALL!"
After finishing his speech President Mann implied his goals for the Federal Republic: "We will start passing laws that give more rights to citizens, we will have a true democracy and capitalism will flourish, and the communist will be expelled along with the Communist Party being banned!" These statements met with a huge applause from the crowd.
When President Mann was finally done he unvailed the new flag of the Federal Republic of Space Union:
