OOC Thread: Can someone help me/us with creating a Map?

Okay, so in the interest of improving my RP skills I have decided that I would like to create a map. My problem is that I have no idea what do to, so I was wondering if someone would make for me. That would be great and I would quite greatful. So if you are willing to help me than please post here. Then I will post the info for it.

1. Draw a wiggly looking shape in Paint
2. Draw a few wiggly looking blue lines to represent rivers
3. Use the spray paint tool to draw some mountains. Brown looks best. Put the mountains near where the rivers start.
4. Scatter a few cities about the place. Give them names.
5. You might want to put a few forests in. Do the same as for mountains, only colour them green.
6. Make sure to save as a JPEG or GIF.

I can just do that...it isnt expected to be nicer looking?

You could draw some monster looking things at the edge and write "Here be Dragons" if you want, but that's really more of ye olde fantasy type of thing.

My map was more or less made using the aforementioned techniques, and it looks pretty nice. You can even scratch the mountains and rivers if you want, and just have cities. It's pretty much up to your imagination. Have fun with it. Hell, if you want I'll add you to my continent.

Thanks for the offer but I have my own little continent thing going on with some nations, but thanks. Yeah and I am going to make my own map. I feel kind of dumb right now. Eh!
