Emperor Robinson Antares Scorpius...
He is one of the youngest people to reign as emperor of the Grand Imperium of Risban, at the age of 26. He is also arguably the greatest leader in the Risban Empire's history.
Young and handsome, the Emperor is a master manipulator of the media and a superb orator. The son of Count Eric Scorpius and Countess Sophia Antares, Scorpius was born into a wealthy, aristocratic family of great lineage. When his parents were assasinated, he assumed the title 'Count' and all the powers that came with it, as well as membership in the Imperial Parliament; all this merely at the age of seventeen.
Rob Scorpius entered the Imperial Naval Academy at the age of 18 and graduated at the age of 21. He is often classified as an ingenius prodegy, excelling in nearly everything he does. At the age of 23, he was appointed as an assistant to Grand Admiral Eric Tarda in the regime of Emperor Jordan Ilia Graffias. He was titled Grand Admiral Count Robinson A. Scorpius.
At the age of 24, he led a coup d'etat against the despotic regime of Graffias. Most succesful, with the populace, the military, and the parliament backing him, Scorpius was named emperor.
Since his ascension to the Imperial throne of the Grand Imperium, Scorpius has drawn Risban into a golden age. The economy is the best it has ever been, trade is excellent, and Risban has many friends and allies. Scorpius has also expanded civil rights and given the populace some representation in the Imperial Senate. He does, however, maintain a firm hand on the empire, with the entire army at his disposal.
As stated previously, he is considered one of the greatest leaders in the empire's history. However, there is one slight problem that the media constantly points out: without a bride, Scorpius would not be able to produce an heir. If he were to die without a successor, the Grand Imperium of Risban would plunge into a bloody civil war.
That was all about to change, though.
Countess Nora Courtney....
Beautiful. Intelligent. Bold. Compassionate. These are the words that often describe Countess Nora Courtney, the first female to ever reign as Chancellor of the Imperial Parliament, and only 24 years old.
She is indeed beautiful, and is often on the top of RisFashion Magazine's best-looking people in Risban list.The daughter of an arisocratic count and a civil rights activist, as well as the descendant of the only female to ever hold complete control of the Empire, Countess Courtney grew up in a good environment.
However, she was prone to a dark environment as well. Her mother, a devout fighter of civil rights, was murdered by agents of Risban's Black Hand, a secret police group that enforced all Emperor Jordan Ilia Graffias wished to be done. Apparently the former emperor had grown annoyed with Nora's mother.
Instead of detering Nora, this merely motivated her more.
At the age of fifteen, Countess Courtney was voted in as a senator in the Imperial Senate. At age twenty, she was appointed as a member of the Imperial Parliament, proceeding the retirement of her father.
This is where she first met the up and rising admiral, Count Robinson A. Scorpius. She supported Scorpius in the revolution, and has since served as one of his top advisors and closest friends. It was the emperor who suggested that she run for Chancellor of the Parliament. Widely beating her opponents, Countess Nora Courtney became the most powerful woman in the Grand Imperium of Risban, constantly fighting to expand the civil rights of the people.
Now, the merger of the most powerful male and the more powerful female in Risban would give that couple vast authority over nearly everything in the empire. Most couples created would most likely transform the government into an evil, despotic dictatorship. But, that was the beauty of the Countess and the Emperor...
The Emperor was a cunning politican and master strategist, as well as a great manipulator. He almost got whatever he wanted. The Countess, on the other hand, was one of the few honest politicians in Parliament, and a strong advocater of the rights of the people.
Together, the balanced eachother out.

"Goodafternoon everyone! We have just received suprising and fantastic news. Half an hour ago, Emperor Robinson A. Scorpius and Lady Chancellor Countress Nora Courtney were married! It was a small and secret marriage, with only close friends and family attending. However, the reception is going to be one of the largest parties in Imperial history, and the first time the Grand Imperium of Risban will host a large variety of national delegates at once!
The Ministy of Foreign Affairs and the Office of the Emperor sent out invitations to nearly every nation in the world, inviting leaders, delegates, friends, and the like to join in on the festivities taking place in Imperial Palace, Risban City. National leaders and delegates will all be invited to the Grand Feast, and everyone is able to join in the dances, games, and much more taking place on the grounds of the palace.
With the Muruian Attacks and the terrorist attacks that plagued Risban at the beginning of the year, security will be at its highest. National leaders are allowed to bring two bodyguards. People attending can bring up to two other guests. If you request more in your RSVP, it will be granted! (Unless it's an outrageous number, like your entire population).
So, send in those RSVPs and come join in!"
