OOC: Here is another look at Automagfreek's military. It is common knowledge that I do not RP using exact on the dot numbers, however I can provide that if requested and or needed. I will update this every so often and add in more in depth descriptions and more items as I come up with them. Perhaps if I have enough time I will come up with exactly how many of each I have of everything, but like I said I don't like to RP like that.

Enjoy.

EDIT: Yes, I know the Sentinel pics are from Killzone. They are almost exactly how I orignally pictured them in my head, so these pics more than do them justice.

Evolution of the Sentinel (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=337474)

For decades the Sentinel has been the mainstay of the Automagfreek military, as is known around the world as one of the fiercest infantry units to ever walk the Earth. Known for their brutal tactics and unsatiable lust for bloodshed, the Sentinels continue their legacy each and every time they engage an enemy force. Although not genetically modified, the Sentinels are free of genetically inherited impurities (these were screened out when they were first engineered, a feat that is feasible by today's standards). A common misconception is that the Sentinels are 'super soldiers', but this is untrue. The Sentinels are rasied from birth to do a specific job along with several other jobs of lesser importance, so they are ale to fill multiple roles if needed. Cooperation, teamwork, communication, and decision making are drummed into their heads on a daily basis, along with strict emphasis on not disobeying orders.

The Sentinels were based off of Damien, although they do not share the same attributes. The Sentinels are shorter, weigh less, and because of that they are more mobile. Sentinels have been known to stand guard posts for days without moving.

A political powder keg/AMF on the brink? (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=297947)

Little is known about the Sentinel Stalkers, mostly because there are so few of them. These are the only genetically modified soldiers in Automagfreek's arsenal, but even then the modifications are not all that spectacular. Muscles, vision, hearing, reaction time, and stamina are all enhanced slightly, giving them an edge over the standard Sentinel unit.

Stalkers specialize in covert operations, most famously against the forces of Rayne during both of her coups.

Name: Death Dealer
Type: Heavy Infantry

Links: Domination (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=393450)

The Death Dealers are mysterious creatures that reside in the Tomb of the Mutilated, somewhere deep inside the Halls of the Dead. They are summoned forth and lead by The One Who Shall Remain Unnamed, and function as the heavy gunners in AMF's infantry and armor units. As with the Stalkers, their numbers are few, but they make up for it with their ability to take several devastating hits before thier body is destroyed, and their soul must then return to the Tomb.

As seen in the second AMF Civil War, the Death Dealers can turn the tide of a battle with their superior firepower and brutal tactics. Besides packing .50 cal machine guns and other large weapons, the Death Dealers also specialize in melee weapons and other close range combat.

Name: K-64 'Hellhound'
Type: Bomb and drug detection; general purpose attack dog

http://img412.imageshack.us/img412/8343/180pxtasmaniantigerja7.gif

Length: 5 feet
Height: 3 feet
Weight: 100 to 120 pounds
Maximum speed: 30 mph

The K-64 'Hellhound' is a special breed of dog from southern Automagfreek. These dogs are trained for both police and military work, and are invaluable for search and rescue, as well as bomb and drug detection. 'Hellhounds' are favored by the AMF military for their intelligence and keen sense of sight and smell.

A well-trained and socialized Hellhound can provide the right owner with a great deal of exercise and loving companionship. They are usually quick to learn and have a strong desire to please their owners. They are intelligent, to the point that they shouldn't be left to their own devices, and are happiest when mentally stimulated. Despite this, they can also be strong-willed at times, and should be taught in a firm, consistent manner.

Hellhounds have an unusually large maw, and their powerful jaws can produce enough force to crush the bones of human or other large game. Once properly trained the Hellhound can be extremely brutal, and will attack swiftly and silently. The Hellhound is not usually a barker: he is a silent watcher who notices everything. In the event the dog feels threatened, he tends to go very still before attacking, and there is no warning growl. But when the Hellhound does bark, it is extremely loud and similar to that of a banshee, with several distinctive low and high tones.

Name: MK.66 'Hellfury' CIWS gun
Type: Anti-ship missile defense

The MK.66 'Hellfury' sports a setup of dual 6 barrel, 35mm cannons (gatling guns, whatever you choose to call it), and integrates with the radar systems on board the vessel the gun is located on. The core of the 'Hellfury' is a SmartCell AI processor, the same used by the AMF 'SmartFlak' system.

This AI engine can integrate/network with the defensive systems of any ship or fleet (such as AEGIS), and can actively feed and acknowledge data from other units. What this means is that the 'Hellfury' can communicate with other guns on the same ship, or guns on other ships entirely. The end result is the 'Hellfury' system can designate which guns lock on and engage specific targets, so that you do not have multiple guns targeting a single threat. If a single 'Hellfury' gun determines that it cannot eliminate a thread that has passed through all other external defenses, it will allocate another unit (or several) to assist in downing said target. The 'Hellfury' can also pull data from the weather conditions, and has the ability to adjust and lead its fire to compensate for wind speed, etc. The electro-pneumatic gun and mount drive can quickly reposition itself to allow its weapons to begin firing at another target.

A single 'Hellfury' can independently lock on and prioritize targets by threat characteristics, and track up to 50 targets at once. The 'Hellfury' can also pull this data from long range radar such as the AN/SPY-1F once integrated into the ship's/fleet's defensive grids.

Primary Function: Anti-ship missile defense
Range: Unknown, though 2,000+ meters have been reported
Gun Type: Gatling
Rate of Fire: 4,500 rounds per minute
Magazine Capacity: 2,000 rounds
Caliber: 35mm
Ammunition: Armor piercing discarding sabot, depleted uranium or tungsten sub-caliber penetrator.
Sensors: Internal search and track radar with 360 degree coverage, uplinks to ship and fleet sensors.
Intelligence Core: SmartCell AI Processor
Communications: Internal high frequency radio transmitters, can be integrated into the ship's communications systems.

The Mk. 202 'Demon Hunter' is a supercavitating, solid rocket propelled underwater missile. The weapon clears the tube at fifty knots, upon which its rocket fires, propelling the missile through the water at 360 kph. This speed is a result of supercavitation, where the 'torpedo' is actually gliding through a thin air bubble. As the 'torpedo' travels, the water around it is literally vaporized and forms many small bubbles of gas around the body of the projectile; exponentially reducing drag and allowing for extremely high speeds.

The MK. 202 can be outfitted with both conventional and (possibly, depends on size) nuclear warheads. A homing guidance system sits on board the weapon, though it can be fully customized to the liking of any military.

Name: MK. 202 'Demon Hunter' torpedo
Type: Anti-shipping underwater missile

Length: 26 ft
Diameter: Less than 2 feet
Weight: 5,953 lb
Maximum Speed: Estimated 400-450 mph
Speed when it exits from the tube: 50 kts (93 km/h)
Range: Unknown, roughly 5 to 50 miles

Air Units

Name: AM-25 'Stratosfighter'
Type: Air superiority fighter

Total Length: 62 ft
Wing Span: 44 ft
Horizontal Tail Span: 29ft
Tail Span: 18'
Total Height: 16.67ft

The AM-25 is primarily made from titanium, as well as composite, aluminum, and thermo-plastics and capable of sustained flight at incredible heights. The AM-25 has large area wings which allow it to perform well in high speeds, and they also double as a fuel tank. The fighter sports leading edge flaps that serve as a method of achieving high angles of attack of over 60 degrees when traveling at lower speeds. The fins of the aircraft are divided into two types: the horizontal (which control vertical movement) and the vertical (which control the horizontal movement). The horizontal fins (located at the rear of the aircraft) not only provide the plane with extra maneuverability etc... , but also act as a heat shield for the exhaust of the engines, so the thermal trace of the AM-25 is at a minimum. The vertical fins are angled in the similar fashion of the AM-25's body, to help reduce its radar signal. These also contain many internal antennas inside the body of the fin itself, as a way to conceal them and help maintain the stealth abilities of the aircraft.

The weapon bays are all internally concealed much like a stealth bomber. On the low bottom left and right sides of the aircraft underneath its wings, are the bays were Automagfreek produced Skewer, Hellrage, and Gladius missiles can be stored. The AM-25 can also be outfitted with external fuel tanks as well as several missiles for increased flight range. This unique aircraft is capable of landing on both paved runways and aircraft carriers, although to achieve the latter several modifications need to be made.

I find a lot of this rather....imbalanced, to say the least. You have no armored units, you rely of your infantry too heavily, and as Zatarack...a nuclear fission reactor on a ship? Not only that but only a single class? (Though I understand that you'll be updating this in the future)

I find that it would be hard for your forces, when involved in a ground war, to keep the pace against forces armed with quick mobile forces that could just hack and slash at your foot slogging infantry. Though I have no doubts to their fevor and belief in you and your cause.

This is the specific reason WHY I haven't tried to INVADE AMF. He's just too damn...tricky with words and technobabble that you gotta love'em!

Lol, seriously, I would have a chance, but it would quickly be taken away by his little "suprises" of death and destruction. Hell, I wouldn't think Nuclear Attacks would do any good. Somehow, someway, AMF has planned ahead and made sure that his units would remain constant to whats going on today.

*sighs*

But I sure wouldn't mind trying to get'em! You know, just for fun of course....but he's too busy anyways!

*double sigh*

Good unit specs, history, all that jazz. Keep up the good work AMF.

What's wrong with a nuke reactor on a ship? From what I've seen, they're rather common, even on submarines. Heck, the US fields plenty of them.

True. Why the hell woudn't you have a nuclear reactor onboard a ship that size?

I find a lot of this rather....imbalanced, to say the least. You have no armored units, you rely of your infantry too heavily

Bull, I rely on my armor and artillery nearly as much as I rely on my infantry. Apologies if I haven't made any custom armor, but just because I haven't created anything new doesn't mean I don't use armor.

This thread is for things that I have specially produced for my military only, NOT an entire glossary of what my military has.

Do you even know what super soldiers are? Soldiers genetically modified to have attributes much higher than any normal human. The Sentinels do not have such traits, but are indeed well schooled in the art of warfare.
