This is a semi-open RP. If you wish to take part, please telegram me as to which side you wish to support, and I’ll get back to you. Other than that, this is my first civil war RP, and one of my friends will be along to help. Please respect these guidelines.

Pschycotic Pschycos, A.C. 195...

In a stunning press release, the Shogunate of Pschycotic Pschycos has released that their Research and Development Department had perfected the art of genetically engineering humans to improve certain natural flaws, making them faster, stronger, and smarter. Naturally, this created disorder and distrust among the general public as these altered humans were discovered. Literally overnight, terrorist organizations were formed. Then, the final straw snapped. It was discovered that Shogun Himura Kenshin, and all in his line of family had been genetically altered. In a fit of rage, General Sceptum, highest officer of the military, seized control, and declared martial law. His mobile suit forces began scouring the country, committing genocide. The royal family, along with the Altereds escaped into the nation’s space colonies to begin to seek a way to fight back…

They were not, however, without some support. All space forces, including the orbital fleets, mobile suit space corps., and the LIBRA OAP had been manned with Altereds, and were still loyal to the Shogun. On earth, they had little support. However, Admiral Isoruku Yamamoto III, long time friend of the Himura family, had secured the 8th Surface Fleet and had dropped off the radar. Though it looked like they were about to fight a losing battle, they were ready to preserve their nation, and the new race that had been formed from someone’s bad, or possibly good, decision…

As Arch-Chancellor of Greater Prussia, I demand to meet with Shogun Kenshin and General Sceptum to discuss this revolt. Hopefully we can come to a peaceful solution.

Lagrange Point 5, Colony Junius 7...

The transmission was received and promptly decoded by the military crew stationed there. The report was brought to the Shogun.
“Sir, do you think it’s safe to return to the earth with things in this…state?” the officer asked.
“Czar Andropov is a long time friend of this nation. I believe he can help us, so there is no reason to not trust him,” Shogun Himura replied.
“But do you think…” the officer asked quietly.
“General Sceptum is a man rooted in traditional thought, and is fiery to boot,” the Shogun replied. “He will probably not bend, but it never hurts. Now, ready a shuttle to earth.”
“Right away, Sir.” the officer said. Ten minutes later, the Shogun and a few guards arrived down at a hangar. The officer came back up to him, “Sir, two Astrays will accompany you to entry phase two. Then, you’re on your own.”
“Thank you, I’ll be fine.” the Shogun answered. He and his entourage boarded the shuttle and took off. Three hours later, they found themselves at the edge of the atmosphere.

Military General Command, Honimishu, Pschycotic Pschycos…

“General Sceptum, Czar Andropov of Derscon wishes to meet with you and the…former…Shogun,” an techie at a computer terminal said.
“Is that right?” the General said, more a statement than a question. The big man, physically intimidating, strode over to console. “He should know better. The only response we have is to kill the Altereds. All of them. He’s a deeply Christian man, he should be firing at these immoral, unchristian, sons of…”
The techie, realizing a rage was coming over the General, quickly cut him off, afraid to hear the rest, “What’s you response, Sir?”
“Eh, what the hell, can’t hurt.” the General replied. “Load up a transport.”
“Sir, yes Sir!”

Three hours later, as well…

Honor four-five-zero, you have permission to land. Please land in RAMC runway seven.

When it finally landed, it was immediately taken to a hangar, and the Shogun was placed in a Hummer and driven to Kremlin Palace.

============
Genuine Indigo-five-nine, you have clearence to land in RAMC runway one.

The flight was escorted by ten F15E Eagles, but they took the long way around so as to give the Shogun's flight ample time to get in the hangar and disappear. They eventually landed, and General Sceptum was placed in an SUV and taken to Kremlin Palace.

OOC: I hate arrivals.

Star Office, Kremlin Palace

When General Sceptum entered the Star Office, the Shogun was already seated. twenty Praetorian Guards circled the room, and Alexei had the Dragon Sword in its holder behind the massive desk he sat behind.

"Please, General, sit down, have a drink." When the General sat down, he motioned to the two Honour Guards. Alexei turned to the PPians.

"Please surrender all weapons on yourselves to these guards, for all of our sakes. You will get them back when you depart."

The Shogun handed his over, "Of course. I've no problem with it."
General Sceptum did so as well, however, his face betrayed his displeasure at doing so. "Let's get on with this, I can't stand to be in the same room as an Altered." he said. "How can you put up with such scum? There's probably no chance at peace."
"Quite the opposite," the Shogun said. "We don't want a fight, only to come home to a peaceful land." his eyes narrowed. "Though we will defend ourselves."
"You just want to flaunt your unnatural strengths at us you..." General Sceptum cut himself off. "What's your take on this, Czar Andropov?"

The Czar sighed. "Well, while I do not have civilians genetically altered roaming freely in Derscon, I do have genetically and biologically enhanced soldiers, but the process is too expensive to do it a lot. The very guards you see here, the Praetorian, are the best not only because of their training and dedication, but because of their genetic and biological alterations. In face, all of the Crown's Imperial Army -- my private Army -- the Praesillei Dei, have one form of genetic and or biological alteration. Not counting the Honour Guards, who are not human." He took a sip of water to calm himself down.

"A civil war in a highly respected nation in the Greater Prussian Empire is not good for morale of your own people or the people in the Greater Prussian Empure. It will also show the impression to the international community that Greater Prussia is weak and divided." He tapped on his desk a little, deep in thought.

"Altered or not, you both are humans. You both are Greater Prussians. You both are honourable people. But, addressing your point, General Sceptum, about no peace. It is clear that the Shogun here only wants to live in harmony with the other humans. It is you, my friend, that does not want peace. The Shogun here did not commit genocide, you did.

"While I am absolutely not a fan of genetic engineering -- my troops have it for national security reasons, which trump moral values, at this point -- I must say I am disappointed in the unaltered leadership; mainly you, General." The Czar took another sip of his drink.

"I believe we can reach a compromise. The first point of this is that genetic engineering is halted until further notice. In return, the General here must promise to cease the genocide he is committing against his fellow brothers."

Shogun Kenshin looked over toward the Genreal. "See?" he said. "There is no reason that this fighting should continue. I will halt the creating of more Altereds. However, the new genetic code is passed on through generations."

"Yes, those are strong words..." General Sceptum began. He pulled out his wallet. A picture of a little girl fluttered out. it was clear that he was lossing it."However, it was an Altered who recklessly killed my daughter. Their morals are not straight, but twisted. They must be killed before others in the entire empire can be harmed by them.... I'm only sorry, Shogun Himura Kenshin, that you can not be there to die with the rest of your "people"."

Koala Mountain Ballistics Facility...

The code was received and decoded.
"Major, coordinates set...wow, he's lost it..." an officer said. The major strode over,
"Junius Seven? You're right." he said. "Oh well, launch it."
"Sir? That PLANT contains 200,000 civilians..."
"SCUM, soldier, not people. Besides, we're following orders." He slammed the officer aside and initiated the launch of a nuclear missile.
"I hope you're happy, sir. You've just started a war."

The missile launched high and bright into the sky. Coasting on built up kinetic energy, it flew toward the little colony of Junius Seven. When it reached, it blew apart the central stabalizing point. The rest of the colony disitntigrated around it, 200,000 or more dying instantly...

Tomorrow was Christmas morning...

The red phone on the Czar's desk started ringing. This was bad. The red phone indicated a call from the Dersconi Stratiegic Defense Command. The Czar looked at the two PPians before picking it up. He was on the phone, impassive, until he uttered a "thank you" and hung up. He then motioned to his Praetorian.

"General Sceptum, you are under arrest for the slaughter of over two hundred thousand civilians and the illegal usage of nuclear weapons on a civilian target. The Earth-based part of Pschycotic Pschycos is now under my total control, and as Arch-Chancellor, am declaring martial law. Shogun," he said as the Praetorian Guard was restraining and cuffing the general.

"I advise you to stay here and urge the colonists not to counterattack. THe reprecussions are too strong to allow for a counterattack. The leadership of the revolt will be rounded up and tried as traitors. You are a man of reason. I understand that two hundred thousand have died. If you do not listen to me, that number will seem like pocket change."

31-03-2005, 01:47
The Shogun's face was a seen of full disaster. It wasn't even clear that he had heard the Czar for several minutes. Finally, he came about. "Yes, I will call the colonies, and go out on a general announcment through all the colonies." he said, still visibly shaken. "However, there are those who are not as peace loving as I am, and they have already been urging a fight for some time. I cannot control them. I may be looking at a double coup here."

General Sceptum laughed, all sanity drained from his eyes. Whether or not even he was still human couldn't be told. "What now you Altered scum? Do you even lack the backbone to fight back those who attacked you?" he laughed hysterically. "There are plenty more like myself, and they are all itching for a fight. So either you wait to be annhialted again, or you launch a counter attack."

The Shogun was now visibly restraining anger. "I cannot commit anymore people to fight against their kin. If you can do that, and the people who mistakenly follow you, you deserve eternal damnation."

"Ha! They'll fight without me! As we speak, the Metro City Massdriver is working overtime. Remember all those 'out-dated' ships you had lying around near there? Well they're ours now. You'll all die..."

Having enough of this, the Shogun turned to the Czar, "I'm sorry, but there'll be too many radicals, hell, even the general public will want revenge. My announcement will mean nothing to them. I will, however, order the use of N-Jammers to prevent the further use of nuclear weapons. The rest is out of my control. I hope you have some space forces to help, because he does now have a considerable fleet..."
======================================
What the Shogun had said proved to be true, after an announcment urging the people of the colonies not to revolt, radical leaders mobilized troops anyway. The Shogun was completly ignored. General Sceptum's statment proved accurate as well. His forces, though in outdated warships, launched into space. Ground forces began preparing to defend against Derscon. In a matter of hours, the Altered forces were about to meet the power of the rest of the nation...

"No, I have no space-directed forces. Only Defence platforms used to look in, not out." He sighed and picked up the phone.

"Marshal Wellesley, this is Czar Andropov. Prepare for mobilization into Earth-based Pschycotic Pschycos now." He hung up the phone, drew a pistol, and blew General Sceptum's brains out with his gold-plated .50 Desert Eagle. He put it away as if all he did was turn on a TV.

"Now that that is done, I wish you God's blessing. I can handle any ground forces he puts up. Unfortunately, I cannot give you space support. I need you to take his space fleet out and prevent the space fleet from entering PP again. Once it leaves it must not come back, as it may shoot my troops, and even my First Corps is no match for a space ship."

"I understand. We'll take them ourselves. We are still in possession of LIBRA, so her anti-ship cannons will prevent them from returning," Kenshin said. His face was still troubled. "Because of the way the forces line up, we can't use her main weapon, though. No worries, we'll handle it."

He went on, "I just ask that you prevent as much damage to property as possible, and if any surrender, or are withdrawing, don't fire upon them, they are still citizens of the state, expressing their right of opinion, albeit in a rather undesirable way."

After a few thoughtful moments, he added, "I will remain here. If the radicals of either side find me, they'll kill me for sure. I can fight with a sword, but I'm not imortal."

In space near Lagrange Point 5, PPS Agemmennon...

Admiral Halberton of the 8th Orbital Fleet surveyed the amassed enemy force. Turning to his mate, he aske, "doesn't look too good, does it?"

"No Sir, it doesn't." the mate replied, an officer ran up and said something to him. "Sir, we're in range of fire." he stated. Moments later, a bright light and a shudder backed his statement. The enemy, the 1st Preservative Fleet, had openned fire with their main laser turrets.

"Return fire!" the admiral shouted. Looking different directions from the bridge, the ships of the Combined Orbital Fleet had openned fire, and bolts of laser energy were lancing out for the enemy. Bright explosions lit both sides as some shots connected. "Order all carriers to release mobile suits!"

Of in the distance, it was apparent that the enemy had already done the same. New, bright white streaks now eminated from the COF, the launching mobile suits. The two forces would clash in the middle, but some would sneak through. New, heavier explosions rocked the Agammennon. "Sir, the Law and the Bernard have both been destroyed!" an officer shouted. The ship rocked harder as a shot glanced off the side. Admiral Halberton looked to the side in time to see a 250-meter class be demolished, the shot going straight down the length of her. the explosion was blinding. Finally, the enemy mobile suits broke through.
"Activate all anti-suit weapons!" the admiral ordered. The space became a lit fireworks show as his and other ships began dealing out flak. The explosions tripled at least. A suit appeared infront of them and destroyed a turret. It aimed at the bridge next, but was shot through with a beam from a friendly, exploding brilliantly. The 1st Preservative Fleet began advancing to close the range...

Dersconi Naval Command, ATLANTIS One

Under the Continental Shelf in Dersconi Waters, ATLANTIS One, the underwater (in this case, under the OCEAN FLOOR) naval base known as ATLANTIS ONE was bustling with activity.

Marko Herkjyavich, Commander, Imperial Navy, was sitting in his office when the order came in from the Kremlin. He looked it over and hooked up with Imperial Fleet Admiral Mikhial Zimmerov, commander of the Imperial Superfleet.

Zimmerov: Sir, what is the situation.

Marko: Mobilize to PP. Await further orders.

Zimmerov: Yessir.

Meanawhile, in case of a counterattack, Marko ordered the activation of one of the ATLANTIS' abilities -- complete underwater defense.

Above the sea level, but on the sea, IFA Zimmerov was on board his flagship, the Archangel-class "humungo-carrier" HMS Appolyon, when he recieved his orders.

"Well, then," the said aloud, to no one in particular. "Time to move."

"Sir, Dersconi forces approaching from the north," an officer on the bridge of the David said. Admiral Yahiko of the 2nd Genuine Surface Fleet strod over to him.
"Derscon, huh? Then the Appolyon is probably with them," he said.
"The Appolyon Sir?"
"Yes, my grandfather faced it in the First War. Said it was a terrible machine that could pump fighters into the air like crazy. Looks like it's been modified to what looks very much like a bigger Arkhangel."
"A bigger Arkhangel?"
"Yep. At least we may know some of their weaknesses, but then again, so do they. Anyway, move to intercept."
"Aye, aye, Sir. Moving to intercept." The large fleet, which contained only two Arkhangel battlecarriers, began moving to intercept the approaching fleet.

HMS Appolyon, Flagship of the Superfleet

Imperial Fleet Admiral Mikhail Zimmerov looked over the radar displays from the massive E767s in the sky, along with the satellite pictures.

Didn't look to friendly. Mikhail got on the comm and issued the codephrase.

"Sink Saint Elmo."

On that command, the thirty Front-Group fleet of Pisces Submergable Battleships dove under, and went superquiet. Unless they used active sonar, which was suicide, the Pisces would not be detected.

On the surface, the DD(X) destroyers, Ageis-class missile cruisers, And fifteen Zimmermann-class Battleships, along with the thirteen (including the Appolyon) Archangel-class Superbattlecarrier stormed ahead.

Fighter wing A, fly high.

The F-22C Rapier Semistealth fighters -- thirty of them -- along with fifty F18 Hornets, took off from the electromagnetic vertical launch catapults on the HMS Pandaemonium. A few P-3C Orion ASW planes took off from the neighbouring Charon. Each of the Forward Fleet's carriers, the Pandaemonium, Charon, and Styx, had a fighter wing on deck, waiting for the order to take off. Most of the Hornets were armed with ATS munitions, but the Rapiers had mostly Fire-And-Forget Phoenix missiles. Some had AMRAAM, but the majourity had the FAFs. The Forward Fleet's Zimmermann class superbattleships, HMS Bismarck, Zanzibar, High Charity, Delta Force, and the Vice-Flagship of the Superfleet, the largest battleship ever to come out of Prussian docks, the Apolcalypse, All formed in front of the carriers, but behind the subscreen that lay in front of them.

The fighter formation was heading full speed toward the PP fleet. Meanawhile, the Ageis cruisers were reading their missiles.

Three E7 Metalhawk radar aircraft were following, escorted by four Rapiers per craft. Their radar was stronger and was linked with the fighters in Wing A. The E7 could target up to five enemy fighters at a time, transmit this to fighters, and the fighters can launch their missiles, with the radar trackers coming from the E7 and not the fighter. So while the radar is flicking their nose, the missile comes and bites them in the ass.

It will be an interesting fight, no doubt.

GSS Devestation...

"Admiral Yahiko, the enemy fleet has begun a charge." the shout came from across the bridge.
"Damn, it came too soon. All hands to Level One Battlestations!" he ordered. The klaxons went off across the ships, and instantly running footsteps on the metal could be heared.
"Sir, course?" the helmsman of the Arkhangel-Class asked.
"You graduated Puerto Vista! Let's give them a head on attack!" the admiral shouted. Whoops went up across the bridge. "This pure government will not fall no matter what it takes!" The fleet's ten main battleships, Zimmermanns, pulled ahead at flank speed. "Aim your turrets, and prepare to fire on my mark...FIRE!!" All of the ten ships' foward turrets openned up at the oncoming enemy.

The radar operator shouted back, "we got some fuzzy contacts!"
"Of course they'd launch fighters. Prepare anti-air defences!" roared Admiral Yahiko. "Activate verticle lifts! Prepare linear catapults!" On deck, the lift panels slid back, and the rails for the linear catapults unfolded from the decking. Flashing lights on the other three battlecarriers confirmed that they too were launching. The first of the F-14 fighters appeared on deck, and was immedeatly shot down the catapult and into the air. The rest came in rapid fire, the deadly Phoenix missiles glistening in the thrust plumes' glare. The three ships each launched only a quarter of their planes, 25, for seventy-five fighters in the air. On the outsides of all the ships, the AA assets made ready.

Airborne Defense Wing...

"All units, Leader hear, swich HUDs to infrared, it'll be easier to track in the dark, and we won't need to activate radar till we attack. Maintain radio silence..."

Pschycotic Pschycos 8th Surface Fleet..

"Admiral Yamamoto, the battle's begun."
"Then let's defend our true allies."
"Yes, Sir! *picks up phone* This is Arkhangel to Zimmermann, have your battleships fire their HARPOONS"
The five Battleships remaining loyal to the Shogun pumped out HARPOON anti-ship missiles toward the traitors...

Czar's Palace...

"Czar Andropov, there is only one way to be sure that the leaders still holding out may be destroyed, collapsing the rebellion by decapitation. May I borrow the phone, perhaps a satillite phone? Shogun Kenshin asked...

{More on the space battle later, I'm too tired}

HMS Appolyon

"Sir! They've launched a crapload of fighters!" The Admiral nodded.

"Launch the airwings on the forward fleet, and tell them to load another one."

"YEssir!" Fleet Admiral Zimmerov turned to the ComOp.

"Saint Elmo Lives."

"Yessir."

----------------------------------
Forward Fleet

"Shit! Incoming shells and bugs!"

"FIRE ON THEM, DAMNIT!"

"Yessir!" The railguns on the DD(X) Destroyers opened fire on the carriers and the battleships, aiming for the large guns and the catapults.

Saint Elmo Lives was the command that the Admiral on board the Charon recieved. He then passed on the command.

Behind the enemy Zimmermann-class battleships, the thirty Pisces battleships began their ascent. Those Pisces under the superbattleships opened their vertical launch tubes and fired converted SLBMs, designed for attacking surface ships -- more powerful than a torpedo. The rest surfaced, being broadside to the carriers and the superbattleships, and opened fire on the said enemy fleet.

On board the other carriers in the Forward Fleet, their eighty-aircraft airwings also took off, made up of Rapier F-22Cs and the Hornets, along with the E7 Metalhawk AWACS craft.

Fighter Wing A

"We've got inbound Tomcats. Metalhawk, get me a lock on one of them."

"Aye." The E7 Metalhawk activated its targeting radar and locked on to the enemy F-14s. This data was sent to the Rapier F-22s, who used it to their advantage.

"Open missile bays and fire!" The F-22s opened the missile bays, losing their stealth ability, and fired six Phoenix ATA "FAF" missiles at the inbound F-14s. Some of the Tomcat's were locked on by the E7, guarenteeing a kill, but the others were less likely (but still very likely) to hit, considering they came from the missiles themselves. The F-22s continued on their path until they went back to stealth, when they diverted their course back to the carriers, zig-zagging around the sky.

GSS Devastation...

The fleet around the big ship was in devestation. Four Zimmermanns were confirmed to be sinking, and the remaining 6 were in terrible, though still battle-worthy condition, and their advance was still in progress, rounds being pumped off carelessly. To port, the Dominator was listing heavily, but still launching the remaining 75 Tomcats in her hangar. To starboard, Salvation was just smoking, the port catapults shot to hell, one remaining on the starboard was still operating. The Devastation was angling her bow upward, apparently the stern was shot through. All three carriers' side superstructures were smoking and flaming heavily.
"Admiral?"
"Get our subs over here. Activate our own active sonar, and tell them to use theirs, it'll confuse the hell out of the enemy."
"Sir!"
The pingging went out as the command was carried through. The subs were able to have a good lock, and fired torpedoes at the enemy. The cruisers and carriers, equipped with torpedoes themselves, fired more into the water. It seemed as though they could hold off Derscon..until the middle of Salvation was engulfed in flame, severed straight in half.
"Admiral! The 8th!"
"Ahh shit! Yamamoto. Activate CIWS!" As the HARPOONs streaked in, the ring of cruisers opened with their AAA and CIWS. The sky lit with explosions, and the sea was illuminated as more found their mark.

Airborne Defense Wing...

"Shit! Someone's locking on us!" the leader called as his fighter was engulfed in flame. Surrounding fighters were exploding as well. A voice came on the radio.
"Fire at what you can. If you can't get a lock on something, fire anyway and hope it hits!" White plumes of smoke shot foward from the air wing at the enemy.

Second Genuine Surface Fleet...

Three Nimitz-Class carriers at the back of the fleet had escaped major damage. Giant sections of their flight decks pealed back, and giant elevators lifted what looked like large triangles onto the deck. These three were pulled to the bow. The legs of the triangles folded down to reveal that these triangles were three B-52 bombers. However, their wings were tilted 90 degrees upward. The engines started, and the thrust shot toward the water, and they rose slowly and painfully into the air. As they rose, their wings tilted foward. At a safe distance in the air, their bays opened, and a new generation of AS missiles drooped out, MARLINs. They flew toward the Derscon fleet at an average height of 2 feet above the water. The three launched 18 all together.

Pschycotic Pschycos 8th Surface Fleet...

"Launch the Aries for the traitors." Outside, odd mobile suits, the favored weapon of the country, were brought onto the decks of the two Arkhangels and launched off toward the enemy.

Czar's Palace...

The Shogun spoke on the phone. To whom was still unknown, "That's right. Those are the correct coordinates. Just initiate it!" He slammed the phone down. "It's a good thing the city's practically empty."

PPS Agemmemnon...

"Admiral Halberton, the enemy is advancing!" the radar operator shouted.
"Damn!" he replied. He picked up the intership com., "All ships, advance on the enemy. Fire everything you've got!" The flashes increased in intensity and frequency. Ships now began going down in two's and three's. The bridge of the large ship was rocking from the explosions.
"We've lost the Invigorator and Vallhalla!" the combat officer shouted. The dissapearing hulls of the two 300-meter classes confirmed it. Flashes on the other side of the battle kept their hopes up. The Agemmemnon pulled alongside an enemy ship, the secondary guns of the 300-meter classes duking it out, small explosions erupting on their hulls. The bridge was erupting in panic.
"Aim Gottfrieds...FIRE!" the admiral shouted. the main cannons on the starboard side rotated, and let out a blast into her opponent. The big ship was engulfed in explosions, but the Agemmemnon was equally sliced by shrapnel. Ships around them were going into one-on-one battles while mobile suits clashed around them in one giant cloud. The flashes merged, the rumbles following on each others heels, scraps of mobile suits and ships floating past the bridge.
"Admiral, this is Hopeless!" some officer shouted.
"Shit!" another yelled.
"What?!" Halberton asked.
"The 2nd Preservative!" came the stressed reply. Admiral Halberton looked out the windscreen. Ahead, and looming ever larger, was asecond wave of ships. They could handle this one, but a second...impossible. "Sir, we have to surrender!"
"I will not allow them to destroy the lives of over 2 million people! We will fight to the last ship!" he roared. The shots began coming in. They glanced off the sides of the ship, now smoking in many places. The end was coming...
"Sir, new contact, Indigo 19, Mark 4, Orange 23!" the combat officer shouted.
"What is it?" asked Halberton.
"I don't know...it's...it's..." Before he could finish, a giant streak of yellow energy pierced the middle of the Second Preservative. Ships in the fleet went up in flames, and uncountable smaller ones confirmed the detonation of mobile suits.
"Wing Zero..." Admiral Halberton said, a dumbfounded look on his face. The Second had just been cut down to ten ships, an easy enough number to deal with. The graceful mobile suit drifted back to infront of the Agemmemnon where it floated with its beam rifle, a high powered prototype, extended. A new voice crackled over the fuzzy radio,
"Lt. Commander Yuy reporting. They shall not win." Another massive shot fired out, the light dimming out even the sun behind Earth. The admiral cringed. When the light cleared, the Second was gone. "Mission Complete."
"Admiral, new report coming in. Code 846 Alpha-Two." the radio operator said.
"What?! View screen, zoom 20 times on earth!" he yelled. The screen showed the 4 pointed star of the LIBRA OAP. An eerie yellow glow was emminating from the 4 points, the main engines. "They're crazy!!"
"Sir, they're entering Wavecourse 7452!" the radar operator shouted.
"NO, IT CAN'T BE!!...That's the course for a direct hit on....the capitol..."

Barely above Earth's Atmosphere...

"All personnel wishing to remain alive, disembark at this time." the voice came over the loudspeakers. Despite the possibility, no one left. Libra was about to enter Wavecourse 7452, a direct line for Honimishu, capitol of Pschycotic Pschycos. Minutes later, the shaking started. The massive craft, roughly the size of NYC began to enter the atmosphere. The red halo around her was faint and warm, for now. Quickly, the trembling increased until one could no longer stand, the halo becoming red and firey, sounding of a freight train.
On the bridge, the commanding officer could feel gravity returning, "Feel the gravity boys? Enjoy it, it'll be the last time you'll ever feel it." In the view screens, the earth was growing larger, coming over the horizon now was their nation.

Honimishu...

The sky was cloudy, and the wind echoed down the streets. It seemed that not a soul was still in the city, but the castle was bustling with activity. No one in the headquarters of the rebellion knew of the impending disaster.
"I want a status report on the 2nd Genuine's state...what the hell is that shaking? Is it an earthquake?" some officer began.

The ground was now shaking with the incoming levithan. Suddenly, a hole in the clouds was burned through, and the ship engulfed in the fireball was exposed. Around the castle, cries of "What the hell? or "Holy shit!" began going up. With incredible force, the station slammed into the city, going in excess of Mach 30. Instantly, the charge held by the main cannon was lost as the battery was destroyed, and the ship exploded, combining with the force of impact. Half of the 300 mile long city instantly disappeared in a dome of flame, the shock wave leveling the rest of the city. Water from the inland sea rushed in to fill the crater. The forests and lands around the city caught fire. Hell had arrived on earth...

The blast rushed through the castle destroying life everywhere. The structure and the hill it was on was sparred all damage, for some odd reason. Finally, it all died down, the noise, the flame, and the screams, all that was left was a blood red sunset over the sea, and quiet, endless quiet...

In the air, the Alpha Raptor Squadron from the Pandaemonium commander just smirked as the radar-guided missiles flew right past them, hitting the sea below.

Unfortunately for Beta, they got stuck with Heat-seekers.

"Shit! Unload!" The Beta Raptor commander shouted over the intercom. 'Unload' was a simple command to understand, really.

It meant launch all of your counter measures first, and then all of your missiles, and if you're still locked on, Kamikaze into the nearest enemy ship.

Beta Squadron did just that. Seventy-five planes, four missiles each, fired at the PP aircraft. Some of the Dersconi Raptors had ATS missiles, so they went to the nearest enemy ship, which were the PP Zimmermann battleships.

Fifteen of the Beta Squadron Raptors were hit. Five managed to Kamikaze into a nearby carrier or battleship, but the rest were blown up in the air.

Charlie, Delta, and Echo Squadrons at this point were so close together, on radars they appeared as only one squadron. Foxtrot and Gamma Squadrons did the same, only they were Tomcats, not Raptors, so they took the back, since they, unlike the Raptors, were not immune to radar.

The airfleet continued on, along with the E7 Metalhawks, to the enemy flagship.

Pisces 013

"Oh shit," the Lt. Commander said, right after the headache from the pings, and right before the torpedoes smashed in his reactor, disabling it, and sinking the Pisces, after blowing half of it to hell and back. These same words were repeated on board just about the entire advance squadron of Pisces. The others managed to cause the fish to disable itself by doing a jump out of water or countermeasures, but losing ten Pisces is not exactly a fun prospect to think about.

HMS High Charity

On board the Forward Fleet's left flank Zimmermann-Class Battleship, Captain Petrov wasn't having an especially fun time. The inbound ATS missiles didn't add to his luck.

"INCOMING MISSILES!" was the announcement from CIC. The antimissile automated 30mm miniguns managed to take down a few, but the rest landed smack into the bow and stern of the battleship, along with its guns.

The High Charity was out of business.

Or so they thought.

Captain Petrov ordered the evacuation drill to go out, and the crew hopped in the emergency escape minisubs and helocoptors to head back to the Forward Fleet's flagship, the Pandaemonium.

When that was done, Captain Petrov went to the CIC and went on broadcast to the entire Superfleet.

This is Captain Petrov of Zimmermann HIGH CHARITY. We have taken
fatal hits, and are out of commission. We are engaging Jihad Maneuvers.

On that call, the PP commanders were surprised when the Dersconi planes -- and actually, the entire superfleet -- did a 180 and high-tailed it out of the area.

Except for one Zimmermann class battleship, heading straight for the PP fleet.

Back on High Charity, Captian Petrov was in the reactor room with a few engineers who volenteered to give their lives for Derscon and God.

"Sir," one reported to Petrov. "All reactor coolant has been deactivated. All four fusion plants are set to go unstable and detonate in about two minutes." Petrov nodded.

"Excellent. I have set a course directly for the PP flagship." The engineers returned the nod.

"Then we wait for another..." he looked at his watch. "One minute, thirty seconds." Petrov nodded solemnly, and took of his hat.

"Let us pray." With that, the engineers and the Captain got on their knees, and bowed their heads, asking forgiveness for the act they were about to commit, and praying for the souls of the PP lives about to be taken.

00:05....00:04....00:03....00:02....00:01....

When Zero was reached, High Charity's fusion reactors initiated self-destruct programs. The reactors detonated themselves, and six hygrogen bombs detonated in PP waters.

HMS Apollyon

With the rest of the Superfleet a safe distance away, Fleet Admiral Zimmerov whispered a small prayer for Petrov, the engineers bound to be on board, and the PP sailors. The massive mushroom clouds were an awestriking -- and very terrifying -- sight to see. The Admiral simply looked on. The blast would undoubtably cause a massive wave to strike the PP coast, doing whoknowswhat to that. Whatever unlucky ship happened to be near the battleship was no doubtibly vaporized, as was High Charity, along with all of the men and women on board.

Yet the war had to continue, so after the clouds were gone, Fleet Admiral Zimmerov ordered the fleet to move back in for the offensive, but he sent a message on open broadcast to all of the PP ships.

You have seen the destructive power of fusion bombs in a crippled
Battleship. We have plenty more. It is in your best interest to surrender.
Do so, or more things like that may occur.

MEanawhile, Flight Wing A from the Pandaemonium was back in the air, continuing its mission.

PPS Devestation...

The admiral viewed the message with amuesement. "Yea, right. Send the Zimmermanns on an all out assault, I don't care if we lose them to. Order them to eliminate their own failsafes."

The rest of the fleet was in pandamonium. The ten forward battleships were each on the verge of slipping beneath the waves, and cruisers everywhere in the water were burning. The subscreen out in front had been completly erased from the face of the earth by the blasts, and most other ships had structural damage. The only thing saving the fleet were the remaining cruisers' AA guns, pumping out round after round, burning several of themselves out. It began to look hopeless...untill the sun began its rise. Its hue was absolutely blood red against the sky, and had risen half out of the water already. Silloueted against it were scores of balck, spindly objects. The masts of the 1st Genuine Fleet. The remaining ships of the navy opened up with all armarments, 18 inch shells, HARPOON ASMs, releasing a devestating rain of lead and fire. The air became thick with arms...

HMS Appolyon

Fleet Admiral Zimmerov noted the incoming fleets and ordered the Superfleet to slow down and commence evasive, but offencive, manoeuvres. The boombers in the Aft Fleet were surfacing at that time.

Fire was the command given to the twenty Posiden-class missile subs.

All of the Submarines, the third generation of the Soviet missile sub Kranzy Oktobre, opened their twenty missile bays and fired their Trident SLBM's at the PP fleets. Every five missiles was armed with a nuclear warhead. They were launched at majour assets.

Zimmerov was not known for caring about inflicting heavy damages.

The launch was seen with a mix between incredible disbelief and horror. Only the admiral of the 1st kept a level head, "Load all missile tubes with WEBs, hurry!" WEB missiles were launched the moment the hatches were shut. As they streaked up at an intercept trajectory, their warheads detonated, allowing a giant reinforced gundanium alloy web to unfold. The number launched allowed for the incoming nukes to be captured, falling harmlessly off course. One got through, but as always, that was enough, devestanting the fleet.

Underwater, silent shadows deep down slid forward.
