Scheduled Press Conference, Buckingham Royal Palace

"Ladies and Gentlemen of the media, I would like to take up a little bit of your time to show my personal condolences for those effected by the despicable acts of terrorism on our brethren in Wyattland yesterday. We have not yet held any formal communication with the Government of Wyattland to discuss the cause of the devastation, although word is beginning to get round that the explosions came from half a dozen or more high explosive bombs, planted on the airbase. In the collapse of the buildings, many people have become trapped, as well as over 900 fatalities at this point. I ask you that our thoughts and prayers be with the families of those killed by the immediate explosion, and for those who still remain helplessly trapped beneath the rubble.
In our immediate effort to aid the people of Wyattland we have dispatch the 141st Royal Guard, Special Operations Unit to secure the area, along with the several other nationalities of troops being sent. The Pablicostan Red Cross was authorised to begin dispatching aid to the area by me last night, and we ourselves are currently finishing the preparation of two, Government funded Aid runs. These planes main cargo is workers to help the immediate effort to find survivors amongst the rubble and to excavate them. Onboard there are also two field hospitals from The Casa Granda Barracks to relieve some of the strain on regular hospitals, which are believed to be absolutely full.
We have also begun tracing Aerospace records from our satellites, and using the Global Infra-red Identification Satellite to work out how and when the bombs were deployed. Hopefully, this will lead us to the killers in this brutal case. If any of those responsible for this atrocity are watching this broadcast, as I am doubtless you are, please, come forward. In exchange for coming forward your life will be spared, whereas if we are forced to hunt you down our troops will not hesitate to use lethal force on sight. This is the first and only request I will make to you, if you do not come out from hiding within 24 hours you will be shot on sight. You have been warned.
Once again, I would ask that your hearts and minds be with those who are suffering as a result of this needless violence.

In light of the continued attacks against Wyattland, We humbly propose that you enforce Martial Law in your nation, with a 24 hour curfew. In our opinion, this is one fo the more effective ways to protect the nation. From our expensive, it should be that only those working on the current sites be allowed outside. This means that if a potential terrorist wishes to carry out an attack, they will stick out like a sore thumb, and will be easily dealt with.

All Flights to Wyattland from Pablicosta have been grounded with immediate effect, giving exception to those ferryin aid to the effected nation.

Sources point indicate that it was a naval base that has been attacked. If you will recall, yesterday, an explosion rocked Moxham Air Force Base that has so far accounted for a death toll of more than a thousand. Standing by in the Press Room of the Executive Residence is our Ducal Residence correspondent Seril Kirkland. Seril, what can you tell us about the Monte Ozarkan government's reaction to these explosions?"

Seril Kirkland: "Thank you, Lily. The Archduke earlier today sent his most heartfelt condolences to the victims of the explosions. Unfortunately, he is not able to attend this press conference as he is out of the country on affairs of state.

"Now, inside sources indicate that this second explosion occurred at Benatar Naval Station. That is unconfirmed, and the fact that this explosion also happened at a military base makes it highly suspect. Here comes the Press Secretary André Crateinne right now."

"Good morning. As you are all aware, two military bases in the nation of Wyattland were attacked yesterday and today. Moxham Air Force Base was rocked by multiple explosions in various parts of the base early yesterday afternoon. Today, at around 7am, a car loaded with explosives blew up in front of the main headquarters building at Benatar Naval Station. The pattern of explosions at military bases suggests the work of terrorists, but investigations are still underway in Wyattland. We hope that these attacks have stopped. Monte Ozarka has pledged to grant as much humanitarian aid as we can to the victims of the attacks. We are also providing logistical support to the Wyattlandian government in its rescue, forensic, and defensive efforts. To speak more on that, I shall let Lieutenant General Randolph Brigham take the podium."

A team of specialists has been despatched from IH to aid you in recovering casualties from the collapsed buildings. The team, their equipment and a small guard unit are being flown to Wyattland onboard two Air Force C-5 Galaxy Transport aircraft and we request that they be allowed to work as freely as possible to aid you to their maximum potential.

As terror attacks at Moxham AFB and Benatar NS already have the nation reeling, we have confirmed reports from the FBI that a bomb has exploded in a shopping mall in West WyattLand. Sources tell us that the bomb has destroyed most of the eastern section of the mall, trapping hundreds more people. President Mason, this morning, declared a federal state of emergency, and has asked international neighbors to send any assistance possible. Mason also, at 8:00 AM, EST, has declared Martial Law, temporarily, with a 24 hour curfew. Only essential personnel, and those working at the sites are to be outside until further notice from Mason. Meanwhile, President Mason himself has been taken to an undisclosed location.

Black Prince Battle Group, 2 days from Wyattland

Vice-Admiral Tom Baker was on the bridge of his Isomer Class Carrier, looking out over the battle group. Immeadiately to his port side was the Nimitz Class Carrier IHSIndependent which was currently launching aircraft for to replace the BARCAP that was orbiting the group at the time.

The Admiral watched the sleek forms of four F-22S Sea Raptors lift from the deck and then turned back to the paper work he was reading. In a few minutes he would be conferring with the Marine Commander, Colonel Dan Anderson, onboard one of the WASP assualt ships that the Regiment occupied. The main topic would be the deployment of the troops once they reached the Wyattland coast, the primary concern being to put them ashore with their light armoured vehicles to maitain security in the immeadiate vicinity of where they landed. Currently this was going to be a shipping town that was close to one of the major Wyattland Naval Base's. Their secondary mission was preparing the way for any other troops that may be brought in if the situation degraded any further.

The Fuhrer's office was buzzing, people were talking hastily to each other, clutching brown files with red letters plastered across the top of them. Most wore military uniforms, those that didn't were mostly aides of some sort. They stood to the one side of the room, the side with the Coffee percolaters.

The doors suddenly opened as a man in a dark black suit stepped in, everyone fell silent and turned toward the door. The Fuhrer stepped gracefully through and walked toward the twenty odd people assembled in his office. He stopped before them and each gave a half-bow in front of him, he asknowledged it.

"So, we're in Neo Tyr conducting peace-keeping operations and we're conducting a full scale war in Semeridon, and now I hear we're facing an invasion of Sirens of Titan. Business as usual I guess." The assembly of people smiled politely, some were from Humanitarian organizations and had never been this close to the Fuhrer, they sweated profusely.
"Ok, I'll have a full meeting in 30 minutes, everyone except DoD and Foreign Affairs people leave and we'll resume this in the Cabinet Chamber later."

The people who were leaving bowed and walked quickly out, leaving the Fuhrer with the Joint Chief's and the Foreign Secretary and Under-Secretary of State.
"Now, whats the situation gentlement?" The Fuhrer walked over to a nearby window and stood looking out as one of the Joint Cheif's, a man dressed in Marine Corps uniform, began to speak.

"My Fuhrer, we have Foreign Legion units deployed in Wyattland at the moment conducting relief. I suggest another force is mobilized to deal with Sirens of Titan as certain other memebers of the CAP have already begun deployment. I have authorised intelligence gathering operations to commence immediately, and i believe Credonia has done the same. We are currently preparing an ivasion force to include Marine and Naval elements."

The Fuhrer turned and looked at the Marine General, "Excellent. Now, as I understand it this nation has declared a Holy War, or is about to?"

The Marine General spoke again, "Not quite, they have not made it clear whether they have declared a Jihad on Wyattland or not, but their actions certainly point in that direction. As you know these 'suicide bomber' countries are dangerous to invade, they are run by mad-men, tyrants if you will. But they have the people so firmly entrenched that most, except maybe the most impoverished, will support them, probably to the death. Thus i would suggest massive amounts of firepower, B-52 Arc-Light strikes on ever major city day and night until there is nothing but rats left, then we strike with Fuel Air Bombs, Napalm and Naval Artillery. We must destroy as much of their strongholds as possible before any of our land forces are committed."

The Fuhrer nodded, knowingly. "We're dealing with an Islamic country here so," he turned to the Under-Secretary of State, "I want the leaders of the Hirgizstanian Islamic Society in for a meeting tomorrow afternoon, we need to organise language and cultural instruction for any deployed troops. Now, get this sorted, and I'll see your for the meeting in half an hour."

Each man bowed before leaving the room, putting their coffee cups into a drainer as they did so. The Fuhrer moved over to his desk and sat down.

As of 1:00 this afternoon, WyattLand has officially declared it is in a state of war. 4 aircraft carriers: the USS Desperado, the USS Generation, the USS Renegade, and the USS Shadowhawk have been immediately deployed to our borders in defense preparation. These carriers will be under the command of USS Shadowhawk and Admiral Chapman. Also, each state's national guard has been deployed to patrol the skies above each respective state. Within the next 24 hours, our investigation will be completed, and released to the general public. It is at that time that our first target will be known...

Attention WyattLand Forces:

One of the Royal Xeraphian Navy's CBG's is already in your waters, and another, the 77th, is being deployed to the area.
Each Xeraphian CBG is comprised of 2 BattleCarriers, 2 Standard Carriers, 2 Battle Ships, 3 Destroyers, 3 Missile Ships, 2 Subs, and 12 Fast-Attack Boats.
They will be anchored 15 miles off of your coast. Please relay any info you deem pertinent, and we will coordinate accordingly.

He read through the page quickly before turning to the ships Captain, currently going over launching orders for the carrier.

"Jack, we are now under 7th Fleet command. We are to link up with the surface action group centred around Sabre and Hawk, and then Ramilles and Revenge will join us at the Cape. It appears that SoT is taking resposibility for these terrorist attacks. We are in negotiations with Allied governments to discern our course of action, although I would assume that we would be part of that.

"Yes Sir. Sabre and Hawk mean the rest of our Marine Division at the very least. We had better get on the horn to the local commanders and get our troops on land aware of the increased threat level."

"See to it Jack. Launch another pair of fighters from the carriers for BARCAP and double the usual amount on 5 minute stand-by."

The Admiral picked up the phone that linked him directly to the Groups SAM commander on the Cruiser Bridgetown.

"Charlie, lets put our SAM systems onto active and start running simulations on any friendly aircraft. Bring your people to Battle Stations."

"Aye Aye Sir."

The phone clicked down, and a second later the horn from the cruiser going to battle stations could be heard even over the noise of the flight deck. Most of the other escorts joined this chorus that floated across the choppy wave tops as Captains put there ships into radical turns to test their crews alertness.

On land the Marines of the 2nd Battalion went to a heightened alert as a heavy guard was placed on their small compound that they had established near the town. Helicopter gunships took off and began orbiting the town along with roving patrols on foot and vehicle.

But they don't because they know how to make a RP fair to everyone. Disallowing me allies while rallying as many nations as you can find yourself IS NOT FAIR PLAY. That is unfair advantage, and that is exactly why I only play with Credonia and Wyattland.

And yes, good players like Independent Hitmen are also excluded who came first. But hey, this is freeform RP. I decide who attacks me. And I have already said is a dozen times but only Credonia and Wyattland are allowed to attack me, if they still want to. It's funny, someone plays a terrorist nation and that means I have nothing to say about my own country.

True, and Credonia is ignoring everything he doesn't like. Note this is my stance on this matter and not to attract flames and such. OOC: You know, I find something quite interesting and mind-boggling...

I have attempted an RP similar to this once before... Wyattland "fell under attack" in the past. When I tried then to build a coalition against terrorism, I was completely ignored. I even went as far as to try to go to the United Nations. When I did that, I was given a bunch of BS by the mods. I even attempted to create one of those issues that would address the issue of terrorism by either A. Creating a special anti-terrorism task force within military branches for each respective nation, B. Establishing a Homeland Security Agency for each respective nation, and C. Ignoring the threat altogether. Those were the choices for it. That, however, was also ignored. Then, I tried creating a UN Resolution that would have done things similar to the issues I tried. That too, was ignored. It's very intriguing to me how people choose to ignore terrorism when it doesn't affect them directly, but when their nation is hit with it, they are all about war. First of all, SoT, do you think Afghanistan had any right to complain when the United States overthrew the Taliban that they didn't have the power to fend off the U.S. and Coalition Militaries? Second of all, to all coalition allies, I thank you for all your support and help with the RP. It's just a shame to see people give up so easily all because the "terrorists" want to whine that they can't build enough support for their efforts. Thanks to everyone for joining in this RP. It was interesting while it lasted. It's interesting to find this type of game, and have certain issues just tossed to the wayside, but when people finally step up and want to fight for it, they are either blown off, or given some excuse why it can't take place. Mationland has a terrorist free problem because we check everyone comming in to Mationland's belongings , we do a very through body search too for weapons . Parts used in bombs are also banned . Anyone caught trying to smugle these items in (including drugs,illigal immigrants) will have their possesions confiscated-destroyed and they themselves will be given Mationland - Execution By Hanging . Those under the age of 5 will be canned and have life imprisonment (with no parole) immediately .

Alright, first off, legions can be either considered separate military forces (ie: the French foriegn Legion) or part of the military (ie: the roman legions). Now, when a legion is part of the military, and not the military itself, it usually consists of about 20,000 personell. So, someone using three legions would fight with 60,000 troops, get it?

ICly you can only make a rough estimate and if you can RP it with spy and intelligence networks you can make your estimate more on target. And your IC posts are, I'm trying not to offend you but, they lack detail. Normally such posts are seen as 'n00bish' and generally players don't even bother to read them. I know you are a new player, so think about this: when a nation's allies are ignored beforehand, thus leaving him/her without allies while he himself rallies nations the other just have to accept it. And that's not how RP works. Ignoring something to make your own situation better is unfair advantage. For example, when I declare war on a powerful alliance, and ignore the powerful players, does that make it a fair RP? No. Same happens here and that's why I refuse to recognize this, and I'm sure neither of the other players would do when placed in such a situation.

Its a compromise really. Any nation here would be apprehensive if they were about to be attacked by numerous players, not to mention that many are very new and this causes the problem of 'coaching' which wastes time, the stickies elsewhere are there to remedy this.
The way i see it is that Guffingford doesn't want to RP anymore and no matter what we say or do he ain't gonna, unless he has read what Credonia just said an agrees, which is fine coz then we get an RP. If not we, i'm sure, along with Wyattland can come up with something else and RP off of that.

OOC: You know, I've pretty much kept quiet throughout most of this argument, so now i'm gonna say this. This is mainly for SoT, but I recommend everyone else read it as well...

SoT.....I came up with this RP, by posting about the attacks in WyattLand. I never said you cannot call your allies into this. If Credonia, and the rest of the coalition would choose to pull out because your allies are coming into it, that is entirely up to them, but let it be on the record here that WyattLand did not stand down in the face of being overpowered and outnumbered against "terrorism". My cousin died on September 11, 2001. He was in the north tower of the World Trade Center, above the impact point. He never made it out of the building. You have all my permission to bring your allies into the war, and if the coalition stands down from it, so be it, but for the record, I won't stand down. It may mean bitter defeat for WyattLand, because we will be outnumbered and overpowered, as we are not a very large nation, but we will not surrender.

Private Vladimer shifted in the seat of the C-130. He looked at the opening cargo door. He could see the other Hercules outside. They numbered about 50 total. Every now and then he would see a single streak of light fly by the side of the aircraft, followed by a deep roar.

"JSFs", his buddy Mac stated.

"From where?"

"Probably the Eagle"

Mac was refering to the V.S.S. Eagle, out in the middle of the Ocean. It was there with the rest of the 2nd Naval Fleet to support what Vladimer's unit, the 1st Airborne, was doing here in the SoT.

"To liberate the SoT people from an oppresive religious reigme, and to protect the sovereignty of WyattLand, as outlined by the Mir treaty"

They were Leg 1 of the Velkyan arm of Operation Joint Hurricane.
Wave one of the paratrooper assault, they were to establish a rudimentry landing field so the 1st RDF could move in and take charge.

Vlad was awakened by the call to stand up. The light had gone from red to yellow.

"Prepare to Jump!"

The light turned green.

"Helljumpers lead the way!" was the cry that eminated from the paratroopers as they plunged into the night.

5,000 men jumped on to the coast of SoT that day.

The JSF bucked silently. Lt. John Ashberg sat in the cockpit. He looked at his map. His target was marked in red. A artillery battery.

"This is Jazz 1, all Jazz flight report in!"

"Jazz 2 here"

"Jazz 3 reporting"

"Jazz 4 on station"

"Jazz 5 ready to rock!"

John looked at the HUD. 23 miles to target.

"Ready JDAMs!"

"Roger that, JDAMs armed!"

They roared past the landed Wave 1 airbrone troops. John noticed explosions around them on the ground.

"Jazz flight, release JDAMS!"

Built with special whistles, the JDAMs roared towards the artillery.

10 seconds later, the battery was a smoking crater in the ground.

"Good work Jazz flight!"

"Sir, I got a warning!"

On the ground, a single SoT AAA station was still in operation.

"Kill the infidels!"

"By your will"

The 30mm AAA gun followed the Jazz flight.

"Locked on to the rear plane!"

"Open fire"

The AAA gun screamed with fury, as huge shells filled the air around the Jazz flight.

"This is Jazz 5, im locked on to and taking fi-ahhhh!"

"Jack!" JACK! JACK RESPOND!"

"The engines are shot out, i'm going down!"

"Jazz 5, bail out now!"

"Ejection handle's stuck, i'm screwed sir!"

Static filled the helmets of Jazz flight.

2nd Lt. Jack Makal was the only known casualty of the opening night of Operation "Joint Hurricane". To ASV commanders, it was a astonishing success. To the V.S.S. Eagle's crew, it was a horrible loss.

IC: The Slayrulian fleet returned fire at the enemy, the ships were so close together at times that footsoldiers could throw grenades at the crews of the other ships. One soldier grabbed an anti-tank weapon and fired it right into an SoT aircraft carrier's bridge. Over three hundred Slayrulian ships had sunk so far, and many more were damaged. This battle would quite possibly determine the fate of the Slayrulian war effort. One of the Slayrulain battleships was destroyed when it blasted a SoT ship at point-blank range. A few marines fought the "old fashioned way" boarding SoT ships and capturing them instead of sinking them. The captured ships were used against SoT, causing mass confusion. About two hundred troop transports managed to slip past the battle to the shore. Aircraft from the Slayrulian carriers launched to engage both ships and land defenses. The battle was hell at sea.

Guerrillistan a nation that has harboured terrorists and similar groups since its birth watched with interest as a coalition of sorts built up to attack an allied and brother nation Sirens of Titan. Public opinion was almost 100% in favour of some sort of action to help Guerrillistans ally, an emergency summit was held in the capital Bazbak where for three days issues were debated and discussed over a course of action.
After the summit various events happened throughout Guerrillistan.
The entire Navy and Air forces were ordered to prepare for conflict, logistical support was raised to deal with expected costs and needs. The professional armed forces were put on alert and part time units were mobilized.

In the Guerrillistani central command plans were being made to determine the best use of the mighty Guerrillistani Forces, an attack on one of the invaders itself would open up a second front and relieve pressure of its ally.
As yet no strategic plans have been chosen but the nation of Guerrillistan began to prepare for war.

OOC: I am involved in this conflict but as of yet i have not yet mobilised any forces, except some small humanitarian stuff in Wyattland. Having seen the RP quality thus far i can see i am not impressed, but i think it will get better, it looks like beginner's confusion really. Anyway, i'm going to wait until i see some more RPing and then make a firmer decision on the issue of deployment.

SoT and Guerrilistan, are any of you two open to NBC/WMD attacks? Do you include enhanced radiation devices (producing neutron radiation not an atomic/fission reaction, if you don't understand just say and i'll explain it) as WMD's?

IC:

The zuhr prayer had ended only ten minutes ago, but the Mosque was usually cleared fairly quickly, with people returning home or to work. It was just after 12.45pm, Narani Ibn-Mulan al-Haliri or Naranai to most, was the Imam of Legionnaire's largest mosuque in Worthington, Jacksonville state. He was also a part-time Governmental advisor.

He and others of the Hirgizstanian Islamic Society often informed and helped the Government develop civic policy in areas of large Islamic demography. Narani was dressed in tradtional garb, a long linen vest with a brown imprint around the collar and wrists, with baggy white linen trousers and sandals. The only part that looked out of place was the black Oakley sunglasses. His beard was jet black and long, his hear was neatly trimmed and curly.

He closed the heavy oak doors, the entrance to where devotees prayed, and removed his tasbih from a pocket in his trousers. He walked through the sun drenched courtyard, and in between the palm trees he passed the beads between his thumb and forefinger, saying 'Subhanallah' as the beads passed.

His office was a squat building, flush and connected to the outer wall of the Mosque's courtyard, in the same long row as the wudu facilities, which were immensely large compared to his office. As he approached the oak door, shaded by a small roof, the Mosque's muezzin, a white former atheist from Worthington who had studied Islam in depth and become very lyrical, Yousef Mazzin, formerly Dave Nickson, walked out with a file under his arm.

He looked startled as he nearly bowled over Narani, "I was just going to look for you, we need to prepare a report, we're off to Hirgizstan City tomorrow, Fuhrer wants a meeting about an Islamic fundamentalist cum-terrorist nation called Sirens of Titan." Yousef spoke very fast, and was almost out of breath as he finished.

"Yousef, slow down, we don't need to rush, they'll have a plane at the airport for us, they always do. Give me the file and go into town, get some lunch and find Muhammed, i assume they want all three of us from Worthington?"

"Yeap. Ok...I'll go into town now, i'll be back for Asr no problem, thats if Muhammed doesn't want to chat about the inner workings of Naqsbhandi Sufism while in his room with no A/C. I mean, yeah ok i can discuss it, but i mean...A/C ain't that much."

"Yousef, I've told him a thousand times, he won't ever get air-conditioning. Just beep from the car and wave up, he'll come down."

"Fine, you better up-date that file with anything on Sirens of Titan, a new definition of Jihad would be an idea, and this time they want someone to administer classes on culture and language for military instructors, in under 48 hours mind you."

"Yousef...go...I'll deal with it."

Yousef patted Narani on the shoulder and ran off toward the open wooden arch doors on the other side of the courtyard.

Inside, Narani's office was simple, a desk, ancient computer, old fan and lots of paper things, usually stuff for teaching and for the community. He didn't bother trying to organise it anymore, he knew where it was. He shifted uneasily in his seat as he sifted through early Government intel reports, typing every so often on the computer, that sounded as if a cardiac arrest was next.

Lots of time had passed since Credonia took further action after declaring support of WyattLand. With the upcoming war with Sirens of Titan, it was apparent that the Credonian forces on their way to WyattLand could be much better used against Sirens of Titan. WyattLand is capable of policing their own people without help from foreign powers. That would only upset their citizenry even more.

The President's cabinet sat around a long polished-wood conference desk in the 'Situation Room' of the Presidential Palace discussing possible avenues to direct the coming war with SoT. There was a calmness about the people in attendance, though many of the cabinet members, including the President himself, were anxious to get things rolling.

"Mr. President, sir, we've had dealings with Sirens of Titan in the past, and to be quite frank, their military forces are shit in terms of actual military man power. Now, this nation is a known terrorist supporting and harboring nation, which puts another spin on things. Aside from the threat from their military forces, however small and lacking in number they may be compared to ours, we must still worry about jihadist and the terrorist/freedom fighter aspect. We may defeat their military, which I am two hundred percent certain that we will do and can do single-handedly, but its those bastard terrorists that will give us a hard time in the long run. I suggest we develop a plan to deal with them in a manner that will minimize Credonian losses, because I am almost certain that we will sustain at least some loss of life in this conflict, not a lot, but a number that will catch our eyes." explains General Jack Abbot of the Credonian Army.

"Thats a good observation General, however, I think that in order to achieve our goals, which are to take out the terrorists, we need to make a plan with the member states of the Coalition of Anti-Terrorist Powers. Thaty way we can efficiently deal with the terrorists. In the meantime, we need to focus on the Titanian military which will pose the greatest threat to us when we send forces in. Now in terms of manpower, what do they have to work with Mitchell?" replies President Sutton.

"Sir, we are not quite sure of the exact capabilities of their army and airforce, however, we have it from intelligence reports that they have an upwards of about 260 naval vessels. Four of them are suspected to be carriers, and roughly 50 of them are suspected to be submarines." replies Mitchell Ferguson, Credonian Secretary of Defense.

"I see, so the chances of there being a major naval confrontation with SoT are high, correct?"

"Yes sir."

"Very well then. Im pretty sure were going to get plenty of allied naval support, but just in case, I want the entire western high sea's battle fleet mobilized and the Eastern high seas battle fleet put on 24 hour stand-by. That will outnumber their naval forces alone, and we stand a better chance of keeping our naval forces once our allies being sending their naval forces into battle as well, so the odds of winning the naval war is completely in our favor. Theres no way they could win, or am I mistaken?"

"No sir, you are completely correct. Even if we did sustain heavy losses of naval vessels, they too would have sustained an even greater loss, especially with the amount of airpower that the battle fleet holds. We're talking thousands of aircraft. They couldnt possibly escape massive damage from them, and thats from our carriers alone." chimed in Admiral Clark, a Joint Chief of Staff.

"Excellent. I like hearing that. Now, lets talk ground forces. Given the situation and the fact that SoT will most likely be getting support from their allies, I think we should send in an initial amount of 500,000 troops from the Western Army. 500,000 more, from the same army, would be kept on stand-by here in Credonia and ready to be deployed to SoT if the ground war goes amuck. We have been given congressional authority to devote as many troops to this conflict as needed, even if it takes all 8 million of our standing ground forces plus draftees, but in any case, we will continue sending in ground forces until the enemy gives, and as always, we will have allied support. What do you guys think?" exclaims President Sutton.

[i]"Thats a great idea sir and most likely the most sensible route to go for this conflict. We arent quite sure what we will encounter, we arent even sure of the enemies military capabilities, so a gradual build up of Credonian military forces and constant assessment of the conflict will ensure that we devote the military power that we need to win this war." says Secretary Ferguson.

"Thank you gentlemen for your time, that will be all for now. You are excused.....Mr. Ferguson, could you stay for a moment. Theres a matter I need to discuss with you involving unconventional warfare..."

At that que, everyone in the room except the Secretary of Defense rise and exit the room.

"Now Mitchell, what plans do you have for the separate deployment of our Demonic Fury Theatre Ballistic missiles, because I have an idea that should be quite effective against the enemy......."

Some Sirens of Titan ships were boarded, but the suicide bombers either blew them off the ships, or Holy Warriors ignited the powder chamber, not letting the ships fall into the wrong hands. Only three managed to open fire against the Sirens of Titan fleet, which was answered with another barge of missiles against them. From the land the airforce of Slayrule was completely demolished by the AA missile batteries, shooting them all down even before they could do any damage. Some did, others didn't. The role of Slayrule was done in Sirens of Titan, and now the Armies of Allah (Akbar!) were on their way to meet Slayrule on their hometurf. Once they have been defeated there, then another country will witness the Glory of the Islamic Revolution!

IC: the fleet continued to suffer heavy casualties, but they seemed to be holding their own. Most of the SoT ships repelled the Marine assault, but the Slayrulians were countering with all their might. The flagship of the task force, the H.H.S Eternus sent out a request for immediate reinforcement, which it quickly recieved. The troop transports finally landed on SoT soil and fought their way through the defenses after about an hour's heavy fighting, and the Slayrulian fleet finally took the sea. The army started to surge forward with al it's might with new purpose. The sight of landing craft swelling by the thousands behind those that had already unloaded must've been a terrifying sight as the Slayrulian Army started their part of Operation Joint Hurricane. New ships started to appear, and the occasional transport plane unloaded paratroopers deep into SoT.

In a controversial landmark decision today by Congress, The United States of WyattLand voted to unanimously strike down the Comprehensive Nuke Test Ban Act, which prohibited the building and testing of all nuclear weapons. This comes just days after WyattLand announced it was pulling out of the Anti-Ballistic Missle Treaty. When questioned about today's suprising ruling, Major General George Adams said "While, WyattLand is a peace loving nation, who takes pride in it's freedom, we are dealing with terrorists here, and we can't afford to take any options off the table." President Mason was flown today to an undisclosed location, where unconfirmed reports say he will remain for an undetermined amount of time. It is said that Chief of Staff of the Air Force, General Thomas J. Spencer, son of the late President Spencer, will take charge of all of WyattLand's military forces in Operation Joint Hurricane.

The Emperor surveyed the reports from the battle. It had been a victory, but he might as well have lost for all the Slayrulian blood spilled. Surely there had to be a more civilized way to end this? He picked up a pen and drafted a letter which he would have sent to the leader of SoT.

I have a request of you. There has to be a way to setle our dispute without total genocide. How about we settle this like the warriors of old, fighting our battle one on one in a duel to the death? There is an island colony of mine in international waters that we can use as an arena if you accept my challenge.

The President and Secretary of Defense finished their private discussion. Secretary Ferguson rose from the table with a self-satisfied smile on his face. The President remained in his chair, reclined in a casual manner, smirking as he watched the secretary exit the situation room, quietly closing the door behind him. A decision had just been made that could possibly turn the tide of war with Sirens of Titan early. This war would mark the first time the new series of Credonian designed theatre ballistic missiles would be used, but they wouldnt be shipped until well after much land had been seized and secured by allied forces.

Sutton continued to recline in his chair, giving thought to the orders he was preparing to give to the military. War with SoT now was imminent. It was time to deliver the last blow to that nation. It was time to democratize a terrorist state. Thinking even more, Sutton realized that very few allies had acted, and even fewer were dishing out military forces to put towards the take-over of SoT, but he didnt fear. He was almost certain that no matter how hard SoT and the terrorists within tried, that they would be defeated, even if Credonia went in alone. The time had come to put everything to the test. Almost suddenly, Sutton whipped forward in his chair and picked up the reciever of the phone sitting on the table. He pressed two buttons and it began ringing. After several rings, someone picked up followed by a deep voice.

General Abbot here!"

"General Abbot, order our forces currently enroute to WyattLand back to Credonia. They dont need our assistance at this time. Their humanitarian aids crisis is being handled by the Ottoman Alliance humanitarian aid relief package." states Sutton.

"Yes sir, right away...."

"Now, we need to mobilize our ground forces. What do we have to work with?"

"Well, since we need an initial amount of 500,000 men, we can send in a number of infantry divisions. I can mobilize the 92nd, 93rd, 94th, and 95th army infantry divisions as well as the 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, and 43rd marine infantry divisions. That will put us at exactly 550,000 men. The 43rd marine division will be the last to go in since it puts us over by 50,000. We can use them if necessary."

"Very well. Make it happen General."

"As you wish Mr. President."

"That is all"

With that, Sutton hung up the phone while the General relayed the mobilization orders. He sat for a while thinkig about the brave men who were about to be shipped off to battle. Five hundred thousand, a large number of forces for even this conflict. It was apparent that until allied support began coming in, Credonia would carry the burden of conducting this war on its own. Loss of Credonian lives would mount, but nonetheless, he was absolutly certain that the allies, or at least Credonia, could win the war. It was only a matter of time before hostilities would begin. The ground forces were beginning their mobilization, the naval fleets were already mobilizing, and the air forces were already mobilized from another conflict, but would now be used to leave Sirens of Titan in ruins.

After pondering his actions, Sutton rose from his seat and made his way to the press room of the Presidential Palace. When the door opened and he stepped through, the press corp has already been assembled. They were anxious. As he made his way to the podium, he noticed the line of people standing behind it. It was the senior cabinet members along with the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The press knew something big was about to be announced dealing with military actions. Sutton approached the steps leading up to the towering podium bearing the Presidential seal. He took a look back behind his shoulders and the National Security Advisor nodded her head in agreeance with what he was about to say. He looked down at the glass of water sititng next to him, but he was too anxious to say what he had to say so he looked back up.

"My fellow Credonians, today we are faced with tyranny and oppression from a source that we failed to contain. We are faced with a life and death situation, one in which we must act upon for the safety and security of not only ourselves, but all people around the world. That looming threat, the threat of death falling upon us all comes from the terrorist factions that we so hard fought to defeat in years past. Why did we stop pursuing the goal, the objective of ridding this earth of the filthy, dirty scum we call terrorists? Because we buckled in fear. We gave in to international pressures. We departed from our quick and decisive course of action, but today, I come to you, the Credonian people and the world with a renewed vow and pledge. Credonia will rid this earth of those who bring death and destruction to innocent lives just to further their cause. Credonia will rid this earth of all those who harbor such scum, who support such scum, who fund such scum. We will see to it that they are smited from the face of this planet. We will do so with or without international support. We will not stop until all major terrorist threats have been neutralized and eliminated. We will not tire, we will not deviate from the course, we will only accept total victory.

A few days ago, the Continental Congress of the United States of Credonia granted me unrestricted power to conduct this war on terror in any fashion I want, I was also granted the right to declare war on any nation suspected of harboring, supporting, or funding terrorists, and since then, we, the Credonian people have kept on the watch for targets, nations who are known to support, harbor, and fund terrorists. Tonight, I come to you today to officially declare that a state of war exists between the United States of Credonia and the nation of Sirens of Titan. Upon my orders, Credonian military forces are mobilizing or have already been mobilized to strike Sirens of Titan. 550,000 brave Credonian men and women will be shipped out within hours to protect the lives of countless thousands and possibly millions around the world. Tonight, we embark upon the journey to rid the world of terrorism and the tyranny and oppression that they bring to the innocent. Tonight, we declare war upon all terrorists individuals, groups, organizations, and nations. We're coming for you and I have only one message for you. You cant run! You cant hide! We will find you! Death and destruction is knocking on your door, and theres nothing you can do to stop it. Your days of spreading fear throughout the world is over. The death of the innocent will be avenged. We will show NO mercy, NO pitty, NO sympathy for you. You will die at the hand of Credonia running from us, or you will be caught and swiftly brought to justice! NOW ITS YOUR TURN TO FEAR US!!!"

Sutton immediately took a sip of his water and stepped away form the podium. The room bursted into applause. This certainly was one of Suttons most moving speeches ever written, and now it was time to deliver what he had promised.

He exited the press room, followed by the Secretary of State Lauren Smith and the Secretary of Defense.

"Lauren, get ahold of our allies right away. Its time to get them involved. We need their support"

"Right away Mr. President" she obediently replied.

They continued down the hall to prepare for what lied ahead and a reaction from the allies and Sirens of Titan.

ooc: and why is that so i lose a few troops doesn't mean i will lose all my troops its called moving ur troops in the right way and learning from your mistakes because if you don't allow a nation to learn and grow they will never make it and ur basically saying that all new nations stand no chance agaist older nations and as u know that is not true because look at americas revolution where the defeated a well trained army (England). so even if i do lose some troops doesn't mean i roll over and die. it means that yes he has more men then i do. but i have allies to HELP me so i won't roll over and die. I feel it is the duty of an older nation to help out the younger ones to learn how to play the game. but thats just how i feel. so here is my offical statment.

secret IC:
with declarations of war declared against Sirens of Titan, Guerrillistan commanders realised they had to get troops into SoT itself, 5000 Guerrillistanis of the Paramilitary wing immediately began to prepare to enter SoT to help fight the invaders, and set up and develop insurgency.

The first wave would involve 800 engineer troops, these would build an HQ of sorts and temporary airbase for further incoming supplies and troops. This temporary site will be created at (camp X), a site well hidden in the wilderness. A rendezvous with SoT will also be established to coordinate dispersal within SoT. This will be called operation Tick. With the completion of Operation Tick, the remaining 4000+ paramilitaries would arrive mainly by transport plane C5

Operation Tick

The air was heavy and the the clouds were dropping thick rain. A small storm had been perfect cover for the small flotilla to infiltrate. Several destroyers and a small Helicopter carrier bobbed on the ocean, twenty miles from SoT. Onboard were the first wave of 20 engineers plus equipment, these were loaded onto 3 Puma transports, a single light dozer was slung to a chinnook for runway clearance/construction. Air cover would be one HinD although enemy contact was certainly not expected.

At 02:00 the small airborne took off, heading for SoT to create the small temporary Guerrillistani LZ and HQ.

Somewhere in SoT....4 days after Operation Tick / 0700

The sun beat down of the small Guerillistani HQ, a surprising amount of work had been carried out, helicopters constantly buzzed overhead to the LZs bringing in communications equipment and essential logistical goods to maintain an effective operational centre. All around engineers were directing the grunts doing various jobs, camoflage netting was going up, tents, generators and sanitory facilities were installed.

Contact with ex-GLA members resident in SoT had been established and plans were being drawn up to begin training some of the SoT peoples in the way of Guerrilla warfare and insurgency. SoT was no easy place to take over, the harsh landscape, lack of drinkable water and poor access to the remote regions would hamper the invading forces.

Guerrillistani troops in SoT now numbered just under 5000, 400 hundred at the HQ, the rest had begun to infiltrate into SoT to begin insurgency and guerrilla recruiting.

john paul nods to the nearest monk. the small man is dressed in orange robes and his head is shaved. he wears a decorative bindi on his forehead.

John Paul McCommons: "Tell me sir, why are you doing this?"

the monk has a strong indian accent and he is wrinkled from age, but he looks healthy. he speaks roughly.

Monk: "We are doing dis for da pepole ahn wyattland. We are fasting as well as living here on the steps wif nothing. Der ahr children who have no fader or moder ahnd we hope to collect food and supplies for dem. We will leave as much as possible on the bordars of Wyattland."

John Paul: "How do you think the people of Topaique Genivive are going to respond?"

Monk: "We have already sent two airships dat were donated from a local piolot school wid donated food and cwoding. We hope da next will be filled with rebuilding materheals and even more food ahn cwoding. Myself ahn da odter sixteen monks here at jhodoria hope we impact da lifes of the children ahnd help them cope whith da war."

John-Paul: "Are you planning on taking in orphans?"

monk: "Yes sir. we are open to housing da orphans. We can be considahd safe haven."

The Fuhrer eyed the fax carefully. As he read down the page his brow furrowed, he was contemplating something. The Fax had been left by a secretary and she had been replaced in the room by General Tommy Jackson, Hirgizstanian Army. He was stocky man, his chest accentuated further by the tailored uniform and various decorations he wore. His grey hair was cut close, short and sharp. He stood rigidly to attention, staring at a spot on the wall, unmoving.

The Fuhrer put the fax down and the General bowed slightly in the normal manner, before returning to a position of attention, as rigid as before.
"At ease General, no need to stand at attention in here." The General stood down, he moved slightly and looked at the Fuhrer. "Now, Tommy, as i understand it the Credonians have mobilised over half a million troops?"

"That's correct, my Fuhrer. Early this morning, our time."

The Fuhrer shifted in his seat, he propped his arm over the back and sat almost side on, again contemplating something.
"We'll have to meet their deployment, we can't have our ally fighting terrorism on their own, we'll deploy now aswell. I had hoped to wait until I had concluded a meeting with the Hirgizstan Islamic Society, but that will have to wait. What forces do you suggest General?"

The General gave a half smile before talking, "Marines, and Colonial Military I think, as well as some Air Force elements, if the Navy require their help when they move into-theatre."

The Fuhrer put one hand under his chin, waiting a few seconds before replying, "Good...yes...listen, put two Fleet's into the theatre, two full fleets, and put another one on stand-by."

"Very well sir, i will have the necessary paperwork ready for your approval this afternoon. Now, My Fuhrer, may i take leave?"

"Yes, of course, I'll see you this afternoon then."

The General snapped to attention, saluted and put his cap back on before doing an about turn and walking swiftly from the large office.

The Leer cruised along through the clouds above the Sea of Legion, fifty miles off Worthington, JV. Narani sat in a plush leather chair working at a small laminate wooden desk with a laptop. He had nearly finished his report. He checked his watch, only another 2 hours before they touched down in Hirgizstan City-he'd be finished by then...hopefully.

The toilet flushed and water could be heard running as Yousef opened the bathroom door and ducked so he didn't hit his head on the cabin roof. One of the two stewardess' poked her head out from behind a curtain, situated between the bathroom and the door to the flight deck. Yousef waved her off and she gave him a smile before closing the curtain again.

Yousef nodded at Narani and pointed at Muhammad who dozed on a chair behind them, a copy of the Quaran on his lap. His prayer cap lay at a funny angle and his tasbih lay drawn through one of his hands. Muhammad was large, a jolly older man of 51, with the first grey streaks starting to appear in his beard. When awake he could be immensely funny and often had kids in rapturous laughter when he taught them at the Mosque. His funny side, however, was balanced by a deep spiritual understanding and respect for his faith, he often roped Yousef into long discussions about small practices within the Muslim faith, and Yousef could only tollerate.

Narani grinned at the comical look plastered on Yousef's face. He shook his head and returned to his work.

For the fourth time this week the President was up and in the situation room, instead of being asleep in the Presidential Bedroom. Tonight an all night session had been called to assess the strength of allied commitments and the necessary IH assets that would be committed to the campaign.

The strongest arm of the military was the navy. It was the senior branch of the armed forces and was certainly a large power on the oceans of the world, however it remained untested in combat of this size due to all previous crisies falling apart before decisive military action needed to be taken.

Now however the IH 9th Fleet would be sailing into danger to support allied forces. Its twelve carriers and five battleships, including two of the Aasimar Class, would be sailing to rendevous with allied fleets very soon. Already their destroyer, frigate and cruiser escorts were blasting the waters around Gillen Naval Base with their active sonars as the massive ships loosed their docking lines and slid slowly out into the darkening water.

When the carriers were sufficiently far out to sea the remaining parts of their airwings joined them as they began the nine day journey.

From PortHaven Naval Station, Ballistic Missile Submarines that were not already out at sea slipped their own mooring cables and headed out to pre-determind positions around the coast, ready to launch their ballistic missiles at any power that launched them at the IH homeland.

At military installations across the country, guards changed their normal dress for battle fatigues and pisol holsters were swapped for assualt rifles. In most bases body armour was issued to the guards, whilst certain National Guard armouries recieved activation notices along with the arrival of truckloads of eager National Guardsmen.

At the New White House itself, four trucks of Marines armed with assualt rifles and body armour pulled up, and these new uniformed guards took positions around the perimeter fence supplementing the Secret Service Agents who now moved primarily into the structure.
