Generalissimo J.L. was beginning to discover that imperialism was like a drug. It had a very stimulating, pleasing, euphoric effect, yet was dangerously, almost incurably, addicting. The larger his empire grew, the greater his desire for more lands to conquer became. His insatiable appetite for domination continued to expand, until it robbed him of sleep. Many a night he spent tossing and turning, mumbling the names of countries under his breath that he planned to conquer, subjugate, and annex. He could concentrate on little else. Virtually every thought that pervaded was one pertaining to his imperialistic ambitions and desires. Whether it was in the shower, at the dinner table, or out in the fields whipping Shooban slaves, it was always the same: he could think about nothing else but conquering.
Most of the world is under the heel of some foreign power or another, he thought, stroking his scrupulously-trimmed mustache. Few lands remain undominated...a condition I plan to remedy.
Unfolding a ragged, wrinkled, faded, dust-covered map of the world, he peered over it as if it were a contract: slowly, cautiously, deliberately, taking in every detail.
When he stumbled across it, and it almost literally jumped out at him, like a ravenous tiger from the bushes.
Chad.
Quickly, he mentally profiled the country. Fairly large, mostly desert, among the world's poorest countries, politically unstable, with rampant famine and poverty. His diagnosis: ripe for domination.
Without wasting a second, he ran to the phone and dialed up the number of the Department of War.

-Generalissimo J.L.
Roach-Busters
26-03-2005, 02:01
Unlike other invasions, this one would be different: Generalissimo J.L. (http://www.geocities.com/mr_whud/GeneralissimoJL.JPG) himself would lead the troops into battle, astride his magnificent, pulchritudinous white stallion (http://www.geocities.com/mr_whud/The_horse_of_Generalissimo_JL.JPG), wielding his trademark scimitar (http://www.geocities.com/mr_whud/The_sword_of_Generalissimo_JL.JPG) and garbed in his military uniform.

The horse thundered rapidly across the dusty, barren plains, kicking up thick fumes as dust, as the Generalissimo raised his sword high, the blade- which had killed thousands of his enemies- glinting beneath the unrelenting glare of the searing desert sun. He bellowed at the top of his lungs, "CHAAAAARGE!" as the horse raced across the Niger-Chad border, and hundreds of thousands of Army men, Marines, and National Guardsmen followed suit, toting guns and shouting, "For the Generalissimo! For God! For the Generalissimo! For God!"
Meanwhile, high above their heads, soaring through the sky like hawks in pusuit of prey, jets, bombers, and helicopters made their way toward N'Djamena, the capital city, to embark on a massive bombing spree.
Roach-Busters
26-03-2005, 02:11
The rampaging invaders swept through the blazingly hot desert like a swarm of locusts, charging into the city of Nokou, where RB tanks fired at the walls of primitive buildings, causing them to crumble like sand castles, as RB soldiers shot on sight any Chadian soldiers or policemen they saw.

(OOC: Wow! Chad's military (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_of_Chad) has less than 20,000 soldiers! This is going to be a piece of cake!)
Roach-Busters
26-03-2005, 02:21
The squadrons were almost casual in their undertaking; realizing the Chadians did not pose even a fraction of a semblance of a possibility of a slight threat, they flew in a dazed, half-hearted, lethargic manner, as if drunk. They unloaded all their bombs, causing a flurry of rapid explosions which illuminated the city as seas of flames scorched entire city blocks, roasting hapless people to ashes. Missiles streaked through the air, decimating buildings and burying alive hundreds and even thousands of more people.

Meanwhile, in the west, the Generalissimo and his men charged on, wreaking havoc and laying waste to everything that stood before them.

Twenty Minutes Later...

Generalissimo J.L. received a message, via radio, that the government of Chad had wisely surrendered. He contacted the squadrons, told them to cease fire and return to base.

"Men," he said, "the RB African Empire is now complete!!!"

The men cheered wildly, howling like wolves and shooting their guns in the air. This had been the easiest invasion yet.

President Holtz had returned to his mansion from the hospital. He walked straight into his office and began working. Just then, an aide bursted through the doors. "What is it?" President Holtz inquired. The aide took a moment to breath and then handed Holtz a report. Holtz took it and read carefully for about 15 minutes. President Holtz sighed, "My friend J.L. is becoming obsessed with domination. This must stop. My people are dying in these affairs and I'm sick of them. We're already in a war, this is insane!" he thought. He then dialed a number on his phone, and waited. "Come on, J.L., answer the phone!" he thought.

"Hello, Generalissmo. It's me, President Holtz. I want you to know this straight-forward: You must stop invading countries! I am sick and tired of sending my people to die! Besides, you are becoming obsessed with domination. Now, it is poor, weak countries, but soon you'll start turning on your allies, like my country. You are not a totalitarian conquering-maniac, I know that. You are a great figure of the free world!" John responded.

"My friend, Chad will not be poor and weak much longer," Generalissimo J.L. said. "As we speak, tens of thousands of school teachers, doctors, nurses, missionaries, and engineers are being flown to the country. We will build hundreds of schools, hospitals, orphanages, factories, and much more. We will make Chad an economic powerhouse!"

"True, and that's great and all, but you must know when to stop invasions. This one is fine, and I bet many others will be too. But what I am worried is is that you will get addicted to conquering like a drug. And I am afraid I can't send troops for this one. We are already helping you and Emperor Varus conquer Central America, and it has been costly in money, and a bit costly in lives. Only today I had to attend 35 funerals for the troops who were slaughtered in the Scouting Massacre. Well, goodbye, J.L., and good luck with rebuilding Chad." John replied.

"I am sorry to hear that," J.L. said. "However, I would appreciate it if you sent medical and economic aid to ease the plight of these poor people. And not to worry, I only have two more countries left to conquer, and I'll be done!"
