It's a "pun" and indicative of the direction part of the thrust of action will be taking place from.

As much fun as the cut and thrust is with you, I must correct some misgivings.

Foremost, this is not a "hey, everyone into the hot tub" sort of RP. At the moment, the forces in Vastiva are very well balanced - "overstable", one could say. However, the introduction of these "members of the Sultan's household" are not part of the balance - and the entire house of cards could easily come crashing down if pressure is put in the right places.

That, or they could prevent just that sort of disaster.

It is also an area which those who have nations potentially or in fact hostile to Vastiva could manage to insert an "agent provacteur" into the household, particularly if they are clever about it. Assassination is flat out disallowed - but other forms of coercion are possible, particularly to those who can RP cleverly.

In short, it holds what I see as great promise.

I'm interested. I'm not sure which angle I should play it from, though. Krioval is definitely looking for strong relations with Vastiva, but we're ambivalent about things like capital punishment. So I could see a somewhat strong-willed Kriovalian woman (perhaps trained in intelligence) causing a ruckus, especially when more conservative elements attempt to subvert the current situation. Thus, she'd be a reactive element in the story, trying to promote the status quo (and whispering about the benefits of Krioval). Krioval would probably have a collective heart attack if the Vastivan government fell, so that could be interesting as well. Is any of that workable (since it's your project)?

Hmmm... Would Demi-Humans be allowed? I'm not sure if you're aware, but my nation is conspired of Nekos, or catpeople (Humans with cat-like traits, namely ears, tails, eyes, and tendacies). That, and we're a space nation. Just wondering your thoughts on the matter. >_>

Vastiva's current population includes intelligent penguins, furries of several species, lycanthropes, and some elves. We're rather egalitarian - and have found doing so gives some interesting RPs.

When a thread doesn't need that variety, we dont' use it. However, this one will probably touch on all sorts of subjects Vastiva would probably rather not talk about so - go for it. :)
