It was a sunny morning in New Vyborg, the capital of Patriotic Finland. A black Mercedes Benz S stopped in front of the Congress Hall, an old large building built in the 1800's. It was similar to the real-life US Congress Hall, though it lacked the grass and the statue in front of it's real-life equivalent. Congressmen, their aides, lobbyists and other Congress employees were busily walking to their workplace from the subway station and car parking lots near the Congress Hall and also from their apartments nearby. The black car's right rear door opened and senator Erik Lundqvist, wearing a black suit and carrying a briefcase stepped out of the car.

"You can have a couple of hours off now. Come to get me when it's lunch time" he said to his driver and then closed the door. The car drove away. Lundqvist turned towards the Congress Hall and started walking towards it. He noticed about a dozen demonstrators about 40 meters from him standing on the stairs of the building, chanting some song unknown to him and waving small placards with text written on them. He walked past two congress aides talking something loudly, and passed some other people as well. Suddenly he heard a shout from behind him.

"Mr Lundqvist!" the voice said loudly. Lundqvist turned around and saw an arab man in his mid-twenties and wearing jeans and a black leather jacket, standing about five meters from him. The man stared at Lundqvist's eyes, and his eyes almost burned with anger and hatred.
"What do you want?" Lundqvist asked, getting concerned. But before he could even blink an eye, the arab man pulled out a 9 mm pistol from his breast pocket and aimed it at Lundqvist. "Death to infidels!" the man shouted, pulled the trigger, and Lundqvists saw two muzzle flashes at short intervals before he felt the bullets hit his stomach. He looked down and saw two bleeding gunshot wounds in his stomach. He pressed his left hand against his stomach, and fell to the ground on his back, slowly but steadily bleeding.

Ahmed Daoud felt his heart beating and adrenaline flowing through his veins. He stood and looked at the body of Erik Lundqvist, lying on the ground with blood steadily bleeding from the gunshot wounds. It had been done. There was no way of coming back now, Daoud thought. Lundqvist had deserved it. He had insulted Daoud's people and religion. Infidels like him deserved to die, he thought. Just as he was about to put his 9 mm pistol back to his breast pocket, he felt someone grabbing him from his weapon hand and reaching for his gun. Daoud reacted immediately and hit the man on his left side with his elbow. When he looked at his left side he saw a young man, wearing a grey suit, on the ground with his nose bleeding.

Daoud heard a car stopping in front of the Congress Hall, looked towards the street and saw a blue Peugeot 206 about 20 meters away from him near the street. That was his arranged getaway. Daoud ran towards it, yelling:"Out of my way! Move!" and waving his gun in the air. He heard people screaming and running away in panic. Suddenly he noticed a police officer running across the street. Daoud knew that the policeman had heard the shots, and aimed his gun at him.

"Don't move! Hands up now!" the officer, now on Daoud's side of the street, shouted as he pulled out his Glock from his holster. Without blinking an eye, Daoud, aiming at the officer's legs, fired his gun at him. With a lucky shot he hit the officer twice at his left leg, and he fell to the ground screaming in agony. "Get in, damn it!" the man inside the Peugeot shouted to Daoud. Daoud quickly ran to the car, opened the door and climbed inside. Then the car drove away quickly.

"Patriotic Federalist Party senator Erik Lundqvist was shot to death today outside the Congress Hall by what several eye witnesses described to be a young arab male. According to eye witnesses, the man confronted Lundqvist, who was going to work, in front of the Congress Hall. He pulled out his gun and screaming "Death to Infidels!" shot Lundqvist twice to his stomach with a 9mm pistol. After that, the man assaulted a 28-year old man who is working as an aide to senator Pekka Lampinen (SDP), who apparently tried to wrestle the gun from the man. After that, the criminal shot a police officer twice to the leg before he fled the scene in a blue Peugeot 206, that drove to the scene shortly after the shots had been fired.

Police is now searching the downtown of New Vyborg for the suspects, and police officers have been mobilized in road blocks and search patrols to find the criminals. Any information regarding the suspects should be forwarded to VEP (Valtion Erikoispoliisi, or State Special Police) or New Vyborg Police Department (NVPD). Senator Lundqvist, who died on his way to the hospital, was known for his anti-islam and anti-immigration politics, and many of his comments regarding islam have caused a lot of controversy and debate. Police has not yet commented about the possible motives of the murder.

The citywide hunt for the assassin of senator Erik Lundqvist (PFP) has taken a dramatic turn as the suspected assassin and his getaway driver seized control of a commuter bus and took it's passengers hostage just a few minutes ago in New Vyborg. The hijackers released a 70-year old couple and a pregnant woman who were on the bus, but are still holding 32 people as hostages, including 6 children. According to NVPD press spokesman captain Pekka Almu the hijackers' blue Peugeot 206 was being pursued by several NVPD squad cars, while it suddenly pulled over to a bus stop in Urhonkatu, or Urho Street in english. A bus driving the municipal line 47 happened to be on the bus stop and the hijackers stormed in, taking the passengers hostage.

Police has surrounded the bus and the area 200 meters from the bus has been sealed off from any unauthorized personnel. According to captain Almu, VEP's special hostage rescue team Erikoisiskuryhmä 15(Special Task Force 15)
is currently on its way to the scene. The passengers released by the hijackers have told the authorities that one of the hijackers, apparently the getaway driver, was brandishing a 9mm Uzi-submachine gun and that both had hand grenades with them. Police is attempting to establish contact with the hijackers, and more information is expected by tomorrow.
