Due to the democratic nature of the nation, the way in which the members are chosen is thus: There is an election every 5 years. All political parties are encouraged to take part in this election. Each party will nominate it's own Assembly members. After all votes have been counted and the winner announced, the new President is placed at the head of the Assembly. The Vice-President is ALWAYS the Presidential candidate from the party which recieves the second largest number of votes. In this manner, the Assembly represents all parties equally. However, the main body of power still lies in the hands of the President

The Shadowy State of Snake Eaters was founded many centuires ago, byt the original Assembly. They left Earth to found their own nation that would adhere to their beliefs regarding society and economic welfare. They arrived in the Cobiran System in 2190. The year is now 2386. Snake Eaters celebrates her bi-centeneray in 4 years time. In this 200 years, the nation has struggled to compete in the global market, until it was found that they produced warriors that in many cases vastly out-classed the enemy. Since the Helghan Invasion of 2250, Snake Eaters has become a highly militaristic society, resulting in a larger percentage of the population joining the military than is normally found. Despite these factors, Snake Eaters is willing to trade with nations from all areas of the political spectrum.
