Official Invitation for the 's Gravenwezel Congress from the Count
During the Conference in Harlack to conclude the Harlack war between Harlack Mensa and ourselves, the Commonwealth of De Vlaamse Leeuw, we saw the necessity to talk about a peace pact between the Commonwealth and other nations, and perhaps even friendship, good trade relationships and a militairy coöperation.
The conference will start tomorrow in the afternoon (somewhere around 12 am gmt). Anyone interested, just rp the arrival of your diplomate...
(btw, Dumpsterdam isn't invited ;-))

Will Ollieland invite the Harlack Countries, because you might be better placed to do that, as we are kinda not the best friends with Harlack at the moment ;)? I invited Harlack Mensa already

As host I think it would be in your own best interests to invite them yourself. It would probably also go a long way to restoring friendly relations between yourselves rather than going through a third party.

Republican Peace-Keeping Taskforce

As an interested party wishing to see the end to all conflicts between Harlack and De Vlaamse Leeuw, we would also like to send a representative to this conference in support of our trusted ally Ollieland.

Around noon, the well known ally of count Kristof I Hobbezak, named Gerhardt Küsterholz, arrived at 's Gravenwezel Castle. He had some other business to discuss with the count, so he was happy that the congress was postponed.

Dr. James Brighton strode up to the gates of 's Gravenwezel Castle. When challenged by the guard, he produced a small ivory card.

The guards eyebrows rose, almost imperceptibly. "Very well, Dr. Brighton. I will inform the Count."

"I thank you," he said, taking a step forward. He then stopped, turned towards the guard and asked politely: "May I ask you a personal question?"

The guard was taken aback, but then caught himself. "What would that be."

"You seem worried. Is there a family member who has been a cause of some concern for you of late?"

The guard eyes almost popped. He then composed himself and said, "Yes. My son's grades at the University have fallen. He's always been a good student until now."

Dr. Brighton smiled and nodded. "But now he seems not to care so much for his studies - or for his friends, or anything else, right?"

The guard could not help but look startled. "Now that you mention it..."

The professor nodded again. "We find this happens a lot with our students, and it's not always a matter of being homesick. Sometimes the transition from youth to young adult isn't easy, even in an otherwise healthy person.

"Your son is very likely depressed," Dr. Brighton finished. "You can have him take St. John's Wort in the interim, but have him see a doctor as soon as he can."

With that, he went into the castle.

How did he know? wondered the guard. Just how did he know?
