GINN Report

After due consultation with personal advisors, Emperor Antonius I, wise and gracious leader of the Empire, has decided to permanently disband the Imperial Parliament, which has been operating in a suspension of session for nearly three years since the outbreak of the Buchianan secession war.

The Emperor has long been urged by his nephew and advisor Lord Varus Tiberius Alexei, to put an end to the Imperial parliamentary body and make extensive revisions to the Imperial constitution, as drafted by Antonius, to allow for more control over matters best left to the Emperor.

Emperor Antonius has made it clear that all former members of the Imperial congress and their families will be provided for for the remainder of their lives by way of an annual stipend of 700,000 Genera, a sum that should allow them to reside in comfort.

The Emperor has stated that he believes this decision to be in the best interests of the Empire and her allies, in a period where so many great and ancient houses seem to be falling into disarray at the hands of democratic movements and military coup d'etats.

Lord Varus has been reported as referring to the parliamentary articles of the Imperial Constitution as outdated and counterproductive to Imperial policy.

We of Farmina support, although perhaps not agree with these actions.

We also request to borrow the Generic Empire's military to help crush the communist threat.

Official Statement of the Imperial Union of Napoleonic Empire
We have made a transition from being the Imperial Union that was established by Emperor Elect Charles Louis Napoleon Bonaparte the I, or also known as Jean-Armand Lamarr, to now the Second Enlightenement based on the radical ideas of the short lived Emperor Joeseph Napoleon Claude Bonaparte the I, or Falastur DuBlanc as was his birth name, and of course of such new movements beginning with the Enlightnement, that I now take the seat.

With a new dedication to both state, but also the strenght of the Republic, we wish to comment that we do not condone nor condemn the actions. This is a matter of state sovereignity, to violate it would be hypocritical, but even further, we wish to note that the Parliament makes the nation stronger because of broader scope of the way the Republic is represented in both individual freedom and also centralized power.

The Republic wishes also to state that we urge Generia to establish broader executive power in its solidified state. These suggestions can be made in more detail at request.

For state, and truth,
L'empereur Élisent Raphaele D'Locke

The Republic of Verghastinsel is somewhat concerned with these events, given past Generian foreign policy, but recognises Generian Law, which effectively says that the Emperor can do whatever he damn well likes.

You still had a parliament?

-Emperor Helldawg V

We used to as well, from 1906-1959 we had a parliament which tried to curtail abuses of the Shah, but my father Ardeshir abolished it and had all the members hanged, then hanged all people who protested.

An unfortunate and unnecessary step away from civility, and an unfortunate decision for the people of Generia.

I applaud this wise, sensible policy. Parliaments are a big waste of everyone's time, especially yours. Your decision was the correct one.

Freudotopia rejoices in this wise and just decision by our dear friend and ally Antonius. We wish for the Generic Empire's good fortune to continue, and we know that this abolition of such an outdated system only adds to the greatness of our Generian friends.
