A most interesting commercial about DentiFresh toothpaste fades from the television screen, the slogan "Only 2 out of 5 dentists recommends it, but who cares what they think?" fading from memory as the scene slowly shifts to that of a news studio. The trumpet theme for CNN plays as the camera pans around from the roof before fading again to directly in front of the anchor. A comely blonde woman, late to mid-20's, looks up from shuffling the papers on her desk and offers a coy yet professional smile to the camera. The theme fades, and the woman begins to speak. All this takes a mere five seconds.
"Good evening, I'm Alexis Wrently," she addressed the camera, "Earlier today the nation of Mondoth seized and nationalized a Resian oil refinery within their nation in an attempt to gain a barganing position with the Resi Corporation. ResiCorp, which offered token support for the nation of Farmina in order to repulse the nations of Hogsweat and Random Kingdom who were warring with Farmina, met with disfavor from the nation of Mondoth who was also warring with Farmina. Mondoth then kindly asked ResiCorp to rescind the benefits it had extended to Farmina. When the Corporation refused, and instead offered Mondoth the same benefits to preserve good relations, Mondoth nationalized the refinery the Resi Corporation had installed some years earlier within their nation and demanded that ResiCorp also withdraw the bet (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=409264) they were running on the winner of the war. The Resi Corporation has taken the oil refinery incident as an invasion of sovreign soil, but all measures are being taken by both sides to prevent escalation of this incident into all-out war.
