Duniash City, Chambers of the Senate, 4 o'clock in the afternoon

Senators and Councillors alike where seated in the chambers of the Senate, something that only happened when an acute emergency was on hand and the Emperor was not available. Here the Senate and the Council would have to decide on a course for the Empire and its protectorates.

High Senator Taladas rose from his seat. "The Senate wishes to appoint Councillor Damocales as head of state, granting him the emergency powers to lead the Empire to war. A vote has been called by the Senate and will need a majority of 150 votes to pass."
The hands rose all over the circular chambers, fascists, militarists and conservatives where among the majority, the counter however stuck at 139 votes.

Taladas looked disappointed, as did several of the Senators but most notably was that none of the twelve members of the Council voted for this motion, not even Councillor Damocales who has the target of this vote.
"The motion to instate Councillor Damocales as head of state has been defeated; the Senate now turns the lead over to the Council to come up with their proposal."

Councillor Solar stood up as he looked around the two hundred strong Senate, his voice boomed through the chambers.
"The Council wishes to appoint Tanya Rift, heir to the throne as acting head of state in absence of her father. The Council urges the Senate to grant young Tanya emergency powers so she may lead the Empire to war against its enemies. This vote will require 150 votes to pass."

One by one the hands where raised, fascists, communists, militarists, liberals and conservatists alongside the twelve votes from the Council itself. The counter stuck at 196 and a cheer went up through the Senate's chambers.
"The motion has passed with a crushing 196 for majority, with 4 against. As of midnight tonight, the Council wil instate as Tanya Rift, as acting head of state, granting her the emergency powers to lead the country to war."

Councillor Solar sat down, his blood-brother Councillor Damocales rose from his seat as was the customs for those that spoke in the Senate. “With the instating of Tanya Rift as head of state, the Council calls for vote on the mobilisation of all forces available to the Empire and calling upon all of our allies to aide us in the coming fight. This vote will require the standard 150 for before it can pass the Senate.”

Just like the previous vote, hands shot up, most notably the militarists and the conservatists where the first to vote as fascists and communists eyed each other wearily, looking for their respective leaders for guidance. As both the fascists and the communist party leaders reluctantly raised their hands did the vote counter shoot up through the roof, passing the 160 for barrier.
“"The motion has passed with a notably 164 for majority, with 36 against. The mobilisation of all assets of the Empire will commence at once and a rallying call for our allies will go out at once.”
Damocales sat down, plans where set into motion, the first pieces in this mobilisation where Farmina and Guffingford and they would act soon.

On order of Empress Rift and the Imperial Council all army, airforce, navy and colonial forces are to mobilise at once. Staging area’s are Tallarn, Tempe and Gierling in the Isles and for all colonial forces the Netherlands Antilles will be made available.

Conceal your mobilisations as best as possible, the Empire does not need unwanted attraction to its efforts for now.

Eventhough the mobilisation would be done at a reasonable pace and the troops where camouflaging their equipment as best as possible there was the ever present danger of sattelites, eyes in the sky that the Dumpsterdanians used as well. More then a million men where on the move and this could not go undetected.

To our allies:

As of midnight tonight the Empire has started a full mobilisation and recalled of all its forces to the Isles, wartime production will instated and all foreigners are urged to leave the Isles at once if they do not hold any diplomatic positions for foriegn goverments.

The Empire has called upon all its allies to follow in its lead, calling out in particular to Aust, the Macabees and Credonia, other allies have already shown their support and are mobilising as we speak.

Where does the Empire need to mobilise too one asks? We will go where no invader has succeeded before and take back that what is ours, that what was taken away from us by the scum of this world and that same scum still hold him. We however will not disclose our target, yet, eventhough the most lacking among you can figure out who we will strike.

IC: A cold breeze blew through the air. A small amount brushed against Justinian’s face, he felt it, in the deepest parts of his body, like a foreboding sign.

Justinian could hear pounding up the steps to his throne room.

Then there was a pause. Justinian recognized this to be the messenger being stopped the guards.

Justinian looked over to his aide; they both knew what document was coming.

The footsteps resumed as the great doors swung open and a thin, yet short man in blue robes entered.

“For you my Lord Emperor,” said the messenger handing over the parchment, “The final council passed the Protection of Farmina Act, put six minutes ago. Remarkable that the Councils are sitting at this hour.”

By the time the messenger had finished blathering, Justinian had already signed the parchment and handed it back.

“I must speak to my people,” said the Emperor.



Within the hour, Justinian stood on the balcony, over the Great Hall:

“Fellow Farminans. I realize that these are uncertain times, but believe not everything you hear behind the shed. Farmina is not headed for civil war, nor are extremists blackmailing government officials and planning world conquest. Our enemies are not within, but out their, trying to destroy what we have worked so hard to build. I talk of the likes of Krioval and those who murdered my predecessor, not stopping to think of the consequences.

Today I have signed into action, by no easy measure, a bill that will see the full mobilization of the Farminan military. All conscription classes shall be recalled for retraining and the standing army shall be enlarged. I shall implement the Act’s secondary clause allowing a full war economy. Not a scrap shall be wasted in the coming times.

These are but just precautionary measures, we expected no attack from Krioval. I feel it is better to be safe than regretful. We are a strong nation, we must keep a strong will to match. God save Farmina.”

The crowd echoed the final phrase, but it was more hollow than usual, as though hope itself had been eaten out of the people.

A frighteningly familiar figure stepped up the grand stage built to honour the New United Reich of Guffingford. This would be the first major celebration organised by the new government led by Cobragt Rundevelt, the new Führer of Guffingford. Though his intentions are not yet known to the outside world, the differences between the old National Socialist regime and his type of reign are virtually nil. The party symbolism was the same, still the same face not giving away hints of its gender, gracefully overlooking the turmoil below. The hall was a dark, massive and crammed with people of all classes. United in solidarity, and no longer divided. Many things have happened during the civil war. Several orders of knights have fallen away into obscurity, others joined the ranks of the Brothers of the Sword. Adolph Leighmar has founded his own counter-Reich in south-east Asia, consisting of Indonesia and several smaller islands. It’s strange, yet… Why am I thinking of these developments? IC:we shall send half our avalible forces, around 2 million men to Dumpsterdam to protect your people, the over half of our forces will protect Aust. We are also introducing consription into our forces, every man and woman who got over 50% on our tests at the end of his/her conscription period is being called up, except for those over 45 and who are in important jobs.

Our econermy is moving to a full war econermy. If you should need it we shall send our full army into the black land ahead.

Royal Navy Warning

As of 06.00 today the Royal Navy has begun the mining of all major passages and the reinforcing of key islands leading into the region of Damnian, all ships are advised to use government sanctioned trading routes in order to prevent unnecessary loss of ships.

The Royal Navy also maintains a free-fire zone around the region at 40nm where any ships that do not identify themselves when requested will be fired upon entering will be at your own risk.

This is a full evacuation order, all those who are not part of the reserves or involved in the docks and manufacturing should leave the strip at once. Those who are part of reserves are ordered to there posts immidetly there you shall begin to make fortifications.

All commersial and non-millitary traffic is ordered to leave the ports and all main roads are for army veicals only. If you leave the city, use the railways only all other routes will be close.

All across Aust the legions began to march towards the Bambinio Strip, thousands upon thousands of men. In Aust city itself, the entire Deaths Head legion climbed abord there modified transports and moved out-flying for Dumpsterdam. In Dumpsterdam it's self 25 legions and 2 ASS legions had already arrived, 260,000 men marching ashore.

Credonia is alarmed by what is taking place in Dumpsterdam at this moment. At this time, we vehemently urge all Credonian citizens who are not foreign diplomats to leave Dumpsterdam at once. If unable to, Credonia will provide all the necessary travel arrangements to evacuate all Credonian citizens.

To the nation of Dumpsterdam, Credonia stand by you as a loyal ally and will mobilize forces to protect your island nation. President Sutton will be issuiing a statement shortly on what actions Credonia and the Credonian military will take. We do plan on sending forces in your defense, however, please send us information on where you need the most defense and any and all plans for a possible offense.

Two figures moved about in the caverns, making their way to the Chamber. Their large ox-blood shoes dug into the soft sand of the Sahara, their breathing barely audible, their full-length black robes wrapped around their bodies. Torches flickered as the angry, howling wind made the flames dance.

Several servants rushed over to tend to the two men, but they continued their long trek down the confined passageways, knocking down any imbecile who dared touch their robes.

After what seemed like forever, they found the War Room. Located at the center of the Nubian ruins, many feet underground, this was were Krekar spent his free time, looking at various maps, analyzing various strategies, desparately trying to stimulate the Armed Forces after years of decay.

"Yesss?...."

Although they had known him for years, his hissing voice still scared the two men.

"Lord, all we have is reports, rumours. Nothing solid yet."

"Reports.. about.. what.."

"War is brewing."

He moved a pawn on the chess-board before him before replying in an impersonal tone, "This world is full of vile creatures who scheme and plot all the time. War is forever brewing. Why would this concern me?"

A brown folder was laid before him. After minutes of careful reflection and, upon seeing the words "Excessively Armed Empire", "Invasion", "Dumpsterdam", and "Credonia" all in the same sentence, Krekar cracked a sly grin, his yellow teeth showing through his hood, his flaky skin changing expression. He then started chuckling.

"Close the door, will youuu?...." He looked up at one of the two silent figures, who moved a few steps back and proceeded to shut and secure the entrance to the room.

This conflict, is perhaps a terror that should not be unleashed upon the globe. His Majesty King George asks that Dumpsterdam reconsiders their position, and as a result the Empire has no choice but to maintain strict neutrality.

May god offer mercy in the coming conflict.

The Empire is flexing its military might alongside its allies, and has every right to do so. We will be conducting wargames with our allies, mainly the Guffordian Reich and the Guilds Empire inside our region and have so taken extra security measures.

As for a the British, Empress Tanya is interested in what you mean exactly? Surely the mobilisation of troops and conducting wargames is not a reason to start yet another world war?

On order of Empress Rift and the Imperial Council, Dumpsterdanian Missile Command is to begin scrambeling of all frequencies except those belonging to the military and the goverment. The Ministers mulled over the recent Credonian statement. They talked amongst themselves, quietly analyzing the implications of this declaration. "They are our allies as well, Edgar. Adding them to the list of nations targetted in Krekar's 'purification' of NATO enemies will surely compromise both our integrity and our image on the world stage."
