Marco Hano banged his binder on the table as the SNU delagates erupted in murmurs and rumor-exchanging. "QUIET!" he yelled at them.

The delagates became silent at once. The emergency meeting was brought on by the declaration of war upon the SNU. The Coreys Landic (That is what Im going to call it unless you have a special name for it) navy was on a straight path toward the SNU leader nation Basque Spain. The SNU was ill organized at the time and was not suspecting a war on account of the peaceful nature of the treaty.

"We have to stay together in this hard time of bloodshed, not only does the SNU alliance need us to unite but the people of our nation's need us to unite. We mustn't let the CL take the freedom of religion away from our people. Without it we all will be nothing more than a shard of our respective cultures."

The delagates continued to give Hano their attention as he informed them, "The many of the IADF has agreed to assist the defense of Basque Spain. If we stop the CL army from taking Bilboa (The Basque capital for those of you who don't know) then we can take the battle back to Coreys Land and we will there have a chance to liberate a country from the burden of state-imposed religion!"

"But the SNU is a peaceful organization. How does this go with the ideas of the union?" The Naabodian delagate asked.

"All is fair in two things love, which we have for freedom, and war, which we are involved in right now"

In an unannounced deployment [THAT MEANS SECRET], Novikovian and Czechzenian Troops have been comitted to defend our IADF ally of Bosque Spain. Force deployed were pulled from deployment to the Second Empire (The Macabees), as well as from the Novikovian homeland.

The presence of Novikovian troops is still unofficial, those ships of the 2nd Composit army's Transport Fleet moving ot Spanish harbors to "refit" before continuing on to Poldi'sk. Numbers are still largely unknown, but estimates claim the presence of some 40,000 soldiers and countless supply personel.

Officially, however, Novikov has announced a de-facto state of war with Corey's Land, and has pledged the support of a large portion of Novikov's naval assets, including the 4th and 6th Hunting Groups and a Carrier Group. Czechzen Officials have followed suit, confirming the deployment of the 3rd Submarine Fleet to the Bay of Biscay. Again, official deployment numbers are unavailable, but an estimated forty warships are now said to be in Spanish waters.

Following the announcement of troops supporting Basque Spain, Novikov issued the following warning to Corey's Land:

If Nuclear, Biological, or Chemical weapons are used in the conflict against Basque Spain and other IADF and SNU nations, Novikovian NBC Regiments will be forced to respond in turn, authorizing an unrestricted conventional and non-conventional campaign against Corey's Land civillians. Your action will determine the consiquences reaped by your government and people. This is your only warning.

Today, 50,000 mobilized troops will be arriving in allied nation of Basque Spain, 60% of troops will be fortifying the major cities, i.e. Bilboa, and other have set up forts and military checkpoints within the nation and region. Along with the troops came many assorted militant vehicles. Mostly LAV's.

A half-dozen Nu-38 Aeromancers roared overhead in an arrowhead formation, the somewhat geometrically odd Juumanistran star emblazoned upon their wings and tails. A few minutes later, a similar Ne-41 Reaver formation followed and, a few more minutes after that, another formation of Nu-38s.

This little photo op of the First Basque Defense Air Corps was exactly what President Winston Warner yearned for. He hoped that the well publicized deployment of significant Juumanistran assets – three hundred combat air craft and the JDS Natan Sharansky and its battlegroup – would be enough to deter Corey’s Land from continued aggression. And, should it come to pass that it did not, there were more than enough aircraft in theatre to gain aerial supremacy.

At a small airfield nestled well within the Pyrenees, a SoEW-24 gently touched down after flying in from the JDS Natan Sharansky. The SoEW-24 was but the latest piece of equipment to arrive for the 914th Special Warfare Brigade. The fact that an entire Special Warfare brigade, Juumanistran parlance for electronic warfare and other dirty tricks, had been downplayed to the point of not even acknowledging that the 914th was deployed unless asked directly about it and, even then, the default answer was “only token elements” were abroad.

So far, no one had seemed to notice. Or even care enough to notice.

Beneath the waves of the Bay of Biscay, Captain Harding smiled. He had caught some of the newsfeeds surrounding the deployment of Juumanistran assets to Basque Spain; in-particular, the deployment of the Sharansky seemed to be a favorite talking point among punditocracy. Thankfully, though, his deployment was not.

The Miho Shirayuki spearheaded the entry of the 23rd and 24th Raider Squadrons into the Bay; the two dozen attack subs constituted a much more powerful deployment than that of the Sharansky. Corey’s Land knew the carrier and its formation were in the Bay and could, in all likelihood, find it without much difficulty. Neither was the case with the Miho and her sisters.

All that could be done now was drill, watch, and wait.

There has been speculation that Corey's Land has been affiliated with or was acting under the endorsement of the Moral Alliance. Such speculation is false. This nation acted independently, for reasons known only to the SNU and Corey's Land, and has neither consulted nor consorted with any member of the Moral Alliance before taking the hostile actions leading to this war.

There will be no time for me to answer questions, unfortunately, for I have affairs to attend to. However, copies of this announcement shall be given out to you by the custodians upon your request. I now yield to the Emperor, Maximus IV.

Maximus IV: I'm just going to briefly address our military awareness concerning this situation. While we are declaring neutrality, frankly, this conflict was unexpected and honestly, I'm worried that it may spill over into our lands. To dampen any attack against us, we are upgrading the defense condition from Code 1, to Code 2, for the duration of this war.
100 additional militiamen will be activated for each of the 5 trade ports, including Port Jenova at the Isle of Jenova, ports Brisbane, Dasmir and Plymoth at the Altogether, and Port Jude at St. Paul City. 250 additional militiamen will patrol the cities of the Altogether and 500 militiamen will be patrolling the Isle of Jenova. All forts and naval stations will be operating on 24-hour shifts, and classified defense mechanisms have been activated.

Again, let me clarify that we are only taking preventive measures. This is not to be considered a preparation for war, and we will relax our defense conditions when we are assured that the conflict between Corey's Land and the SNU shall bear no threat to us.

Archbishop Pernicus shall address any questions you may have concerning our heightened state of alert. For now however, I must conclude my time.

I, the King of Acridia have decided that it would be prudent that Acridia follows Sidestreamer's lead. Therefore, effective immediately, I am putting Acridia's militiary on Green Alert in case a threat to Acridia or the Moral Allaince develops. The Holy Empire of Shazbotdom will send the 7th Havoc Naval Group. They are a Medical Subgroup mainly used for the treatment of wounded on battlegrounds. They are there for either side to use for the treatment of their wounded. We will keep the people seperate from each other. Most likely even on seperate ships. We can treat hundreds of thousands of injured if you wish. This Havoc Naval Group will also set up M.A.S.H. units on the ground in strategic locations for the immediate treatment, and evacuation, of wounded troops.

All you need is to give us the go and we will deploy them.

Three FAS-10B's flew in formation towards their home base, the Regiylas. Rather than land for refueling, however, they simply buzz the tower at sub-sonic speeds.

Commodore Trawler was an experienced naval aviator, a sailor who'd been around the block a few times. Which was why, while the captain of the ship was swearing over hot coffee all over his working blues, The Commodore was smiling faintly with his lidded cup. He shook his head slowly, and turned back to his advisors. "As I was saying, gentleman, I don't want to be caught by surprise here. I want those AWACS birds up 24 hours a day, and to hell with how effective our friends on the Zeus's say they are." A collective group of nods allowed him to move on.

"Now, we're getting closer to the area of engagement, the Bay of Biscay." The Commodore pointed out, indicating a spot on the map in front of him. "Since I don't want to have to hunt friendly submarines and shoot down blue cruise missiles, I want Basque Spain's commanders in the area notified of our movements in advance. Encrypted SATCOM only, gentleman!" Again, the collective nods.

"And finally, as soon as we spot the enemy force, I want the plans we have for their neutralization to move forward as quickly as possible. Speed is armor, gentleman. Intel has it that it's going to be a large fleet. Enemy broadcast say it's forty thousand ships," The numbers met with a brief amount of chuckling by the commodore and his staff. Forty thousand ships? Even members of a democracy like Triancia new that the Government had to at least lie convincingly. "But, I don't think we'll see quite that many." Trawler continued a smile still on his face. "Regardless, we kill the support ships first, then anything that could threaten our air superiority in the theater. I've got a lot of Earl VIs looking for targets, and I want to give them something as soon as possible."

The Commodore stood up. "Alright, That's it. Dismissed!" His staff moved around him, carrying out their orders of the day. The Commodore's own itinerary was tight, but there was just enough time to head over to the coffee wet captain. "I'll assure you, Captain, once we get some targets for these flyboys, those incidents will stop. And that was, what, only the third time this week?" A quick smile to the annoyed CO, and the Commodore moved on.

According to popular Moral Allaince concensius, Acridia has decided to send aid supplies and medical teams to both Coreyland and the SNU. However, they are on standby to leave in case Coreyland's actions were simply a bluff...as it currently the case it seems.

The Dubocratic Union, being the first nation to join the SNU, pledges full support for our side in the form of troops. I am also sending a fine liason officer to Bilboa, with your permission, to coordinate efforts. His name is Lt. Klaus Germain. I'll have his qualifications and authorizations sent via encrypted e-mail.

We hope that this war, with such overwhelming presence on our side, will come quickly to an end.

Although, I add that there is something in me, being Jewish, wanting to crush the evil Coreys Land under heel. But that is not in the spirit of peace and tolerance.

Under Act 3 of the Dubocratic Parliament, Theodore Jefferson, as leader of the Democratic revolution, was permitted to keep his title and position of 5-star general of the armed forces while also being Prime Minister. He was a beloved servant of the people which he proved time and time again. In the revolution he had made his name as a master tactician, and more amicably as a crack shot. Now he would attempt to prove himself once again.

Under Executive Order 9 and Military Order 12, the government contracted huge ammounts of industrial construction for the sake of the military. After the abrupt war with the Merchant Guilds, the Dubocratic Union found itself ill-prepared for large-scale war, and needed to revamp. The strong economy certainly helped, and there was a boom after some recent immigration and population growth. The government purchased food and war supplies en masse from the private sectors and began large scale construction of simple designs. Many of these simple designs were drawn up by Edwin Blake, Karl Sexton, and Boris Rostovsky, affectionately known as the brain trio. The Three came up with many cheap and effective work arounds to technological problems such as making jet computers more aware through a newly developed heuristics software. They also increased productivity by further breaking up the assembly line into different segments of production, with tighter welding so that hulls were stronger. They also drew up all new designs that drew on warfare experience with the priority of simplicity. And since the factories were not used to creating arms, it didn't matter for any sake of continuity.

One million men, fresh from a very strict training, were ready to leave for the shores of Basque Spain, although only a half million would leave. The rest would stay behind for production and logistics.

They were being deployed before his eyes.

20 men walked dow the runway near the shore of the Bay of Biscay (OOC: If you haven't figured it out yet what my geography is then go look at an oline map of spain's Basque Provinces this is what i base my entire geography on) as the waves crashed onto the rocks. The 10 F-15s had been pulled out and the mechanics were tuning them, loading them and fueling them. "Don't you think that we are gonna get some resistance from the other ships, I mean the flagship holds their Admiral and probably the reast of the brass."

"Well, that is why we are throwing a ton of our ships the IADF ships and the coalition ships at them. We have probably fifeteen Basque ships, along with the 100 IADF ships in the mission, and then we also got some other countries bring a ton of other ships. We even can pinpoint their location thanks to members spy sattilites. We got a good shot at pulling this off," said the mission leader Vat Borton.

"I don't know Vat, you just don't go take out someone's flagship without consequenses," replied Jorge Canton.

"You guys gotta get going!" Yelled a mechanic, "The planes are ready."

The 20 men stepped into their planes and jet by jet they flew out to sea.

Sorry - it took me forever to find and read this thread. It appears its 15 to 1 in your favor B.S. - i request that you give me time for now on to respond to each post or else ill never be able to reply. Also - id like a map of B.S. and where your allies have set up there defenses.

Its a large fleet of 68 ships in total - 16 subs , 25 Air Craft Carriers , 25 Destroyers , 2 Flagships

Rather, I will simply say that we have known fortifications around many major cities, as well as the fact that my men are in reserve (but you can't act on that information, since I am not officially inside B.S.) Anyway, thanks for sticking this one out.]

The storm so instrumental in bringing the Corey's Landish Fleets into shore played a similar game with the submerged Novikovian Hunting Groups. One sub, NPS-39, found itself particularly deep in the enemy defenses as the weather cleared.

NPS-39 had been nearly drifting, simply using her creeping engine to patrol the Biscay Coast. The storm had carried her south and east, into a blinding array of sonar contacts. The weather was still rough, but the contacts were holding steady, the three confirmed ones all presumed to be hostile destroyers; there were no friendlies in the area.

The Captain of NPS-39, a young Kaptain-Vtorogo-Ranga Mikhalovich consulted his training. In such a situation, contact with the rest of his group was impossible. He could not bring the wolf pack down on this concentration of contacts. Rather, he would have to make his approach alone.

He ordered the main Electrics brought to two-thirds power and started towards the enemy fleet, depth 180 meters, making careful note of the escorts around his vessel. Training controlled his approach as he set up for a solution on one destroyer, and his training was good. Likewise was his crew, executing his commands flawlessly, maintaining good contacts and bearings, working quickly and efficiently. He was impressed, and with good reason. Half an hour of maneuvering brought him into position, bearing in on a lingering escort. He was ready to take his shot…

The subsiding storm had brought a renewed air patrol from Novikov’s 1st Light Carrier Group. The Ul’yanovsk-Class carrier was now running an active patrol, two of it’s fourteen MiG-23Ks aloft at all times.

This group was far to the north of Mikhalovich’s contacts, between the enemy’s position and the sea. Yet they did not know that. They were still acting under the belief that the enemy was not yet in striking range of the mainland, the enemy fleet having passed them by during the storms in the week before. That was all about to change…

“Comm deck to bridge! Urgent message!”

“Come in. State message.”

“Relaying from the Pasha 003 Satellite. NPS-33 reporting hostile contacts 200 kilometers south by east. Requesting all available naval assets to engage!”

“Very good. Exec, get the Admiral up here.”

Within minutes, flights were being vectored south on reconnaissance, through a still troubled sky. A two-MiG flight, this one of the more capable MiG-29Ks, had been ordered south, bearing on the last reported contact positions. The information was likewise relayed to ground forces and, within a few hours, the Admiral knew, the combined Novikovian forces would be able to pounce. Already, his MiGs were inbound.

All of these actions were carefully reported and plotted in fleet command, situated a few kilometers outside the Spanish capital. From this view, unknown even to the individual ship and group commanders, a horde of vessels, including some fourteen submarines and two separate flights of aircraft, was being vectored in on the reported enemy positions. It seemed the noose would draw tight, or so fleet tacticians hoped.

OOC: Nebari Prime, please do not godmode. I'll let Corey's Land slide because he's outnumbered, but seriously, you're not even a month old. There is no way you can have all that. The only way my military (I'm far larger than you) survives with a similar deployable force is via a massive military budget provided by allies. Your claim to those units is nothing but BS.

Also, would everyone TG me stats as to any custom-made units you use (CL particularly. I need to know the type of carrier, destroyer, battleship, and submarine you're using.)

The Fu-46 Starlight on station over the southeastern Bay of Biscay had just entered its sixth our of flight which, like the previous half-dozen flights it had made since beginning operations in Basque Spain, was turning out to be a gigantic waste of time; some of its crew doubted whether Corey’s Land would even bother invading, what with the number of forces aligned against him in the region. The boredom had gotten so endemic among the crew that the massive storm system rolling into the Pyrenees was the subject of bets over where it would make landfall. And it was because of the fixation on the storm, and its aftermath, that allowed most of the crew to witness multiple contacts emerging from its shadow.

“Contact, contact!”

One blip emerged from the storm’s shadow. And then another. And then another. Until there were ten, all told.

“Vector confirmed; Basque landfall in five minutes!”

The computer said the contacts’ signatures matched early model F-18s. That meant the war had come; the only forces out that way were Novikovan and they were flying Soviet surplus(a topic which had sparked other bets, on other flights).

“In-bound hostiles! Repeat...”

That rang out across Juumanistra’s communications network, which was in turn piped out to the rest of the IADF forces that were in theatre and willing to listen. As vectors and speeds began to trickle in the AWACS unit that had spotted the incoming hostile forces, it also meant that the Juumanistran response was coming, as well.

That response was the whole of the 1174th Pursuit Wing, which was the unit tasked with interception for the day. Two of its squadrons were already airborne and would soon be approaching and engaging the in-bound contacts; given what they were being fed, they had both numerical and technological edges. And, soon enough, they’d be joined by Wing’s remaining squadron that was on the ground as well as the forces being scrambled to reinforce the 1174th.

The games were about to begin.

CL, I'm more than a little confused by what, exactly, you're launching. Given that the only stuff you actually documented was ten F-18s, that's what I based my post off of.

There's twenty-four Nu-38s vectored in on those ten F-18s, with another twenty-four scarmbling, as well at twelve Ne-41s, for a combined intercept force of sixty combat aircraft.

Tom: "How far are we from the attacking fleet. Shouldn't we worry about them finding and attacking us?"

The 10 F-15's moved through the air high above the bay. About a half a mile in front of them was the 15 Basque destroyers and 10 loaned destroyers from the IADF, the piolits could see the that soon the deystroyers would be engaged with the nearby CL fleet. The planes took a dive in perfect unison as they prepared to slow down to give the deystryers time to soften up the CL fleet.

It was an annoying situation, though. Here Spectre was, somewhere near Basque Spain, and nowhere near the rest of the damned wolfpack. An ambush would be impossible now. Hell, they'd be lucky to get a fix on their own location-

"Sir!" a Petty Officer exclaimed, the one manning the Sonar station. "I've got faint engine noises up top. Their garbled, sounds like their close to shore..." The sonarman paused, "But I'm sure that their some of the enemies ships!"

"Up scope!" The captain moved toward the rising cylinder, intent on getting a good view of whatever his sonar crew was picking up. The view out of the imaging device had him pausing himself, to catch his breath. An enemy force, staging, or about to stage, a landing! It was right there! God Bless that fucking storm!

The captain quickly turned toward his comm officer. "ULF signal to the nearest friendly sat. We've got the enemy here, and we're going to need some back-up." He turned his head back to the periscope. "We can't wait, though. I want shooting solutions on the nearest loaded transport. And kept it quiet, for God's sake! I'll not be this close and get an ASROC to the sail!"

'Capacitor blowout on ETC gun, Tank 20. Will be repaired.'
'SA-33's on Tank's 31-38 inoperable. Will be replaced.'
'Targeting computer on Tank 18 off-alignment. Will fix.'

Those reports were somewhat disheartening, but not as much as he got from the commander of this little Merchant Marine Fleet he found himself in.

'Can not arrive at port any sooner than 12 hours.'

The Colonel sighed. He knew how wars worked. An enemy landing by sea would attempt to take the nearest ports available, to increase the amount of troops they could put on the ground, and to deny their use to friendly forces looking to land.

With a grimace, Richard uttered a slight prayer, simply asking the Powers Above to keep a port open. Because his men made good tankers, but they made terrible Marines.

It would also be apparent that Triancian satellites are checking beach areas for fortifications, and forces. Cruise missiles leap from the rails of a few Newhaven classes, hurtling toward the coast low and super-sonic. A Combat Air Patrol is out in force around the Fleets, Triancian FAS-12C's, their version of the Harrier II, patrolling for enemy aircraft.

Do Triancian Forces really look to take the fight to the enemy?

The enemy's main fleet sat in front of Trawler, looking ominous, big, and hard to kill. And these were just ROSAT pictures. The Commodore knew, however, that mightier fleets had fallen to smaller forces. Especially when those forces knew exactly where to strike.

He weighed his options. Should he wait for the wolfpack around him to organize, and strike en mass, or strike now, and hope that the subs would get their on the double time, ready to assist?

Action beat inaction, in the end. FST-10B's (F-15E's, navalized), 36 total, 9 from each carrier. Half loaded to the hilt with Exocet missiles and AIM-132's for defense, and half in an FAS configuration with AMRAMMs, they're launched off the cats, keeping low, and heading for the enemy fleet. MBS-4's (E-2C's), 4 total, one from each carrier, followed suit. It wouldn't be good to have the Task Force's Alpha Strike surprised on the way, would it?

It also wouldn't be good for the aircraft to run into any AAA or SAM's on the way. Which was why the four Arsenal ships accompanying launched 16 TASM's each, the missiles divided evenly against the air defenses the Coreys Land Fleet had in it's hand.

In preporation for the invsion of the coast Basque Spain will temporarily move the capital of the country back to the old facilities of governing in Vitoria. In the city of Christiandom, capital of Jagada, stood in the parade ground one divison of the Armed Forces. Lined along the streets, nearly twenty yards away from the troops, where civilians. At the center of the parade ground was a great fortress known as Jagada's Keep. Inside the courtyard of the keep we a large statue of Lord Jagada holding a bible and a cross.

[OOC: I'm acting as such because there was no action taken by Corey's Land over these past three days against my reasonably documented submarine infiltration.]

NPS-39 finished maneuvering below the waves nearly an hour after the destroyer contact was reported. From the periscope, the captain watched the slowly closing shape of a destroyer, identified as hostile. Little did she know, the destroyer was now well within firing range of her unseen stalker and several solutions against her had been plotted.

“Flood tubes one through three.”

The order brought immediate action. A quiet groan and the hull door were open, the tubes pumped full of seawater. Within twenty seconds, a torpedo-man relayed the information.

“Tubes flooded.”

“Fire one and two on my mark. Helm, prep for immediate evasion.”

The orders were again confirmed. A hushed silence then fell over the crew, waiting the captain’s command.

“MARK!”

The order was briefly followed by a shudder as the tube released its weapon, a YJ-8 Cruise Missile, now inbound towards the sleek destroyer several kilometers downrange.

“MARK!”

Above, the two cruise missiles broke the surface of the choppy water, inbound rapidly on the destroyer. Someone onboard that ship must have spotted the rockets as they moved towards their target; the destroyer rapidly began to accelerate. The missiles were lost within the frothing surf and, in his haste to escape, the captain dropped scope even before an impact could be observed.

The sonar, however, reported the impact with stunning clarity. First one explosion, then another, rocked the turning boat, both followed by the sound of ballasts bursting, presumably as the ship sank below the waves. The captain recorded the even in his log only briefly:

“Destroyer engaged, presumed sunk. 6000 tonnes estimated.”

Elsewhere in the Bay of Biscay, the scene was repeated several times. A total of eight Sabres and six Kilos had closed rapidly on the Corey’s Landish naval forces, with much success. Reports had not yet arrived, but it was estimated that two-thirds of the enemy’s escorts would be lying at the bottom of the ocean by the time of sunrise tomorrow.

It had originally been intended that the 2nd Composite Army stand as a reserve formation, supporting Spanish troops as they fought to defend their homeland. However, the alarming penetration by Corey’s Landish forces near the Spanish capital required an immediate remedy. The 2nd was moving into battle.

The first units to move into the still contested southern portion of the city were elements of the 29th (Infantry) Division. Laden only with what supplies they could carry into the city, they were not prepared for an extended stay. Yet they took up their duty to the IADF just as much as to their mother country. They would fight and die for this city, for its inhabitants who babbled in some strange tongue, just as they would for their own homes.

The 29th, along with the reconnaissance element of the 46th (Armored) Division and the 27th (Infantry)’s Artillery support, would, according to plan, form the main defensive line along the southern half of Bilboa. Attempts would be made to contain combat to the city while a counterattack was prepared, presumably using the 50th (Armored) Division for rupture once the main enemy attack was contained. Whether this was possible was a different question, but on paper, all seemed well within control.

In the air, massive air strikes were ordered, using the entire resources of the 4th Strike Wing (63 Mirage F1, 42 Mirage III) and the bomber contingent of the 2nd Light Bomber Wing (25 Tu-22Bs). Attacks centered along the enemy’s presumed main axis of attack, through Bilboa and into the surrounding beachhead. Losses had been severe, nearly twenty aircraft claimed by SAMs in the first day alone, but enemy losses were equally bad, amounting to an estimated 100 hostile tanks and a similar number of APCs.

I was thinking that i would kind of act like Ike in D-Day and I would tell you where to go but you would command the forces in the feild and that i would tell you the grand strategy and you would work out of that. (this is the plan for all of the nations with large deployment

With the declaration of peace talks, Triancia Forces back down a bit. After all, you don't want to incite a war if you don't have to.

However, not using the time to their advantage would make the Triancians fools, and they are /not/ fools.

The wolfpack around the Bay of Biscay meet each other, and begin to form a defensive permieter around the bay, tracking and vessals already in the Bay itself, or attempting entry. The enemy is probably drawing up ASW firing soultions, as well. In the end, it will all matter as to who gets the news of the resumation of hostilites first.

The two-carrier Task Force manuevers as well, putting itself in a position just outside the Bay, to both strike at the invaders, and shut down any reinforcements coming. They'll be busy drawing up strikes for the duration of this possible brief peace.

The RTMC continues what they'd been doing all along: inching ever so slowly to the Coreys Land coast. Any intellgience division worth its salt would have noticed the retasking of radar sats to check up on beach gradients in half-a-dozen possible invasion zones. The Marines themselves havn't made it into Coreys Land waters, but they should cross that line in two days time, given present pace.

The 8th ACR is, most undoubtably, the happiest unit of Triancia at this point. They've just spotted their object: The Basque Spanish coastline, and the city they are to deploy from. Unlike their Marine counterparts half a world away, all ships in the Army convoy are engaged at flank speed. They would need to reach the port and unload before this peace could be called off. Otherwise, the waters would be a dangerous place to be.

The Grand Duchy of Biggleses is a secular nation, indeed our people have chosen Atheism as the state religion. The Home Office and Ministry of Defence have announced the beginning of civil defence drills in Australus, beginning next Monday.

Since yesterday, Australus Defence Force aerial squadrons have been scrambled to conduct drills over the Gulf of Australus and missile defences have been put on low-level stand-by.

The Home Office asks that the general population continue to go about business as usual, but to remain vigilant and aware.

These military drills and adviseries, according to a spokesman for the Defence Ministry, are merely precautionary given Australus's alliance with the SNU.

The Australus Constitution forbids preemptive deployments of its limited military forces "for anything other than domestic defence purposes in the event of an incursion of Australus's sovereign borders."

The situation with Whittier- is, for the moment, diffused since CL has surrendered, so do not concern yourself with them.

As for B.S., the Holy Empire will retain 5,000 of the total forces in Basque Spain and C.L. as needed for peacekeeping operations for the duration of 3 months, or until we agree that they are no longer necessary. All carriers shall return to the ports of Sidestreamer.
