ViZion's Supreme Court has officially shut down a radical Nazi radio station, called NWSN, or Nazi White Supremacy Network, due to the fact that the Nazi radio station has been found to have organized over six fatal attacks upon non-white students in high school and college totalling 39 deaths and 102 injured.
It has also been found that they were in the process of trying to organize a coup to overthrow ViZion's current government and replace it with an extreme Nazi/white supremacist dictatorship.
Fourteen have been jailed after being found guilty of several counts of murder, and another three for acts of treason, trying to organize a coup.
Of the seventeen, all three charged with treason as well as twelve of those found guilty of murder are being prepared for public flogging to death.

"And you call yourself member of the Coalition Forces Alliance? You are a disgrace to your own alliance, which prides itself in wiping out all forums of injustice and genocide. A quite laughable objective, since you seem to enjoy the latter. But a apropos, this is a limitation of freedom of speech, something a 'democratic' nation like you claim to be cannot tolerate can you? Because we see this as a deliberate act of intolerance against a legitimate political group whose ties to the school shooting haven't been proven beyond any reasonable doubt, the Social Nationalist administration will file a complainment to the CFA department who's task is to handle such abuse of basic human rights."

IC:
I am sorry, but since when can a nation not execute those who commit treason or murder not be executed? There is a difference between executing 15 people for the murdered of 39 people and planning a massive coup, and committing genocide targetting various religious, ethnic, nationalities, et al groups. Unfortunately you seem to not see the difference.
File a complaint with the CFA if you will, but I am sure any sane nation will see a clear difference.

We salute you for this great step in the fight against forces of hatred and extremism. As you may know, our government has recently taken similar steps to remove these dangerous and antisocial groups from our society, and we are planning to extend these procedures soon. We also hope that other nations take similar actions.

Though the Republic in no way supports the actions of extremeist radical groups from any part of the political spectrum, as a democratic country we are outraged by these excessive and violent actions by your government, and do not see how such executions can serve to usefully extend the cause for Democracy in your country. As such The Republic sides with the Nationalist Socialist government of Guffingford in condeming these actions.
OOC: I make my 'executions' look like accidents...I mean, It's not an execution if a plane full of dangerous criminals crashes and burns, is it? Statement from the Godulan Terran Affairs Headquarters (in ViZion, no less!)
The Godulans have had their own share of... Difficulties with Nazis in the past. Twice actually. They tried to launch a Coup against Grand Archon Cassius Longarm himself, which ended badly for them, and then again on one of the other Archons, which also ended badly.
In light of the circumstances provided in your statement, the Archonate feels that the retributive actions taken against the Nazis found guilty of Murder and/or Treason were just and proper.
Furthermore, in light of ViZion's present troubles with the National Socialists, we are prepared to offer a hearty 'donation' of non-intrusive surveillance equipment so as to prevent further incidents within the ViZion education system.
Thank you for your time, and we await further communication.

We do feel that this is correct punishment for killing STUDENTS in high school and college just due to their skin not being the right color. KILLING over thirty students, injuring over 100. They were not just beatings; weapons were used to kill these young people, ages 16 to 23. We do not take lightly to such actions by anyone, particularly by adults.
The pain, greef, and the fear that they have caused other students, their friends, their family, and indeed their community and schools are more than skin deep. They are deep into the minds, souls, and hearts of these people. This is indeed a far consequence.
As for those conspiring to commit treason, we will be saving thousands, millions of lives even, by stopping those who wish to cause an uprising against our government and people. We cannot allow such people to try to cause a military uprising that would kill our people and put into power a dictatorship regime that will, no doubt, become genocidal, seeing their actions against students just due to their skin color.
We understand your nations feelings, however we urge you to look at the larger picture here.

Seventeen individuals, variously convicted of treason and murder, face death by flogging as punishment for attempting a coup, as well as the brutal murders of a number of school students.
M.P.'s, while agreeing that these people are criminals, are up in arms as they arrive for today's Parliamentary session, criticising the punishments as "cruel and excessive".

Such punishment is extremely rare, even in cases similar to this. However, when they brutally attack and kill 16 year olds, and are trying to build up enough power and following to begin a coup attempt to take over our country, we feel it is necessary to take such actions. Please do try to avoid such things in the future. The people of Krioval would normally look up to ViZion as a bastion of decency and benevolence, but their perceptions have been shaken to their very foundations. Rarity doesn't enter into it; the fact you use such punishments at all disturbs us.
Here, the sentence of flogging to death was abolished in the 19th Century as "too cruel".
While we shall not comment on the necessity of the executions themselves (as they probably were justified), surely there was another way, equally as "effective", but not straight out of the Dark Ages?
We strongly urge you to abolish this punishment. Even Farmina has changed its stance to ban this sort of thing as a sentence. It is rather unsettling to see that nation ahead of yours in "humanitarian" implementations of the death penalty.
However we are satisfied that you will not make this sort of thing common practice. Only those nations who, as Representative Kim Vaknor put it, play "Happy Tree Friends" with live people enact these punishments on a regular basis.

=========================
"The ViZioner Ambassador to Macisikan!" The Protocol Officer announced, as another ushered the Ambassador into the House of Lords.
As he walked in, the Ambassador surveyed the chamber; Vera Tredyen, the Deputy Head of the House, was presiding; she was talking to a Hansard officer about something, glancing up long enough to wave him forward.
Down at the central table only a few Junior Ministers were present; the most senior was the Deputy Minister of The Interior. None of them were paying any attention to him.
The House itself was not completely full; and as his eyes roved he noted that most M.P.'s present were the mellow, soft, quiet sort, the moderates. The mood of the Chamber was relaxed, not conforontational.
Then he saw her.
Lady Marie Neskhan deIntan, Duchess of Intan, Lady Chief Justice of the Council of Lords, and the Highest of the Lords Judicial. She was seated on his right, towards the rear of the chamber, with the other Lords Judicial. Some had said that the only difference between Lady deIntan and a crocodile was that the crocodile will try to kill you first.
She saw him pause for an instant and smiled; it didn't reach her eyes, which remained cold and hard. The smile of a predator.
Tredyen looked up.
"The Chamber welcomes the Ambassador from ViZion and thanks him for taking the time to meet with us on this day..."
--------
Two hours later, the Ambassador walked into the large panelled chamber near the House of Representatives, thanking every God he knew of that this appointment had come so soon after the last, cutting the last short. Most of the Lords had been kind and courteous, asking questions only to clear up facts muddied by the media. But when they had finished, deIntan began a half-hour long inquisition, under the protection of Parliamentary privilege. She hadn't been as severe as she could have been, but the Ambassador knew he'd dream about it tonight...
He felt just like a kid who'd been caught by his grandmother pinching sweets from the jar. And it had only been a half hour.
Now for Round Two.
"This Select Committee on Human Rights in The International Arena would like to thank you for your time..."
---------
Four hours after that, the Ambassador waited patiently in an antechamber in the Palace. The Select Committee had been relentless in their questioning, but not cutting, merely curious. Unlike the Lords, who had asked about the latest incident, the Committee had delved into ViZion's past, going back centuries, searching for precedents.
Many times the Ambassador found himself pleading off with "I'm sorry, but I cannot answer that question..." either because of security (in a few cases) or simple lack of historical knowledge. When he did that the members nodded and moved on, accepting the answer. He knew that they could simply called a historian, but they were after the government line.
The doors suddenly opened, breaking his chain of thought; a herald stood just inside and beckoned him forward.
"The Ambassador from ViZion to Macisikan. Ambassador [smith], His Imperial Royal Majesty, the King-Emperor Constantine Augustus. Come forward, and be heard."
Taking a breath the Ambassador advanced into the room; it was not a large chamber, the size of a large office, with a large wooden desk and two padded chairs set in the middle, one considerably richer than the other. They were illuminated from above by two lights; a pot of tea and a single mug sat in the middle of the table.
Out of the shadows stepped a young man of average height, in an elegantly tailored suit, with straight, dark, auburn hair that was brushed away from his ivory face, and eyes the colour of emeralds.
Next to the youth stood a suited older man that the Ambassador had only seen a few times; tall, gaunt, hair the colour of gunmetal and a face carved from granite.
For a second no-one breathed.
The Ambassador bowed from the waist.
"Your Majesty."
"Ambassador," the youth acknowledged, coldly. "Please, rise," he added, moving to sit in the more ornate chair, not deigning to give the Ambassador permission to sit.
In that instant the Ambassador knew; this was not going to be pleasant.
"Ambassador, perhaps you would care to explain to me when your government decided that the sacred right to protection from cruel and unusual punishment was an optional extra?"
An hour and a half later the Ambassador was dismissed. He hadn't succeeded in placating the young King-Emperor; he'd spent most of his time fending off the older man, the Lord Chancellor, who had attacked the decisions of the ViZioner government relentlessly, usually using the word "hypocrisy", with the King-Emperor interjecting with the occasional sarcastic, biting, question.
The Ambassador walked out the chamber feeling wrung out; halfway through the First Minister had walked in, and had stood behind the King-Emperor, glowering like a harpy on a cliff. She hadn't said anything; the stare was enough.
His briefers had been good; they'd coached him well. But being the focus of three diamond-drill glares made him feel like an ant underneath a magnifying glass.
At one point he'd tried to reassure them that ViZion remained steadfast to their human rights commitment; that earned a blank look from the three of them. The King-Emperor then asked if he normally made "such jokes in these situations?", before the Lord Chancellor had informed him in frosty terms that "seeing is believing."
On the bright side he had managed to talk the King-Emperor out of attacking the matter in open Parliament, which had saved ViZion's standing from long-term damage.
But overall, it had not been a good day.

The ViZioner Ambassador appeared before the House of Lords, the House of Representatives Select Committee on Human Rights, and His Imperial Majesty, today, in response to the flogging to death of several criminals by the ViZioner government today.
In the Lords Justice deIntan grilled the Ambassador for half an hour, demanding to know how a nation of ViZion's standing could allow such a "barbaric and backward" practice to survive into this century. deIntan, the leading Judge in the Empire, said that she hoped that the ViZioner leadership would take the necessary steps to abolish such punishments, and that "it is a poor reflection on their character if they do not".
The House of Representatives Select Committee on Human Rights questioned the Ambassador over ViZion's human rights record. We were told that the Committee was searching for "acceptable precedents". A spokesman for the HRSCHR also said that further investigation was "not needed at this stage in time".
A Court of Light Spokesman said that the discussion between the Ambassador and His Imperial Majesty was "a frank and informal exchange of views", and called the discussions "fruitful".
Analysts agree that the matter has delayed any further positive developments in Macisikani-ViZioner relationships by at least ten years.

Parthia will always support the right of nations to execute whomever they desire, I personally am considered one of the champion states of national sovereinty. However, I reccomend, that if you wish to be known as a true, free, democracy, that you allow even extreme groups to speak. We ourselves make no pretense to cover the fact we hold no elections and have no politics of the masses, but we are a different sort of society.

We go by strict rules. We will not act upon an organization unless it attacks our citizens, or attempts to overthrow our government in a coup or civil war.
These people are both murderers as well as rebels attempting to overthrow our government. We do not take action against organizations if they do not commit these crimes, even if they spread hate messages, as we are not at liberty to cut down free speech.
It is once words become actions that we are required to act to defend our people.
