OOC: background to this (and its continuation of) here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=408892)
RavenStad is on the brink, it can be pushed eaither way by actions of outsiders (eg if you suddenly give massive support to the RSRA or frame the RSRA of an attack they didnt do, or maby you help keep the peace). if civil war insues it will be blood, brutal and likely long, the people are split 50/50 in the matter makeing the situation even harder. Gun laws use to be rather laxed, but now its worse. Armorys being raided by local millita and since RavenStad is a nation that only came out of a rather brutal civil war about 10 years ago you still have meny people who have a fair bit of support if a war went off. Mainly things like the Church, Drug lords, Political officals etc but main players will be the Goverment and the RSRA and the Church.
If you feel you want to try and invade go ahead (but it would be harder then you think), but be warned the populas itself is a mean fighting force. over 50% are trained with some form of weapon with atlest 50% of them (25% of total pop) in some kind of local millita, some even Ex Colonial Marines and Ex Spec Ops Colonial Marines.info on the RSCM and RSCSM can be found in the fact book (link in sig).

Jack looked around, the nation around him was going to hell in a hand basket. He needed international support to cool the situation, some form of peace keeper force but like hell anyone would come here. Matial law was inplace with a cerfew put in place, with orders to shot to kill if anyone is found to be outside it between the hours of midnight and 6am. the cerfew started at 8pm giving people a minimal of 4 hours to conviced a marine what they were doing outside but after that it didnt matter if you had to see your dieing mother you outside after midnight you where dead.
He out the window, the sky scraper looked over the city of RavenGrad and the rubble of the scraper that was the HQ of Bio Tech Corp and the appartment block next to it. blue lights flashed as emergancy crews worked tirelss to help anyone who might have survied but it was unlikely. he turned away, he couldnt bear it looking at the crown of RavenStad that could soon turn into a warzone with the rest of the nation.
"Mr presidant, we're ready" the aid said poping his head round the door.
Jack didnt say anything, he took a deep breath and sighed then walked to the Vidio room. once there he sat down pulling out his notes and speech waiting till he was told to go.

"Ladys and gentlemen of the world and Ravens of RavenStad, our nation is on the brink of the worst thing to happen in over 15 years. as meny of you know the RSRA has pushed the goverment harder and harder and yet we didnt respond since lose of life was minimal. but today the RSRA went to far, in there recent attack over 2,000 people, men women and children were killed in there attack. Devideding the nation in 3 and pushing us to the point of near civil war, and it is for this reason i plade for the help of the international comunity to help keep the peace in our nation. i say this with a heavy heart but with out help this nation will be forced into civil war and i do not wish to be the one to order the attacks once it starts. I do not want to force our people to kill each other and ruin this small nation, as it stand the 1st army, the 1 and only army of RavenStad is active and forces being deployed. The RSAF have been given orders and the RSRN has deployed coast guards incase of outside influance. i have given the deadline to the other factions, stand down in 3 days or be forced down. We will not fire the first shot but we will finish this fight and by all might god we will stop this problem one way or another our goverment was installed by the people for the people and only the people will take it away to be replaced."
he finished up with more things asked and wanted and tryed reasoning with the RSRA and the church but more then anything he hoped to hell that outside help would come.
