Subject: Invitation to the Marriage Rite

Greetings,
You are cordially invited to attend the ceremony of the Marriage Rite between Peshtur Namtar, of Uruk, and Karida Rahimah Sawsan, of Jericho.
It is hoped that either you, or a delegate on your behalf, will attend the ceremony in good will.

The ceremony will take place at the Temple of Inanna, in the city of Uruk. Gifts are not required, and security and lodging will be provided.
The ceremony will take place over two days, the first day will contain a feast and entertainment, where the second day will have the fficial ceremony itself, and the event will conclude with a reception and party to wish the happy couple a wonderful life together.

Lodging will be provided to all attendees within the city of Uruk.
Security will be handeled by the Special Operations Ranger units, who are normally tasked, trained, and equipped for the protection of governmental officials. It is requested that delegates do not bring a security detailalong, as the extra personell would merely complicate things.

We hope you will attend, and are awaiting your reply.

BODY: The FPCB and PCPB receives this invitation with heart. Though
our nation is torn with war, we can still make good time with our allies, such
as the Dostanuot Loj. While O Presidente cannot attend due to his station as
Commander in Chief, I would be gratified to represent the FPCB at this
occasion. I will be arriving by personal diplomatic jet, which will be clearly
marked and be escorted by a small wing of Brasilian military aircraft that will
protect against any possible Afrikaan attacks due to the current South
American conflict. As soon as the jet lands, the escort will disperse and only
return for takeoff. We are open to any objections and will try to accomodate.

I will be alone, and I will put my faith in the Dostanuot Loj security detail
for my safety, unless you have any requests for my personal protection or
attendants.

We'll send somebody right away.

We would be honored to attend. Already we are making preperations for sending an official delegation of eleven major diplomats, including Prime Minister Ulyanov and all Party Leaders. We hope this will be acceptable.

Also, on a related note, we would like to offer to provide a portion of the drinks to be served at the wedding, and we have already gone about procuring almost 20.000 USD in assorted liquors. Again, we hope we have not upset the arrangement of this wedding. If anything can be done to further convinence the brides' families, please contact us. The resources of Novikov's Foriegn Brancare at your disposal.

Your offer to provide refreshments for the event is graciously accecpted. However, we feel it should be noted that neither party involved in the rite drinks alcoholic bevrages, and in fact, Miss Sawsan's entire family refrains from alcohol.

So long as alcoholic beverages can be provided to other guests we will extend our offer to provide drinks to those guests not opposed to alcohol. It is considered tradition in Novikov to end any form of agreement with a glass of Vodka or, in more recent years, Cognac. We hope that it is acceptable to preform these traditional drinks, as well as social drinking, at the wedding and reception.

The Grand Prince, His sisters, and most importantly, The Almighty Emperor him self have expressed interest in coming to the wedding personally.

You can be assured that the people of Triancia welcome this joyous news. It would be disrespectful of my country if it's head of state did not attend this event personally. I should state that, while your defenses are excellent, I would like to bring a few members of the Triancian Federal Police Department, as well as a squad of Royal Triancian Marines, to insure my details and I's protection. And I would assume that, although gift are not requried, it would be allowed to bring them?

If you insist, you may bring a small security detachment. We don't take it as an insult, we merely wished delegates leave their security behind so as to allow a more relaxed atmosphere. I'm sure you can agree that if everyone came with a squad of soldiers, interaction would be slightly hindered by such a presence.
But, as I said, if you insist, bring your security forces, they can easily be accomodated.
As for the gift, well, we won't be angry if you bring one. The Government just prefers not to put pressure on anyone. The event is supposed to be a good time.

Response to Novikov:
We can't speak for the other guests, both international and local, in regards to consumption of alcohol. It is hoped that Novikovian officials will not be offended if the couple to me wed does not participate in the tradition. We wish we could disclose more information as to why, but at a personal request from Miss Sawsan we are only alowed to state that the reasons for not drinking are related to previous experiance on account of one of the parties. Also, Miss Sawsan's religion proibits such a consumption.
Still, free to bring your refreshmeents, if your Cognac is as good as it has been rumoured, some Governmental Officials here will certianly give it a shot.

It is Delightful that you will be attending. We will provide further information as plans are finalized, and as the gates are opened for the arival of delegates.

We understand your nation's request for a relexed atmosphere, and for an enjoyable time to be had by all. I should clarify that the TFPD will only be sending two men for my personel protection.

We would also like to mention that the squad of Royal Triancian Marines exists mainly as a ceremonial function. In the early 1880's, then King Joseph the Second estiblished the purpose of bringing a squad of the RTMC with him on such occasions to not only show the courtesy of the people of Triancia, but to also show Triancia's commitiment of supplying some of the protection needed. Because of this, the squad will be placed under the command of your security forces for the duration of the event. We plan to present them in full dress uniform, with functional, yet ceremonial, weaponry.

Although we know presents are not required, I could not happen to come across some old Green-Ocean Wine. It's from 234 XA...oh, dear me...That's, um...let me see...about 1976 in your years. Fine year for Green-Ocean Wine. One of the best I can think of. Please accept a bottle of this as a wedding present from myself. It is a red, bitter wine; but Green-Ocean is used for many Avalaxian weddings.

Ah, very well then. We will make the nessecary arangments with the Ranger units for cooperation with your unit. It shouldn't be much trouble. Besides, come gaurds in dress uniform would be much appreciated over the dark armour of the Rangers.

Since Easter is this weekend, I'm thinking I'll start having people arive for the wedding on say, Tuesday of next week, and then the ceremony will begin around next Friday. I'm dragging this out so long to allow a good character RP, and allow everyone to participate. In "fluid time" of course, the event will be 2 or 3 days.

Just so you know, The Emperor still has slight suicidal tendencies, so, we request his plate at the feast not include a knife or other sharp objects, or that he not be put around any pills and such.

Sorry I cannot attend the wedding personally, however, Foxtecha President David Macker and his family can attend. They are the richest, most powerful, and most respected family in Vuhifell. Seeing as security will be provided, we see no reason to allow the Elite Black Guard into your country.

The Ascendancy will accept, depending upon the terrible situation unfolding within our space. This event would be far more kind to attend than what we are enduring.

We hope we will be able to attend once the situatiion is resolved.

We hope your trials are far kinder than what we are faced with.

Although a war which is being waged off the coast of my country and seperate issues which threaten to destabalize it are popping up left and right I am happy to announce that I, Emperor Jonach I, and my beautiful wife, Hypolita, have decided to attend the marriage ceremonies. Basque Spain will be sending one delagate to the wedding. The Basques are sorry that we cannot send more in light of the current conflicts that the Basque poeple must deal with, one on the home front and one in Hataria but we will not let this stop us from coming. We will be sending the Basque Senator Bill Bantu. We cannot send a escort for the planes to get out of Basqu Spain but we are sending a squadron of a Boeing 727 (The Basque Diplomatic Aircraft) allong with a Boeing 747 filled with the finest in Basque wines. We request that the home nation meet the delagate at the airstrip with a security detail (I don't trust Coreys Land) and send a small squadron of fighters (We cannot afford to send our own on account that we need to keep up on the continuous attacks on CL's fleet.) to gaurd the Basque fleet while in the air.

We send our congratulations and a delegation will be sent including the son of our leader.
