Neomas stance on women in the Military

Neoma

After a out-cry from women all over Neoma, the lead council of The Grand Ruler and the lead Generals the Neoman Military has set out these guidelines for women who want to become part of the Neoman military.

1.All women will have the same physical requirements of male recruits EX: The standard is 65 Push-ups for Males so women who want to be in the Neoman Military will have to do 65 Push-ups

2.Before going into a combat zone women must have their Vaginal walls medically sealed to prevent Rape from both the Enemy and other Neoman Soldiers. (This procedure is quick easy and painless and can be reversed and causes some discomfort ans swelling but no pain) The women must also take a anti menstruation pill..or a Birth Control pill (some will ask if this is extreme but without somewhere to come out where will it go, if you cant figure out what I'm talking about you really need to get you head out of your....nevermind)

3. All women realize that they will be put into a regular platoon and will receive no special treatment just because her reproductive organs are on the inside...basically they can be NJPed

*Brusca reads, her eyebrows raised.....
Then, her smile turning into a huge grin she begins to chuckle and the chuckle begins to turn into a laugh and then a huge below which brings her sisters over to her. She passes the paper over to them....*

"Here........read this," she gasps trying to stop herself from choking on her laughter.

Director of Military Affairs Angela Sforza rolled her eyes. "Ben, cut a copy of this announcement for my meeting with the Assembly, would you? I think maybe this kind of extreme measures should shut Hastings up about forcing the Infantry to accept female applicants. These lads in Neoma must have a serious population problem-or an aggression problem..."
Ben Swan, the Director's assistant, read the clipping. "Ewwww... they can do that? ugh."

She shrugged, "Yeah... I guess they think they can-though I don't think there's anyone who's not going to shoot their people just 'cause there are a few daredevils who couldn't cut it as aviators in the mix."

Ben nodded, "Yeah... say, boss, you said you needed to get your hours up..."

Angela nodded, "Yeah, cancel my other appointments today, I'm going down to the airbase, see if I can't get checked out on the new Gripen, you know, to stay sharp..."

He nodded, "Right ma'am..."

The Official Martens Kaiserreich Government Statement regarding this issue is as follows: "Ewww.....poor women....**The Kaiser shudders lightly**"

(Needless to say sexism in Kaiser Martens is nonexistant)
Tanara

Empress Michiko read section 2 and shuddered, thinking to herself 'Those poor women. and no one thought of other ...openings available?' She blanched slightly 'Oh Great Gnuz, I hope they don't... If you are going to go into combat and you don't realize that rape is a possibility and have thought about how to deal with it then you shouldn't be in combat. I wonder if those brilliant gentlemen though of the fact that females have daily discharges, for cleasning that area, and what about the urethera, that lies with in the vagina as well. Are they condemned not to pee?'

She was glad her son wasn't there to see the look of disgust on her face.

Also needless to say ... sexism? Whats sexism? The Empress was one of the top tactical ops agents in Tanara & seen her share of combat before becoming Empress.

*Brusca sits with her sister Valkyrja, they have had a long serious conversation*

"I don't know what if anything I or we can do about it and yes I know, they call us barbaric, but it is their nation not ours."

*There is an uproar again.*

"Yes I know we fight alongside the men and I know we do our work without hinderance and I know other nations in our region would be at best horrified, goodness knows what the Sisterhood would say if they saw this........Look mutilation of women in this way IS NOT acceptable, but as I said it is their nation."

Strategos-Surgeon Joseph Cohen of the Verdant Archipelago United Armed Forces, Medical Corps stared blankly at the report in his hand. He looked up at the aide who handed him the report. The lieutenent was standing stock still, but her face was turning red and there was a suspicious glint in her eye. The Strategos's eyes narrowed. "Is this a joke?"

The lieutenent managed to choke out a, 'No sir." Her shoulders were quivering.

"Hmm... I suppose it's a solution, how would you feel about undergoing the operation yourself? Seems well thought out to me." The lieutenent froze still, and the glint faded from her eye. Without changing expression, she managed to radiate horrified outrage, until she saw the Strategos's small smile. "I suppose we ought to actually seal all orfices of all soldiers, for the same reason. Though that would make eating and.." Here he broke down laughing, and the lieutenent joined him.

The memo, with its copy of the announcement by the Neomans, floated through the Beaurocracy to finally land on the Director of Defense, Helene Lear's, desk.
Dr. Lear read it... then, she read it again.
"Wow... they really don't like their own women." she commented, "No value at all-putting them through invasive surgeries, and then expecting them to fight as infantry??" she was both apalled, and disgusted. Disgusted by the surgeries described, and apalled that any nation could so undervalue it's women as to actually make them fight on the ground, like common men.

She took the matter up with President of the Assembly Gregir Halvorssen over lunch. He turned a remarkable shade of bilious green when she described the procedure, and its potential impact. "Good god, Helene, I'm eating, do you mind? I've already talked to Hastings and his bunch, and told them that the policy is not changing-especially with this sort of...'thinking'. As far as I, and the General Staff, are concerned, women belong in three places in the military-As Pilots, Medical staff, and Intelligence. They simply aren't disposeable enough to waste on infantry or ground-combat missions... you don't need to show me this to make your point."

Now that the Kaiser and the Government have recovered from the sheer Grossness and general disgust with some nausea caused by the matter, they actually decide to make a proper Official Statement:

"We find that situation to be very degrading towards the Women of your land, and also very foolish, because what would they do if they feel the need of letting their urine out? Not to mention other fluids, your solution is extremely anti-higienic and is just an excuse to keep women away from your army, we at Kaiser Martens find your procedure quite pitiful as much as it is also ineffective. It's naive to beleive they won't be raped, because there is still another viable way through which that could take place. And it is sexist as well to just assume that your Female soldiers will be weaker than your Male soldiers. Here in the Reich women enjoy the same rights as Men, even in the army, and there are very few cases of raping, and at times although it may seem weird, it's men that have been raped. I suggest that you think your policies over and avoid this barbaric atrocity towards the females. You should be ashamed, but it's your nation after all."

Quite the.. poor plan, at best.
Forcing women to meet the same standards as men is no real accomplishment, it's been the normal procedure here ever since women were incorporated into combat units, approxemetly 3100 years ago.
As for rape, I don't know why you are worried, I would personally feel piety for any enemy soldier who tried to rape a woman in one of the armed forces.. espically a Marine.
As for the rest.. I'd rather avoid your blatant lack of information on female biology. But I do strongly suggest you review that idea.
