Dratheria Begins Temporal Research

Dratheria
01-04-2005, 23:03
Recently after having a team thrown into the past while traveling through the Stargate due to a solar flare the government of Dratheria has decided to research temporal technology including but not limited to time displacement technology, timeships, time monitors, Sun Crushers, and time rift engines (allow for instantaneous travel anywhere). We hope to use this to help uncover the mysetries of the past and allow us to fix the continuim where damage has been done. Any constructive comments would be appreciated.

Just one.. create one HELL of a stringent time travel program if you go through with this. Apparently from our Ascendant allies own experineces in this regard, temporal mechanics is rediculously difficult to comprehend fully, and even worse to deal with any damages caused.

Even the smallest grain displaces, does have future ramifications. Even apparently, future travel causes damage to an evenr 'further' future, one that can be damaging to the past.

We also have been told of rumors of specific time existent civilizations that engage in complexities we would call wars and such, that would draw attention to, by new parties that engage in these matters. No very good fellows these types apparently.

Even so, we can only advise, but we will look into the regard of assisting, if no more than to prevent unintentional damage by greed and worse. It happens, which is why we are concerned.

Thats where time displacement technology comes in to keep me out of the timestream I've traveled into but still allow me to moniter it and in some cases teleport and get a closer inspection.

...neighboorly.. =oO=

And do keep in mind Dratheria, that Murphy's law DOES exist in one format or another, created specifically to defeat any presumptions that we mortals are not infalliable to things that go out of our control.

Trust moi, seen it too much already..

I highly recommend against signing it. Indra isn't so vain as to actually attack and destroy an unrelated nation for such a miniscule reason as developing temporal tech without his assent. If he is...well, he's changed if he tries anything.

You can resign from the treaty at any time, or so GZ has done, so it's worth it until you can ensure your own safety, which is difficult when you are new to Nationstates.
