The Great Escape (Attn: TME, Roach-Busters, Cadillac-Gage, and Muktar)

With the massive Aliados army just outside the Nellisland capital city of Libertad, there was no other chose but to flee. Against President Nellis's wishes we was leaving country, apparently to the friendly nation of Cadillac-Gage. There appeared to be no place else to go. Nellisland's greatest allies had betrayed them. The Massive Ethiopians and Third Jerusalem combining there forces to create the mighty Aliados. Muktar promising troops but never sending them.

President Nellis was sitting in his office packing up his valuables:

A picture of him on his inaugural day

His College Degree in Law

A picture of his father

His medals from his time spent in the army

and...

A picture of his Vice President and sister, Joanne, who had been brutally killed during this conflict. She was kidnapped, cut, raped, and killed. All because he wouldn't surrender to the Aliados forces. Upon seeing this photo he broke into tears.

Outside the office, President Nellis's most trusted aide, Francis, heard his tears and came in to see him:

"Sir...are you okay?"

"I...I am...I don't know. I can't get over my sisters death. It is all my fault."

"Snap out of it. It's the fault of the people who did it. She didn't die because of you; she died because evil men killed her. Now we need to leave soon."

"You...your right. But I still have to carry the burden. Plus, I have lost my nation. My military betrayed me. My allies betrayed me. And the worst is that I am fleeing from the conflict. How can I live with myself?"

"Sir! You have to flee, otherwise you will be killed. You will retake this nation again I promise. Now I have to go finish up some stuff. Get done packing and agent Sean will take you to the helicopter."

"Okay. Bye."

Knowing that he was falling apart, President Nellis composed his thoughts and finished packing his things. But his mind drifting away:

It happened so fast. The Massive Ethiopians and Third Jerusalem giving there nations to that Arterski fellow, creating Aliados. The people embraced him and he made his first decree. That Nellisland was to be annexed. I wasn't worried then. Our army was better equipped...out numbered...but better equipped. But my army rebelled. Almost three million of my own troops pledged loyalty to Aliados. I still thought we had a chance when Muktar promised troops, but alas they never came. I wouldn't be surprised if they were in on it. It was all so fast...so horrible...my sister. I can not believe how terrible it all had been. I just expect to wake up and learn that none of this has happened!

Nellis finished his thoughts and his packing and let out a large:

"Fuck!"

Francis and agent Sean came back into the room:

"It is time to go...come on."

Francis, agent Sean, and a very pissed off President Nellis headed toward the helicopter. There destination: Cadillac-Gage.

OOC: I am sorry about the other thread. My roommate(TME) was using my computer and he was still logged in when I went to post this and I didn't see it. Sorry.

President Nellis didn't feel any better by the time he made it to his limo. His stomach was twisting and turning. He wanted to throw up. But deep down he knew that this was the right thing to do. Fleeing was something he thought he would never do.

President Nellis let out a sigh:

"Did we order the state of emergency like I asked?" said Nellis.

"Yes we did sir. We have also reopened flights so that as many people can get out of the country as possible. The flights are free so that everyone can get out. But it sounds like not many people are fleeing." said Francis

"Okay. At least they have the option. How far until we get to the helipad?"

Our E.T.A. is about fifteen minutes, but there is a pro-Aliados army about three miles up the road. So that might slow us down."

"Does the public know that I am leaving the country?"

"Yes, but they do not know to where. We won't have to worry about that. The rally though has been pushed to the sidewalks, but that doesn't mean it won't get violent. This limo doesn't have bullet proof glass on it."
"Why doesn't it? That is weird why?"

"The others are getting repairs sir. But we will be fine I am sure."

"Okay. I am confident. Am I going to give a statement before I get on the helicopter?"

"Yes the media will be there. Do not reveal where you are going. We are coming up to the rally now."

"Okay."

President Nellis looked the window in shock. Thousands of people were standing on the streets yelling at him. These people...his people...were protesting him.

In the plethora of people who had gathered for the pro-Aliados rally stood four men who had been sent by Aliados.

Khayri Naseer, Dmitriy Diya, Mikula Khayyam, and Grigori Jamal had been given orders from President Arterski himself.

*Flashback*

Arterski: I brought you all here because you are the best at what you do. You four are the best of best when it comes to assassinations in Aliados. I have a very special mission for you."

Naseer: And what would this mission be my lord. Needless to say that I would do anything for you."

Diya: As would I sir.

Arterski: That is very good to hear. Your mission is to kill Nellisland President Michael William Nellis.

Khayyam: What the...are you serious...This is big. I like big. I am so in."

Naseer: I like.

Jamal: How much. Are you supplying the means to do this?

Arterski: I will pay you each one million if and only if you successfully assassinate Nellis before he leaves Nellisland. If you fail then you will get no money. Are we agreed?"

Khayyam: Do you care how we do it.

Arterski: No I just want you to do it before he leaves the nation. Got it!

*Flashback Over*

The men watched as the limo pulled into the rally. They only had a short time to kill him. There was a problem though. The windows were tinted and they couldn't see which one was President Nellis.

Khayyam's job was to distract the driver by chucking a large rock at the window. Hopefully causing him to at least slow down.

Naseer was stationed on the roof of a near by building. He was equipped with a sniper rifle and was supposed to kill Nellis if he made a run for it.

Jamal and Diya were going to do the real work. Jamal was stationed to the right of car and would fire into the window were it passed. Diya was to do the same, but from the opposite side.

They thought there plan was fool proof.

Cadillac Gage uses the WH-13 Lynx helicopter for most 'utility' and military missions.
It's also a dandy bird for going from the airport, to the small embassy maintained by that nation.

Today, the Embassy helipad was busy- choppers in full CGAF markings flying between the small pad on the grounds, and the International Airport, carrying those seeking asylum. So far, the Alaidos military chose to observe international custom and traditions by not firing on the craft of neutrals, provided said neutrals remained on easily observable corridors.

"Ma'am, we're getting pinged by that SAM battery." Crewchief Lars Milssen commented.

CWO Sarah Hunter nodded, and gestured at the 'squawker, "As long as they aren't TVM, we're okay. I don't think Arterski wants to make an international incident just to bag half a dozen scared private citizens, and I figure he knows we're not hauling anybody important enough to waste a half-million dollar missile to get-I mean, they gotta have good intel, they got half the locals to desert to their side, right?"

the Crewchief looked uncertain, but nodded. "Buck up, Sargeant, you're scaring the customers." Hunter added.

Below them, headed toward the International Airport, was a motorcade, and crowds mobbed the sides of the street, waving Alaidos flags and chanting loudly enough that it almost penetrated the helo's own rotor noise.

"Looks like someone important." Lars commented. they passed over a man on a rooftop.
"Shooter." Lars observed.

"Haircut?" Hunter asked.

Lars shrugged, "Give the kids in the back a thrill? maybe start a war we can't win... On the other hand, if you radio we're having nav-trouble because someone's SAM radar's jamming our transponders..."

Hunter grinned, and keyed the air-traffic-control frequency, multiplexing it into the "General Broadcast"-leaving the X-band reciever screeching in the background.

"ATC, this is Whiskey Helo Charlie-Golf 213, I'm going to have to drop down and read some street signs, some jackass is frying my transponder with his Radar, over."

[ooc note: the Westland Lynx has been reliably clocked at 325mph-which is about three times what a UH-1 runs, or a hair quicker than the UH-60 blackhawk. The WH-13 is the "Army" model, it uses skids instead of wheels. both models have four-bladed rotors and can slice through trees up to three inches in diameter (rated) without damage. A human body in heavy clothing has about the same resistance as a two-inch branch.
A "Haircut" means a very, very, close pass. "Giving him a Haircut" generally involves flying close enough that your rotor blades will contact some portion of your target-usually the upper body or head region, if they don't make like a snake and lay down.
This is not even an unlawful move-the hitter's not in uniform, making him an unlawful Combatant and therefore fair game for anyone-as he is bearing arms... of course, he can always do the smart thing, and lay flat...]

OOC: Okay. That takes care of the shooter on the roof. So let me see what I can do with these other guys.

The clock struck 11:00 when the assassination plot was to take shape.

Khayyam looked at his watch and new that it was time for the plot to take shape. He grabbed the rock that he had placed into his pocket. Sweat rolled down his face. This job would put him on the map. He waited until the timing was just right and reached his arm back, but a bystander, who was getting a little feisty, bumped Khayyam and he dropped the rock.

Further up the street, Diya saw that Khayyam had dropped the rock and tried to contact Naseer.

"Naseer! Naseer! Can you hear me man? Khayyam dropped the rock! Fire away at the car."

Unfortunately Nasser could not hear him because of the helicopter noise.

Diya was able to get a hold of Jamal and told him to open fire on the limo.

Diya and Jamal began to open fire at the limo. The crowd went crazy and began to riot in every direction. Causing the limo to slow down considerably.

Diya missed all of his shots, but Jamal shot Francis in the arm.

Realizing that they had failed Diya and Khayyam ran away from the scene. Leaving Jamal all alone.

Jamal wanted the money and Nellis dead. So he reloaded his weapon and ran towards the car. He opened the door and was about to shot when Agent Sean shot him in the head four time. Jamal was dead.

Naseer, distracted by the helicopter, missed the entire ordeal. But he looked back in time to see Jamal fall to the ground. Agent Sean got out of the car and began to look around. Naseer took aim and...

OOC: All yours Cadillac-Gage.

"Well, look at that-his parents must be so proud-he ducked." Lars commented, as the helo lifted away from the building. The Motorcade had already passed this particular danger. "Rioting." Hunter commented. there were murmurs from the rear of the bird.
"Well, that's what they have cops for- let's get these kiddies to the freedom bird and go get the next load." Hunter observed.

Lars nodded, and they moved on.

Cadillac Gage Embassy, Nellisland...

"Um... I think word's out." Ensign Steven Wall reported. Ambassador Sherrie Helmar nodded, "Figured it would... I'm still waiting on instructions from the Department on whether we're staying. The President just about had kittens when he found out that our allies were beating the living tar out of each other-at least they kicked it off before we had embassies in TME and Third Jerusalem, so if we don't get ourselves kicked out...or get pulled back by the Prez, we're going to have three times the workload dealing with Aliados as we would've had."

The Ensign nodded, "What about the Asylum deal? Won't that kind of sour things?"

Ambassador Helmer shrugged, "Maybe, maybe not-it depends on whether Arterski wants to make a big deal out of it. We stayed neutral in this war, and so far, he's kept up at least a pretense of being civilized-we shouldn't have much to worry about-his 'restoring the glories of Alaidos' line will look pretty hollow if he starts acting in public like a tinhorn third-worlder."

Ensign Wall looked skeptically. "Ma'am, hasn't he kind of neglected to return your calls?"

Helmer sighed, "He has-but then, up to the point where the Nellislanders actually formally surrender, we're a third-party embassy in a foreign land. after that, we're either an unaccredited occupier, or we're a minor embassy of a foreign state located in a Province-either way, we're probably too minor to bother with in his hour of triumph. Once word gets out in the press-that we're handing out asylum and free-airline-tickets out of the country, he'll probably send a terse note, at which time, We'll probably have to slow-down or stop the Freedom Birds out, then, I'll probably get to talk to one of his many minor diplomats, we'll renegotiate the treaty, and the mobs knocking the fences down will go away." She finished a document, and hit 'send', before adding, "Either that, or he'll give us twenty-four hours to unass from this address, before he comes in to forcibly and with extreme cement overshoes, evict our untanned asses. That's the way the 'big people' play it-it's easier than trying to cover something up."

OOC: I am going to make a thread where Arterski returns your call. I may or may not remain civil. Depends on my mood.

With the others either dead or fled, Naseer was all alone. He had his chance to kill Nellis, but that damn helicopter got way to close. But the question was, "Was it an accident or not?" Naseer opted to call Arterski and report the failure. He prayed to god that he won't have him killed:

Bring...Bring....Bring....

Arterski: "Hello welcome to Aliados. This is the President, how may I take your call."

Naseer: "Ummm...hello?

Arterski: "Hey Naseer. I was just playing man. Calm down. So I hear you failed me. Is this true?"

Naseer: "What...how did you..."

Arterski: "It is all over the news Naseer. You promised me that you wouldn't fail. How did this happen?"

Naseer: "A helicopter from the Cadillac-Gage embassy flew too close and I had to duck to not die. I do not know where the others are."

Arterski: "I have already taken care of your friends."

Naseer: " Are you going to kill me? Please...I have children...a wife...and a dog name Joe. Please."

Arterski: "No. I am not going to kill you. But I want you to get on one of those refugee copters and trail Nellis. Don't kill him right away. I have a plan. We will be in contact."

Naseer: "Yes sir."

They hung up and Naseer headed towards the nearest helipad. He was flying to Cadillac-Gage.

Of course, getting onto one of the out-flights isn't as easy as just toddling off to the nearest heliport. the CG's were only taking men if they came with families attatched, and only if said family members insisted beyond reasonable means.
The chauvenist bastards were NOT giving seats to unaccompanied males over the age of about eleven.

If Nasseer were an unaccompanied child, he'd have it made. As an adult Male (or near enough to 'count' as one), getting on the refugee flights...well... No.

he would need-according to the rather humourless guard, two or more children and a wife, before he would see a flight before next thursday.
