The room was quite as Dr. Alexai Kolenski stood before them all. His arms gently rested on the podium as the people from Communist Brazil, Pacitalia, Parthia, USSHR, Hrstrovokia, Camel Eaters, Ottoman Khaif, and a few other sat at their assigned seats.

At each seat sat a small, unopened file. As the men filed in to the conference hall, the doors were tightly locked and the man recording the minutes was ordered to go outside and away. The cameras were turned off in the room, and all un-needed men were removed.

Finaly, Dr. Kolenski began to speak, "Ah... Yes, okay. You have all come here today from an official invite from the Political Bureau. I'm sure some of you have heard rumors of the Fabusist fronts in Caelta and former Mississippian Territories. Due to this - and to honour the Motherland - I have constructed - with good blessings from Comrade Troskin and Comrade Volgin - to create a new chemical weapons system as an alternative to the... more dire and collateral systems."

KX Nerve Gas
Scientific Name: O-ethyl2 S-(4-diisopropylaminoethyl) methylphosphonothioate type N.
Chemical Weapon Classification: Nerve Gas
Means Of Administering: Aerodynamics, chemical missiles, or binary munitions

KX has the texture and feel of high-grade motor oil with its low viscosity, and its low volatility. This makes it especially dangerous, as it has a high persistence in the environment. It works as a nerve agent by blocking the function of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase. Normally, an electric nerve pulse would cause the release of acetylcholine over a synapse that would touch the post-synaptic neuron. This continues - and accelerates - the transmission of a nerve signal over the synapse. The excess acetylcholine is then hydrolyzed to non-reactive substances (acetic acid and choline). KX blocks acetylcholinesterase's diffusing properties, thus causing nerves to fire continuously resulting in contractions of all the "involuntary" muscles in the body.

Eventually, the victim suffers from a number of disabling properties. Violent seizures disable the victim by churning him or her about until causing paralysis after severing key nervous pathways. The victim can stay concious if the spinal cord or brain stem are not severed. The usual cause of death is either heart attack or respritory failure. Due to the violent and persistant involuntary muscle contractions, the muscles constrict causing the heart to seize and eventually fail due to inability to pump enough oxygen to the brain and extremities. Or, the diaphram stays constricted, not allowing the victim to inhale oxygen or exhale carbon dioxide.

KM Nerve Gas

KM has the texture and feel of high-grade motor oil, much like KX. This makes it extremely deadly. Unlike KX however, KM continues the flow of acetylcholinesterase. But, where KX continues the electric impulse, KM ceases it, flooding the nervous pathways with acetylcholinesterase, ceasing the functions of the other neural transmitters. This immediately causes heart failure and brain trauma.

The usual cause of death for victims of KM is cardiac arrest, vegatative degeneration, or brain failure. Either the victims heart and lungs - not to mention all major internal organs - simple fail due to overloading and simply shutting down; Or the victims nervous system immediately ceases to function, placing them into a vegatative state which due to the continuous flow of the specific neural transmitter, causes the brain to overload with signals, eventually shutting down from 'exhaustion' due to trying to process the onslaught of nerual transmitters. Yet, more likely, the victim will immediately slip into an unconcious state due to the brains incapability to process the neural transmitter overload.

"Hello Comrades. As I am sure you know, the USSR has been actively seeking a destruction of the plague known as Fabusism. A man by the name of Roger Fabus, former Czar of the Mississippian Territories, constructed this idealogy of hate. The Politcal Bureau has given the official order to destroy this plague by any means needed. Yet, due to the danger of other weaponry - mostly because of collateral damage - the K-Series nerve agents have been manufactored. These - while they can cause collateral - if targetted on key rebelion and military installations, can cause a collateral-less operation to insue, crushing Fabusism.

Now, these weapons were not merely constructed for offense against Fabusism, Fascism, and Nazism, but also as defense. Western European forces are spurring up a hellstorm which could possibly lead to war. Columbian guerillas in South America could launch an attack on the Peruian SSR if they chose. Thus, the K-Series is planning to be used against the opposition forces to the Communist Bloc. Now I know, several of you are not communist - such as Parthia - but due to your loyalty and the fact you border us to the south, you have been invited.

The Military Affairs Commissariat is willing to sell single ton barrels for 500 USD each, but, the price is varying..."

Dr. Ignacio Arencar Genoino was the head advisor of Research and Development for the FPCB, and was well known for being the brain behind the massive, hugely successful nuclear energy program, that powered almost half of South America. A crowning achievement to the former bicycle mechanic.

He listened carefully, writing down on his notepad a few, interesting point, as the PowerPoint presentation was given as they spoke. He was rather interested, and noted the fiery conviction behind this, hated of Fabusism. As he finished, Genoino raised his hand, and when acknowledged, leaned into the microphone as delegate from Communist Brazil and asked a question.

"What are the chances of the chemical weapon exited the desired area of effect?"

He then followed up with another.

"Is this suitable for tactical attacks on military targets? Or is it inevitable that civilian casualties will occur?"

"Before, I answer, please, memorise those notes, then hand them over to the Praetorian Guard behind you. Nothing in this meeting is to leave this room.

Now, under radical testings, if there is a 20MPH wind during the deployment, the farthest the agents got before depleting into nothingness, was twenty miles. But that is under extreme circumstances. It is otherwise, a safe weapon to use.

And for your second question: Depends really how close they are to civilians. I'd say it would work good against tactically reachable targets, but it really depends on the situtation."

Admiral Dr. Roberto Mangiomare, head of the Warfare Strategies Authority in the Pacitalian Armed Forces, sat in his chair, mesmerised by the sheer ingenuity of the Soviets on this chemical warfare solution. This was unlike anything he and his colleagues in the WSA had ever seen. One of the two formulae was capable of killing in under twenty seconds; the other caused a slow, painful death!

The time for questions came and Dr. Mangiomare raised his hand.

"Is there a backup if the canisters which release the perforational agents clog or malfunction?"

"Depends if you made them to do so. We simply design the weapon, no the deployment system. But, if you must know, the WDS-A50 we use, if ever to clog - and it hasn't - will self-destruct, releasing the chemical into the air anyway."

Dr. Verde Fer took in a deep breath of air looking over the reports. Sitting back in his chair he released it slowly. Drawing in another breath he collapsed forward and was tight lipped as his hand traced a pattern in the air. Connecting invisible lines and dots he rubbed his temples and stood.

This is a disaster one would be better to avoid. Going through with the processes listed in the documents before me will lead to our deaths. Most assuredly men and women at this table will all die. Every last one if we go through with this. Now I am willing to die to stop these villains. Are you?

He sat down slowly the chair beneath him creaking as his voice settled and he took in another deep breath...............

"Alrighty then, doctor... We will not die. Our enemies will. But either way, I'm guessing you are supportive of further developement and research of the K-Series Chemical Weapons Program, yes? Good. If blade comes to blade, we may need to use territory of yours - Alabama for example - to launch pre-emptive strikes against the Kahtan territories."

Lord Marshall Rostam Bahari looked at the packet and spoke, "Impressive, our own stocks of VX, Sarin, Soman, Hydrogen Cyanide, and other toxic gas. Is this agent for sale? So the Parthian Military has better weapons?"

"Yes," spoke the Marshal, "For five hundred US dollars per one ton barrel."
