IC: The small planet of Nirs sat in it's own small system, unaware of what was to happen next. A rift in space appeared close to the New York State sized planet and 7 Taledonian battle cruisers entered the system. The ships started heading towards the primitive planet.

"Sir, we've arrived!" called a crewman to Admiral Dorn, captain of the cruiser High Horizon and commander of the Taledonian fleet.

"That was fast," Dorn replied, "Scan the planet, find out exactly what's going on down there."

"Yes, sir." The crewman started pressing buttons on his consol and after a minute reported,

"Sir, there appears to be a thunderstorm on the planet that is interfearing with our scanners. We can confirm however, what previous long range scans have reported, that the planet is very primitive. They still use swords and shields and live in huts. It should be easy to take the planet."

"Conquer the planet and be home in time for tea." Dorn laughed, "Send down our first wave."

From the cruiser, 20 transports and 15 TF-20 fighters left one of the ships hangers and headed down towards the planet as all the cruisers took orbit around the planet.

On the surface of the planet, two of the four tribes were about to charge each other. Arrows and catapult fire filled the gray and clouded sky. The fire on the arrows was having a tough time staying lit because of all the rain. With it being almost night, and the sky being covered with clouds, the busy warriors did not notice the shapes in the sky. Both sides started charging each other and clashed at the center of the valley which was picked as the battleground.

The group of ships flew through the foggy sky, having to rely almost solely on their radars. They continued to drop lower to the ground when suddenly, a large flaming rock hit one of the fighters square in the cockpit. Unfortunatly, the fighter did not have it's shields on and was destroyed. It erupted into a ball of flames as the other ships left the fog and got close enough to the ground to see the warring tribes.

"This is gold leader, hostiles on ground, shields up! Fire on targets, clear a space for our transports!"

The fighters started opening up on the startled barbarians. After a few seconds all the warriors started running in fear, not caring in which direction they were running, or with who they were running. They left all their siege equipement and cleared the area. The transports and fighters landed and unloaded. The men started setting up a perimeter by positioning small shield generators around their ships.

The men ran back to the closest camp they could find, it didn't matter if they were at a rival tribes village, they were terrified! The village eldars listened to eachs story and some decided that these things were demons, sent by the devil, and others thought that they were warriors sent by the gods to help out the tribe. Either way, they were curious. Riders were sent out to each of the tribes and they all agreed to assemble all their people, and go to the valley to see these things. The total population of the planet, 18 000, marched towards the spot. They came to the top of the valley and peered down at the strange beings walking around inside a transparent blue barrier. They began to walk down into the valley cautiously, trying not to draw attention to themselves, seemingly missing the fact that they were in such big numbers.

Private Jensen sat down on a weapons crate to eat his energy bar. He took a bit and looked up to view his new surroundings when he saw the people of Nirs coming down into the valley. Stupified at the large number facing him, he stuttered a bit as he called over the rest of the troops.

"Gu..Gu..Guys! You might want to take a look at this!"

Three soldiers walked over,

"What is it?" one said as he followed Jensens stare. His horrified expression was covered by his helmet. They all grabbed their blaster rifles and fixed aim on the incoming peoples. They opened fire on them, attracting the attention of everyone else, who got up and started firing their rifles too.

Once again, the Nirsians ran in terror from the strangers. That would be the last time they would go close to the beings with peaceful intent.

Once back at their villages, the elders of each tribe discussed important matters. They all agreed to form together and become one tribe. They would begin constructing a capitol village with high stone walls and actual wooden houses. All able-bodied men would be trained in the arts of war to provide extra troops to their nomadic army, which would attack these creatures in time.

More transports and fighters started leaving the cruisers and heading towards strategic spots on the planet. If outposts of troops and fighters could be set up successfully at all these locations, the planet would fall in a matter of minutes. All was looking good, for the moment, foreign ships could arrive any minute and try to save the planet, or take it for themselves...

A rumble filled the sky as a strange green line plummeted into the surface of Nirs. When the smoke cleared, a beeping green beacon was left in the newly formed crater. The beeping and flashing sped up, until it strangely stopped, and a new sound struck the air. The whooshing of fighters began to be present as Hydrogen-Land DRED Kamikaze fighters flew into the surface. Chunks of Nirs were blown to oblivion. The sky's rang out with the sound of firing, and Bombs were sent to the surface, Hydrogen technology at it's finest, not only destroying the area, but radiating it. The sounds stopped, and the radioactive landscape glowed slightly. Pods dropped from above, and Hydrogen-Land containment units gathered any surviving Nirsinians and as quickly as they came, departed. This was the first wave...

The Drow Kingdom of Gareth Lodias had never had a stable Government, most rulers would kill the king to gain more power then out of any need. Smiling to himself as he did, Killian watched as his Battle Force Mustered. Ten Thousand warriors strong, had mustered to his houses call, and now he had a small fleet to boot as well. In the moment he would load his ships up, and then he would be ready. Nirs would soon be his.
