On The Secrets of Sevaris,

The Plots of the Masters of a Consumerist Empire

Comrades, Brothers and Sisters, Friends and Neighbors, Countries great and small, A shadow grows unchecked, strengthening its hold across the world, flaunting its alleged economic power. This nation was conceived in Darkness and Corruption. Evil, it entreats its people, afflicts its people, and lays upon its people hard bondage, shaping not people, but hard-nosed cynics. Arrogantly it lays waste to other nations as well as its own, destroying plant and animal life – including its once loved, thriving rabbit population – in other nations, as well as its own. Did this nation ask the rabbits? Did this nation ask its people? What have the rabbits done to deserve this? What have a people done to deserve this? Once life in this land was cherished, but like the rabbits, respect for life dwindles.

They claim to be technologically advanced. Is cloning an accomplishment? Is the human body something to be experimented on? To what end is this technology to be used? Refugees from this nation claim their excuse for a governement tailors with the human genome, seeking, trying, succeeding to create a “super race”! This governement manipulates the human genome as if it were a plaything; casting aside “failed” experiments. Since when is a human life deemed failed? Ask yourselves, comrades, with what do they intend to use this super race for? Too many times we have seen genocide of people considered lesser. Too many times this injustice has gone ignored. This will be an injustice not ignored!

There are risks to the child psychologically. How would you feel if you were raised in a cold lab, not the warm arms of loving parents? Physical problems plague the clones: premature aging, immune system failure, substantially increased birth size, liver and brain defect, and lung and kidney problems, and cardiovascular problems, unexplained death. But is there such a thing as unexplained death, ask yourselves? Can’t these deaths be explained with this rogue nations desire to play god? How many children must die for their pseudo-science? Along with the threats to the child, there are threats to the egg donor, which include risks to future reproductive health caused by the hormonal treatment required for egg retrieval. In the birth mother there is a chance of late-term fetal loss and spontaneous abortions. The evil state run labs do not consider this when they waste human life and irresponsibly play God. Children are gifts from God, not the state laboratory.

This country has a computer network, I understand, has been developed in this country, not created with human hands, but in the hands of a machine. They are developing artificial intelligence technology. They claim it is to maintain a computer network, but it is to codify their citizens like pigs ready to slaughter, so the Nation’s Secret Intelligence and Security Organization, the Overmind, can gather every information on every one of its citizens clearly invading their privacy. They watch every citizen on the street, in the office, through the bedroom window, snuffing out anyone who disagrees with their unjust policies. John confides to his wife his hated of human cloning; he is never to be seen again. People are implemented with bar-coded and branded like cattle or property, and tracked like foxes by these computerized bloodhound on a cyber foxhunt. And they claim this is for the “greater good” of the nation! Is it a “greater good” when its people are treated “lesser”?

The workers toil, creating products their leaders tell them to buy to finance a life of decadence among the aristocracy. The population is not only told to buy goods, but is rather forced too. Using the Overmind, the government watches its citizens making sure it obeys its Capitalistic demands. The freer the market, the freer the people? How are the people free when they don’t have a choice of which product to buy? The people themselves become a product of the state.

When one disagrees with the government is cast aside. You ask how I know? Who am I to speak of this? I know, comrades, I know. I speak of my homeland. There I was not a man, but a worm despised and scorned by the corrupted government and its business empires. I was taken out of my home one night. Any mask of “privacy” removed. I did not conform to their demands. They told me I was obsolete. I was a dissenter. I was to be used for further experimentation for weapons the likes of which the world has never seen. I escaped. I survived. I prevailed. And The Free Land of Bashan delivered me from the sword of tyranny, saved my life from the consumerist lion’s maw, and hid me from the eye of the Overmind’s bloodhounds. This was so I could speak to you today.

Now, I call The Free Land of Bashan my home. The government does not watch me, but watches over me. They tell me not what to buy, but rather regulate any corrupt business, protecting the environment and its people. Rather than using its people fashion a state bent on war, it helps it people fashion one of peace.

Too long has the UN turned its cheek, too long has the UN let the foul words of oppression fall of deaf ears, too long have we done nothing! The greatest sin is that of omission. Listen now. Later speak and act. Are you with us? Are you against us? Speak now. We must join to combat this nation. This wretched Sevaris!

Stand strong, comrades, our brothers and sisters soon will be liberated! They are not foresaken.

I find Mr. Kilroy's claims to be, well, most absurd. Absolutely none of this is true. The source he cites for the bulk of his piece is a United Nations report condemning my government in Sevaris- and, as we know, the UN favours third world nations and corrupt communist dictators, so we cannot believe what they say at all.

First, he claims that Sevaris is an aggressor, laying waste to nations for little or no reason at all: This is obviously not the case. Since the 1996-1999 Civil War, Sevaris has only been involved in a few conflicts- all of them to either defend Sevarisian sovereignty or intervene on behalf of democratic governments under attack by fascist oppressors. Sevaris believes in preserving human life and civilisation, and that is why we have fought wars. We are a peaceful people, however, if needs be, we will go to war.

Indeed, we are technologically advanced, Mr. Kilroy- you make refrences to our cloning programme, however, you misrepresent the facts. We go about cloning of human ORGANS and TISSUE, not human bodies. We do this so that people do not have to die whilst waiting for an organ transplant- thus improving medical science. You also make reference to abortion- we view this as a woman's right to choose whether or not she should have a child, so, therefore, I do not see the problem with legalising it.

You also claim that we clamp down on freedom of speech and freedom of expression- Anyone who has even been in Sevaris knows this is not true. The computer network you claim we use as a "Big Brother" system is infact a national anti-virus system- it works like Error Reporting on Windows, when a person gets his or her computer attacked by a virus, he sends data to our centres, where we process it and find new ways to fight the virus- the computer network is not capable of spying. You also claim that we have a secret police- Where's the proof? We have none. I've had multiple nations investigate this, and, we have no secret police. Sure, we have an intelligence directorate, but that handles foriegn- Our government is not in the business of spying on innocent civilians.

I'm proud to say that our record on worker's rights is very good- There is a specific body of the Ministry of Labour that is a 'Congress of Unions', where they bring to the government's attention problems in the workplace, and we promptly deal with them. We also treat our workers very well. Why, just recently, Parliament passed a bill raising the minimum wage to € 9.00 an hour, which is a step above many countries.

Our nation is a peaceful, liberal, socially-minded one. We are committed to providing for all of our people- no matter who they may be. Your accusations are completely and utterly false, and I suggest you get your facts straight.

Yes. We simply cannot say someone didn't exist because they were deleted. Otherwise, a lot of people's history would have to be re-written whenever someone is deleted for inactivity, or other things, like when I was deleted :mad: .

I find it disturbing that the 'communist' state of Caelta would call Yuna Mannerheim a whore. Mrs. Mannerheim is a wonderful woman and the kindest I've ever met. Yes, it is true that Sevaris and the Soviet Union have had shaky times due to Romania's communist party rule and the communist revolutions in Sevaris, but for the most part, those wounds have healed. It sickens me that a so-called fellow comrade would insult her so blatantly.

Who believes this radical anyway? Turning from mainstream press, Kilroy now joins the Basket Weaver, known for its dealings in the black market of Bashan.

My faithful readers! What is truth? Truth apparently is subjective as our “Esteemed” Kaiser demonstrates. I have just been released from incarceration under the Bashani government for my “radical” views. When has standing up for the downtrodden, standing up for justice been radical?

The government I love, the government of the Free Land of Bashan, has imprisoned me. But was it really this government? Or has the ruthless 6’ 2” ogress Yuna intimidated our spineless, yet beloved Elected Viceroy. It was her who sent the police to my house and had me incarcerated, under a mask baring the Viceroy’s visage!

I was then promptly questioned. I told them the truth, the whole truth. I told them of the Kaiser's evils present, past, and what seems to be Sevaris' future. I told them of the oppressed workers. I told them of my brethren. They doubt my words, lust like the Kaiser's “allies”. These “alliances” are but skin deep, Esteemed Kaiser; your whore holds them on strings and between her fingers. We only need to wait for the scissors to finally server their ties and begin a new age of freedom, led by the workers of the world, who you so oppress.

Using intimidation Sevaris avoids war and convinces other leaders to back them and their injustices! Look at what it has done to Bashan. My former newspaper now, the Bashan Bull – which is about how much that paper is worth for the lies it peddles about me – discusses Bashan has begun cloning research, no doubt under the legislation cast by the dark shadow of Sevaris and it’s Queen of Whores! Slick, your blood runs like oil, trying to ruin your enemies across your borders in foreign lands, tricking other leaders into doing your bidding.

I cry in the daytime, I cry at night, for the deliverance of my people. I ask why you other nations and workers are so far from my people. I stand here in this great congregation, before the Bashani, my fellow workers, and all peoples of the world of countries great and small. I am here to speak the truth and bear witness to what I have witnessed, of what I have seen done. I speak of the despised and afflicted proletariat of Sevaris. Sevaris stands by her allies as well- we do not make alliances for political or economic gain. We make them based on how relevant they would be to Sevarisian security- and whether or not we are on friendly terms with the government. We do not do it for short term benefit. We stand by our allies.

SCANDAL! The real story behind the imprisonment of Mr. Gene Kilroy, a respected Bashani journalist who spoke his mind. There has been quite a stir caused by Mr. Kilroy in two articles he has written. He has accused the Sevarian government of being vastly corrupt. Well today it seems the corruption has hit home in Mr. Kilroy's home country of Bashan. My sources have revealed to me that Mr. Demodov, the elected viceroy of Bashan, had an extramarital affair with Yuna Mannerheim. Whether or not you agree with Mr. Kilroy's label of Mrs. Mannerheim as a "whore", an undeniable fact is that many men have fallen for her voluptuous charm. This incident occurred after Mr. Kilroy's first article on Sevaris in which he claimed the Sevarian culture was in a pool of moral decay. There was a secret meeting of the head officials of the two governments to decide Mr. Kilroy's fate. Mr. Mannerheim was sick and was unable to attend this conference so Mrs. Mannerheim was the highest Sevarian official present. The negotations were not going well; The Sevarians wanted the indefinite imprisonment of Mr. Kilroy and an apology from him telling the world that his article was a blatant lie, the Bashanis were insistent on each citizen's right to free speech and therefore were against punishing Mr. Kilroy at all. Finally the negotations were breaking down and the Sevarian party was prepared to leave without a deal when Mrs. Mannerheim proposed a last attempt; a meeting between the highest-ranking official present of each country: herself and Mr. Demodov. This proposal was immediately accepted and the two went behind closed doors. A young Bashani woman who worked in the viceroy's residence described what she observed next. "The two argued vehemently for a while about the fate of Mr. Kilroy. Then Mrs. Mannerheim suggested that they both calm down and discuss the matter later. Mr. Demodov agreed and ordered drinks for the both of them. Mrs. Mannerheim purposely spilt her drink on her blouse, unbuttoned it seductively, and took it off so casually that one would think she did this at every diplomatic meeting (if you believe Mr. Kilroy, she does do this at every diplomatic meeting). Mr. Demodov immediately wanted her and forgot his loving wife and two kids as fast as it took Mrs. Mannerhiem to unclasp her bra. Mr. Demodov was totally under her spell and offered to give anything to be with her. She wanted the imprisonment of Mr. Kilroy, he agreed, and slept with her." Afterwards the Sevarian delegation returned home and Mr. Kilroy was imprisoned. The offer to extradite him to Sevaris was made to please Mrs. Mannerheim. Only after intense pressure form within his own government did Mr. Dedomov release Mr. Kilroy. Mr. Demodov threatened to ostracize any news organization that dared to hire Mr. Kilroy. So it now appears that the price of freedom in Bashan is sex. I hope that this is an isolated incident and the claim of excellent Bashani political freedoms is just not more Bashani bull.

No I personally and most of my country think Yuna is a very honerable woman. Kilroy though has doubts... Simpatia recently has taken a liking to Kilroy's style. My country leader denies what SImpatia has posted, mostly because it's untrue... or so I think...

No I personally and most of my country think Yuna is a very honerable woman. Kilroy though has doubts... Simpatia recently has taken a liking to Kilroy's style. My country leader denies what SImpatia has posted, mostly because it's untrue... or so I think...
