Jagada: Expansion of Air Force-Requests Offers

(OoC: Offers only please.)

The Commonwealth is currently going to be expanding its air force. We are curious if any nation is willing to sell to us. We have a limitation of 50 billion to spend on these planes, so please no planes too expensive, though at the same time nothing too technically inferior.

To whom it may concern.

The Regime of Adejaani is not known for many things, but the one thing we take pride in is a significant indigenous aerospace industry, namely AGI (Adejaani Government Industries). I direct your attention to The Omzian and Adejaani aircraft storefront (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=278248) and in particular, the AFD-9 Wasp (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=7458313&postcount=734).

The AFD-9 Wasp is specifically intended for fledgling nations who need relatively good, but relatively cheap aircraft that won't bankrupt the economy, or require a significant amount of maintenance.

Further, AGI will offer to help set up a fledgling aerospace industry, typically manufacturing components for inclusion into our finished products; or similarly, we manufacture components, which you'll receive and assemble, for your own needs. While AGI primarily deals with aerospace concerns, they are active in other manufacturing and industry sectors and they can help develop your nation's industries and infrastructure as well.

All we ask in return is your friendship and a small percentage of profits in the form of royalties, for example. However, all things are negotiable and I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Yours Sincerely
(Mister) Caesar Knox
Minister of Foreign Relations

AGI, your plane is most interesting. It appears to be a very cost effective plane. Jagada is very interested in such equipment and your the price we read off the link states 18 million per plane, which is VERY reasonable by our standards. We would like to purchase say Two-Hundred AFD-9 Wasps. We agree for friendliness in turn, though we're not sure how much you're asking in terms of royalities.

We are also curious if you're willing to sell us One-Hundred ABD-1 Spearchucker Heavy Bombers.

Bomber Price: 25,000,000,000

Fighter Price: 3,600,000,000

Total Price: 28,600,000,000

If you are still looking to purchase aircraft Phoenix Dynamix would be interested in selling you some of our fine aircraft.
Particularly we would suggest the F-33B, A-4X A-17, C-14, B-9, and the B-16 as they are all of high quality yet are low in cost.

You can view the images and descriptions here (http://phoenixdynamix.proboards38.com/index.cgi?board=Aircraft)

To whom it may concern

The "royalties" are for if you allow AGI to help develop your local aerospace infrastructure, or other manufacturing industries. In that event, if you chose this path, we "hope" that you remember our kindness with a small fee for helping you get on your feet.

Currently, the first of the two hundred (200) AFD-9 "Wasp" type fighters are being assembled and will be shipped shortly.

However, we strongly urge you against the bombers. While we fully acknowledge it is your nation- and your money to do with as you wish- Bombers typically tend to be extremely maintenance intensive. Indeed, Adejaani currently maintains an active force of around one hundred and fifty (150) bombers of the "Spearchucker" type only by buying three times that number (450), keeping only the best maintained ones in active service.

Perhaps a slightly better option would be long term lease. Instead of buying the bombers outright, simply "rent" a smaller amount, for training purposes, mainly, until your infrastructure and maintenance capabilities increase enough. Further, by "renting" the aircraft, our own trained technicians will be there to train your own personnel, as well as maintain them. This is generally the preferred option in either event as you reap the benefits, but bear only a small fraction of the burden.

Keep in mind that, however, that some aircraft are not available to the open market and that more advanced aircraft may have slightly older (inferior) equipment for export purposes.

Though in short, if you want something specific, ask for it specifically.

To AGI,

A long-term lease sounds interesting. As you know, the Jagadian Air Force is poorly built and our aerial manufacturing capabilities are nothing to brag about. If we accept this deal from you (both the aiding us in building our aerial industries and the leasing of the bombers) what kind of planes will we not be entitled to threw this industry? We are merely trying to get all our bases covered.

To The Phoenix Milita,

We will review your planes and reply soon.

(OoC: You can still make offers. Unless adopting one aerial industry and then accept planes from someone else is illegal in the game rules somehow.)

OOC: This is freeform. The worst that'll happen is a breakdown in relations with the original contractor, possible a war if they're that bad. But if they are, you're probably better off severing relations early anyway.

IC:

CSJMI has a large selection of aircraft available.

The Royal Tallarnian Dockyards, presents you the Storm multi-role attack aircraft, a decently prized aircraft that can preform a miriade of roles.

Storm Multi Role Attack Aircraft (http://es.geocities.com/hangar007/images/f14-tomcat.jpg )[Export version of the Raven]

Crew: 1, pilot
Wingspan: 14.5 m
Length overall: 19m
Height overall: 4.1m
Weight empty, equipped: 10010kg / 26,500 kg
Engines: two Dalas X-GH engines both providing 12.000 KG of thrust.
Max speed: 2,910 kmph
Service ceiling : 29,000 m
Range: 5760 km
Radar: CAPTOR long range tracking radar.
Weapons: 1 Vulcan 20mm cannon and 8 external mounts.

Cost: 17 million

The Storm class multi role attack aircraft is the export version of the Raven and is widely available to the general public. The aircraft doesn’t feature many of the high-tech gadgets and its performance is lower but its still a decent aircraft that can duke it out with any of the other fighters out there in the world.

It has VTOL abilities and is carrier capable alongside the fact that it has a downgraded version of the Raven’s anti-missile system which is still capable of knocking down incoming missiles.

The Storm seems like a reasonably good aircraft. Though I believe I already have Two-Hundred ADF-9 Wasps, and hopefully I still have a contract with them for the Leasing.

So, can only purchase say 20 Storm aircraft. These twenty will be put threw tests to see how they compare to other aircraft we have. Of coarse we'll still pay the price requested and such.

Total Price: 340,000,000

If we like the plane and wish to purchase more. Where exactly can we contact you at for more purchases?

The Storm, as we said can be used in a variaty of roles, ranging from long range interceptor to ground attack to ECM aircraft. The Storm would be capable of duking it out with the ADF-9 Wasp and our simulator has shown that most of the time the skill of the pilot will be the most important factor.

However, with the 20 aircraft that you have bought from us will come 200 groundcrew and instructors plus instruction manuals and spareparts for the next five years. We do not require any sort of extra payment for this, only decent lodging and food for our men, consider this our customer service.

OOC: Jagada, you can do whatever you like, even renege the contract. You might raise eyebrows and make an "enemy" out of a nation, but I (as a player) don't care. ;)

Final note, the AFD-9 Wasp is meant to be an "el cheapo". Not really a high performance one, just a cheap backup one better than today's F-16 and F/A-18. I developed it for people like Jagada who need capable without bankruptcy. So if you want to cancel the deal, your choice. You can still do a deal for the training thingies...

IC: The aircrafts available for leasing are the AFD-12 Matador heavy strike fighter (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=7782517&postcount=868); the AHD-1B Commanchero attack helicopter (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=7577602&postcount=797); and the AFD-10 Chimera Close Air Support aircraft (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=7579556&postcount=800).

It should be noted, of course, that it's not so much the "buying" of the aircraft (through renting or hard currency purchase), it's the development of infrastructure to support your budding Air Force. Aircraft are the most maintenance intensive branch of any military, where even one failed system might mean the loss of millions of investment (in terms of aircraft and trained pilot).

By "renting", although the end cost is higher, the rewards are significantly higher, as you end up with a trained personnel base, from which you'd domestically train additional personnel as needed.
