Credonia

Credonian Department of State, Secretary of State's Office; 8:30 pm CST
It had been a long exhausting day. Waking up at 5:30 in the morning to attend a regular briefing on diplomatic relations with various members of her staff, sending and delivering diplomatic messages to and from Credonia and other nations, lunch with the President, only to come back from lunch around 3 pm to hold meetings and additional briefings with various members of state and foreign nations. Lauren Smith, the Credonian Secretary of State was used to the routine and she knew the day wasnt over yet, so she didnt over exert herself.
It was 8:30 in the evening, Credonia time, when the red phone on her desk rang. She immediately recognized it as the Presidential line, a direct link from the Presidential Palace's Presidential Office to her private office in the State Department building. She quickly picked up the phone.
"Good evening Mr. President. Still working hard even as the night slowly comes to a close, eh?"
"You got that right Lauren. How's everything going over there at the State Department?"
"Good sir. Nothing major happening. We're still keeping an eye on that Dumpsterdam mobilization situation, but there have been no major developments with that. We are still awaiting a response from their leader."
"Very well. I'll hold off on giving my speech about the specifics of Credonia's mobilization until we get word of exactly what we are going to be mobilizing for. Well, I was just checking in to see if there were any developments."
"OH! Theres one other thing sir. The nation of Rommelwood has requested an exhange of ambassadors with Credonia. Since we have absolutly no relations with them, I went ahead and took it upon myself to authorize the exchange of ambassadors. That alright with you sir?"
"Of course Lauren. I trust you well enough to know that whatever you do, you do it in the best interest of Credonia and out of loyalty to me, and I appreciate that. Hmm, well, since you've authorized the exchange of ambassadors, perhaps we should invite the leaders of Rommelwood to Credonia to establish peaceful relations. You never know, we could even make a new friend and ally."
"Absolutly right, sir! Shall I contact the Rommelwood government and invite them to Credonia?"
"By all means, please do. Notify me right away when they respond."
"Will do Mr. President."
"Is that all you have for me?"
"Yes sir. Get some rest tonight. We have a big day ahead of us tomorrow, especially with a possible war brewing."
"Yep, I will. Good night Lauren."
"Good night sir."
With that, Lauren returns the reciever to the phone. She sits pondering what to say in her message to the leaders of Rommelwood. She soon piees together what she will say, turns to her computer, and begins drafting the message.
UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF STATE
From: Lauren R. Smith, Secretary of State, Credonia
To: Leader of Rommelwood Government
Subject: Invitation
Dear leader(s) of Rommelwood,
It is with great pleasure to announce that an ambassador representing the Credonian government, along with builders to establish an embassy within your nation's Capital are already enroute to your nation at this time. To further open and build peaceful relations with your government, your people, and in essence, your nation, on behalf of the President of the United States of Credonia, President Kaimoni A. Sutton, the top leaders of your government are invited to Credonia to attend a bilateral summit meeting with the President and myself to discuss Credonia-Rommelwood relations. While we can guarantee nothing at this time, please make note of the fact that President Sutton is very enthusiastic about opening relations with your nation and will surely look forward to your leader's visit, as do I, should you decide to take up our invitation to come. We eagerly await your response and how you do take up our invitation. Please respond ASAP as the President has a busy schedule ahead of him, and note when your leaders will be available to come to Credonia for this summit meeting.
Signed,
Lauren R. Smith
