Chaos erupts after Acridia's government banns all forms of Socialism

Late in getting an authorization to mobilize troops, Ben Locksley, King of Acridia, sighs heavily in his palace chambers.

An elderly butler walks over to the King and hands him a glass of water.

"Something troubling you sir?" The elderly man asked

"Yes Smyth...back during the days of my grandfather, he would have had no problem authorizing war instantly. Now I must wait for days and listen to piety partison bickoring in the senate. I cannot believe that a few of the proveinces still vote for the Socialist canuadates...after all we fought for to remove them from power." The young king sighed

"Your grandfather was a good man, and it was an honor to serve under him, the last of Acridia's absolute monarchs. But times change my king. Today's world is a world of speeches and majority votes, not Kings and Castles. The people see Democracy being propped up all around the world now, and its only natural that they'd want a modern form of government." Smyth said

"Remember the slogan of the revulution? Morality is more important than freedom. I thought Acridia had left behind pure Democracy. But all the more I see the senate pushing for more and more political power. The youth of the country trend more and more towards the Socialist party everyday. It won't be long till they are voting age, and then, my Moralist party will be swiftly voted out of office, and all I fought for will be undone." The King said

"Then ban the Socialists, as you banned the National Socialists a few months ago after the Neo-Nazi and National Socialist party riots, which was my idea orginally if you can recall. If you ask me, all political theorys which owe their credit to Marx are bad news sir." Smyth said

"You know what Smyth...your absolutely correct. I can't believe I didn't think of it sooner. Since the Socialists are also the ones blocking our war resulution, and voted against Acridia joining the moral allaince, we will have not only eliminated the risk of the country going back to the way things were before the Revulution, but we will have giving nearly complete control of the country to where it belongs...myself and the Moralist party. Sure the people can have their democracy...but I won't allow any party that goes against what this country stands for to have any political influence."

.................................................................................................... ....

Following the shocking announcement that the Socialist party was immediately disbanded, mass youth riots rememscience of the 1960s in the United States quickly erupted all around the country, but especially in Acridia's more liberal provences. The Socialist party leaders vowed to fight the bann and retake the government, which in there minds was viewed to be rightfully theirs. Calls for "Peace not War" and "Freedom is more important than Morality" echoed across college campuses and High Schools threwout the country.

But then something unexpected happened. The National Socialist party leader, Alaster Torgus, spoke at one of the Socialist party conventions. Ignoring the booing from the crowd, the political leader announced that he had changed sides and saw the light politically.

He then went on to make a speech with some would later saw highjacked the Socialists for Peace movement..a speech which called for a change not only in Government, but in the Socialist party itself:

"For too long, Socialists and Greens around the world have been walked on, laughed at. Sure...in Europe, we see Socialism rampant threwout the continent. At first glance, this is a good thing, however..do not be fooled. What looks like Socialism is really a slow way of those governments to revert to a National Socialist module not seen since the days of Nazi Germany. And what do these so called "Socialists" do about the enviriment around the world? Nothing. They sign treatys to protect the rain forest and reduce pollution, but all the while these treatys are limited in order to protect the industries and economy of their own countries. Let us beware the so called other side of the Socialist paradox as well, the so called Communism. Where it seeks to eliminate social classes, but instead puts everyone in poverty, except for the government that enforces it. Fellow citizens of Acridia..I emplore you to listen to my words. The Earth is dying...slowly but surely. The Rain Forests are dissapearing. Sure..in this country they are the envy of the world..at least our "Moral" leaders have the sence enough to protect that, but other nations view natural habitats as nothing more than sources of fuel. Many once lush nations are now wastelands and deserts, home to more vultures and scorpions than people. If we want to save the world...we must fight for it! Pacifism will only harm the earth. So my friends...we stand at a crossroads."

Shortly afterwards, the Green Socialist Party was born, and vowed not only to overthrow Acridia's government, but the governments of all nations, vowing to militantly defend the last remaining natural habitats on earth.

A second civil war in Acridia seemed to be on the horizon..

To: Ben Locksley, King of Acridia
From: Großherzog Karl von Zuberbühler IX

We have closely followed the recent events of Acridia, and we see the outlawing of the marxist followers as a great step in your country's development towards the future, as well as the previous banning of the neo nazi scum.
Unfotunately we have noticed that this have led to some people in your country asking for a militant removal of Your highness.

I, and the people of Nieder Ostland, who believes in monarchy, and seems to have somewhat the same views as You, hopes that you will crush this rebellion. If you should need any help, military, equipment or otherwise, please do not hesitate to ask.
We will continue to monitor the events in your country closely, and hope that this rebellion will be dealt with swiftly.

Yours

Großherzog Karl von Zuberbühler IX
