Soviet Tech: Wantin' tuh buy!

Inbreedia

The Confederacy of Inbreedia is seeking Russian/Soviet Bloc technology.

We want everything.

The old, the new. The cheap, the expensive. The plentiful, the rare. The most fabulous to the most incredibly mundane. We'll even settle for Communist China equipment.

We're durn sick of seeing nothing but Damnyankee technology, in fighter jets and assault mecha. What I want is some of that there Soviet stuff, the kind that was pretty decent, plentifully built, unsophisticated, reliable, and most importantly... AFFORDABLE!

Why buy them there F-22 when I can field more SU-35's and SU-37's at half the cost? Why get that fandangled glittle boy armor when Red Terror Super Mecha's are good enough? We're not made of money. C'mon! I want to see some cheaper alternatives!

We be awaitin' contract deals...

Oh, and to furtha advance our Space Program, we also be wantin' a Buran Class Space Shuttle to be made space worthy, ya know?

(NRPG: In the history of this game, has anyone tried using cheaper gear? I know the temptation of loading yourself with nothing but the most sophisticated US weapons, but lets face it... everyone's doing it! It's boring as hell, not much of a challenge, and you can't have alot of them without someone screaming bloody murder. I mean, come on! Wave after wave of Stealth Bombers and JSF's? Bullsh*t!

Has anyone compiled resources for use on NS about Soviet or alternative weapons?)

OOC: Yes, most recently, Hogsweat, but there are at least a dozen others who go for the cheap/lowcost equipment for thier nations. And still even more who use old USSR designs and new Russian or Soviet derived weapons... which are still expensive mind you.

Also I should note that, customized, unique to NS gear is pretty much the norm, altough admidtely alot of it is inspired US military technology.

I use Russian equipment, I wanted to use European equipment at first but then its always equipment from different nations.
So I went for cheap but reliable (and in most cases good) Russian equipment.

Also I dont buy much equipment, I make the stuff myself. Buying stuff usually means tyou have to keep track of what goes lost in battle (if you want to play it a bit realistic that is), now i can replace the material that is lost without much problems.
I'm not really supporting storefronts here, there are people who put alot of effort into designing their products and I have to admit that there are some excellent designers. But I play as reallistic as I can and prefer real existing weaponry.
