Yes yes, I am following the factbook trend.

Htrea Miseria
Htrae Miseria is comprised of a cluster of islands, each varying in size. The main, central Island is Htrae, the capital, and the official residence of the Royal Family.

Htrae had once been a complete Anarchy, but was soon converted to Monarchy upon the arrival of the de Faux's. Htrae Miseria is a rather young nation, and has still yet to grow, and perfect itself.

King Darius and Queen Aias de Faux are the official rulers of Htrae Miseria. They provide a fair rule, where each person is treated fairly, and as equals. Poverty will not be tolerated.

The de Faux family is descended from the oldest Celtic families, and they take pride in their origins. It is legend that the de Faux blood line is descendent of that of the Taltos - a mysterious being, whose origins are not well known.

Taltos: The known Facts

~Taltos are unusually tall - though this could have been overlooked. Humans could also grow to the same height.
~Taltos' hands are unusually big - this is their give away.
~A Taltos birth is very quick. It would take less then the human 9 months.
Once a Taltos is born, they grow, with a few hours, to their full potential. They look as if they are adults, though they are merely children, in the eyes of the Taltos.
~A Taltos is not immortal - their lives can span centuries, perhaps even mellennia, though theirs is a fragile race, thus the reason why the species is almost extinct.

(If you are an Anne Rice fan, any criticism or help on this topic would be greatly appreciated.)

Htrae Miseria: Religion
All religions are accepted amongst the people of Htrae Miseria. The nation prides itself in being mutlicutural, and otherwise accepting of outside cultures. The original inhabitants of Htrae Miseria, however, are wont to believe the old legends and myths surrounding the Celts, and the Dark Ages.

Ok. That is all for the moment. Questions will be gladly answered..

OOC: So you read Steven Brust?

No, I do not, though I think I might one day.

No, I read Anne Rice. She has Taltos in her books, associated with the Mayfair witches.. The Taltos that I am describing, do they sound like Steven Brust characters?

OOC: Vlad Taltos is the main character in Steven Brust's Jhereg series. Rather good read, sounds much like your nation. And I think you'd like the species introduced.
