We need a eleven maximum countries to sign up they'll each have a group of systems. Some territories only have one system, but that probably means it has a lot more resources. Rest assured everyone will start out pretty evenly.

Name the group of systems that you would like, and your colors.

Uncontrolled systems will be grey.

For technology, the halo novels are a good reference I think.

1. Miniroth: Nairobi Settlements. Orange.

2. Khiraebanaa: Ceti Territories. Dark Blue.

3. Kooluk: Plato Systems. Crimson.

4. Caealan: Eisenhower Sector. White.

5. Nebarri Prime: Varu Triad Territory. Green.

6. Aminantinia: Abdallah Star Systems. Dark Green.

We'll make sure we have more than half of the galaxy settled, then we'll make a new thread for the rp.

The picture on the left is of political territories, the right just shows boundaries.

do we have to use tech from Halo or halo novels or what ever

Would it be possible for me to participate, using the group in the top right hand corner there? I think it says Plato Systems, but I'm having a little bit of difficultly reading it on my screen.

And I'm going to consider this seperate from my normal RPing, but still with the same nation. Don't worry, I can manage it without confusing anything up.

And, the human tech from halo is good, I just dont want it to be ultra advanced like star wars (lasers and such). Freelancer is a good option too, but not the laser part.

yeah, halo tech sounds pretty good. the whole laser thing gets very annoying as people try to god-mod it to death.

i just so happen to have never played halo

perhaps i could use some weapons similer to that of a N64 game (perfict dark) and one gun from the game time spliters 2 thay are all none lasers and sumthing more advanced than todays weapons

Yeah, think really advanced, but still modern for infantry weapons. Space battles, i guess you can make up your own ships, but keep them within reason. One fighter can't take down a cruiser. Won't work.

Main weapons should be, but are not limited to: Missiles and warheads of various
destructive capabilities, laser defense systems (aren't invincible), no shields (such as energy) and point defense would probably be centered around some kind of AA gun, like an advanced form of flak or something. Some kind of high powered cannons are cool too, like MAC's but not nearly of that power. My suggestion is to use these basically as chassis, and you can make variations for your army. Remember, godmodding sucks.

Also, artificial intelligence's can be used. They're to help ships maneuver, and handle point defense, missile firing solutions, but they can't fight a battle by themselves, and they're limited. You wouldn't be able to have every ship in your fleet (unless it's extremely small) have its own AI.

Ship to planet bombardments would be totally sweet.

Those are acceptable grounds to develop weaponry for a culture within. I see quite a bit of potential in this and hope that it goes on for a fair time.

Okay, I'll start the actual RP thread tonight, be there. If you've got a friend or two, invite them but make sure they check this and sign up first, or they will probably just get deleted from the story RP. I'll TG everyone about the name of the thread.
