"Pushkan Committe of Military Interests in Space, cooperating with Pushkan department of Space Exploration has issued a public statement concerning the launch of new satelite protection monitors"

Kiril Ostapov spokesman of Pushkan Committee of Military interests in Space:
It has been decided to launch a series of specially designed objects, which we call monitors, into space, in order to secure our passive and military satelites. Each one of you in this room was given a folder describing how a Satelite Defense Monitor or SDM will work, i ask you to please look at them at this time.

"Everyone in the room (mostly reporters) opened up the yellow paper folders and looked at the contents. Flipping through the pages everyone stopped on the third page, a summarized description could be seen there. This is what it read."

Satelite Defense Monitor (SDM)
Objective: Defence of Satelites against the enemy anti-satelite missiles
Shape: A cubic shape with uneven surface and rods, .5 meters in diameter each sticking out from the opposite sides.
Size: Each side is 23 meters long
Weight: 50 tons fully loaded, 12 tons unloaded
Missile: PRR-346, Manufactured by Androsov's Missile Manufacturing Factory.
Principle of functioning: The two rods sticking out are the ultrapowerful signal receivers, and transmitters their ends connect two a spherical CPU of the monitor in the core of the SDM. The rods sweep the area with their signal output, detecting any object that interferes with the signal's path. Time it takes to complete a singal sweep is 2.5 minutes. After an object (enemy anti-satelite missile) is detected, SDM's CPU establishes a lock, one of the bays opens and a PRR-346 missile is released targeting the enemy object. SDM recognizes Pushkan missiles as passive because of the special signal they omit. A singel monitor carries 124599 PRR-346 missiles.

"On the next page was the description of the missile itself"

Protivo Rocketnaia Rocketa (Anti-Missile Missile)- PRR
Objective: To destroy enemy anti-satelite missiles
Shape: MIddle section is wingless, specially designed tail features 4 wings
Size: 45 centimeters in length, middle section is 20 centimeters in width
Weight: 7 killograms
Description: Each missile contains 5 killograms of TNT, enough to blow up an enemy anti-satelite missile. PRR is launched by the airpressude from a specially deisgned tube in SDM. It is then carried by innertia in the direction of the enemy missile. SDM has launching bays on every side to maximize the effect.

"Everyone turned back to the spokesman"

Spokesman: First launch is scheduled for the middle of next month, by the end of the year we are planning to have every Pushkan satelite protected.
