Cain Gaiscioch looked over the list of students to join his school this year, and it seemed to be unusually short. ‘Only 29 students? Damn, one short. I’m gonna have to do some serious searching.’ He sat there musing over the thought of what to do, and started to reach for the phone. Suddenly his intercom came to life.

“Sir there is a Mr. Ivalice Renault from Exrenia, to see you.”

“Send him in.” Cain said, pulling papers over the indents on the table where he had been jabbing a knife between his fingers.

Adair Monroe went into his little office, and looked at his box. Today their was a letter in their, ’unusual’ he thought. He picked it up and pulled out his knife, when Carlin, his bobcat, jumped on the desk.

“good to see you too,” he said, scratching him between the ears, and getting a growl in response. He commenced to open the letter and read it.

Adair, for this upcoming class your going to have an apprentice. His name is Alex Rossi, and he was at a different school, and now needs his secondary training. He has an animal, a Siberian Husky named Sashenka. You are to train him and let him take control when you feel he is ready. He is needing transportation from his current location in Madra city. He is at the Seanchai pub.

‘Dammit, gotta have a little tyke following me around, their crimping me here’ he thought, crumpling the letter, and throwing it in the trash bin. He stood up and headed for his beat up old Volkswagen Bus.

Cedric McCain glanced at the piece of paper in his hand. He noticed something peculiar about this list, unlike the other ones. This one only had had 29 names on the list. Now two strange things about this, he thought, It has an unusually small number of people on it, and it has an odd number of students. Well, I sure hop for the odd man out that they find someone to be his partner for the final. He walked into his squads bay, at the base near the school named Carraig. When he entered the bay he glanced at the clock, it read midnight.

“LET’S GO PEOPLE! Drop your cocks and grab your socks!” he yelled, waking the three men in there up. “We got school duty, and you all know what that means. You have 15 minutes to get your shit together and meet at the vehicles out front.”

He went to the front and pulled the Hummer around behind the transport truck and waited for the others to come. While he waited he glanced over the list. He scanned it for the names that would be in bold. The names he drew from the list were: Jared D'uger, Dmitri Arysev, Hayate Amakusa, Jurin Midori, Jessi Woods, Tommy Larssen, and Jack Doe. When the other members of his squad entered the two vehicles he started his up and headed for Jared’s residence.

When they got to the house Cedrick and another soldier exited the vehicle leaving the other two in the transport truck. They walked up to the door and skillfully picked the lock, opening the door. Cedrick pulled his FNP-90 out and headed the way with that. He quietly stepped up the stairs and started opening doors. Cedrick found the parents and stayed by the door, while his accomplice entered the room that had Jared in it and put chloroform over the boy’s nose and mouth, making sure he wouldn’t wake up. He picked the boy up and headed towards the truck. Cedrick silently followed his partner.

Alex sat in the Seanchai Pub, his usual haunt, sipping from a vodka. He drank alot, but never really got drunk. He had good resistance. But drinking wasn't his particular brand of vodka, so to speak. He was along the back wall of the bar, his dearest and only friend Sashenka at his side. He would be going back to school today, under much different pretexts since he first went to this place. He sat back and waited, taking another sip.

Adair pulled his VW bus into the lot at the pub, and stepped out, Carlin following him. He stepped through the oak doors and scanned the nearly empty room. He walked over the man with the dog and said, "You must be Alex, my name is Adair." He sat down, Carlin jumping up onto the bar.

Alex stood up "Alexandre Rossi, honor to meet you, sir." He stuck out his hand and shook before getting into the van, watching Carlin and Sashenka. Once back at the school, he brought his stuff into his room and let Sashenka out to explore. He flopped down on the bed and stared at the cieling, so many memories here, and now he gets to make those for the kids. Any way he wants.

Ivalice stepped through the wooden doorframe, suitcase in one hand and an envelope in the other. He had heard of this school before, and, while very hard, would deliver results. Walking in, he saw Cain, petting his bobcat while darting through papers. "Excuse me, Mr. Gaiscioch?" The man looked up from his papers. "Yes, General Renault?"

"Yes... This will be different, as it's unlike anything you've had done before, but..." Ivalice set the envelope in the hand couple with the suitcase. "I'd like my son to be a part of your program."

"Interesting choice general. You are aware that he might not survive the program, in the past we usually have had higher than a 50% death rate." He said forming a smile on his face.

Ivalice responded, trying to get a lump out of his throat. "I am... aware of that." He set his briefcase down and held the envelope in his hands. Then he pulled a picture of his son out. 'If he dies' he thought, 'I don't know what I'd do.'

"I've money in this envelope, my son is sleeping in the car." I gripped the photo even tighter. "Any specialized classes?"

"Yes we do have specialized classes for those who graduate from the first part of training," Cain handed him a list of schools. "Although the school they enter will be determined when they complete the final for the first part. They will take a test that will best match their skills to a school, so they will have a better chance of succeding."

Ivalice nodded his head. "I see." He looked once more at his envelope. "Money is in here, if it is needed. And I request a photo per year he is in, if that is allowed. I don't want to see my son and not recognize him." He put the photo back in his pocket, and pulled out a cigarette, placing it on his lip.

Hayate snuck out of his orphanage bed, creeping past the other sleeping kids. He crept down the stairs, aware that they were old, not making a creeking sound. The kitchen was just around the corner, and he was hungry for some cookies. He climbed the counter, then the shelf, where the cookies were. It was not long before he was grabbed by an adult. He began to think it was the caretakers, until after a cloth covered his mouth and he began to fade from conciousness. "Easy pickin's," said the man ", now we'll be out of here faster." He picked up the limp child and crept out the door to his black van.

"Their will be no problems with the pictures. And I thank for the very generous donation to the school." He stood up, and shook the generals hand, showing him to the door. He sat back down at his desk and pulled out his KA-BAR, which had the name of one of the few individuals he cared about on it 'Sarah'. He layed his hand back down on the desk and started jabbing it between the gaps of his fingers.

Cedrick parked his hummer in front of the school, and stepped out, when teh transport truck stopped and turned it's engine off, he looked at his watch, it read 0400. He told the others to hop in the back and him and his partner the "students" and they would take them inside to the room they would start off in.

Adair went to Alex's room and woke him up. "The recruits are here, now get your shit together and meet in room A-1 in 5 minutes." Adair left the room and headed for the appropriate room.

Alex hopped out of bed and straightened out his hair and clothes, he didn't want to look like somone who just rolled out of bed after a booze-filled night. He walked into the room with Sashenka, who sat peacefully by his side. He stood at Adair's side at attention, watching the doors with a bit of eagerness to see the same fear he felt the first time being ushered in.

Adair looked around the room and watched as some of the students started waking up. Before too many of them woke up he did a head count. He counted thirty. Confused, he counted again and got thirty once more. He called a soldier over and asked, "I thought we only had twenty nine, but I count thrity, whats the deal, did you guys screw up?"
"No sir, apparently the "headmaster" found another student to fill the gap." came the response.
"Good"

He looked at Alex and said, "For the a little bit, you are just monitering me, after that I have no buff with you taking some control."

after Alex's response he glanced around the room and saw that all of the students were awake, and from the looks of things had massive headaches, all except one of them. He looked around at the confusion that ensued, and announced, "Welcome to the next phase of your lives. This morning you will start your first day of school," A grin formed on his face, "For the next three years you will live, sleep, and train with your fellow "students" will be your life, and we will teach you everything you need to know. Now with that said, lets get you all some haircuts, and new clothes. Form a line at this door over here, you have three minutes to get in line." he stood next to the door waiting for the students to get into the line.

Tommy woke up, a bit disorientated and that massive headache he had didn't help.
He heard someone yelling at him to form a line against the wall and assumed it was someone of the caretakers. He got up and lined up against the wall... wrong wall.

"Ah, shite..." Dmitri woke up, heavily rolling his eyes. He had picked up plenty of swears for being a 5-year-old, thanks to his parents, who also gave him his encouraging nickname, Dim. 'You will always be very dim.' they would tell him. He moved his young fists out of his eyes and saw a few older people standing on one side of the room "Wha, queue at the door? Ok, don't have to shout." he muttered to himself. He had headaches alot, but they always still had their same weight. He got up and walked, still in a rather sleepy mood, to the wall and got in line where he thought he should. "I get to go first, I guess." He said, realizing that he was the first in the line.

Alex looked around at all the kids starting to stir "Yes sir." He said in a casual, relaxed tone. When the kids came to, Adair gave his speech, something Alex hadn't heard in person for 11 years, yet he could recite every word of it, down to the tone of voice. Smiling, he watched the kids lazily get up, one of the kids went over to a wall and stand there. It was a wall by a door indeed, but the wrong door, wrong wall. "Hey, sir?" Alex whispered "I think we got the first mistake there, you going to take care of it or do you want me to?" His head turned up to the side at Adair, but eyes to the side over at the kid.

"Just let him figure it out, he will be the first to learn his lesson, and be an example for everyone else." He said

"Alright, sir" Alex answered, watching all the kids scurry about confused and sore, much like turning the light on and all the bugs scurring away. It was quite funny actually, considering this sort of thing will be automatic for them in not too long.

Tommy had had time to wake up a little and noticed that everyone else were had lined up... against another wall. Ashamed he went over to the others.

Alex had been timing the kids from when Adair told them to get up and get in line. "Sir, would you like to know the results?"

"I know the results already, and I say the kid who fucked up gets to be punished." He motioned over for some soldiers to grab the kid who messed up.

Jurin rubbed her eyes and yawned sleepily. She had a headache, and she didn't recognize where she was. She'd been at home, wandering to the kitchen for a glas of water when someone grabbed her and now she was here, lined up with a lot of other children. She turned around and looked at the girl behind her, and smiled. "Hi my name is Jurin. What's your name?"

Jessi scoweld at the younger girl. "Jessi." She was in a bad mood, and wasn't used to getting up so early. She'd still been asleep when she'd been kidnapped and brought here, and now she was in a strange place and her parents weren't here to get her breakfast and help her dress. "Leave me alone please."

Jurin pouted and turned back around to face the front of the line.

Tommy felt two strong hands grab his shoulders. He realised that it was useless to struggle and followed the man who pushed him away from the others.

Jurin and Jessi both watched the boy being taken away. Jurin was about to ask where he was being taken, but Jessi, putting two and two together and making three, poked her and put a finger to her lips. "I don't think it's a good idea to ask where he's going." She whispered. "I think he's in trouble and I don't what's going to happen but you might get hurt if you ask where he's going."

Jurin looked surprised. "Oh OK Jessi."

Jared woke up in a strange, bland room. He shrugged, thinking it was one of his dreams within dreams. He'd soon learn otherwise. He obediently got in line when he was told, and looked up at the adults. Soon bored of looking up into their faces, he started to think about him, a lighter, and 20 tons of dynamite.

((OOC: I almost forgot I had two characters))

Dim waited in line impaciently, wondering what they were doing with the kid that was being hauled off. He noticed two girls next to him gossiping about it. "For some reason, I have a feeling it's going to be more than a time-out and a pat on the bum." He whispered to them.

"Well, with those unpleasantries out of the way, you all can now enter the room one at a time. When they are ready for the next person, they will come and get you." With that the door opened and three men came out, each taking a child. After several minutes the two boys and a girl all exited into the next room, bald. "NEXT" called the barber. When they entered the next room they were instructed to strip of their clothes and were given new clothes that they would wear for training. When they entered the third room they were met by several soldiers, and a very bald, very half naked Tommy, who was strapped by his arms and legs to something that looked like a metal bedframe.

(OOC: Sorry for being late, was occupied for the past few days)

Edrias woke up from his slumber, surprised to see he wasn't in his car anymore. Instead he was in an unrecognizable room with several kids he didn't know. He knew, that if everyone was doing the same thing, he'd do it too, so he got in line with everyone. In front of him, he saw a small kid looking around nervously. "Hi. I'm Edrias," he said, trying to be friendly. The kid glanced back at him "I'm Hayate. I didn't get my cookie." Edrias nodded. "My daddy put me in here, he said it'll teach me better than he could." Hayate pouted. "At least you knew your parents..."

Alex saw Tommy get rolled in and started to chuckle "I remember this thing. It's become somewhat of a grizzly mascot for this place, the kid frying on the 'bedframe'."

Dim rubbed his shaved head, he hadn't had too much hair to begin with so it wasn't a big change. "Hey look, there's that kid again."

Jared rubbed his head, feeling the area where his white stripe of hair jutted through his shiny black black hair. Or, rather, used to. He came into the third room and noticed Tommy strapped to a metal frame.Looking curiously at Tommy, he walked over to Edrias and Hayate.
"Hi, I'm Jared." he announced "I wonder what's gonna happen to him" Jared pointed at Tommy.

The only thing that kept Tommy from falling was the leatherstraps that tied him to the bedframe. Large chunks of his hair had been torn off and he had lost several teeth, blood kept dripping out of his mouth, his bare chest was red and bled in several long wounds and a burning pain surged from his right leg.

OOC: sorry liberty, but I want to use you as an example to the class they have a different punishment in mind. Horribly sorry, and nicely described, but they are gonna wait for a bit, till everyone shows up. sorry about that.

OOC: That's OK, they're just warming him up right now.

After all of the students had their hair cut and got their new clothes they were instructed to sit down. Adair began his speech,
"Now every single year I have taught this class, someone has screwed up on the first day. Now in the begining, I didn't quite know how to deal with it as quickly to get the message across that you do what I say, when I say it, and how I say it. But with time I have realized the best way is a public display of what Is going to happen if you dont' do as I say promptly and efficiently. Now with out further ado," he pointed at the soldiers, "one of you hook him up, another get ready to pull the switch, and you the lights." The soldiers did as they were told, and soon the lights were off and the frame Tommy was on started humming. With a solid 'clunk' the soldier pressed the switch down and sparks were seen jumping from the frame to Tommy's body. A loud humming could be heard. The frame went 'CRACK! CRACK!' causing several students in the front to jump. after several seconds they turned the power off and loosened the straps, causing Tommy to drop to the floor. Adair said with out even changing his expression "Now this was just a public display, I garuntee that in the future punishment will be much more rapid and much more severe. With that out of the way, I am going to take yu to breakfast now. Form a line over here" He waited for the class to form before leaving and heading for the cafeteria.

Tommy fled into the relief that unconsciousness provided. The flesh on his back boiled, he couldn't breath and his heart was still for ten seconds. The rest of his hair had caught fire and burned his head even more, the wax in his ears melted and ran out of his head and the skin was black where the leatherstraps had been.

OOC: Last post for a while, I need to go to school.

"Gah" Dim exclaimed, looking away as the electricity arched through his classmate. Once Monroe gave the second part of his speech, Dim muttered "Damn it all, wow, I'm getting in the queue."

Alex had a mildly waxed over, nostalgic look as the kid was being fried. He brought up the rear of the line into the cafeteria, Sashenka patrolling up and down it, watching to make sure nobody thought it'd be a good idea to sneak off and help their shocked classmate.

Jurin patted her head, and her bottom lip quivered. "my...my hair!" She whined before noticing that someone was speakiing to the class. As the boy was electrocuted, her eyes grew wide and she forgot about her recent haircut.

Jessi watched in stunned silence. When it was over she said "Aren't you glad you didn't ask what was happening to him?"

Jurin nodded. When the line to the cafeteria formed, she stopped in front of Tommy. She jumped slightly in fright, resolving to follow the rules as best she could, before running to her place in line.

jessi was already there, introducing herself to the boy who had spoken to them before. "I'm Jessi. Do you know why we're here or what this place is?"

"I'm Jurin" The 4 year old announced, startling Jessi. "I don't know where we are, either, but I do know I wanna go home. This place is scary."

OOC: So, am I dead?

OOC: no, just unconscious

OOC: Ah yes, I wrote that myself :headbang: Am a little tired right now.

A medic came into the room after the children were gone, took a quick look at Tommy and then ordered a soldier to take him to the M.A.S.H. where he would stay for a week or two. Of course, his back would never ecover fully but as soon as he could stand on his own two legs he was going to class.

"Oh, I'm Dim." He offered his hand to skae with Jurin and Jessi. "From the looks of how people conduct themselves, I'd believe this is an army base. Don't worry yourself too much there, I think this is home now."

OOC: Don’t be surprised, Liberty, if NoF asks you to edit that thing about the medic and whatnot. That may have happened, I’m not sure, which is why I’m not telling you what to do. But it also might’ve been a little less kind. –Sarcastically puts finger and thumb together-

OOC: I know but I coudn't think of anything else at that moment.

Jurin blinked and her eyes teared up. "An army base? b...but I don't want to be in the army."

Jessi sighed. "Jurin, do you have to cry every time you don't like something?"

Jurin just looked at Jessi, a little peeved at the morning's happenings.

OOC: Hey guys it seems you aren't really portraying 3-5 year olds very accurately,

"For some reason, I have a feeling it's going to be more than a time-out and a pat on the bum." He whispered to them.

"From the looks of how people conduct themselves, I'd believe this is an army base. Don't worry yourself too much there, I think this is home now."

Children don't use correct grammar and very few 5 year olds know what a queue is. Also a lot more children would have started crying after seeing the kid electrocuted and a lot more would have made fun of him before that when he was taken away "Ohh you're in trouble!!" rather than speculating on his fate.

IC: Jack had woken up and gotten in line and his hair cut just like everyone else. He had been very scared after seeing the kid being electrocuted so he crouched and closed his eyes.

OOC: Liberty, don't worry about changing it, we'll just have him come out early.
Securia, I'm quite aware that this isn't how a five year old would ask, were just having fun and going with what we know.

IC:
When they got to the cafeteria, Monroe stopped the line, and waited for everyone to stop. "Now, this is how it is going to happen. You are going to start your line at that stack of trays, you are going to go over there, and those men are going to serve you your food. A warning though, take only what you can eat, if you have food left over on your tray it will not be a plesant feeling for you," he looked over at Alex to see if he had anything to add.

Alex realized he was being looked upon to keep talking "Yeah, and, remember that fact, eat everything you have. Don't take up other people's dishes unless they are empty. Some kid last group got his leg wrecked the first day among other things for having not eaten all his oatmeal, rumors were some other kid talked him into taking the bowl up for him. With all that said, chow down kids."

Dim winced a bit at Alex's story "I guess we better not let some kid scam us now?" He told the other two as he took some fruit and toast.

OOC: If you hadn't noticed, I've been giving Dim somewhat of a rollicking English tone to his words, hence the use of queue. Oh, by the way, when I was little, I cracked my skull and laughed my ass off.

OOC: well as long as we get to have fun with this...

Jack got his oatmeal. He was looking at Alex and thought to himself "I could take him." After getting his oatmeal he sat down next to some kids. "Hey guys I'm Jack Jolt, what's up HOOOMIIEEEEE?"

After hearing Jack say "what's up HOOOMIIEEEEE?" Alex could literally hear a fuse break in Adairs head. Monroe stood up and screamed "WHO SAID THAT? WHO THE FUCK SAID? Who's the slimy little communist shit twinkle toed cocksucker down here, who just signed his own death warrant?" Monroe stomped in the direction of where he heard it come from. his face was bright red.

Jack turned to Monroe and said "Chill out douche bag I'm just trying to make friends."

Stats on Jack.
5 Yrs. old, Height: 1.12m (3.7ft), build: Ordinary, weight: 19.50Kg (About 50 lbs.).

OOC: I just searched for average stats of a 5 year old so he's pretty much average physically.

Alex reached over to the food line and took a toothpick and popped it in his mouth, following Adair over to Jack. In the 11 years seniority he had on the kids, he had learned that one of the things that an NoF soldier had to learn was to talk reasonably proper, especially when you are being loud. Sashenka got up to Adair first, Alex not far behind.

Dim looked over and whispered to the others "Oooh, I think he's going to get smacked about a bit too."

Adair grabbed him by the neck and picked him up so they were eye level. "You stupid little shit" Adair raised Jack up above his head threw him at the ground, as hard as he could. When Jack landed he planted his boot in Jacks ribs. He reashed into his back pocket and pulled out a ziptie, and bound his hands together, before tieing his legs together. He picked Jack up and left the room, telling Alex to watch the other "students" and make sure they stay in line. He brought Jack to a room that a long pole going across it with hooks at certain intervals. He hung Jack by his wrists and said, I'm gonna teach you some manners you little bitch," heading for a closet and pulling out a whip.

OOC: gone for dinner back in a minute

OOC: Oh wait Monroe is the teacher? Oh man I though the was a student but I just went back to the first page to check the character list. Oh well I guess I messed up.

Hayate looked at his food in disgust. He had decent food at the orphanage, but this stuff looked... he stuck out his tongue at it. Edrias, however, ate his oatmeal slowly. He enjoyed healthy foods, which was strange for kids his age. His father taught him fair courtesy, and he muffled a burp. Hayate, on the other hand, took a few bites, and nearly let out a loud belch, before Edrias, covered his mouth, muffling the sound. "Do you want trouble?! Jack got hurt for something like that." Hayate looked at his oatmeal, than at Edrias. He stuck his tongue out and ate some more, this time in silence. Edrias noticed then that Jack was being led into another room forcefully. Edrias and Hayate, almost at the same time, said "Uh-oh..." Hayate grinned, then said "JINX!" Edrias looked at him confused. Hayate's grin faded from both seeing Jack disappear behind the doors and Edrias' lack of humor.

Jack: "Not a fair fight..."

OOC: :) Yes. Monroe is the teacher.

IC: Alex paced up and down the center aisle amongst the tables, expecting some questions to be asked, but it wouldn't surprise him the slightest bit if everyone silently ate their meals. He wondered if a big speech was going to be had, like when it was his first day, he wondered if he'd do anything in that or just get to see the heroes of the nation again.

Dim blinked a few times and went back to eating after Adair took Jack out of the room.

"Well you little cocksucker, you should have thought of that before you mouthed off," he sent the tip of the whip against Jack's back, letting out a satisfying 'crack'. "Now, I'm going to have quite the time on you, it's been a while since I've personally punished a student like this so I'm gonna make it nice and painfull for you."
He called a soldier in and said, "Go back to the cafeteria and tell Alex, the one with the dog, that the rest of the students are going to have an extended breakfast period."
"Right away sir"
"Well well, then, hang tight for a second there, I'm going to get some more fun implements, and guards make sure he doesn't get loose, if so you know what to do." Adair left the room and came back shortly with a blow torch. "Now," he pulled out a switch blade, and flipped the blade out with his free hand, "lets get started." He grabbed Jacks little toe, and cut it off. After he cut off his little toe, he pu thte knife away and started up the blow torch, bringing it to the bleeding space where a toe used to be. After he cauterized the wound, he turned the torch off. "Now, you aren't gonna talk back anymore, are you?" he planted a solid punch into the childs stomach.

Alex was still on patrol up and down the middle, after a few words in Russian, the husky patrolled around the outside of the room. The guard came in and passed the message on. "Well kids, looks like Sgt Monroe is having himself a good time, so all of yo uget some more time to eat. Remember though, if this was a normal, non-interrupted day, any of you who still had a strip of bacon left or whatnot would not have a fun morning."

OOC: You don't need to worry about hp, He only cut off your toe, your not gonna die from that.

OOC: Maybe not from that but later on something else might.

OOC: Oh, I thought you meant he died, and you wanted to do another one in his place, yes you are more than welcome to do a second character consecutively. And for future reference, Please don't do the HP thing again. Basic stats like height and weight and a short description are more than enough, and if you want to post that please do it in the OOC/signup thread.

Jared's thoughts of this all being a dream vanished with Tommy's being electrocuted. He followed everyone into the cafeteria and picked up a peice of toast, but he just wasn't very hungry. Thoughts flashed through his head, mostly thoughts about what he might not want to do. Mechanically eating his toast, Jared D'uger made a silent vow to survive, no, thrive in this environment. He had survived his dad's mad rampages and he would survive this. He barley noticed Jack being hauled out of the room, figuring him to be a trouble-maker or very, very dim. Or maybe just ignorant. He finished his toast and sat there, looking around for a few moments. He got up and walked over to Edrias and Hayate, introducing himself once more. "Hi, I'm Jared, what's your names?"

Tommy had gotten a bandage for his back and was sent to the cafeteria with the other kids just in time to see another poor ¨student¨ being dragged off to a small room.
He thought that it might be best not to say anything as he might be even more punished if he did.
He got some cereals and, seeing the other children were already seated, took a seat next to them.

Jurin's giggles at the boy who had sai "What's up HOMIIIIEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS" died off as quickly as they'd started when she saw Monroe coming. Shocked into silence, she occupied herself with shoveling scrambled eggs into her mouth.

Jessi stared until the boy had been dragged from the room. "I think Dim's right. Let's promise not to get into any trouble OK?"

OOC: I guess I'll make up another character, if there starts to get to be too many characters for this thread then feel free to kill off any of them or let someone else take control.

Hayate grinned at the new kid. "I'm Hayate!" Edrias pointed to himself. "I'm Edrias." Almost at the same time, they were discussing how they got to this 'school'. Hayate started first. "I was taken because I tried stealing cookies, I think. The orphanage might not like me no more..." Edrias smiled. "My daddy brought me here, said it would teach me better than his nations schools could, whatever that means. How'd you get here, Jared?" Hayate licked his spoon and tried to balance it on his nose, just to take away from his boredom.

After Jack passed out Adair decided that he had taken enough for hte time being, and that any pain instilled on him at the time wasn't going to be well recieved by the intended party. He picked the child up off of thehook and held him over his shoulder, heading for his office. When he got to his office he noticed that he had a brand and several letters to put in it sitting on the bookshelf. He grabbed the letters to spell out 'Ignorant', and headed for the boiler room. After he burned the word into Jacks forehead he headed back to the office, to drop off his brand and to lull Carlin out of his slumber. With Carlin in tow he headed back to the cafeteria.

Alex was still on patrol, watching each of the kids, happy to see no slip-ups again. When Adair came back in, Alex turned to face him and clicked his feet together. "Sir, no problems while you were gone. You won't have anyone to join that last fool..." His view panned all the kids "...yet."

"I don't really know." replied Jared."I went to sleep last night and woke up in that one room." He grinned at them both. "Not that I mind not having to deal with my dad."

OOC: Ok my secondary character is Sara Ackers.

Sara looked at Jack as he was taken away. "That's not how to do it." She thought to herself, she knew the best way to stay alive would probably be to do whatever the others told her. "That's a cool trick." She said to the kid who was balancing a spoon on his nose.

"It is. How d' you do it?" Asked Jared. To Sara he said. "I'm Jared, he's Edrias, and Hayate's playing with the spoon. What's your name?"

"Sara Ackers" said Sara

Jurin looked up from her eggs. "I'm gonna try not to get in trouble. I don't want to get hurt."

Jessi nodded. "Yeah me too. I wonder what it's going to be like living here...I'm kinda worried."

Jurin put her head down. "I'm scared. I want to go home."

Dim leaned over, whispering "Hey, hey, it's okay, watch it, else you'll have a teacher coming over here."

Alex was walking towards them.

"And you don't want to end up like those other two kids, ooooh crap." Dim hushed.

Alex stopped next to them, clearing his throat. "Is there a problem?"

Jessi smiled nervously."no,there's no problem." She put her arm around Jurin and grinned. "Just making new friends."

Jurin nodded weakly and picked up her fork again.

Hayate took the spoon off his nose and smiled. "Thank you! My friends showed me how." Edrias laughed a little, loud enough to be heard, low enough to not get in trouble by the teachers. "I wonder what's going to happen next." He looked at the others. "Should I ask the teachers, or not?"

"Probably shouldn't, Edrias." Jared glanced around quickly. "You might end up like one of the other kids."

Alex stayed looking ahead, but his eyes rolled down to the side at the kids, he had a brief look of pity on his face before he nodded and continued his patrol.

Dim, after Alex was out of normal earshot, gave an exaggerated sigh and said "That was close."

Sara finished her food. "Ok I'm done. What about you guys?"

Tommy had had struggled with his cereals all the time but had finally managed to get them down, the pain when he swallowed had caused him to burst into tears again and he sat and sobbed when Sara asked.

"OK people. Your time for breakfast is up. Bring your trays up this garbage can over here, and form a line at the door." Adair yelled, carrying an unconcious Jack over his shoulder.

Jared glanced at his fellow students. "Guess i'll talk to you later. See-ya."

"Bye!" said Hayate to his new friends, while Edrias smiled and waved. They both grabbed their trays, brought it to the garbage, and lined up at the door. Hayate thought of what would happen, all Edrias thought about was if he would lose any of his friends. He liked Jared and Sara.

Jurin jumped and wolfed down the rest of her eggs before anyone could see that she hadn't finished. The eggs gone, she stood up and walked over to return her dishes. Jessi had already finished eating and was waiting for her in the line.

"You going to be OK, Jurin?"

"I'll be OK..."

Tommy slowly stood up and dumped his tray in the garbage, joining the others in the line. He quietly sobbed all the time as the pain returned everytime he moved a muscle.

Dim was too concerned over Jurin and Jessi to really have eaten his food. He got up with them and followed them, tossing his tray, with a half-eaten egg sandwich into the trashcan and walked for them.

The soldier that was watching the trash can saw a 'student', Dim, drop an egg sandwich in the trash, and watched him start to walk away. The soldier said nothing, and casually walked up behind him and slammed the butt of his rifle into the side of the kids leg. He watched him tumble to the floor, and kicked him hard in the side. He yelled,

"YOU!"

The soldier knelt down and brought his face close to the kids and said, "do I make myself clear?" Not waiting for the response he stood up and said, "Now get your scrawny ass up and get to the line." He knew the kid wouldn't throw any more food away, but had probably broken a rib or two in the process of learning.

Dim lay there for a moment, a terrified look on his face as he eventually pulled himself over to a nearby table and used it to stand up, his knees shaking out of fear and pain like the rest of his body. Once he was sure of himself, he hobbled over to the line, favoring the side he got kicked in.

Sara stood in line quietly, she knew she'd have to be quiet to get through this.

Jack regained conciousness but still pretened to be out.

Erias and Hayate stood and gawked in stunned silence. The guard shifted his body weight and looked at the other students. Edrias turned just in time to avoid the guards gaze, but Hayate was a second too late. He knew this and shut his eyes tight. He knew he would be in for a beating if looking got you in trouble.

Jurin and Jessi watched their new friend getting kicked around in terror. Jurin had both hands over her mouth, stifling a small scream. Jessi just stared in shocked silence. When DIm finally got in line, they both asked at the same time "Are you OK?"

Tommy watched the other child get kicked. He didn't really care, he had his own wounds to care about.
He also saw one of the girls holding her hands over her mouth in terror. He made a mental note to remind her what true pain was, as soon as he could.

Sara patted Jurin. "stay calm, it's ok."

"I've been better." Dim sighed "He roughed me up good, though my M and P used to give me quite the whippin' too when they weren't too happy, so it's nothing new."

Jared watched as Dim was kicked, and turned away. It had to've hurt. A lot. Jared left that thought behind and moved on to another thought. How to survive. He guessed that he would eventually be punished, but he'd do his best not to be. Whatever came, though, he'd stay with Sara, Hayate and Edrias. Especially Edrias, he seemed nice enough.

Adair ran his eyes across the mass of children that had formed a line at the door, after he counted thirty live bodies he started out the door and said in a loud, voice, follow me, we're heading to your second class of the day.

After a short walk he stopped at a room labeled 101, opened the door, and held it for the line to enter. When the last of the students were in he said, "Each of you take a seat at the desk, and we will begin."

Jared took a seat close to the middle of the room, knowing from previous school experiance that this was the best place to see and yet be part of the crowd.He gave a smalljerk of his head to indicate the others to sit next to him.

Jurin and Jessi sat down in the third row back. They remained perfectly silent, not wanting to get into any trouble, hoping they'd be able to do whatever they'd have to do and learn anything quickly. Jessi Sat up straight, eyes to the front of the room except for the occasional glance at other students. Jurin, however, looked all around here, having never been in a school before.

Jurin broke the silence, perhaps a little bit louder than she intended to be. "What do you think we'll be doing in class, Dim?"

Jessi closed her eyes and shuddered, hoping the four year old hadn't been loud enough to draw any unwanted attention to herself.

Adair shot a look at the students that were talking, and said nothing. He waited for the rest of the students to sit down.

Dim sat down between Jared and Jessi and Jurin, he got a worried look when Jurin spoke loudly, he whisperhissed "Keep it down, who knows what they'll teach us in here."

Alex followed the kids into the room, watching them file into their seats. He looked over to Adair, seeing if he wanted Alex to do anything about the noisy kids in back.

A soldier came in and headed for Adair. He stopped and saluted before stating his business, "Sir, Cain wants to see you in his office immediatly."

"Tell him I'll be up as soon as I possibly can be. Alex, I want you to start the class, if I'm not mistaken you should remember what they are doing."

He called Carlin and headed out the door towards Cain Gaiscioch's office. When he arrived there he stepped in to find someone was already there, meeting with Cain.

Gendo Capek's arrival to Nation of Fortune was... Discreet. Well, discreet as one could be landing a spacecraft in a relatively remote area. From there, an SUV brought him to the main office of a Mr. Gaiscioch.

He regarded the human wearily, nodding slowly as he introduced himself. "Good eveing. I am Gendo Capek. It is my wish to admit my daughter, Rei, to your academy." His feline tail didn't sway, didn't move. It was perfectly still, low to the ground. It almost didn't draw any attention. Almost.

Gendo was a tall man. Handsome, with neatly combed jet black hair and bright green eyes. He wore a simple blue business suit. If not for the catears and tail, he would most certainly pass for a human lawyer of some sorts.

The yound neko, Rei, wasn't here at the moment. Assumably, she was in the SUV.

Adair stepped into the room and found that a man.....no scratch that.....a giant cat in a business suit was talking to the headmaster. He waited for a pause in the conversation before starting in, "Hello, I'm the main instructor at this fine school, Adair Monroe. How may I help you......." He stumbled for the words before finally coming out with, "Sir?"

He shot a confused look at Cain, and then to Gendo before holding his hand out to shake. Carlin was sniffing Gendo with a standard felines curiosity.Carlin, as a bobcat, had never encountered a Neko before, but then again, neither had most people in Nation of Fortune.

Gendo wasn't the least bit off-set by the human's reaction to himself. Nekos were admittedly, an unusual race of creatures. "I am Gendo Capek." He firmly shook the man's hand. "My daughter, Rei. I wish to enroll her here. Like myself, she is a Neko. I trust this will not entail any problems?"

"This shouldn't pose any problems. Now, where is rei, I'll need to get her dialed into the program so far." He said regaining all confidence he had.

Gendo nods slowly. "She is currently waiting in my SUV outside. However, one thing before you do so. There is a Barcode on the back of her neck, as is on the back of all Krowemohian's necks. It is not to be marred, in any way. There would be dire reprecussions if the Barcode is damaged to any extent. That is my only concern." He nods once more, "I shall lead you to her now..."

He takes the human out of Mr. Gaiscioch's office, leading him to the black SUV parked just outside. He opens the one of the rear side door. Curled up into a ball behind the driver's seat on the floor board is the silver haired, black dressed Rei. Her outfit consits of a black cordiroy (I know I misspelled that.) top and dress, the sleeves of the top cut so as to bare the shoulders. Every article of clothing she wears has a red cross on it, including the black lace ribbon in her hair.

Her blood red eyes look up to the two. "Daddy?" She asks meekly, then her eyes turn to Monroe, and she makes a small 'eep' noise.

"It's okay dear. Please come out." Gendo asks in a firm yet caring voice. Rei nods, and complies, crawling out of the SUV and standing before the two. She trembles, her eyes darting this way and that, and appears ready to burst into tears at the drop of a hat. Gendo turns to Monroe. "The doctors say she has multiple phobias, and is likely to develop obbessive compusive disorders if these phobias aren't somehow taken care of. However, she is still very obediant. I have raised her well so far, but I am not cut out to handle these phobias. This is where your school will come in." He nods slowly.

"Yes sir, we'll do our best to cure her of these fears." He put his hand on her shoulder, and gripping slightly, "Now Rei, say goodbye to your daddy and follow me." He took a few steps away and waited for her to come.

Rei blinks, tears already forming as she looks to her father. "Daddy?" He stoops, and gives her a quick hug.

"Yes, dear. I need you to do as the man says, okay? Listen to him as you would me. Be a good girl, and grow up to be strong." He stood, and steps back. Rei nods, wipes her eyes, and follows Monroe...

Gendo stands back and watches as long as he can, before climbing into his SUV and driving away...

"Ok Rei, lets get you a school uniform, and.....well we'll skip the haircut," He took her to the room and gave her the standard uniform for the recruits.

Alex was left standing in the middle of the room, Sashenka even knew that this may or may not go well. Alex slowly walked up to the front of the room and took up a dry erase marker. "Umm... okay class. I am going to teach you how to read. Some of you may already know a few words, so..." He began writing a sentence on the board "...can anybody read this?" He stepped aside from the board, a weak smile on his face. The board read 'Learn to read or you will surely die from your own idiocy.' "Anybody know any of these words?"

Jurin stared at the board, trying to read the words. She knew a few letters, and she understood that letters could make words, but her reading had barely started and she could only make out one or two of the words the older boy had written.

Jessi's mouth moved silently, and she eventually figured out most of the sentence. Her parents valued literacy, often claiming that no matter what a person did to someone, they could never take away their knowledge, and had instilled in their daughter a love of reading from an early age. Not wanting to risk what might happen if she volunteered to read and couldn't figure out all of the words, however, she didn't raise her hand.

Dim looked at the board for awhile, trying to see if anything looked familiar. Ah! That second to last word, were'd he see it before? Newman's Own salad dressing! Dim cautiously raised his hand.

Alex looked all all the faces, seeing them all thinking, but all too worried to respond. One kid raised his hand "Yeah, you?" Alex pointed to him, Sashenka quickly trotting over to the desks where Alex pointed, sniffing at all the kids.

Dim said, voice nervous. He had already gotten beaten today, he didn't want to screw up again "Umm... the word kind of on the end... it says 'own'."

Alex nodded his head, walking over to Dim. "You're right, very good." He got to Dim and brought his hand up over Dim's head.

Dim nerved up, he was going to get slapped.

Alex brought his hand down quickly and gave the kid a noogie, his fist easing into a pat on the head after a bit. "Very good!" He repeated in his Southern European accent, walking back to the whiteboard. "Anyone else?"

Rei nods slowly, disrobing right there on the spot. On her left shoulder was, of course, a tattoo of a red cross. At least, it looked like a tattoo, although more then likely it was one of those cheap peel away tattoos...

She carefully slips into the uniform, then blinks. "Haircut?" She immediately stroked her hair with one hand. It was pretty long for her age, almost down to her mid-back. She sighs, her eyes never leaving the floor, "I'm weady..."

Rei was escorted to the class, where another human, as well as a group of other children were gathered around a blackboard, with writing on it. Rei quietly finds a seat towards the rear, not sitting next to anybody. She immediately pulls her knees up to her chest, wrapping her arms around them.

Her tail hasn't stopped moving since coming to this place. It constently flicked this way and that, sometimes flicking one way, only to stop mid-way and fling itself back the way it had came. She looked at the board. So many strangers... I hope no one hurts me... Please Goddess Cori, don't let them hurt me...

Alex turned to the newcomer "Hey there, would you mind coming up to the front of the room." Beckoning Rei to the front of the room. "Don't worry, Sashenka may look mean, but so long as I don't want him to attack you, he'll be nice." The dog was sniffing at Rei.

After Adair brought Rei to the class he stood in the back, letting Alex keep control of the class. He saw several kids point, and whisper about Rei, he promptly went over, grabbed the closest one by the scruff of the neck, and threw him to the ground yelling "That is Rei, she will be your new classmate," he kicked him in the ribs and continued, "Now, do you see anything different about her?" stressing the word different, and bringing his foot back for another kick.

The kid had curled into a little ball as soon as he got kicked the first time, and with a cough let out an exagerated "No Sir, I see nothing strange about her." He whimpered for a second before Adair said "Good, now get back in your seat and pay attention to Alex."

Alex looked over and his expression soured as he saw what Adair was doing. He looked back to Rei and forced a weak smile, hoping she knew that at least Alex wasn't going to do that to her when she got up there.

Jurin and Jessi Watched the new girl, knowing better than to let their fascination show after what happened to the other child. They wondered who she was, but figured they'd find out soon enough.

He was just sitting there when a f*cking catwoman walked in. Tommy's eyes almost popped out of htier sockets but he somehow mangaded to remain quiet. One guy weren't so lucky and Adair called him up to give him a good trashing.

Dim looked on at the new girl, getting a bit peeved at all the comments he heard, it did his heart good to see Adair make an example. Dim thought that so long as this new girl wasn't mean or anything, that he'd be friends with her, whatever that was worth. Besides, Dim was always a cat person.

Rei blinked as the older human at the head of class asked her to come sit near the front with him. It's just like in school... It's just like in school. She mentally chanted, pushing herself off her chair.

Then, Adair grabs a kid, and throws him to the ground, kicking him once and screaming something. Rei doesn't hear, as she immediately drops into a crouch, planting her hands over her ears, trembling visibly.

"No Sir, I see nothing strange about her," the kid stammered out weakly, before Adair could kick him again. With that, the kid scrambles back into his seat.

Rei, on the other hand, is still scared senseless, unmoving except for trembling like a leaf in the wind.

She could hear hushed whispers, but she didn't listen to them, ignoring the words so they would be meaningless. Goddess Cori, protect me! She screamed mentally, awaiting the hit she knew would eventually came her way..

Yet, none did. Alex, the human at the front of the class, speaks again, encouraging her to come to the front. She heard her father's voice again, Rei, grow up to be strong. Somehow, the small child mustered the willpower to stand again, moving slowly towards the front where Alex was, yet the way she carries herself as if she's expecting to be beat from any angle, at any second.

She was already weeping quietly...

Once the girl got up to the front, Alex knelt down next to her. "'ey, what's wrong?" talking in a kind, hushed whisper. He handed a handkerchief he had pulled from his pocket to her, hoping to god that Adair wouldn't get mad at him for doing what he was doing.

Rei accepted the handerchief, wiping her eyes. "I'm scared. I don't like pain." She glanced around at the others, and could feel their looks upon her. She was drawing too much speciail attention. The others would probably dislike her. "Can I sit down now? I promise I won't make any noises."

Alex frowned for a moment, then weakly smiled at her last bit. "Well..." He whispered "There are a few empty seats, just look for a kid who looks like he would want you to sit next to him. If anyone gives you a hard time, just let me know." He waved is hand for her to keep the handerkerchief and then added. "Oh, hey, if you can read what it says on the board, that'd be great. That's what everyone is trying to figure out now." He gave an encouraging smile and nodded off to the chairs.

Dim looked like he would want her to sit next to him.

Adair watched as Rei had a nervous breakdown in front of the class, and Alex consoled her about her fears. After class he was going to talk to him. For the time being he let it be, seing that Rei was going to have problems adjusting, although next time she might not get off so lucky as to just a consoling talk by an elder. After she took a seat he walked over to her and said, "If you do what we say, and take to heart what we teach you, nothing will be able to hurt you."

Rei glanced around, listening to Alex. She spied a few who looked like they wouldn't mind her sitting next to them.

But, just to be extra safe, she resumes her seat at the rear of the class. Adair comes over to her, and whispers "If you do what we say, and take to heart what we teach you, nothing will be able to hurt you." Rei nods, still somewhat scared, but just a little bit comforted by the thought of nothing being able to hurt her.

She looks at the board, blinking slowly as she focused on the characters written there, in her mind the letters changed, taking shape into a language she knew very well.

She raised her hand meekly, and when Alex pointed to her, she stood and spoke in a quiet tone, "It says 'Maynh du nayt un oui femm cinamo tea vnus ouin ufh eteulo.'"

She blinked at the looks she got from both Alex, Adair, and the other students. "Erm... Oh, in English. Umh..." She concentrated for a minute, trying to find the right english words to match the ones she said, then she spoke, "Learn to read or you will surely be dead from your own stupidity. I think..." She blinks, her cheeks flushed beet red, and quickly sits.

"Wow..." Alex thought aloud from the board "That's pretty good, really good. Very close to it. It actually says 'Learn to read or you will surely die from your own idiocy.' but, I think that's as close as we are going to get." He quickly erased the board.

Dim looked back at Rei with a smile and a look of amazement on his face.

Alex wrote on the board 'Pick a partner and come get a worksheet for your group.' "Can anybody read this? Nah... I'll speed this thing up." He slapped a stack of worksheets onto the table and read what it said on the board.

Adair watched as Alex taught the class how to read. Seconds passed by, which turned into minutes, which soon enough lead to two hours, Adair called, "I believe that is enough for today Alex, lets bring them to their next class. Everybody form a line at the door, and lets head out." He stood in front of the door, waiting for the children to form a line infront of him.

Jared stod up and walked to the line starting to form at the door. He had heard Adiar's wispered comment to Rei and was determined to learn whatever was being taught quickly and throughly. As he stood waiting in line, eyes wandering and hands at his sides, he contemplated his next class.

Alex sat up from his chair at the front of the room, walking quickly to the door. "Alright, I want you to all pass me your papers on your way out." Alex took the papers, looking them over as he went, occasionally hurling a compliment or an insult to the kids based on how he saw they did at first.

"Ok, you maggots, lets get going," He started the line moving out the door and towards their next class, when tehy got there they entered a big padded room, with several doors towards the back. Adair looked around and buried his face in his hands, calling over one of the many guards that was around. "Where is the Martial Arts teacher?" he hissed the guard, making sure he was out of earshot of the kids.

"I...I don't know sir."

Adair brought his elbow across the Guards face, causing him to fall to the ground, "Find him, NOW!"

the guard stood up, and spit some blood and a tooth out of his mouth, before rushing out the door.

"Well class, We'll have to wait for you teacher to show up, until then lets do some streching. Line up along the thick black line and space yourselfs about arm length away. After you all do that do as I demonstrate."

The MA teacher was meditating in his room when the guard knocked. He got up and went to the door,
"Yes?"
"You are needed in the training room."
The door snapped open, smacking the hapless guard in the forhead and the doorknob into the groin. Jason Oberta walked to the room, and seeing Adair "Thank you for starting the warm-up. I'll take over now."

"OK then, Alex, come to the back of the room with me, we need to talk about stuff." He walked away from the students, towards the back of the room.

As Rei handed Alex her papers, he noted that it was all in Krowemohian, THEN again in English, with some minor word varitions. She even went so far as to translate what was already typed on the paper to make reading it easier for herself. ((OOC: Feel free to scold or compliment as desired.))

At the next class, she took a spot next to Dim, just a little over one arm's length from him and the other child to her right. She followed Adiar in the strenches. Being a Neko, she was a bit more limber and agile then the other children, and was able to do things such as touch her toes without much effort.

Of course, her tail was, as its always been, a blur of motion. It never seemed to stopped moving. To one trained to notice such things, they could tell her mood perfectly by watching her tail for a few seconds. Right now, she was energetically nervous.

Then, the Martial Arts teacher came in, replacing Adair. Rei blinked as they all stopped to await new instructions. What's going to happen next?

In the reading room, as Alex collected the papers, he had started to lose attention, just taking them and putting them into the pile, until he noticed one that was a little different. The worksheet was done almost perfectly in English, but it was also written out not only in another language, but it was another script too. He looked up at the name blank, it was the new girl, Rei. By the time he looked up, she had already went down the hallway. He made a point to talk to her about it later, thoroughly impressed. He thought to maybe show Adair the paper, but instead he tucked it in a folder with the rest of the worksheets, sticking the folder into a pack and heading off to MA, Sashenka trotting along happily at his side. Once he got to the padded room, Adair called him over. He walked over with him to the back of the room. "Yes sir?" He asked.

Dim occasionally got a word or two on the worksheets, but they were all because of the words he got were in movie titles, food products, and other commercial names. He walked down to the MA room, getting seperated from Jesse and Jurin and Rei. He was one of the first students in there, picking a spot along the wall and getting ready. He looked over as someone got next to him. "Hello, Rei, I'm Dim." He stuck out a welcoming hand.

Jessi, seperated from jurin and Dim, stood between two other children, about and arms length away from both. She followed the teacher, thinking hard and occasionally glancing around to see if she could find her new friends.

Jurin was on one ned of the line, also stretching. She was good at doing physical activities, such as excersize and sports, and almost always had energy to spare.

"Alrighty then, so you're suppose to be my students. Let's see who's flexible enought already. Everybody bend and touch your toes." Jason said as he demonstrated what he wanted them to do by bending at the waist and touching his feet, legs remaining straight. His blue hair falling into his eyes.

Jurin bent forward, touching her toes. Her legs hurt a little in the effort of keeping them straight, but she managed to remain like this.

Jessi wasn't so lucky. She could only reach to a point a little bit above her ankles without bending her knees.

Adair pulled Alex to the side. "OK. Were gonna have to watch that Rei girl, her father specified that we aren't to mess with the tattoo she has on her neck. Also, she aparently has alot of fears, and were gonna have to break those before we can make her the best soldier she can be. Any questions?"

"Well, how're we going to take care of the fears. We need to figure them out first. We can do it your way or my way." Alex caustiously said that last statement.

"Whats your way?" he replied without a second thought

"Well, she's already going to have enough crap from the other kids, being part feline, I think we could at least be a bit gentle about trying to find out what makes her life hellish. If you want to keep up your reputation, I could do it." Alex answered, getting a humorous tone at the end.

"Good argument, but if we do that then other students might feel like she is getting special treatment and treat her even worse. If we do it my way then the other students would support her. And from what I gather she fears pain, and new people, amongst other things. She is also OCD, but that shouldn't matter too much as it will help her pass inspections."

"Well, alright. But we can cut her some slack on the side, can't we, just so long as it isn't big or public." His voice almost had a begging tone to it, he didn't want to have to always be the bad guy. His opinion was that someone can still respect you when they like you. Alex thought to himself how different of a teacher than Adair he'd be when he was done here with him, even though that'd probably change.

"Only if I don't see it. The reason I'm tough on them is because we are teaching them to go out and die for a cause they probably know very little about, as quickly as we possibly can. Now what do you think will teach them quicker as to what they are doing is wrong, example a, 'Oh little johnny, thats not the way we do it,' or example b 'YOU STUPID LITTLE SHIT!' smacks them and messes up what they just did 'NOW DO IT AGAIN! CORRECTLY THIS TIME!' Which do you think would be more effective?"

"Well... of course. I'm not saying we can't be cruel when they screw up." Alex replied "But now, if they are doing something really good, they should be congratulated, in front of everyone. Set an example, sort of like 'This is how you should act if you want us to be nice'."

"That sounds good, but I'll leave that up to you."

Arthas nodded, looking to the MA teacher "Hey sir?" He questioned Adair "What ever happened to the ol' Master? I thought he was the teacher here?"

"Honestly, I have no clue. Wouldn't surprise me if he got his ass sent off to some foreign land though."

"Your probably right. I thought maybe he'd gotten killed, but then I thought that they'd have to pull a Rasputin on him in order to do that." Alex chuckled, remembering how venerable that old man was.

Rei blinked at Dim's offered hand, blushed immensely, and quickly looked away, too embareassed to do much of anything else.

Then, their teacher gave 'em an assignment. Touch your toes. Rei bent over at the waist, reaching with her arms to touch her toes with the tips of her finger. She kept her legs straight, knees unbent. Like most nekos, she was very flexible, a trait that came with the race. Her tail swished back and forth a few times in the air, which caused Rei's face to turn beet red, and she used one hand to grab her tail and hold it down against her leg.

Please Goddess Cori, just let me disappear! She mentally begged to just vanish, so no one could see her...

Seeing the catgirl blushing Jason decided to go a slightly different way to what he'd planned. "Alright all those who couldn't touch thier toes, step forward, drop and give me 20 push-ups."

"Oh hell." Dim said, as he was in too bummed of a mood to even have tried to touch his toes. He was feeling sort of sad that his handshake was rejected. He sarcastically passed out onto the mat and paused for a moment before starting the pushups, starting to struggle. His melodrama made him hurt his arm, and he could only finish 16 before the arm couldn't take it anymore.

Alex, still standing in the back of the room with Adair, watched the class, less the students and more the teacher. "So, where'd you get this guy as a replacement?" He spoke in a voice that if he were to continue talking, he would've said something to the effect of 'because I really don't like him.'

Jessi stepped forward and got to the floor. She'd never done pushups before, so she glanced around at the other kids to see what she was supposed to do. So did her best to copy them, falling down occasionally and struggling to keep up the work. She kept at it, going at a much slower pace than the other children, her arms feeling like they were about to snap under the strain. She fought back angry tears at herself for not being as strong physically as several of the other kids were.

Jurin smiled inwardly, happy that she'd been able to touch her toes and didn't have to do the pushups.

"Where did you get the idea I chose? If anyone chose him it was Cain, but it was more likely the government that put his scrawny ass here."

Dim looked up bleakly at Jurin, struggling to try to get another 4 in before he got in trouble. "Hello, stranger." He spoke in a strained but sarcastic voice to Jurin, eyeing her on his one side and Rei on his other with a humorous jealousy.

Alex chuckled "Nah, I know you wouldn't pick someone like that. Hell, I'd like to go toe-to-toe with him sometime, see if he's really even good." He eyed the teacher "He probably isn't that bad, having the job he does though. He seems like the kind of kid who got his ass whipped by the teachers alot though."

As Jason wandered about the students he noticed one kid who hadn't touched his toes but was hoping he had got overlooked, "So you think you can try to BS me ya little punk?"
"I did touch my toes sir."
Jason didn't say anything for a second, before tripping the kid without seeming to move, causing the kid's head to crack against the ground.
"I don't like greasy punks trying to get out of work, now drop and give me twenty." Jason said in a calm, but ice cold voice.

Rei tilted her head as she watched some of the children who hadn't been able to touch their toes do push ups. Herself, having never once done a push up in her life, was glad she didn't have to any.

One kid who didn't touch his toes tried to fake his way through, but was caught by their teacher none the less. ... I guess he got hat he deserves? She thought, idlying twiddling her thumbs while the others finished their push ups... It seemed the boy, Dim, wasn't able to touch his toe either, and had to do push ups. Poor Dim...

OOC: Hey Theao, you may want to look at my last post or the post before it. About how Dim's doing at push ups.

Jason sees one of the students(Din), "So you think you can slack off do you? Just for that 5 more, and what the hey let's make it interesting." He calls over one of the students that had finished thier push-ups. "Feel free to stand on his shoulders while he finishes his push-ups." While the tone said if the kid chose not to stand on Din's back it would go very badly for him.

Dim frowned, starting to do the pushups, a pained expression on his face. He managed to do two or three more before he gave up, he couldn’t do anymore.

Alex frowned at Jason and Dim, about ready to intervene. He wouldn’t let Dim get out of trouble, but he’d pick a different way for him to serve his punishment. He looked to Adair, seeing if he saw the futility too.

Jurin smiled weakly at Dim, feeling sorry for him.

Jessi sat up, having finished her pushups. She breathed deeply in an attempt to control her frustration with herself, tears threatening at the corners of her eyes. Having regained control of her frusteration, she stood up and loked around.
