“Yes my Führer, everything you have asked for is completed.”
“My thanks, you may go now.” The man walked away from the Führer closing the door behind him. One last time the Führer looked at the new proclamation of the Guffingfordii civil rights. The satisfaction of doing the people of his nation a favour is astounding. One hour later the Führer was walking up the stage while the maniacal crowd was cheering, chanting patriotic songs and screaming support of the Führer’s plans of action. After five minutes the roar settled down which was immediately replaced by the echo of the microphones.

“My citizens…” Again the masses began to cheer an almost perfect repetition of what happened only five minutes ago. This outburst of love also lasted around five minutes, giving the Führer some more time to prepare himself.
“My citizens” he started again, “I come here today with a message of hope, a message of freedom. I have spent the last few days working on a whole new bill of civil rights for you, the pure people of The German Reich…” The skills of repetition of the crowd were almost robotic. As programmed they began to shout and cheer again, praises and messages of love for him.
“…For a long time Guffingford has appeared to be a barbaric realm to the outside world and therefore…” This time the shouts of love turned into a manifest of hatred against communist nations, insults were thrown around, curses and other nasty expressions of disagreement with communism.
“…My citizens” The Führer continued “…And therefore I hereby present you and the world the civil rights we cherish. First of all, I have signed per official decree that all same-sex activities are outlawed from now on.” The anger of only a few moments ago was completely forgotten and the right arm was raised and everyone – even six-year-old children, shouted sieg heil. The Führer went on
“…I have also signed Civil Protection Act number two, which outlaws the ideology of all races being equal. This is not true, genetically proven…” The sheer outburst of love and praise continued, went on and on but hasn’t reached its climax yet.
“…My citizens…” Interruption by yet another wave of love and lavish worship “…My citizens, I have inspirited by the ideals and laws of Social Nationalism, the next step of National Socialism, an already extremely worthy ideology that all left-leaning parties and expressions are outlawed. Communism is not welcome in The German Reich!” The incredible exaltation and deafening shouts for joy discontinued the speech again for a few minutes.
“My blood brothers, these laws are not to oppress or to make will-less slaves out of you, nay, these have been added to the books of law to protect you against intellectual and moral decay, brought forth by communists around the world. And from this day, you will no longer find books of questionable content in your bookstores, you will no longer see posters displaying subversive idea’s, you will also no longer be able to hear or listen to the asinine vomit blabbered by socialist channels both on the radio and television. You all have the right to enjoy Social Nationalism without oppression of outside elements. Reason and Compassion! It is your right and my duty to protect you from intellectual and moral decay!” As soon as the Führer finished with this fragment of his speech the uproar of revering reached such a high level City Watch officers had to quell the love. Suddenly, from behind the stage a loud drum roll started, pumping up the tempo of the speech even further.
“…My racially aware peoples, my pure citizens we have always stood against vile communist threat luring our fair citizens away. We have beaten them back time and time again, yet they try to no avail. The government tells truth, but these treacherous socialist people who have denounced God, and wish to destroy Capitalism. They know not how to halt their fast thoughts and let their lips turn truth into lies…” The drum roll was still going strong. The Führer has stopped talking and held his silver clasp with his left hand while doing the customary Reichs Salute with his right arm, the drum roll kept going.
“I solemnly swear that I shall always protect my people against intellectual and moral decay…” As the Führer finished this sentence the crowd responded with Sieg Heil. “…Our Race is our Identity, our Freedom is Supremacy, our Knowledge is Truth…”

SIEG HEIL! SIEG HEIL! SIEG HEIL! SIEG HEIL! SIEG HEIL! SIEG HEIL! SIEG HEIL! SIEG HEIL! SIEG HEIL!

The Führer continued “…Citizens! Who dares to defy Social Nationalism? Speak now or be silent forever. Speak your disagreement with me, or be silent forever. I ask you, am I doing something wrong?” One cry of ‘NO’ blew from the crowd transforming soon after in yet another wave of infinite loving. The Führer spoke out the last few words before the drum roll stopped “Citizens of the Reich, I bid you farewell and thanks for being perfect.”

The day started off as another cool Tuesday morning in Iuthia Prima, the offices of Central Command weren’t as busy as they had been over the past few weeks as matters in Haven cooled down only to be replaced with other admittedly less dangerous matters. Haven could look after itself and more importantly the staff had been working overtime until recently, so a small number of them were permitted leave for the time being. On the whole, things seemed a little more stable now that the Lord General was properly wed and allies were appeased.

However, this didn’t change the fact that incidents around the world still occurred almost every week, often they were too minor to get involved in personally, though they still needed watching… after all, it didn’t take much for a small matter to turn into a world wide concern. So there Mick sat, reading through some of the latest reports on how things were going in the various nations Iuthian embassies occupied, many of which covering the recent daily affairs of nations Iuthia hardly knew or cared about. Meanwhile the larger ongoing matters had reached the point where nothing more could be done, such as the matter of Hogsweatian raids against several nations embassies… a withdrawal was in the process, but until the commies gave their reply there was little more to do other then to have Intel cover it.

But one thing did grab his attention a little; a minor report from an Iuthian Ambassador in the nation of Guffingford who went by the name of Kevin Andrews. The reports basically consisted of an update on the nation’s progress lately and a quick analysis on the currents of their society, basic stuff really; he received these all the times from all one hundred and ten Iuthian embassies around the world. The difference here was that unlike the others which mostly stated local news and public opinion, this one reported an interesting public speech and change of policy made by the Führer himself to the Pure People of Guffingford. It reminded Mick of an old nation they used to deal with…

Mick picked up the telephone receiver from the desk and punched some numbers in, he didn’t hurry because time wasn’t of the essence really; it was more an interest he wanted to look into.

“Hello, Adrian?... Yes, it’s me, Mick. I don’t suppose you’ve had chance to look over the latest report from our Guffingford embassy have you?... yeah? Ok, so what’s your take on this development?... hmm…yeah, I got the same vibe of it too, I want to be ready to send an official communication asking about some of the changes made, I want to see know how it may affect the safety of our people, beyond that it’s just a matter of keeping them from doing anything silly, call it damage control if you like… yeah, I’ll be ready in a little bit, let me finish up here first. Seeya later.”

He put the phone back down and considered everything for a moment. On the whole it wasn’t what he would call a exciting development, the reduction of civil rights wasn’t really any concerns to the Iuthian people in any direct sense… it wasn’t Iuthian business to go out of it’s way to fight another nations law unless that law forced itself on the Iuthian people. However, the second ‘Civil Protection Act’ was indirectly a threat to Iuthian diplomats, a small concern which would need to be directly addressed. This wasn’t the first time the IDC had addressed a nation about such laws and their affect on Iuthian diplomacy as there had been many other incidents where matters of foreign laws had to be addressed. It was a simple matter ultimately.

So Mick finished reading the other reports because making his way down to get this thing properly sorted.

I write to you today out of concern for our diplomats currently working in our Embassy in Beauford as well as Ambassador Kevin Andrews of the Iuthian Diplomatic Corps. The recent changes made in Guffingford law regarding the ‘Civil Protection Act’ have been perceived as a potential risk in our current diplomatic mission to Guffingford due to the illegalisation of any ideology which suggests that all men and women are equal.

It is our concern that Iuthian diplomats working in Guffingford at this time have been taught in no uncertain terms that they are equal to the men and women they work with in foreign nations, it is an important part of teaching our people respect for other nations laws and it is the very ideology which itself allows the Benevolent Dictatorship of Iuthia to fully respect the sovereign rights of other nations.

The fact that our people think in this manner and that you’re nation has banned such things requires that we confirm our standing on such laws in regards for foreign diplomats working in Guffingford as part of a diplomatic agreement (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=7009142&postcount=247). While we understand that extraterritoriality will protect some of our people, we feel it is necessary to have it written in writing that our people will not be apprehended for their Iuthian values…

We can assure you that all Iuthian diplomatic staff understands that they are not to attempt to pass their ideological views on to your people and that we respect Guffingford’s right to rule their own nation as they see fit as it is not our place to question such laws, even though we may disagree with them.

Either way we feel that this matter is important to the continued cooperation of our embassy staff, should we feel that Iuthian diplomats are threatened in any way we may have to withdraw them from Guffingford in a similar manner to the way we are currently pulling out of Hogsweat for their actions again you’re Embassy and others.

President Martin has viewed with some trepidation a copy of the speech given by yourself to the people of Guffingford forwarded by our Intelligence Services. As the leader of a fully democratic government and a nation priding itself in the creation and implementation of Human Rights, the President is worried by these blatant reductions of civil and human rights, as well as the apparent reduction in socialist political parties. Dear Signoli,

I thankyou for your reassuring words and must admit that you have given us almost no more reason for concern regarding this matter. It is comforting to know that our sovereignity is respected while working within Guffingford as we unsure because of the strong wording of the Civil Protection Act.

While I feel that most issues regarding the law have been laid to rest in your last e-mail, there are still a few small points I would like to cover to future reference. Our decision back home is that we are comfortable with these laws providing that they are not abused in order to trap Iuthian diplomats conducting legitimate business outside of the embassy.

Towards this end we are further training out staff to better adapt to the culture they work in during their stay; they will know better then to talk about home outside of the embassy and will make follow all guidelines handed out to them by your diplomatic corps.

In anycase my concern is not like our issues with the Hogsweatians, whom cannot be trusted enough to even respect the soviegn soil of an embassy, as we trust Guffingford to fully respect our embassy. It was more that our people are still Iuthians regardless of where they are at, their business requires some of them to work outside of the embassy in order to properly interact with Guffingford diplomats and while they are not on Iuthian soil they are subect to Guffingford law.

Our concern is that the latest laws may be hard for Iuthian staff to follow completely, such as the ban on certain ideologies. We expect that in these cases the fact that they are Iuthian diplomats will be respected and providing that our people do not actively attempt to force their values on others they should be exempt from laws banning their ideology.

Besides this I had little qualms with Guffingford's internal policy, it's little more then protecting our people while they work in foriegn lands.

OOC: Iuthia, there's little more to say between us, not in a negative way. I just don't really know how to reply on your post. Like I said earlier, we respect your embassy and nation in every possible way.

Furthermore, a small clarification on the racial issue in Guffingford is in place. In Guffingford all peoples are treated equal, because they are citizens of the Reich. All outsiders are deemed subhuman filth but when you have a Reichs passport you have 'redeemed' yourself.

The President stepped out into the Grey House Press Centre and stood behind a podium, behind which was hung the flag of The Republic, flapping softly in the breeze from several carefully-placed air-conditioners and fans.

The Republic is a democratic, freedom-loving country. It always has been, and it always will be. As such, we pity poor countries like Guffingford that have such arrogant and oppressive governments; governments that believe that anyone not of their own country and race is somehow inferior to the rest of them. Countries such as this do not know the true meaning of words such as Freedom, Liberty and Justice, only the pale and oppressive replicas created and force-fed to them by their oppressive government. These countries will never know the freedom of true Democracy, the accountability of government to the people, and the freedom of speech and movement

Iuthian Embassy (Interior)

Things were now settling down in the Iuthian Embassy, the meager packing which had been done in preparation for problems had now been replaced and people were breaking back into their routine.

Tensions were still a little high and the current orders coming from Iuthia were that of caution, the IDC was one of the more paranoid parts of Iuthia's government, but it was also one of the most important and powerful. The orders were in place to avoid any actions which may give the fascists a reason to start an international incident, something which they prefered to avoid for the time being.

While the majority of diplomats got on with their duties, Ambassador Kevin Andrews was being debreifed via satellite uplink communication with the Foriegn Minister of Iuthia, Mick Lakely. The uplink included video transmission and was heavily encrypted to the Iuthian Military standard, concidered extreemly hard to crack and more importantly, the two were speaking an old variation on Iuthian Battle Language, a long thought dead language privately taugh in the IDC.

"... and that is the current situation between our governments. As you are aware the people of Guffingford have given you room to beleive pretty much what you like so long as you don't attempt to pass it on to the locals. Of course, caution and disgression are advised but I'm sure I don't need to remind you of all people of that." Mick smirked, he was getting on to be in his early forties and had shown signed of grey hairs, while other countries may have covered this up, the man left it as it was commonly linked with wisdom. He prided himself on his fitness, like most Iuthian's so he was inshape despite his age.

"How about the fact they haven't entirely agreed that our workers are exempt from their ideolical ban, sir?" Kevin smiled a little himself at Micks previous comment, however he had a sombre appearance at this moment in time. These were serious days.

"At these early stages it seems that they are pleased with our attitudes and aren't looking to cause problems, of course your training will come in handy... though you will need to come back to Iuthia some time for some more treatments. In anycase that isn't the primary concern at this time... it seems you have made an impression in Guffingford, if only a small impression.."

"Obvicously not enough though, they either didn't understand your request due to ignorance, or worse they are looking to leave themselves room to use these laws against us... we'll need to be careful working out which."

"I can imagine, you've done well despite the problems we had with them. We'll have to see about a payrise, though you are already being paid danger-pay for your work here. Anyways, our main concern at the moment is this potential issue, it's important that we don't give them a chance to abuse these laws and peg our people with charges for what only they concider 'crimes'."

"Yes... though I'm fairly certain they will not want to pull something like that, they may not respect us entirely but the potential backlash should concern them." he already understood the concerns.

"Nah, they don't think like that, their arrogance will limit their judgement on such an issue. Personally I would rather they didn't get a chance to cause an incident trying to prove their superiority over our people."

"I fully understand, Sir."

"Yes, I'm sure you do. Don't give them that opportunity... we don't want an incident on our hands, it would be annoying to have to bring the NDA in on something like that. Make sure to take care on this one."

Kevin simply nodded... it was a tricky situation, but he secretly relished the opportunity. So far he was simply doing his job making sure that Iuthia's people were not just represented by his actions, but also by his example. This job was one of respect, to respect the culture his lived in was important to his line of work as someone would pick up on it if he wasn't actually respectful of the place deep down.

And he enjoyed it. He enjoyed the subtle way the Iuthian Diplomatic Corps conducted itself... respect and honor were important to the IDC, such virtues made their job easier. While the fascist nature of this nation would have detered others... he was attracted by the challenge of it all. He smiled inwardly, the conversation was pretty much over, the rest would just be pesky details.

Now he had something to look out for, for better or for worse. These people may not have concidered him equal, but that was their problem... deep down he knew they were made of the same stuff as he was and he didn't worry about their prejudice, they were taught in such a manner all their lives, it was an effective method of ruling though it had many down sides... no system was perfect. Eitherway, he wasn't discouraged.

OOC: To answer your OOC reply (though I would have prefered to avoid it) it wasn't simply a matter of us asking for your respect, your first reply covered that, though you had missed our point. It was a matter of covering our asses from your nation using the ban on certain ideologies to take Iuthian diplomats under custody for breaking the civil law.

“Well, because Iuthia wants to have a complete assurance I hereby issue this official statement about the civil rights of his embassy personnel. I can be very short and to the point about this: they enjoy the same rights as they do in Iuthia. I have signed a new law today, the Embassy Solidarity Act which means none of the Guffingfordii laws and regulations interfering with the personal life of humans apply on employees of a Corpse Diplomatiqué or any other form of diplomatic people. However, crimes like fraud, murder, embezzlement and such fall under Guffingfordii law but instead of punishment in a German prison, the person(s) in question are expelled immediately. In agreement with my cabinet, this law applies on all embassies, even Hogsweat’s.”

“Why on earth do we have an Iuthian embassy on our soil? For heaven’s sake, if anyone can make our life troublesome let it be Iuthia. We cannot afford any more of their interference.” Frwyhn was walking around in circles, nervously inhaling the smoke of his cigarette.
“Well Mr Frwyhn, Iuthia has many powerful connections and their nation is part of the NDA alliance – Non Democratic Alliance. Nations like Iraqstan, Treznor, Dread Lady… They are not the first morons from around the corner like Tocrowkia.”
“I know you fool! I guess we have to tolerate their presence here and just let them be whatever they want to be.”
“We can also proclaim Iuthia as part of the one of the pure races on the planet.”
“Possibly, but a political reason for us to like them is better. If the Führer’s citizens like them, we like them as well. I am sure they have no objections against us when we just follow the ‘live and let live’ policy.”
“Aye Mr Frwyhn, but we have to be cautious. As long as our stupendous laws do not target their citizens, Iuthia is happy.”
