Baghdad (now called Babylon after the ancient city outside the capitol of Warta Endor), Presidential Palace

The President of Warta Endor, John Ar-Albeigha, had called a meeting with all chiefs of staffs, ministers and advisors. The only thing the men knew was that the President had a new plan. He was ambitious and young, a perfect combination for who rules such a powerful nation. In fact, some knew exactly what will be discussed in the meeting. These were the Minister of Defense Abdul al Arabia, Chief of Staff Field Marshall Ali Fakasan and the minister of Foreign Affairs Karim Hengist. They had developed and prepared operation Safir Medal. What the plan will be?

John Ar-Albeigha: "Gentleman, and Ladies of course, I have called you together for this special meeting due to one reason. As maybe some of you know, I have plans to unite the Arabian/Muslim world into one nation. Stage one of this ambitious plan, I must accept it is ambitious, is Operation Safir Medal. Field Marshall, will you explain?"

Everybody was watching the Field Marshall as he stood and walked to a small podium. The lights went on and a screen came up. A huge map of the Middle East appeared on it. The Field Marshall began to speak as everyone stared at the map.

"Ladies and gentlemen. Here you see the Middle East. The area that is most rich in Oil in the world. The one who controls the world controls the world’s economy. Even better, we control the political and military world too! The world can't live without oil. But now t the job I'm trained for. *Laughter in the room* The Field Marshall hits a button on the desk in front of him. Green arrows appear in Kuwait and the North Eastern part of Saudi Arabia. This is phase one of Operation Safir Medal. This is the actual movement of the troops, but the war will long be started before the war begins. Riyadh, Kuwait City, other large cities and of course military targets and oil fields will be bombarded 3 days before the artillery shelling starts. The shelling will last another 4 days. Then, a week after the war has begun, armored units of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd armies will cross into Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Kuwait will be an easy target, the main problem will be the craters in the landscape! *Again a round of laughter* Once Kuwait is in control, the 2nd Marine division will land in Bahrain. After the armies have marched the routes of the arrows, the next phase begins. He presses the button again and a massive amount of blue arrows appear on the map. By now, Ladies and Gentlemen, the war will really begin. All borders will be crossed. Speed is crucial, from the 1st Army to the 6th army, the majority of the units is heavy. MBT's, howitzers, MLRS' etc. The seventh army however (the most westerly) will consist mainly of light armored units, APC's and a few MBT's. They must cross mountainous terrain, which is hard for heavy material to cross. At the end of phase two, we will call upon the Saudi government to surrender. Riyadh and the oil fields will be in our hands. If they accept, the 2nd till 7th army will advance towards the Yemenite and Omanian borders. If not, which will be almost the path they will take, we will continue with phase three. Dark blue arrows appear on the map We will further advance and capture the holy cities, the UAE and the important part of Oman. Resistance should be light as since the war has begun, the units have been under continuous air attacks. To finish the job, we'll have phase four and five. Yellow and Purple arrows appear on the map. We will control the Arabian Peninsula and the world's oil reserve with in 5 or 6 weeks after the first bombs and shells shuddered the earth. We will use the 8th, 9th and 2nd reserve armies for occupation duties. The number thing will be like this: Map disappears and a number sheet flashes up

It remained deadly silent. After a while, the foreign affairs adviser raised his hand.
Field Marshall: "Yes?"
Advisor: "What about the world opinion? Wouldn't a war in this region effect the oil price and stuff? I can imagine that some nations wouldn't be to pleased if their oil supply gets cut off."
Field Marshall: "Fair question. We will supply any allies with oil. Those who won't agree will just have to buy it. Those who oppose us will be embargoed!"
Advisor: "Right, that’s all."
Field Marshal: "More questions?"
The Minister of Economics raised his hands and began to speak:
Minister of Economics: "How long before the operation will begin?"
Field Marshall: "The men will have a further advanced training for another two weeks (1RL day, if someone objects, say it) and then...We will first send a message to the governments of course. *Laughter* More questions? Good. Mister President"
John: "Nothing. Meeting over."

Everybody left the room, accept the President. He stared at the map which has returned on the screen. He was thinking of what the consequences could be. They would be victorious, accept if a strong nation opposes us. We will start a friendly tour with the powerful on the world. Yes, he would send messages tomorrow. Yes, he would...

"Goodmorning mister President."
"Goodmorning Anna. Got coffe for me, honey?"
"As always, mister President."
"Ahhhh, thank you *takes a sip* good coffe as always. Whats the program for today?"
"Oh, I'll look it up. Just a minute Johnny."

Ahhh, she's fine. Beautifull woman. And makes good coffee too! Very intelligent.

"Got it mr. President. You got a morning meeting with the old man (the Field Marshall) and mr Abdul al Arabia. That's at 0830 hours. The meeting will take an hour. Then you have an appointment with the Gouvernor of Palestine till 1030. At 1100 hours you'll have your morning fitness round. Lunch will be at 1230 hours. Some paperwork from 1400 till 1700. Then you're free for the day untill 2100 when you have your night meeting with the Chiefs of Staffs."
"hmm, thank you. Can you move the appintment with the gouvernor to 1730. He can join me with dinner if he wants."
"Ok, I'll tell him."

After the morning meeting with Abdul and the old man he sat in his comfortable chair. He opened his labtop and began to write the following messages.

Greetings,

I as leader of Warta Endor, would like you to be warned of the following plan. You might approve or disaprove, it is up to you. Note that supporters will receive "benefits" of the following campaign.

The Nation of Warta Endor is destinied and willing to control the Arabian/Muslim world. And due to our massive population we must expand. In order to do this, we have the plan to attack the lands on the Arabian Peninsual. As this may have a drastic result for the world oil price we would like to warn you, so you can stockpile or take other actions. Because a long war will be extremely dangerous for the world economy we want to make it a short war. The war could be shorter if we receive your support. Consider that supporters of our campaign will be rewared for their support...

"Well, he thought, we will see now. Lets hope they will be reasonable. He then ordered oil to be rationed and in a secret move, drop 2500 special forces in Saudi Arabia who must disorginize and destroy communication lines in D day. He laughed loud. The war has already begun!

1713 hours, D day minus 13

The electronic warfare had begun. In preparation for the Special Ops dropping communication and radar would be disrupted across Saudi Arabia. At first, it would be minimal disruption which would become slowly worse, to a climax of total disruption at about 2300/0000 hours. The Special Ops would land at about 0005 hours, when the disruption would be at its peek. Then it would slowly become less untill all communication and radar will become normal again at about 0500/0600 hours. The disruption would be done by several planes and posts along the border.

Major: "Men, to repeat the objectives:
-Land and set up base without detection. If detected, kill/destroy anyone who discovers you. If things get hot, retreat.
-Scout and mark enemy positions, supply routes, sentry positions etc.
-at D day minus 3 hours, you'll attack army and air force bases, disrupt supply lines and randomly create chaos. Continue untill regular troops link up.

Emperor Desciver smiled as he read the report about Warta Endor, but it wasn't a kind smile. It was something his closet friends had come to fear. It meant he was planning something, something that would bring Dracun to its "Glory". He read the report even more fully, including the message attached to it. No, I will be the world super, and those who do not bow before me will perish..

Egypt
The call went out for a massive mobilization, and it was soon answered. The various military bases were becoming hectic, with activity unlike ever seen. Ships began to dock, and other leave as soon as the mobilization began. It was obvious the Emperor was planning something but what? The same was occurring throughout the Dracun Empire, Italy and Greece this occurred as well.

President John Ar-Albeigha was sure the plan would work. No one had reacted negative, actually no one reacted at all! The preparations continued as oil was rationed and stockpiled in underground bunkers. Armoured units held trials in the desert and the navy, though small, was also practising on the seas. Suddenly, the foreign Minister Karim Hengist and Defence minister Abdul al Arabia bursted into the room.

"Mister President. We have a reply from Dracun Empire! And its not good at all!"
"WHAT! Damn, we can't have that! Let me read the message!"
"Here sir, its short but very clear."
The president began to read, his eyes widened as he put down the note and looked out of the window.
President: "Damn...How's the 10th and 11th? And the 1st Reserve?"
Abdul al Arabia: "The 10th and 11th have dug in along the Palestian border. Engineering is busy and almost done with building improved fortifications and laying minefields. The 1st reserve is further back along the line Dead Sea-Jeruzalem-Tel Aviv. I advice you send another message, while preparing the air firce to attack the Suez canal and ports to stop troops and equipment flowing into the Sinaï. An air strike must be the last option. Immediantly after the air strike, the 10th and 11th should roll into Sinaï up to the Suez canal. Then send another message in which you say that you will retreat once they demobilize. Give compensation etc. and propose an alliance. You need at least one powerfull ally."
Karim Hengist: "I agree. But what about Safir?"
Abdul al Arabia: "Attack at the same time as the tenth and eleventh. They will have less air support, but still enough superiority. I hope."
John Ar Albeigha: "Why! Everything went well! Ahhh, I suspected a bit of resistence, but Dracun is probably mobilizing to attack us!"
Abdul al Arabi:"Also warn the troops in Syria and Lebenon. If he attacks from the sea."
John Ar Albeigha:"What do we got there?"
Abdul al Arabia:"The 12th, 13th and 14th. The 16th and 15th are along the border with Turkey. Also the 3rd, 4th and 5th reserve are in Syria and Lebanon."
John Ar Albeigha:"Put the 12th, 13th, 3rd and 4th in the coastal defences. And improve them. The 14th must reinforce the 1st reserve and lay a defence line along the river Jordan (Dead Sea-Gulf of Akaba). The 5th must stay further inland. Let the other troops prepare defences also, except the ones for Operation Safir. They must dig in lightly."
Abdul al Arabia:"Yes sir!"
John Ar Albeigha:"Good. I need a drink. What do you want?"
Abdul al Arabia:"For me a coffee."
Karim Hengist:"A whiskey for me sir."
John Ar Albeigha :"Great. Let's drink on a fortunate campaign."

They drank and the president wrote a message. He would wait for an answer with the two comrades together. This was a matter of importance which neither Karim, John nor Abdul had ever experienced. The troops along all borders received orders, the 1st (meditaranian fleet) returned to port and the air force and defences were on a high. What would the future bring?

The military port of Tel Aviv-submarine section

[I]25 SSN 21 prepared to leave the port. they would follow Dracun shipping in the Meditaranian. They would be followed in 4 RL hours with another 30 SSN21 subs. In case of war they would attack the shipping. In another section, 5 minelayers were leaving port. they would lay mines along the coast all the way up to Turkey, accept for some open spaces for shipping. the 1st Fleet would stand by to attack Dracun Eygypt via sea, together with the 1st, 3rd and 5th Marine divisions. The fleet looks like this (note: the submarines are another fleet):

"They could become one of the most powerful bloody empires in the world with so much control over the oil," exclaimed Grand General Charles Skops, obviously not thrilled with the recent turn of events. "I say we jump on with the Dracun Imperium. We have one of the most powerful navies in the world-- Let's use it!"
"And risk losing one of our major oil supplies?" argued Lord Richard Gaius Zorag, the minister for Industry.
"Besides, even if we wanted to, several of our more active fleets are busy in Morocco," said Grand Admiral Eric Tarda. "And they'll be busy for several days."
"Declare neutrality," advised Alexander Perkins, the Minister for Foreign Affairs. "Wait this one out. If it looks like Warta Endor is going to lose, step in with Dracun. If not, maintain neutrality and wait still. If Warta Endor wins, give them money for rebuilding."
Emperor Scorpius frowned, stroking his chin. "Hmm... Very well. Publicly declare neutrality. Also, get me on the line with Truitt's presidente. I do believe that our Osean friends will be most pleased with a plan I am formulating."



Official Imperial Statement
The Grand Imperium of Risban has issued a declaration of neutrality for the time being in the Middle Eastern conflict. We strongly recommend that navies from neither side near the Strait of Gibraltar, as both the empires of Risban and Truitt are engaging in conflicts in that area.

While waiting for Dracuns reply, an attendant came running in with the neutrality declaration of Risban. The news rocked the room.

Karim Hengist:"Blow it off, in Allahs name! We don't have any friends! We need support from at least two foreign powers! Blow it off!"
Abdul al Arabia:"Coward! I'd say a surprise attack on the Suez canal as we discussed earlier. Storm towards the canal and south towards the oil flieds along the Persian Gulf. Let the air force concetrate entirely on Dracun. Only a few bombers and about 75 fighter-bombers for support. throw the rest on Cairo, Alexandria and the canal. Please sir, give the order!"
John Ar Albeigha:"No. I'll wait for a reply first from Dracun. Let Southern Command Stand by. If we have a negative reply...well, only Allah knows what I have in mind."
Karim Hengist:"Blow it off, please!"
Abdul al Arabia:"SHUT UP! Excuse me sir, but in one point I must agree with whining Karim here. Our list of friends is small, lets say, no one is our friend. But we can't blow it off! Fuck the oil, turn northwards to Turkey, or east towards Iran, we need more space! We can't sustain 1.1 billion people in desert!"
John thought of his youth, when his father would take him on his knee and talk to him. The one thing he always said was:"Johnny, whatever you do, make sure you have enough, or at least a powerfull friend. In this world you can do nothing on your own. the days of Empires are over. No one will rule over the world as the romans did, or the Mongul horde of Genghis Khan, or Brittania. Make friends, then continue with the plans you have. Don't haste things. Patience is everything. Wait, and the world will tremble under your feet." He smiled as he thought at what he answered:"But, I don't want the world to tremble!"

Abdul al Arabia:"Why do you smile sir?"
John Ar Albeigha:"Nothing, childhood memories. No, we wait."
Both:"Yes sir, but..."
John Ar Albeigha:"Shhhhh! Wait..."

Babylon, Imperial Palace. The time is 07. 15

It was a very tiring night. Abdul al Arabia was sleeping in his chair, while Karim Hengist was lying on a couch. John Ar Aleigha was looking out of his window to the rising sun. There was no reply from Dracun the entire night. Nor did the others react. "Ahhhh," he thought "does Dracun really knows what I'm up too? I don't think so. If the plan works, he'll lose Egypt, no doubt. If he attacks, he's toast too!" Units were entrenched in large fortifications. The fortifications had already been build years ago, and he expanded them early in his reign. The last few weeks had been used to further improve the fortifications. Minefields of almost 1 mile in width, miles and miles of barbed wire, concrete trenches and bunkers, fixed AA and regular artillery batteries and tank/vehicle shelters. The Bunkers could be closed to prevent gasses to enter the bunkers, while the machineguns kept firing through the specialy designed holes. Half a million men occupied this line of fortifications, and they wouldn't abandon them to the enemy without inflicting heavy casualties. Suddenly, Abdul stood aside him.

Abdul al Arabia:"Goodmorning sir. Any news?"
John Ar Albeigha:"Good gracious! You surprised me! No news yet. Everything is calm. I have ordered training of units for the assault to be held with the simulators. Also the 10th, the 11th and the 1st reserve are in training, those units not on guard I mean." That was a good investment, those simulators!
Abdul al Albeigha:"Yes, they are quite handy. But they cost an awfull lot of money."
John Ar Albeigha:"But good spended."
Abdul al Arabia:"Yes that's true. Damn, I want the action to begin! We can swamp Dracun easily if you order it! We'll be at the Suez canal in two days from now if you order it right away!"
John Ar Albeigha:"We wait, just wait. I have a bit of hope left."

Both men continued to stare out of the window, as the city of babylon woke up and Karim snored happily on the couch.

ooc. This is a memo to all chief advisors, military figures and ministers

Operation Shining Water-Second Front Operation Safir Medal

[I] this memo concerns the threat of Dracun Imperium. To prevent an attack on Palestine/Jordan, a "pre emptive strike" will be made at the same moment as Operation Safir Medal. While Southern command strikes into the Arabian Peninsula, Palestinian Command will attack Egypt. The units to be used are the 10th, 11th and 1st reserve armies.

The operation starts with an intensive three hour heavy bombardment by air and artillery units. Immediantly after the air bombardments end, the 111st and 666th Para divisions will be dropped on two places:
1)near Suez, southern en d of the canal (the 666th)
2) near Bi'r arth Tamadah (the 111st)
These units will disrupt Dracun supply lines. The 666th must also try to capture Suez and hold untill relieved by ground forces.

Armoured and Mechanized units will strom after the end of the artillery bombardments to the following main targets:
1)Port Said, Al Qanjarah, Ismaillia and Suez for the 11th army.
2)Sudr and Sharm al Sheik for the 10th Army.
The link-up with the Para Divisions by the Third Corps of the Eleventh Army must be established in 2-3 days. The entire eastern end of the Suez Canal must be reached in 3-4 days by the First, Second and Third Corps'.
The entire southern end of the Sinaï (and thus the entire Sinaï) must be controlled in 3-4 days. It is crucial to destroy all the forces of Dracun east of the canal (in the Sinaï) as quickly as possible. Heavy bombardments will be executed on the major Egyptian and Greek cities with the following targets:
1) destroy the military potential of Dracun in Egypt and Greece.
2) destroy the industrial potential of Dracun in Egypt and Greece.

The navy will engage Dracun reinforcements while being transported from or two Egypt and Greece. This must mainly be done by naval air craft, missiles and submarines. It is important to prevent Greece, and especially Egypt to be reinforced.

Southern Command, Basra-2230 hours

Field Marshall ben Achmed: "Phase one of Operation Safir Medal has a go. Artillery will commence fire in 15 minutes. Fighter-Bombers have taken off to destroy the airfields. Special Ops will *looks on watch* oh, wait. They're now attacking bases in the North of Saudi Arabia. And soon they will disrupt supply lines. Any comments?"
General Bazasiski:"Well...this is the moment of truth!"
Field Marshall ben Achmed:"It sure is."

Random air force base, Northern Saudi Arabia

About 350 special ops gathered around the air force base in the darkness. They would storm the base, and take over control. Major Ben Gurion with his platoon of 70 would assault the four hangars. It wouldn't be easy as the hangars were of reinforced concrete and guards were everywhere. First, the 15 snipers would take out the guards. Then the 35 assault troops would storm foreward under cover of the 5 machinegunners. RPG's woud atke out any heavier targets like armoured patrol cars, tanks and helicopters.

"Ok men, you know what to do. Snipers, take out the guards."
"Yes sir!"
*crackle THUD, crackle THUD*
Within 10 seconds, the thirty guards around the hangar were taken out.

"MOVE! For the Republic!"
"HURRAAAAAAAAAH!!!"

"Achmed, into that entrance, kill anything you see. Ali, cover me!"
"Yes sir!"

Achmed and his team went into a side entrance. Soon, shots were hearded and Major Ben Gurion stormed trough the front side of the hangar. The hangar was deserted except for 8 F15D's. The men continued into the office part of the hangar. They went around a corner and looked into a hallway. They were very lucky, they had sneaked up behind the forces fighting Achmed and his team.

"Fire!"

*tic, tic, tic flash BOOOOOM!!!*
"Check for the Saudi's! If they're alive, take them!"
"Yes sir!"

The raid was a succes. The base had been taken in 10 minutes. 187 Saudi's were taken prisoner, including the commander. The rest of the garrison of 1050 were killed...The special ops ad suffered 4 deads and 26 wounded. Helicopters would take the prisoners and wounded and bring reinforcements at sunrise. The first battle was over.

Just inside Warta Endorean Air Space, 2250

The pilots of 15 F16I (armed with 4 clusterbombs against Runways and two AIM-120 AMRAAM ), 10 F22 (armed with 6 AIM-120 AMRAAM and 2 AIM-132 ASRAAM) and 25 Su37 (armed with the same clusterbombs as the F16I) who just left their bases saw the flashes of the artillery who fired upon Kuweit and Saudi Arabia. Within moments, they were in Hostile Air Space. Their targets were air ports along the eastern coast of Saudi Arabia. The F22 would fight of any enemy air craft. They now flew at about 75 meters above the desert. Suddenly, the radar picked up enemy fighters.

"Red leader to Red Storm-A (5 F22), engage the enemy fighters. Computer identifies them as F15D's. Watch it guys."
"Red Storm-A to Red leader, copy that. Breaking formation and climbing to 9 km."
"Roger."

The F22's turned upwards and towards the F15D's. There were 7 of them and they still hadn't picked up the F22's. Suddenly, 5 broke formation and flew straight otwards them. Electronic devices hadn;t picked up any radar signal being locked on the F22's so they didn't worry.

"Red Strom-A, fire one AIM120 for each plane. If one survives, fire another."
"Copy that...missile away!"

The F15D's were completly surprised. four splashes were reported. The other one barely maneged to escape its missile. But suddenly it dissapeared from the radarscreen's though no splah was seen. The two others were a bit more prepared as they noticed that their comrades were splashed. They launched countermeasures and returned fire. The F22's fired another salvo of AIM120's and evaded the missiles fired. This time the F15's were also shot down.

While the F22's were battling the F16I's and Su37 attacked various air ports succesfully. The entire group returned to base without any casualties but with seven kills.

Border with Kuwait,0530-H hour

Engines of the Merkava's, Leopard's HMMVV's and other armoured rrolling stuff roared to life as the vehicles sprang foreward over the Kuwaiti and Saudi Border. If everything went according to plan, they would have finished Phase one by tomorrow nightfall. The men were confident with a quick victory. Warta Endor would succeed! Apache Longbow's flew low over the advancing columns to support the attack. Higher up were the F22's and F16I's and other support air craft. Even Higher were the B2's and B52's who were on their way to the major cities. They would attack governmental and military targets with precise bombs and missiles. the columns were now a few miles in enemy territory. Suddenly, the men heared roaring engines coming from behind. They cheered as they saw the A-10 Warthogs coming over at about 30 meters. Their moral, if possible, was lifted even higher. They would storm across the Arabian peninsula and capture it in record time and with minimum casualties. It was a great day to be a soldier.

In the sectors of the other armies, the artillery bombardment continued. They knew it was senseless and soon they would halt. Smoke rose in the morning sun as the wrecks and ruined bunkers burned. There were some counter attacks with mortar, artiillery and planes which were easilly beaten off, but with casualties. No war is without casualties.

Update Operation Safir Medal-D Day plus 2 days, 1830 hours

The attack went supremly well. The perfectly trained troops just rolled straight through Kuwait and quickly took the city itself after a battle of three hours. The other units had stormed into Saudi Arabia and moved along the oil fields of the Persian gulf. They were now near the City of Damman. The units paused for a while so other troops could catch up and they could rest and eat a bit. They had justed captured the airport and looked down to the city. Crusader artillery had justed set up camp and fired their deadly load in the light of the setting sun.

Pvt. Ali: "Artillery is sure sprayin' tonight."
Sgt. Habibi: "They'd better hit the good targets, I don't want a heavy battle before I go to sleep!"
Pvt. Ali: "Booom! Another bunker hit! I'm sure they'll hit the right targets. Damn, I wanna move on!"
Sgt. Habibi: "We'll probably move on in an hour or so."
Pvt. Ali: "I hope so..."

Meanwhile, in Southern Command HQ, the President and the Minister of Defence had travelled south towards the command. The President would give the order to launch Phase Two of Operation Safir Medal. Units all along the border were ready to move into Saudi Arabia. The Second Marines where on the Persian Gulf to invade Bahrein. The invasion was later than planned but better late than never as an old saying said.

Chief of Staff:"Welcome mister President. Here, take this seat, and you minister of Defence, take this one."
Both of the men:"Thank you."
Chief of Staff:"Will you give the order, mister President?"
President John ar Albeigha:"...Yes, launch phase two..."
Chief of Staff:"Yes sir!"

As the order was given, it take only a few minutes, at the most two, before the units rolled over the border. They stormed at full speed foreward. The units who were in the east also ended their pause and climbed into their vehcles and trucks. The air force would again pave a way for the advancing units. The all out war had really begun now...

Riyadh-D day plus four, 1953 hours

The men of the 11th Armoured Division had quickly advanced towards Riyadh. Their orders were clear: Use all necessary measures to reach your goal, but if possible, try to spare the civillian population which remain friendly. The last three words were added to prevent what the Americans happened long ago in Iraq. They had a very difficult time to eliminate insurgents as they were ordered to not kill civillians if possible. The 11th was now in Riyadh, slowly they advanced towards the palace and main governmental buildings. So far the hadn't met any resistence, but it was rumoured that a large tank battle was going on in the east. Everything was quiet untill...

"MEDIC! Captain is out! I'll take command! Get the HMMVV's and Merkava's for reinforcements! Take enemy positions out but move at full speed!"

The men were in the thisk of battle. Enemy RPG's and Machinegunners were in the buildings firing on the moving columns. Snipers were on the higher positions and claimed a lot of kills, including the captains. But as soon as the tanks arrived, the enemy was quickly beaten of or killed. The men steadily advanced while watching buildings carefully. They soon had to fight again, but this time the battle was less enjoyable for the enemy. The guards and other units who were near the palace and governmental buildings were quickly killed and the buildings stormed. Half an hour later, Riyadh was claimed captured.

The marines had also invaded Bahrein. The marines were astonished to see negotiators walking up the beach as they stormed the same beaches. Bahrein surrendered without a fight. Meanwhile, just South of Qatar, near the UAE border, some 450 Merkava IV's, 200 Merkava III's and 45 Leopards 2A6 engaged soem 300 Abrams M1A3's and 35 T-90's.

About 35 A-10 Warthogs flew low over the friendly tanks, while firing Hellfires and spraying their grenades in the enemy tanks. After the first pass, about 65 tanks lay burning. 34 more had been blown by the tanks themself. 3 Merkava's III lay burning, with the crew barely managed to escape. The Warthogs turned and with roaring engines and spitting guns fired their load once again. After half an hour, there was no opposition left. The tanks stormed past the burning wrecks and continued on to the UAE. Another day came to its end.

Dungsford: "Minister, now the guns are silent, the money must speak is a saying. How wil we rebuild the southern countries?"
dir Bakeim:"Call me Achmed. It is simple. We will use large quantaties of money (about 2.5 trillion from various budgets over 5 NS years, 500 billion per NS year) to rebuild and modernize former Kuweit, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Oman and Yemen. The infrastructure, houses, public buildings etc will be modernized or even rebuild. In some places the living conditions are horrible and we wish our new people to live at a Warta Endorean standard."
Dunsford: "Hmmm, yes. And what about the abundant reserves of oil which are in the area?"
Achmed:"Those will be nationalized. We will keep oil rations and increase spending in developing clean sources of energy. Our goal is to only use oil for the military and export."

Intern Military Bulletin

All armies involved in Operation Safir Medal(1st till 9th regular armies) accept the 8th, 9th and 2nd reserve armies have retreated back into the "old" Warta Endor. The resreve armies will occupy the newly conquered territories. 125000 local men have joined the army and will form the 21st Army, which will be stastioned in eastern Saudi Arabia.

Special memo to High Officers

The 1st to 3rd armies will reinfore the bordertroops of the 18th, 19th and 20th armies along the Iranian border. The 4th to 7th armies will go the Palestina to reinforce the troops for the Shining Water Operation. The 8th and 9th armies will reinforce the northern borders. Operation Shining Water will start as soon as possible.
