Sel Appa

Following the wishes of Chancellor Dinh, Parliament voted unanimously to restore the Grand archduchy as just the Head of State. Sadly, three hours later, at 1527h, the former Grand Archduke Kirby died. He was in a coma at the time, caused by an assassin several months earlier. His family is making funeral preparations and Chancellor Dinh is preparing to crown Prince Kirby II as the new Grand Archduke.
The funeral will be held tommorrow at 1600h. All foreign leaders who wish to attend may do so and are permitted a maximum 12-member honor guard. Our own security will be on hand if situations arise. The area around the funeral will be closed off completely to air travel. Drivers must show their passports at checkpoints randomly placed around the vicinity.
This is a deeply sad day for Sel Appa. Kirby I is believed to be the greates leader and enjoyed a 98% approval rating throughout his reign. He brought Sel Appa into the 21st Century and made sure that it was always up to date. Accomplishments include increasing freedom of the press and reaching out to rural and poor. He is survived by his wife Sarah I Nelin, his children Kirby II, Sarah II, and Arielle II, and his four grandchildren Alexa VI, Leah II, Austria, and Marcus.
The funeral will include a parade down Nemnenait Street and it will end in Nemnenait Square. There, people will be able to pay respects to the dead leader. The following day, he will be buried along with all the other Grand archdukes before him.
