PNN Update: Protesters slaughtered

PNN News Update:

Today roughly one hundred (100) Christian protesters were slaughtered by the military's Deathclaw units. The protest against the recent exicution of a Christian fundamentalist leader and against the agumentation law turned violent when a group of protesters revealed small arms and began to fire on the military guard around the council chambers. Though the only wounds the military received were minor bruises and a single trooper was shot in the arm the use of Deathclaws to heard the protesters limited fatalities for the military and the innocent civilians that were not protesting. As it stands now the families of the dead are calling for charges of murder against the officers who permitted the use of deathclaws. The military only had this to say in response, "Next time those f**king idiots should learn that when you protest we have every right to return fire and/or use deathclaws if even one of you carry a fire arm."

The Tank Lords decree that this is a crime against God. Those who have perpetrated this act shall not long stand before our righteous fury. We declare Total War on these butchers and call upon the nations of the moral alliance to do likewise.

Well, it is one thing to preserve public order, after all, the protesters had small arms. Any action that goes beyond preserving the lives of those in immediate danger should not be done via lethal force. We condemn this action, and reccomend the use of marijuana to calm down the protestors.

The small arms were obviously no threat to the armed forces. They have overstepped the bounds of maintaining public order and gone to excessive use of force and terror tactics, we will not permit this to continue.

OCC:You realy otta pick fights with nations that actualy have to try to beat you down.

The Parthians thank you for siding with the military forces and the use of lethal force.

And what did we learn today my strange but oh so alien Phalanixians?

Don't carry firearms to protests and sure as hell don't open fire.

Any action taken against Phalanix, which regretfully had to use violence to end a violent protest, will be countered and matched by the Empire, any military action be strongly condemed and we suggest all nations involved not to make any sudden unwarranted provocative moves.

A deathclaw is no match for my M1-E1 Abrams metalstorm tanks. One tank has the firepower of approximately 12 regular Abrams MBT's, and a much higher possible fire rate.
Phalanix

Dumpsterdam: Thank you for your added suppor but it is not required. These pittiful threats offer no risk to Phalanix when if we truely wished those who wish to suddenly threaten us suffer at the ends of several Fallen Angel plasma cannons at the smallest scale of retrabution.

True a death claw is no match for a tank but a VBR-4 Shadow Striker is more than a match for a single tank. As it stands one alone can desimate a small army before running out of ammo.

OCC:A 120mm sbot as you call it will do about jack all when I decide to use 540mm twin plasma cannon's that are mounted on my super cruiser assault class ships that can easily land in your nation and deploy a small army.
Hammers Slammers
26-03-2005, 23:44
OOC: 1 120 mm sabot maybe, but how about a company of metalstorms, each firing a total of 1000, 105 mm discarding sabot rounds, and then there's the stationary installations firing 16 inch DU penetrators at extremely high muzzle velocities. I think Bun-Bun would be overkill but it's lots of fun to use. Bun-Bun is A SHEVA tank armed with a 16 inch main cannon like those of an Iowa class battleship, that uses full bullets instead of the navies "Bag and Round" method. It has extremely heavy secondary armament and is designed for anti-lander operations against heavily armored targets. It's secondary armament is 40 mm. metalstorm turrets on top, and 30 mm chain guns at ground level. It has 6 inch steel structural plate as its base and has an additional 6 inches of hardened steel armor plating. It is powered by 6 Johannes\Cummings pebble-bed\helium reactors that give it a top speed of approx 30 mph. Nothing two and a half stories tall should move that fast.

The Empire of Sidestreamer was alerted of this action and we wholly condemn this barbaric act against the Christian protestors, and for your actions, the Empire will brand you an enemy of the faith.

All citizens seeking Phalanix seeking refuge from this regime are hereby granted immunity against our immigration laws, and shall be granted citizenship to our Empire, provided they discontinue citizenship of Phalanix through written instrument or oral, sworn declaration.

All economic trade between Phalanix will hereby cease. Any company caught in international business relations with companies headquartered in Phalanix will have their assets frozen, and any trade ships, convoys, or airships from Phalanix that enters Sidestreamer territory shall be seized.

In addition, the nation of Phalanix is put on notice that the Moral Alliance is considering economic as well as military actions to be taken against this brutal anti-Christian regime, and upon the approval of our membership, we will declare war.

Around Orbital Command Platform "Renegade"
The relativly small second fleet had already begun massing it's one hundred ships and thousands of fighters ranging from the smallest ship a friggate all the way to the massive space command flagship the hellstorm super battleship.
"All hands this is Counciler Lancer. We are to prepare for combat within ten minutes before we move out to remove the current threat. All weapons are permited to be used. Also you are permitted to use ODP's to impact on enemy hulls to board and cause chaos and destruction on enemy ships. The PSN Hellstorm will lead the first group fallowed by ten cannon classes who will provide artilery support. Lets teach these pathetic nations what fear truely is."

the camera points to flag bearing the image of the holy angel of death and then turns to face King Eaodon Almasy.
"the Phalanix government has for ages past slaughtered those chosen servants of the Almighty One. As His angel of death we will end thier tyrrany and murder. Death will come on swift wings and our enemies will once again feel our holy wrath! Death! Death! Death!"

the attending crowd chants "Death! Death! Death!"

as the King gives his speech RIF agents reach Phalanix borders and civilian cargo ships arrive at hidden locations to evacuate the christian refugees.

OCC:I just feel like pissing off some nation right now. And if you have been fallowing my nation's past acts against christain portesters....hehe being evil is fun

OOC: There are much better ways to go about it then to do some stupid "evil" act with little reason... real evil is way smarter then this but NS allows nations to be lazy about about. It's much more interesting to do be subtle about it instead of doing what every other "evil" nation does and kill some minority in order to bait other nations. Meh... nevermind, I suppose it's cool these days.

[Iuthian Diplomatic Corps Public Statement]

While the Iuthian government doesn't concider generally concider actions taken against protesters to be any business of ours; it is clear to us that the recent knee-jerk reaction from these riot police to kill the majority of protesters in order to get at a armed minority shows a lack of restraint and a certain lack of repect for human lives which concerns us.

Generally such actions tend to encourage martyrdom and as such may encourage further actions against the authorities in The Shadow Realm of Phalanix. It's harder to route out terrorism when every day citizens are angered at such displays, we don't see the point in correcting the wrongs of a few by making a bigger wrong in order to get at it... now people will see your police as the enemy and not the terrorist forces who would hide among protesters like cowards.

It is our sincere hope that our armed forces can learn from this experience and help the society understand their actions and make full penance by having an open investigation into the errors made in this incident. We ourselves are not demanding this as it's not our place to make such demands to another soveriegn nation, however we hope you take our advise less your people's minds sympath with terrorists and not the rightful authorities.

Thanks,

Foriegn Minister Mick Lakely, Diplomatic Corps.

As Eighth Fleet enters Phalanix space they detect the approximately 100 ships in the planets gravity well. As the 10 CLACs deploy their LAC's and the SD(p)s start spewing forth their missile pods, the Wall of Battle begins to form up around the flagship Fatherland. The wall is composed of Eighths 20 SD(p)s, their 40 Dreadnaughts, and their 10 battleships, each towing a full load of pods inside their impeller wedge. The Wall is flanked by heavy cruisers and battlecruisers with a full load of pods. The fleets light cruisers and destroyers are spread behind the main battle group as a fast reaction force. The 1000 LACs accelerate at 240 gravities, easily masked by their stealth systems, towards the enemy fleet.

OCC:Heh not smart to pull a full on attack against a military force with a planet killer on it's flagship.
IC:
The PSN Hell's Fury had a clear firing solution and let lose the most devistating weapon in Phalanix's history. The Hellstorm planet killer though powerlevels toned down roared to life spewing a massive green killing beam through the center of the oppostion. Even seconds after it had finished firing thousands upon thousands of archer missiles poured out of missiles pods forming litteraly a wall of nearly a million missiles though the horor did not stop there. Massive supercruiser Hell classes began to open fire with there thousands of plasma torpedos only seconds behind the missiles. Thouhg the firing hadn't stopped fighters ebgan to pour out of the ships numbering in the high ten thousands roaring forth easily at mach 20 with tacical nuclear missiles preparing to fire and twin 65mm tri-barrel smoothbore auto-cannons reving up to release hundreds of HE rounds.

OCC2: I'll let you respond to that first wave before I break out the other weapons.

The Moral Alliance has made a wise choice in not taking any millitary action though we can not say the same for these two fools who will suffer under Phalanix rule once this has finished.
Jaghur
28-03-2005, 21:34
OOC: This is incredibly pointless. For example: Someone says "I have a tank" and the other person says "Well, I have plasma cannons." All that's going to do is make people angry. And then it's going to turn into a godmod fest and then a flame war. And one last thing, even though I don't agree with Phalanix about this protest, '05 nations are not going to be able to win against an '03 nation unless the '03 nation allows the '05 nations to win. And so I ignore all the '05 idiots who think they have the upper hand against an '03 nation. Ahh, the futility of it all...
Phalanix
28-03-2005, 21:37
OCC:Jaghur you are the first '05 nation in this thread to show signs of actual inteligence (not to insult the other inteligent '05 nations) when it comes to dealing with '03 nations. And the fact that I am currently going easy on these two is a no brainer. The fact that if I realy wanted to I could have several hundred more ships defold behind the current enemy ships and lay waste to them before they oculd turn around fallowing tha tI could easily then just rain nuclear death down on both nations and claim them as my personel "whiping boys" for the next few years.
Hammers Slammers
28-03-2005, 21:55
OOC: there are more godmods in your last post than I've ever seen in a single thread. Your ships would be unable to power your hell weapons without being the size of a small planet. Even the most efficient fusion bottle requires reaction mass and that weapon would eat up all of it in a single shot. Your firepower is completely out of proportion to your numbers and fleet disposition. Again unless you had approximately 100 "super carriers" or whatever you call them, or they were the size of small planets they would not be able to hold that many fighters.

IC:

The ships of Eighth Fleet are not caught unprepared and immediatley roll ship, presenting their impenetrable impeller stress bands to the enemy fire.

29-03-2005, 01:29
OCC: Now you are being childish. If I have to go and dig through all the stats and such I have for my ships I will. And the use of puppets and a main nation in the same war is one thing I will not allow due to it's stupidity. Hammers Slammers

FT must still obey the constant laws of the universe as they are what allows FT to function. As to my losing, I highly doubt it since there is no known weapon powerful enough to penetrate the gravitic stress bands of a military grade impeller wedge. One of the reasons I decided against this conflict is because I looked at the stats, and we'd be badly outgunned.... while we certainly find the actions of Phalanix to be worthy of condemnations and a humanitarian mission is warranted, you should realize that even with the backing of the Alliance, we have ZERO CHANCE of standing against a nation of 1 billion+ using these odd "Deathclaw" mechanations from some sci-fi-like future!

We need to fight, but then again, we need to choose our fights wisely or we will fail the larger mission.

I hope you and the leader of Hammers Slammers reconsiders this action and pull back.
