Today, the Supreme Court has announced that ViZion will continue to uphold executions of criminals who commit horrid crimes, such as murder or rape. The decision comes after public outcry over the findings that an innocent 19 year old women was executed at the chair on three charges of murder, and two charges of child molestation.
"We will continue to uphold our long tradition of executing those who commit crimes that are to cruel for words. This is among the things that have kept ViZion among the safest places in the world to live and visit as crime is totally unknown." said Joan Timmer, a Supreme Court Justice.
Four men and three women currently await execution. The first is scheduled for two days from now, with the last scheduled for 24 days from now. Those put on Death Row rarely have over a month to live, and in many cases only one to two weeks.
The ways in which execution is permitted in ViZion is by hanging, electric chair, gas chamber, or the needle. On rare occations, the firing squad is used, with flogging to death and stoning to death being alternatives to that.
