Powerful navy for a five-million person state, but that's okay. (Your population will grow anyway). Looks cool.

Hmmm, doesn't the Mormon doctrine speak out against war? Or is that a different religious doctrine? Pretty impressive none the less, especially when it comes to your naval power. Being 88% landlocked, I have focused my country's military development mainly on building powerful air and ground forces.

OOC: your navy is excessively large, my own navy is not nearly that large and I have monetary aid from an economic powerhouse, you could not possibly afford this navy of yours, you might be able to purchase it but the upkeep would bankrupt your nation in short order, the cult of mormon cannot possibly have the money for even two thirds that much seaborne firepower. also a real life carrier has a crew in excess of two thousand, your ships are woefully undermanned, they could not even have all of the watches covered, they're not even the skeleton of a skeleton crew, they are combat ineffective.

OOC: As for the large size of his navy, I think that as far as cost go it's reasonable. I mean, he's definitely skimped on his ground forces (less than 5000) and air force (less than 1600). So, it's reasonable for him to have the money to buy the ships, as long as he's prepared to be a little tight money-wise. The limiting factor is men. Miehm is correct, carriers usually have crews of between 2000-5000. A large warship with a crew of 800 is not going to be able to do anything. Other than that, I like it so far, MC.

Well... they have four aircraft carriers and 16 million people. Thailand has a single light aircraft carrier and twenty million people. Mormon Church's economy is probably a little better than Thailand (he has a "strong" economy"), but even then affording four big carriers would be troublesome. But, he *has* skimped out on the army quite a bit.

Also, what planes are stored on those carriers?

I think the fleet list is okay, because,

1) The Mormon Church's population will grow anyway to the point where his budget is reasonable in pretty short order.

2) This is nationstates, so we might as well have wacky military lists. You have other people building kilometer-long surface ships, so why not have a medium-sized nation with a carrier-heavy navy and a small army? Makes things interesting.

That is what i was trying to do but if people don't like it i can change it as far as the men on the aircraft carrier most of it is ran by computer if it is ran by the computer there is no need for many jobs.

Well, you would need an amazingly good computer system (as well as machines, to do work like maintainence) to be able to replace a crew of 2,000 sailors. How would you maintain the weapons and planes? How would you protect your fleet from being neutralized by an EMP burst or two? How would you pay for the research, development, and construction & installation of the computer system? How would maintainence and repairs be handled?

I'm not trying to nitpick, but these are things you need to think about. Such a computer system, if it were even possible, would be outrageously expensive and complicated. Just thought I should point this stuff out.

it runs off the same computer system as the USS Sea Shadow of the USN where it replaced a whole distroyer crew (except 3) and put on computers as for the EMP blasts haven't got a way to block them out and the 600 men is to fly and maintain the plans (except 100)

The Mormon Church is now adding 2 new army bases and 3 new airforce bases making it 6 bases per army and airforce. The reason behind this is because of the growth of people and our econmy. Also our aircraft carriers are getting our newest updating metal (the EMP resistor) to the hulls and flight decks this "metal" is a light coat of fibers which takes the blasts and puts it into engery and stored in the engery cells for the ship. And the THCS Smith and the THCS Moroni sets sail with the 10th marine platoon to Credonia Monday, so they can join in on the war on terror. I wish the best of luck to my troops.

Official Response From The Credonian Defense Department

"Though we welcome all nations to join in on Credonia's 'War on Terror', we must regretfully inform you that foreign troops are not welcome on Credonian soil, whether they be friendly or allied. This policy is not directed to your nation alone. There have only been two instances in the history of Credonia where foreign troops were called into Credonian territory, and that was when fears were running high that Credonia was on the verge of being invaded...an invasion that has never to this day, come. Any and all of your military forces that are currently enroute to Credonia are welcome to use the facilities of the Sutton Naval Base, located on the south central coast of Credonia, however, those forces may NOT leave the base and wander onto soil outside of the naval base. This policy has been instituted for the safety and protection of the Credonian people. We hope you understand."

The Mormons accept the policy that the Credonia people have made and is calling the fleet back but is still standing by for the war on terror to call upon the Mormons Troops.

Yeah about that, that would never work, like, ever. A 600 man crew still would not have enough personnel to have all departments manned for all watches, you have to have somebody in the loop in case the computer cuts out on you, and 600 people isn't even enough to run any thing bigger than a PT boat squadron or a small (very small) submarine.
