Soldiers: Because the toxic air and water tend to limit a persons, well, ability to live, promising young male babies are taken at birth and trained, indoctrinated, and tested until they are 22 years old. At that time, they are issued their combat gear and sent to the front, wherever that might be at the time. This method of mustering soldiers is very expensive, and therefore they are given the best equipment around, in order to ensure that they live as long as possible. We recoup some of our money during peace times, when half the military acts as policeman.

These are only used when fighting in other countries. When fighting at home, the following gear is used:

Einhauser has a lot of shore to protect. Although we have a small fleet, it is not enough to be any real help against an invasion force. Therefore, EInhauser has constructed a series of seven "seabases", which are giant oil-rig like forts 50 miles off the coast of Einhauser.

Each is supported by eight giant columns hammered into the bedrock on the ocean floor, although the platforms do not rest on he columns. Instead, they are built around them, with a large amount of flexible parts anchoring the bases to the pillars. That way, they can survive storms and still launch ships from their three internal main docks.

The first dock is for commercial fishing ships and ocean liners. The second is for military ships, and it can hold anything from ten destoyers all the way up to a Nimitz class carrier. The third dock is a good ways underwater, and is for military submarine use only. There are a number of smaller docks and piers jutting from the main base.

The base's offensive armament includes an airstrip large enough to land medium bombers, several hundred Cruise missile tubes, three ICBM tubes, twenty 330mm guns, and enough torpedos and depth charges that there is almost no chance of a ship slipping past.

Defensive measures include scores of SAMs and gattling towers (http://img203.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img203&image=gatttower23ey.jpg) . One squadron of aircraft are permanantly stationed at each base, along with several ASW and attack helicopters.

If a ship somehow mananges to slip past the seabases, there is one more line of defense before they reah the shore. The 50 miles of seafloor between the shore and the bases are studded with hundreds of sensor systems. Whenever the systems detect unwanted vessels, they release a disposable tube with one torpedo inside. When the torpedo is 100 ft from the surface, the tube splits open and the torpedo fires toward the ship.

This system can be turned off and on via control stations located on both the mainland and all seven of the bases. In case one of the bases should be captured, Jason Green holds override codes to the whole system.

The project took 19 years and $30.3 trillion to complete.
