Ok, so what's going to happen, is the whites, which make up 65% of Caelta, they are going start out, by killing a patrol of black officers who are trying to rape a white woman. (For obvious reasons, we will leave it at that, without graphic descriptions) After that, we will RP the lynching of the black cops, by the white civillians in the ghetto, followed by martial law, and then the whites overrun the blacks, as they start promising democracy, they will gain virtual 100% support with the oppressed, such as the Calvinists, and Whites, the blacks however, will form militias, to put down the rebellion (this one being the 8th).

At that point, you folks will enter the RP. I am willing to allow communists to come in and defend the commies, however, they must realize that they will be losing the war as an end result.

Also of note: I am thinking that I will do this as 10-15 years ago, but with modern tech, that way, I will be able to RP more to my liking. In the following weeks after the rebellion, I will post various things from the past years.

OOC: I'm a little confused about how this will work. Will we be able to incorporate our current characters, technologies, military units etc. into this? Should our characters be 10-15 years younger than they are currently written up as? I can understand why you want to do this, but I just want to make sure that I understand how it'll work out.

I was thinking 10-15 years ago, however, since modern tech never really changes, it can remain modern tech, modern military sizes, etc. However, characters should be 10-15 years younger.

What about changes that have occured in our militaries within the last 10-15 years? The DC Navy used retrofitted F-14 Tomcats and F-111 Aardvarks 10-15 years ago, with a change to newer F-106 Liberators and F-133 Valkryies having occured within the last 3-6 years or so. In the RP, should the F-14s and F-111s still be used by the DC Navy because the change isn't supposed to happen for another 4 years or more?

Arg. This is getting a little complicated.

Caelta is communist, and has been, since an invasion by the soviets after WWII. They use standard 1980's soviet equipment.

My government will get involved to try to install democracy in this relatively small nation, since it shouldn't be too difficult and it will allow us to exert some influence over them in future. We will on the other hand try to rein-in the revolutionaries so that they don't kill huge numbers of people, and try to help install an inclusive government after the conflict. I'd estimate deployments at an Imperial Naval Battlegroup and maybe around 50,000 troops.

EDIT: On the 10-15 years ago thing, I'll use my old navy, which is smaller and has older (but still NS-designed) ships, and I only have 3 superdreadnaughts (I wont be deploying any of those anyway, unless it really escalates).

Momanguise will probably send an MPSA unit to keep the regime in power...namely an execution squad. I need to introduce some evil into my background.
