Following the collapse of the republic of Baltic Karelia, the Empire of Cotland have decided to annex Karelia Oblast to spare our long-time allies the fate that othervise would have brought them down to anarchy. Having little time to decide, the Empire will send in two Divisions to maintain order.
The first unit to cross the border to Karelia Oblast was the forward elements of the 66th Armoured Regiment, attached to the 9th Division. The forward elements, which consisted of two M3A3 Bradley Cavalry Fighting Vehicles and three M1114 Humvees, were followed by the rest of the Division, whose mission was to assist what remained of police in restoring peace and order.
The Cottish government issued the following statement to the people of what was formerly Baltic Karelia.
"Your government have been attacked by an internal enemy and been destroyed. The government have not been able to restore order in the states. Therefor, the Imperial Cottish Army are sending in two divisions to assist the people of Baltic Karelia, more specificly Karelia Oblast to restore order. You will not be harmed in any way. We are here merely to assist you. If the government cannot be restored, the troops have orders to assume power and make the former Baltic Karelia a Cottish autonomous republic. If that happens, we will give you all the information you want. But we do not wish to worry you in vain. Please, return to your everyday routines and live your lives like you always have. The Cottish soldiers are there to help you. Thank you."
