The Holy Covenant bound the worlds of the Servants of Purity. Their mighty fleets rebuilt, they stand ready to defend themselves against anyone and anything that harms them. Their soldiers stood strong, ready to protect their planets in the name of the gods.

The Covenant had imploded upon itself, as the Prophet of Purity had predicted. He had lead a well-hidden coup on the former human world of Keldoria. From there the coup spread to six other systems, from which they consolidated their borders and stood ready to fight the forces of the High Prophet of Truth.

But Truth was too cowardly to face them, and instead concentrated on the Human-Covenant war.

Now the Covenant was gone, and the Servants of Purity still stood. From their capitol world of Keldoria, they stood ready to re-enter the universe. Yet things had not gone their way...a massive error in one of their new ship's slipspace drives combined with the high energy output of the shielding devices plunged all seven systems into the chaotic void of Slipspace.

Millions died in the tragic accident, and the ship was torn apart by the power. When the smoke cleared and the Servants of Purity reactivated their devices, the Universe before them was unfamiliar. Was it an alternate universe never heard from before? Was it a different galaxy altogether?

The stars were different, the systems were alien and strange. And they had the feeling they were not alone. The many races under the New Covenant combined as one, they scurried to repair their damaged fleets and planetary defenses, praying to the gods that no hostile species would attack before they were able to defend.

The massive slipspace jump had sent out an energy surge that would be detected as far as hundreds of systems away...any space-faring empire would easily detect it, and the Covenant expected company at any moment...

I'm bored too. University papers are teh suck to write up.

Always on the lookout for the wraith, Xenonian outposts scattered across the two galaxies colud simply not miss the massive resurgence of energy. Noting it's direction, one of the outposts positioned on the Kriovalian border calculated the energy flux's location, and dispatched a probe to investigate.

The probe activated it's own internal drive, and jumped a good lightyear or two away from the target, before shutting itself down completely. The ship would appear to either be nothing, or an asteroid, just another worthless piece of garbage floating around space.

The Purity Senate opted today to transmit a signal into the surrounding sectors. As you may already know, most electronic data was wiped by the power surge during the slipspace error; where we are now is an unknown variable.

The fleets are undergoing repairs, only the heaviest ship classes were able to escape damage, and nearly all the Patrol Boats and Frigates were damaged beyond repair. The High Prophet of Purity has been secured on the Homeworld under personal guard by Lord 'Malakee and the Warriors of Purity.

Despite the inherent risk, the High Prophet of Purity is adamant that the Covenant is capable of defending itself when necessary. The remaining ships of the fleet have been placed on red alert, and all sensors have been set to scan for signs of intelligent life.

The following message has been sent into the depths:

"We greet any intelligent species who recieves this message. We, the Covenant of the Servants of Purity, seek allies in an unfamiliar land. Our computer banks have been wiped and we are lost in space, without direction or knowledge. We are requesting first contact with any organization willing to meet with us."

Planetary defenses are reported online and functioning almost perfectly, the atmosphere of most planets was able to shield the ground-based defenses from the dangers of slipspace. Numerous Kig-Yar have been hospitalized with severe radiation poisoning, presumably from the massive accident.

Retuk squinted at the incoming object through the methane-filled air. Just an asteroid of some sort, not any detectable threat. He visibly relaxed, twirled around in his chair and continued the game his team was playing before the alert came in. Everything was going according to plan.
