Captain Spacedragonblue looked straight ahead to the lush, white beached island in the distance. Finally, he was here. He had been searching for weeks in the Blue Ocean, using the flagship of the NYC fleet, the S.S. Hudson, for the mysterious archipelago that was said to lie here. Stretching thousands of miles, each island was very different in size, geography, climate and people. Or so the rumors went. But his crew began to regard it as a legend. They suggest exploring other places for the burgeoning population of NYC to settle. Certainly a chain of islands that big would have been found within a few days of leaving port.
But here was the affirmation he had been waiting for. A green, peaceful looking isle, with smoke rising from its green foliage, suggesting people. Lots of them; a village prehaps! He went out in a skiff with twenty of his best men, and landed on the shore. He just hoped the natives were friendly!
