IC:
We wish to alert the international community that one of our battleships, lead by Captain Mickey Johnson, has gone AWOL. They have dropped off our tracking system, as well has communication being lost.
Those around Mr. Johnson have said he has been acting strange as of late, and worry that he may now be planning something.
We wish to alert everyone that the ship, an Iowa-Class battleship, is fully armed, and had been modified to accommodate two nuclear torpedo's. There currently is one on the ship.
We ask your help in finding this ship, and taking control of it. Please no not attack it unless they fire upon you first. We prefer the crew be unarmed, the Captain brought in for questioning.
Thank you.

"Jasper, get your fucking ass in here!" the Captain demanded, having already killed three of the men ahead of Jasper, the Lieutenant Commander. Jasper opened the door, clearly worried, shaking uncontrollably with fear.
"Y-y-y-yes Captain?" he stuttered out. "Well, you know what happens to those who don't obey my orders, correct?" Johnson asked, pointed his gun at Jaspers head. Jasper nodded, "Yes sir. What do you... need?" he asked, glancing at the three dead men next to him.
"Prepare the ship for battle. We're going to block the strait. Any ship that does not heed out warning and turn back will be destroyed. Is that clear?" he ordered. "Yes, it is clear." Jasper replied.
As Japser turned to leave, the Captain stopped him, "Oh, and you know what will happen if we fail at destroying the opposition?" Mr. Johnson asked. "You're going to kill me?" he asked in a near mutter. "Hahaha, well, close. In the end you'll be dead. But it will be painful, I assure you of that." he said. "Now, go, prepare the ship."
Jasper turned around, and upon reaching the door, four armed guards shoved him out the door.

Shortly after, the Captain recalled Jasper. As Jasper entered, Mr. Johnson asked, "Well, is the ship ready?" Jasper was suprised he asked so soon, he must know it takes longer than 15 minutes to fully prepare this ship. Nothing had been ready before hand. Nother. "Sir, no, it's not ready. It's only been..." the Captain pointed his gun at the Lt. Commanders head, "I'll ask you again. Is it ready?"
Jasper nearly fainted, but knew he couldn't. "Yes, it will be in a moment. Do not worry your self Captain. We're almost ready." he said. "Good, good. Once it's done, any ship that tries to pass will not be permitted through. We will give them a warning. The only way they will be allowed to pass is by paying us a fee of $500,000 USD. If they refuse, they must be turned away. If they ignore our warning and continue, destroy them. Even if it's a civilian ship. No one, and I mean NO ONE, gets through without paying us that money. Clear?" the Captain ordered in a booming, nearly yelling voice.
"Y-y-yes, yes it is Captain. I'll get right on it. We're wasting valuable time." Jasper said, quickly spinning around and hurrying out to speed up the preparations.
The 3rd Omega Battlegroup, which consisted of one of Cotland's four Omega class trimeran Battleships (purchased from Praetonia) and its assorted escort ships were under way towards their patrol area in the Mediterranian and would need to cross the Gibraltar strait. If they maintained their current course and speed (24 knots), they would be at the strait within twenty hours.
The leader of the battlegroup, Rear Admiral "Big" Joe Howe, sat in his command chair on the bridge of the Omega class battleship ICS "Cole Rotan" and read the latest intelligence reports. One of them stood out. 'A rouge battleship with a nuclear torpedo? My God.' The admiral got out of his seat and paced for a little while before walking over to the RADAR/LIDAR scope and checking the area. Several ships were near the Gibraltar, just as expected. It was nothing to worry about. After all, the rouge captain wasn't crazy enough to take on an entire battlegroup. Or were he?

OOC: Feel free to :) this should be fun...
Well I'll be damned, the Admiral thought. No word from ViZion for all these months, and now they let some friggin' nutcase get hold of a nuclear-armed battleship. He grinned....ViZ didn't screw up much, but when he did, it was a cluster-fuck of momentous proportions.
" Ensign, contact the Emperor. Our old buddy ViZion has popped up, and it's a serious situation. Tell him it may involve significant amounts of radiation..."
"Yessir, Admiral, right away."
_________________________________________________________________
The Palace was abuzz with the news: ViZion was back, and he had a problem.
Alaric Tan'it, Emperor of Xeraph didn't know whether to be amused or furious.
" John, get in here and let's figure this out."
John Strickland, or rather, General Lord John Strickland, Supreme Commander of the Xeraphian Forces, was cleaning his antique Luger, but quickly put it away when he heard the tone of alarm in the Emperor's voice.
" It's that nuke-battleship, right?", he asked.
" Yeah, and the renegade is an unknown. Just went snapioca. And he thinks he can demand a half-million USD from every ship that wants passage thru the Straights."
Strickland paused for a moment, then said " Why not just a full frontal assault. There's not much that a nuke would damage there, if he was to set one off."
"Theyr'e nuclear torpedoes, John", the Emperor said. " They can be programmed to hit anywhere. And, if I'm not mistaken, those are the new torps that can double as a missile."
" Friggin' great," Strickland mumbled. " Now what?"
" I'm going to contact our people in Black Katana, and see what they can come up with."
" Ah, good idea. If they can't get us info, no one can."
The TU-26 "Backfire" Heavy Bomber, piloted by Captain Vasili Hanski of the Kelgradian Air Forces, was the first to encounter the rouge ship. Glancing down, Hanski spotted the massive ship making lazy circles around the mouth of the Straight. Hanski depressed the small red button on the front of his oxygen mask, as radio was the only way to talk to his co-pilot over the roaring engines. "Josef, look at this. 10:00 low. What the hell are they doing?" Josef Starvick, his co-piolt, raised his binoculars. "Beats me. Radio it back to base." Hanski nodded. "Doghouse, this is Black Lab, do you read, over?" "Roger, Black Lab, this is Doghouse. We read loud and clear. Over." "Umm, base, we are about 3 hours out from Waypoint Foxtrot, and we have a huge ship down in the bay, looks to be battle-ready, but is making some weird manuvers. Contact them, see if we can be of assistance, alright? Over." The tech back in Kelgrad locked into a satilite and broke through into the ship's radio. "Attention, unknown ship. You were spotted by a recon flight nearby who has expressed concern as to your situation. Do you need assistance? Respond on transponder 3, 1067.93. Over."
When Senior Admiral Koss was breifed about the rogue battleship he was slightly worried. "A rogue battleship with a nuclear torpedo? Were in some deep shit now." He thought to himself as he boarded the flagship of the small fleet. The NNS LiveWire, a Splinter-Class Battleship, the flagship of the 13th Fleet was being sent to the parimeter of the Gribalter Straight. The 13th Fleet consisted of
NNS LiveWire, a Splinter-Class Battleship (Slightly larger than a Yamaho)
2 Imperium-Class Battleships (Slightly larger than Iowas)
1 Arkayne-Class Escort Carrier
1 Vixan-Class CGN
1 Ticonderoga-Class CG
2 Linccess-Class DDG
3 Meszeran-Class DD
8 Gonear-Class FF
As they departed the docks, off the coast of the 3rd largest Navy Base of Nycton, in the island chain of Nyctania he gave the order to start open communications with Cotland.
"We must start planning."
The Black Katanas

" M'lord, the Emperor requires our assistance."
Ghenghiz, Lord of The Republic of The Black Katanas, glanced up at the messenger. " The renegade battle-ship, right?"
" Yes, M'Lord. Alaric wants to know more."
Of course he does, Ghenghiz thought. " Alright, get the squads currently on duty, and have them meet me at 1735 hours, ready to go."
" Go where, M'Lord?"
" Why, to Spain....where else can you go to save the world, and have a good meal afterwards?"

"Captain, we got..." the Captain cut off the young man, "Do not reply. Only if a ship tries to pass do we communicate." he said. "Yes sir."
The ship continued its movements, keeping an eye out on the water for any ships headed their way. At one of the guns, a seaman stood there, acting as if he was shooting at the plane. Just as he aimed infront of it, he slipped, accidentally firing, though far enough infront of the plane at not to hit it. "FUCK!" he said, looking at the plane to see if he had hit it.
The data came in hot and fast, seems Vizion couldn't hold onto its own Battleships. Immediatly Admiral Kamov, busy with his Black Fleet, he had uttered a few simple words into the telephone reciever. "Send the Grey Storm." and that was the end of it.
-----
Already patroling the Atlantic, the Grey Storm was a merchant raider that packed the punch of a battleship. However, she would be used due to the fact she carried a platoon of SARTF soldiers, and two V-84T VTOL transports. The vessel made good speed at 35kts towards Spain, while an EB-15 AWACs took off from deep in Artitsa. She would be ready to provide situational awareness for the ship, and first detection, therefor surprise.
Surprise came in another fact that she looked like a Merchant Vessel from a distance... until you saw the 14" ETC cannons.
The Planning and Strategy Room was a murky, smoky miasma of stale cigarettes and sweat. You could cut the apprehension with a knife.
" OK, gentlemen, the situation is as follows. We have a renegade captain, name unknown, who flipped out, reason unknown, and is attempting to collect $500,000 USD from every ship that crosses his path, reason unknown.
The battleship is armed with two nuclear torpedoes, and he says he's going to use them if anyone tries to run by him."
" This info is accurate?" asked a colonel of the Kingdom of Auralinia.
" Yes, little as it is", answered Alaric of Xeraph. The Black Katanas paid a high price for that info. Two squads of 12 men each went aboard....eight didn't make it back, and Ghenghiz was severely wounded."
" So, what's the plan, Alaric?" It wasn't unusual in Xeraph to hear the Emperor called by his first name, as he had insisted that every citizen of Xeraph were an equal to the highest heads of government. One day, a street-sweeper took him up on it, and he'd been 'Alaric' to all of Xeraph ever since.
Alaric glanced at the staff-seargent who asked the question, and grinned. " Well, Sam, it appears that we have a stand-off on our hands. We can go in with guns blazing, and kill off about 75,000 Gibraltan citizens, or we can.......negotiate."
Several people stiffened at the "N" word. They all knew Alaric hated to negotiate. "Get it over with...right or wrong," was what they were always told to do.
"Er, uh, Alaric, this is a bit different. Those torps can be in any populated city in minutes if we push his buttons."
" True, and we're not in this alone. We need to restrain ourselves and ask the other nations' involved to join us in making a decision. Although I don't really see any alternative at this point."
" Destroy it?"
He looked at the seargent. " Yes, seargent............it appears that that's what we're gonna have to do. May God have mercy on all those souls......"

"Well, Captain. Looks like no ships wish to pass yet. No ships are coming our way yet." said Jasper, giving the Captain a thirty-minute update. "Looks like we can relax for a while." he said.
The Captain looked displeased, and once Jasper suggestion relaxing, his face turned stonefaced. "Relax? Re-fucking-lax?!" the Captain yelled. He pulled out his gun and fired four shots towards Jasper, the first one nicking his leg. "What the fuck was that for?!?!" Jaspered screamed in fright and pain. "That, Jasper, is what happens when you relax... Now get back to work." the Captain ordered. Jasper was quickly picked up by a guard and once again, shoved out the door.
"Relax..." the Captain muttered under his voice, "What was he thinking? Next time, we'll have another body to get rid of."
Yellow tracers zipped in front of the Backfire, far enough not to do any damage, but close enough to panic the pilots. "Oh fuck! Pull up, pull up!," Hanski screamed. "Doghouse, this is Black Lab, the unidentified ship has fired on us! Do you read?" The base technitian's voice came through his head set. "Roger, Black Lab, you have permission to engage. We reccomend guns, command wants this ship intact, if possible. Apparently it may bave a nuke on board. Do you read?" "Roger, base, going in with guns. Guns armed. Begining our run now."
ooc: Yeah, I want this to go on as long as it can. hanski and whats-his-name are toast, but I might try to send on some special ops guys later.
The 3rd Omega Battlegroup recieved new orders and increased their speed to 32 knots before changing course for Island. Something was brewing up there and the battlegroup was needed.
ooc: You don't want the ship destroyed. Then you don't need my 20" guns.. sorry.

Seeing the bomber go into evasive manuvers directly after hearing shots fired, the Captain knew it was time to show off some firepower. He hit the alarm, and over the intercom, ordered, "Battlestations! Battlestations! Incoming bomber! Destroy it!"
The gunner who fired the first shot jumped up, and got back to the gun. Within seconds, six deck guns were blazing into the sky, while two missile launchers were being loaded with sea-to-air missiles. (OOC: As noted in my Big Book O' Facts, link in my signature, all our ships are armed to fight aircraft...)

Canadian Senior Intelligence Analyst, Zachary Bowers looked over the incriminating documents of a ViZionarian Naval Captain gone rogue, he drew several notes down on paper so he can be debriefed by President John Maybury.
Zachary Bowers was an intimidating man, he served as an Intelligence Officer for the Canadian Forces before his recruitment into the CNIA as a Field Operative. He was a big guy, clean-shaven and a bald head and given a light tan by the ViZionarian sun.
Senior Agent Bowers was incharge of the Canadian Intelligence Mission based in ViZion and headed the operation jointly with the Director of ViZion Intelligence (VZ). He stood to his feet as he put his files into the briefcase and headed for the transport helicopter waiting for him to bring him to the Presidential Building.

The sky above the ship was instantly awash with machine-gun fire. The Backfire was a sturdy craft, but it wasn't invincible. The machine guns under the wings opened up, ripping apart the few men caught in their path on the forward deck. As the Backfire raced toward the ship, several slugs penetrated the forward armor and ripped through Hanski, killing him instantly. He slumped forward onto the control stick, locking the jet in a free fall, directly toward the ship. The jet carried two stingray anti-ship missles, still tucked safely inside the bomb-bay, and dormant. Starvick tried to pull up, but the corpse beside him was pinning the controls down. The jet screamed ofther the conning tower of the ship, missing by a few inches, and sent maassive waves washing over the deck as the missles detonated underwater.

*Assuming the flight was made, blah blah blah...*
"Hello Mr. Bowers! How are you today?" Asked Mr. Maybury as Mr. Bowers exited the helicopter. "As you well know, we have a grave situation right now. One of our battleships, who was out on a patrol, began going off course. We continually radio'd them without getting a single reply. Shortly thereafter, the Captain, a certain Mickey Johnson, sent us a message." With that, he gave the paper to Mr. Bowers.
It read:
Today is a God-given glorious day. For I shall forever be known in the history books. Nuclear war to end all wars and to destroy evil will ensue this grand campaign. God be willing!
"After that, we lost communication with them. They also dropped off our trackers and radar screen. They invisible except to the naked eye. We know nothing more but that there is one, possibly two, nuclear torpedo's, and the ship is filled to the brim in ammunition." he finished. "That is all we know."

I was just going to say that some guys were killed and there were some deck fires, not that the ship was taken out or anything. Sorry.
Senior Agent Bower walked beside President Maybury, "Can you be a gentleman and hold my briefcase while I go over the report thoroughly?"
The President took the briefcase with a firm nod of acceptance. Bower looked over to the President, "What was the latest known coordinates after your naval communications lost contact with the battleship? Because we can assist you with recon sattelites, that way."
The Chancellor was sitting at a heavy oak desk, pouring over recon photos of the ship, when the report came in. "Sir, we just lost Flight 242. They took fire and went down in the ocean. There were no survivors." "Very well. How soon can we get more air cover out there?" The captain looked grim. "Not for atleast 8 hours, sir. Most of the air force is still tied up bombing those troops in Kalinengrad. We can have a flight of our first strike bombers sent out, but that would leave us defensless in the event of a major threat." The Chancellor slammed his fist down, making all of the men in the room jump. "YOU DON'T CONSIDER A MADMAN WITH NUCLEAR CAPBILITIES A THREAT? Scramble the bombers. Have them land at Fort Reed and link up with some MiGs for protection. We are now operating at a state of full war." The captain saluted and left the room. 'My god, what is going on with this world?', Chancellor Sundberg thought bleakly.

"Hit the deck!!!!" screamed one of the gunmen as he dove down. Everyone tried getting away from the area the plane may hit. Seconds later, a massive splash could be heard, followed by an explosion, and water shooting nearly 100 feet into the air, then soaking the deck. "Holy shit that was close!" said one of the other men on the deck. "Ya, no shit." said one of the gunners.

The Deltan Empire
22-03-2005, 08:12
Grans Admiral Togtmam, Supreme Commander of the entire Imperial Deltan Military, arrived on the bridge of his flagship, the nuclear-powered Iowa-class battleship I.D.S. Avenger. "Report", he said. "Sir, we have intercepted a message transmitted by ViZion. They have a rogue battleship armed with a nuclear torpedo on the loose", reported Commander Hawk. "What kind of ship", asked the Admiral. Hawk responded, "an Iowa-class battleship sir. They have no idea where it might be or where it's going." "Relay that message to the Emperor at once!" Togtman ordered. "Then signal all ships, BATTLESTATIONS." Commander Hawk was confused, "all ships, sir? You mean..." "That's what I said, Commander. All ships. The entire Imperial Navy. We must be prepared in case that rogue battleship apears in our waters."
Four vague outlines appear on the horizon. The Javean merchantman Mediocrity and her escort of a Yuri class destroyer and two Kora class corvettes are carrying an important scientist known only as "Billy Bob". Within his mind is the only blueprint for a prototype JRW (Javean Robotics Works) processing core, and it is vitally important to the scientific community that he safely reach his destination of Desatra.
Several flashes could be seen on the far horizon...
Bridge of the Belial Destroyer
The moment he caught sight of the Belial Captain Ulong knew he was way out of his league. A man of his naval experience deserved such a position...or so he told himself. Many a fish lost its life in his old trawler's nets back in the day, and really...in peace times, you see more bloodshed on a fishing boat than a warship. A string pulled here and there had gotten him his most recent assignment, and he'd be damned if he let some green punk 20 years his junior command him about.
The task of escorting the Mediocrity was his first assignment as captain, and everyone knew it'd be a cakewalk. Usually merchantmen were given a UFAC or two at the most as escort, so Ulong suspected he was being tested. The crew groaned whenever he wasn't within hearing distance -- they wanted some real action, not this escort bs. Sometimes they didn't seem to care if he overheard or not.
The flashes were unnoticed by most of the crew, but the few who weren't intoxicated or sleeping welcomed the distraction from their mundane lives.
"*cough* ..uh...'Sir'...," the distaste dripping from the ensign's lips, "I do believe that was an explosion on the horizon."
Awaking in a pool of his own drool, Captain Ulong paused for a moment to gain his bearings. "Figures..." he grumbled to himself. He'd been eagerly awaiting some action for the first 79 hours of the voyage, and had only just fallen asleep.
Radar/Comms chimed in. "Sir? For a few seconds there appeared to be some sort of engagement bearing 278 degrees, but nothing's showing up on radar."
Ulong stared blankly out the window. "Carry on." he stated, before unceremoniously plopping his head back into the shiny pool.
*BWOOOMB*
"What was that?!?"
Comm's mate Quinn was in no position to answer; she was currently rolling on the deck in extremes of pain.
"Kelly, Achmed, get her out of here." barked Captain Kerridor. The VSS Frank Burns had been holding position at the bottom, performing routine reconaissance of the channel. It had been quiet - so quiet, the Captain had let his guard lapse.
That mistake wouldn't happen again.
"XO, status?"
Commander Sahab Entravii gave his Captain twelve seconds of silence before answering, his attention far more on a playback - with the muffler turned on.
"Sir, we have multiple small detonations, followed by several larger ones going off above us. ScanSet says torpedoes or missiles detonating. There are several large vessels moving above us... from several directions. Mostly inbound."
"Frack! COMSAT? ELWAS?"
"Too deep for a COMSAT feed, sir. Nothing on ELWAS from IDF."
Kerridor listened to the creeks and groans - mostly imaginary - around him. The Halibut-class vessel was rated for this, but hardly in the best position. And what in frack-hill was going on up there?
A click and a decision were made at the same time.
"Torpedo room, Load Dolphin tube one."
"Aye-aye, sir!"

OOC: Yes, I've set one of my submarines generally under the lunatic with the nuke (near the bottom of the Straits), and I'm about to launch what most will probably see as a torpedo if they see it.... this should be fun. The sub is entirely expendable.

"Captain, we..." one of the young men began to speak as they saw ships appearing on the horizon, as well as radar. "Yes, yes, I know." the Captain said. He swiftly walked over to one of the radios. "I need to communicate with that ship. It's to bright to use the lights right now." the Captain said.
After a moment of figiting with the radio, it was ready. The Captain began to speak.
"Unidentified ships. You are ordered to stop at your present position. You are being ordered to turn around, or pay a fee of $500,000 to pass through, per ship. If you do not obey our ordered, or dare to fire upon us, within a moment of this message, you will be destroyed. Keep in mind, we have a number of nuclear torpedo's on this ship, and if we go down, there will be no strait left, nor will you remain on this planet. You have 60 seconds to choose. Out." The Captain stood there, a sly grin creeping across his face.

***
OOC: Yes, I've set one of my submarines generally under the lunatic with the nuke (near the bottom of the Straits), and I'm about to launch what most will probably see as a torpedo if they see it.... this should be fun. The sub is entirely expendable.
"Sir! Our radar! We're detecting sounds becoming from below!" yelled the young man at one of the radars. "Submarines. Damn them. Alright, time to depth charge. Hurry! Depth charge!" yelled the Captain, once again sound the alarm. Over the intercom, "Depth charge! Depth charge! Submarine below us!" he yelled.
Within two minutes, the splashes began, one after another, after another, 7 seconds apart.
Commodore Tirazov had been in direct communications with the EB-15 Arkbird for sometime now, which had been monitering the Iowa Class Battleship. That paticular class was smaller than any battleship in the Artitsan Navy, but it was still bigger than the Grey Storm.
The 14" ETC guns did outrange the Iowa however, and Tirazov believed they still had the element of surprise. A single V-84A took off from the airpad, and headed out towards the battleship, followed by a V-84T carrying 12 SARTF soldiers. They flew in low and fast, waiting for the Iowa to make the first move.

"Sir..." one of the men said as the Grey Storm came onto radar, "Another ship." he finished. "Good, good, communications..." the Captain said.
Just as communications were ready, "SIR! A plane (helicopter?) incoming! I think they may have come from the ship that just appeared on radar! It's coming from that area!" he said quickly, clearly a little worried.
“Sound the alarm. Let’s start moving towards the ship. Don’t fire upon the plane unless they make the first move. Full speed! Prepare the nuclear torpedo!” the Captain said.
“Now, to my message…” he mumbled, walking back over to the radio.
”Order your plane back. We will attack if you continue your aggressiveness. If you wish to pass through the strait, you must pay a fee of $500,000, or you will not be permitted to pass and are ordered to turn back. We do have nuclear torpedo’s, do not force us to us them.”
The nuclear torpedo was currently being loaded and readied to fire if forced to use.
The ULCC 'Oceanic Adventurer' was on the final leg of an arduos journey, storm after storm had wracked theship damaging its sattelite communications gear

"Neverhal, you are to continue along the planned route to Desatra with the Mediocrity. Captain Mull, I'm placing you in command until either I tell you otherwise or you are relieved at Desatra. OOC: Xeraph, I'm sure it'll end up being destroyed, as well as many other ships, considering there's nuclear weapons on it, but please, don't just destroy it... ;) It'd like to have this turn into a big RP... :)
OOC> don't worry. just setting the stage. we need to have: 1...a consensus among all nations involved, 2...what all of the nations will do individually BEFOREHAND. we need to know so we don't get in each other's way. I think there should be one of the torps destroying a city somewhere, and when the second one is launched, we intercept it before it hits. This is in addition to the gradually escalating attacks on the rogue ship. Or something like that..

In the Special Actions Room (Presidential Residence)
Prime Minister Herbert had been monitoring the situation for several days; and had realized that covert action had to be taken to preserve the relative peace that could be destroyed by the renegade Captain and his antics. "Adm. Horne how long would it take to send a Fast React Force that consited of a Tri Carrier and a special operations detachment to the last known location of the Halo?" Prime Minister Herbert asked. "Well, Sir we could have a group there in two day but the weather is getting bad so I would shoot for four." Adm. Horne stated. 'Very well, activate the Alpha Team and you have my permission to launch Fast Reaction Group 12. That is all dismissed."
Admiral Moranis studied the reports, then studied them again. "We're only going to get one shot at this," he thought. " That renegade captain is seriously unstable, and he will push the button."
" Chief, where exactly is the AWOL ship now?"
" Sir, it's approximately 20 miles due east of the Straits, circling irregularly. There doesn't seem to be much activity on the deck at this time, possibly due to the stranglehold he has on the crew."
"OK, lets put the 163rd CBG just west of the Straits, blockade formation. If he comes at us, we'll have no choice but to engage him. We'll leave him alone otherwise, for now. When and if the Emperor says to hit him, then and only then will we do so."
" Aye, sir, the 163rd is on it's way."
OOC: I hope you don't mind me making my introduction while this is paused, if not just ignore it and I'll post agian later.

We will make every effort to sink the ship with the warheads intact, but our main priority is now to avenge the pilots of flight 242. 3rd Escort Fleet, Convoy Duty, Strait of Gibraltar
A full ten ships, including a Lion Class Cruiser, four Praefele Class Destroyers and five Jupiter Class vessels, was steaming gracefully towadrs the Strait of Gibraltar. This was an odd occurance indeed that the Imperium would choose to escort her convoys so outside of wartime, but the Strait of Gibraltar had long been an unstable area of the world, and it was deemed necessary. Besides, it was a good source of lowish-risk on-duty training for new recruits.
Captain Gregorius Tallarn, commander of this particular fleet, was asleep. It was a hot Mediterranean afternoon, and there was nothing happening here. On the bridge of the lead ship, the cruiser, there a rare burst of activity. The radar arrays of the PWS Puma had just spotted something rather large, although not too large, on radar.
"It matches the radar signature of an Iowa Class Battleship, sir," the young Midshipman informed the Lieutenant he had just called over to his station.
"Hmmm... we shall have to wake the Captain," the man said, sadly. He didn't like waking the Captain. It would mean they'd have to do something.
Ten minutes later the Captain was on deck, adjusting his scruffy uniform.
"What is it, Polus?" he addressed the Lieutenant.
"It appears to be an Iowa Class Battleship, in the middle of the Strait."

The Captain sat back, quite smug that someone finally was smart enough to know a bit more about their ship than that where was something nuclear on their ship and that they were rouge. He was also interested in this proposition. He decided to make a reply.
"Hello Red Tide. About your proposition. As is, we will not accept. However, if you are willing to send a couple of ships to our location and help us cut off the Strait, as well as allowing this ship, Halo, and its crew to become part of your naval forces, with the crew keeping their current positions, on top of the $50 million USD you offer for each torpedo, we will accept. Anything less than that and we will not accept. Thank you." The Captain was quite excited, but was somewhat doubtful that it would not be accepted, as he knew many government would not want the risk of a crew of rouge seamen like them selves in their naval forces. He pulled down a radio from above him and pushed the button with his thumb.
"This is "Senior Admiral Koss of the 13th Fleet of Nycton. We wish you no harm whatsoever. We would like to offer a deal. We would like to come aboard your ship, and try to negotiate a deal with you. Please think about this carefully, there are not drawbacks to this. And really what can you lose in even trying this? This is Senior Admiral Koss, out."

"I guess we can explore and some options. A, we can trry to make radio contact with him and negotiate. B, we could unleash hell probably resulting in some mushroom clouds here and there. C, we pay for his troubles and try to negotiate. I like C. Open radio broadcasts to the battleship"
We will pay you 1,000,000 dollars just for the trouble. That is double the amount your charging for passing of ships through the strait. I don't want you to blow me off while your there either. You must work with me and my aids to try to defuse the situation you have created in this world theater. We must warn you though, there are three battleships under my command that are much bigger than you are, and will not hesitate to fire along with support from the rest of the fleet under my command if you try any funny business while a deal is being struck onboard your vessel. If you end up trying do something to me and firing a nuclear weapon in result of our attack, you do not know the sheer force every man in the Nycton military and government will throw down on you. Please think about this carefully, there are not drawbacks to this. And really what can you lose in even trying this? This is Senior Admiral Koss, out."
He hooked down the radio, and communications were cut.
"Lets see if the fishy takes the bait." They continued to sit afloat with much of the main batteries of all the ships pointed in direction at the AWOL battleship.
"I smell a rotten fish. We wont let them board our ship! Do they think we're CRAZY?!?!" the Captain yelled. "Open communications."
After a moment, the communications were opened. "Admiral Koss. Nice of you to recognize that trying to pass through without paying right off the bad is not a smart idea. However, we will not allow anyone to board our ship. What we will do is board your ship, if you are willing to do this. However, it will be my Lieutenant Commander who goes on board, not my self. As I am sure you realize, a Captain must never leave his crew. He, as well as his guards, will also be armed. Any try to disarm them, or try any funny business, will result in your execution, and an attack upon your ships. That is all. Out."

After that we will scale the edges infiltrate into the substructure and use Quick Tactic 7 to neutralize all enemy units. Then I will call in the 471 and all of us will depart withe awol Captain who will stand trial. It shouldn't take more than three hours."

The destroyer came close to the Battleship and men were piled into LCAC's and it traveled about a 50 yard distance until it reached a small ramp/staircase on the side of the boat. The Captain boarded first, followed by a upward amount of 35 men. Columns of men stood in formation on the deck.
A man smiled and greeted him with a salute.
"Sir, Captain Bernette rendering command of this vessel, and reporting for duty as your active XO, Sir!" He talked clearly and loudly.
"Very well, Captain Bernette. Dismiss this columned men and put them to duty. You are in command of this ship, report to the bridge. Start this vessel halfway the the rogue battleship and come to a complete stop. We will be waiting in the lobby of the super-structure."
The aids of the Senior Admiral and himself walked inside as the crew of the destroyer scrambled to their duties. The Destroyer pulled away from the large Battleship and the rest of the fleet on it's short trip, lazy speed.

"Sir... it appeared a sub just went under... there is, however, a helicopter. I believe they just..." the Captain cut the young man off, "I know what they just did. We need to destroy the helicopter. NOW!"
After only thirty seconds, two sea-to-air missiles were launches, as the anti-air guns began to blaze, all aimed at the helicopter.
The Captain once again sounded the alarm. "Everyone, grab your arms! Prepare to depth charge again!" he ordered. "Sir, their sub... we're only getting updates here and there. I cannot pinpoint exactly where they are, but they're still a bit of a distance from us yet."

Damn... what has the Captain gotten us into? he thought. He knew he couldn't cause any trouble, trying to flee the Captain, as for the 15 guards with him, as the Captain has two remote-controlled bombs on him, and if tried to defuse, it would signal the two bombs to explode. He signalled to Senior Admiral onboard the destroyer that they were ready to board.

The Ministry of Foreign affairs has offered a plan to buy your battleship for a total lump sum of 7.5 billion dollars. The money would go straight into your Captains bank account. "President Maybury... uhh..." Jack took a deep breath and shook his head, "Apparently Captain Mickey Johnson has... uhh... sold the ship. And not just that, the nation of Nycton, making the purchase, has, well... given his immunity to any and all charges." Jack said, bracing himself for a rage from President Maybury.
"Did you just say he SOLD OUR SHIP to them? AND he is immune to charges? You've got to be kidding me." President Maybury said. "Nope..." Jack said, handing him the fax report.
President Maybury read it over, his face growing red. "FUCK!" he yelled. "That ship has been modified. Those nuclear missiles are... top secret! They're testers! This is not good. Get me in contact with them, NOW!" he screamed.
Well, that wasn't as bad as I thought it would be... Jack thought, having expected an extended version of the rant.
After a few minutes, "President Maybury, you can talk to them now..."
Hello, I am President Maybury of ViZion. We have received intel that you have bought the ship HALO from the rouge Captain, as well as giving him full immunity from charges over this. If this is so, we are not pleased.
"Short but to the point. We can't allow that Captain to get away with this, and we surely cannot let the ship and torpedo's to get into anyone elses hands." the President said.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
"The Captain said he will be waiting a little while before joining, and in the mean time, he will continue to connect the $500,000 from each ship, while will be sent directly to you, Admiral. He said he still controls the Strait until he leaves, and that will be a few more hours, as he wants to collect some more money for you in exchange for this deal you have given him.
"He also wants clarification that he will be Captain of a similarly modified battleship or destroyer, having nuclear torpedo's on board and the ability to launch them. He also wants clarification that he will not be handed over to foreign governments, including that of ViZion, and that he will not be charged for anything relating to this incident, thus being able to settle down safely in Nyvidaan as a citizen of Nycton, living a carefree and crime-free life.
"Basically, he wants to be assured that no one can charge him, including your government, over this, and that he can live where he wishes without fear of your government, or foreign governments, including ViZion, having the ability to take him to court, jail, execution, or torture - that he can live a normal Captain's life.

OOC: I mean, are you trying to role play? You cannot say I am attacking you, only I can say that. If I say I am attacking you, then you can say you're overboard and need help, or something like that, but what you're doing isn't part of this role play as I haven't attacked you, and you're role playing ability isn't to good... take a look at my posts and other peoples posts, compare to yours... you need your posts longer, and please, include talk, using quotation marks, and be more discriptive...
You can say something about your ship entering the area... I'll send you a warning... you ignore it and continue... I attack... you call for help and go overboard... you can't just say I am attacking you... you call your shots, I call mine... you call your casualties, I call mine... is that helpful?

"It is being arranged now. He will be given a month of vacation. Once that is complete he is scheduled for a dinner at the Commander of the Navy's House. Afterso, he will go to a breif Naval Academy to fimiliarise himself on Nycton Naval policies. He will be given a major ship. Possibly, the Halo back. If he wants nuclear power though, he will have to probably go into submarines, which is the only sea vessel which carries armed nuclear weapons at this time. We will probably make a expectation for you though. You are a very bright and intelligent naval officer, that has stressful experiences that we admire.
The Halo will be studied and technology copied from the ViZion navy and it's systems. She will be modified and upgraded to interact with Nycton technology, and some caliburs of guns and what not will be interchanged to accomodate standard calibur of weapons of the Nycton Navy. The Nuclear Torpedo's will be takin under jurisdiction of Strategic Command, the fifth military branch of Nycton which has command over all weapons of mass destruction.
It is unknown to the fate of them, but my personel guess is that they are studied very hard, and disassembled/disarmed."
He chuckled at the comment about 'stressful experiences'. He thought, Ya, stressful alright... the Captain makes sure of that... After all, if he shows you your grave if you don't obey him to your teeth, and straps bombs to you in situations like this and you can't call that stressful, well then tell me what is... but he knew better than to say that outloud, as the Captain was likely listening to his every mumble. "Ahh, yes, I learn a great deal from my Captain about stress. He's a very hard-riding Captain, and expects the best out of everyone.
"The Captain likes this very much, and is very pleased with your assurance. He accepts, and is very glad to be a citizen of Nycton and a Captain in the Nycton Naval Forces, as well as the Halo being officially a ship of Nycton property. He has ordered ViZion's flag to be burned, and orders a makeshift Nycton flag to be put in its place. He said in three hours he will order the ship to join these fine ships, as he wants more time with the Halo. It's his love, sir. And he intends on getting you some money thanks to his fees."

The transmission cut off and the Vice Admiral sat back down. OOC: going to bed soon
Admiral Coyle took a long look through his binoculars at the ships of the various nations that were assembling west of the Straits. There appeared to be over 150 vessels there, spread out in an arc 20 miles long. Xeraph itself accounted for approx 70 of those vessels, all in blockade formation. They could see the renegade still moving in lazy circles. No one had as yet made a move to overtake the AWOL ship. The Admiral knew his Emperor well, and he knew that Alaric wasn't going to wait much longer. To have such a large number of ships tied up with just one renegade was not good business. There were "hotspots" all over the world needing Xeraph's attention, and the ships sent here were going to be needed elsewhere very shortly.
" Ensign, have we any reports from the Cobras' yet?"
"Aye, sir, but they're inconclusive. That ship is not making any overt moves of aggression, nor are they asking for help from anyone. They're just steaming along, seemingly minding their own business."
Yeah, right, Coyle thought to himself. Just minding their own business. I wonder just what that business is.
" Any word from the Emperor?"
" Nothing new, sir. He's probably chomping at the bit to attack that ship."
Everybody seems to know the Emperor, Coyle thought as he grinned at the ensign. " Yeah, you know it. But we have to wait. Our allies want the ship in one piece, and they don't want any of the nuke-torps launched. So....we wait."
Notice to all nations involved in the situation with the AWOL ship:
Xeraph not only has 70 naval vessels west of the Straits, but a significant presence in the MedSea Zone, both naval and air. Also, we have approx 15,000 troopers stationed in various countries around the Mediterranean Region. If the Coalition wants to consider a joint maneuver to overcome the rogue ship's commander, we are ready to serve.

As the guards patrolled the decks, one of the men thought they saw something in the water. He quickly went to one of the officers, who quietly gave orders to turn on one of the flood lights in the area the man thought he was seeing something, only about 50 feet from the ship.
As the light shone bright, they saw something moving. Alerted, he radiod the Captain. "Well, shoot at it, damn you stupid mother fucker!" he screamed into the radio. "It's probably some covert spec ops! Kill them!" After that, he ordered the engines to go 100% as he turned the might nuclear ship in the direction they said they were in.
On the deck, the men began firing into the water at the area.

Radar/Comms broke the silence on the Belial. "Captain, you need to have a look at this."

The Captain sat back, quite smug. This is getting funner by the moment... he thought to him self. This sly and cunning dare-devil loved living on the edge. The newspapers in ViZion, upon hearing of him, dubbed him Mad Man Mickey, and rightfully so with his rouge actions.

"Sir... our radar is showing a clump of possibly ten ships, a convoy it looks to be, heading this way." The Captain took a look. "Well... let them get closer before we send a message. They're still pretty far off. We'll see if they continue this way for another four hours. By then, they should turn off if they're not heading here."
The ship continued on her course, as no order was given from the Captain to do otherwise. The presence of the battleship, whilst slightly unnerving, did not have the crew unduly worried.
"What do you think they're doing there?" One Enlisted sailor whispered to his mate. Both were inside one of the armoured dual 6" gun mounts to the fore of the cruiser.
"No idea, but I don't think they'll give us any problems."
"Why do you think that, Castor?" Chipped in another man, also standing ready to man his gun.
"Well they have to know what would become of them if they fired, eh? We've destroyed entire navies in the past... one antiquated battleship isn't going to block our way. Why would it want to anyway?"
"Money?" Answered the second sailor.
"The Cap'n doesn't have any money!" Retored the first.
"True, true," the second admitted, "but it's damned odd. I hope someone isn't blockading the Strait again... that Chellis fiasco was a damned inconvenience."

They sat, and waited...
"Sir, the clump of 10 or so ships... they're definately heading straight for us..." said one of the men watching over the radars. "Open up communications." the Captain ordered to one of the radiomen. Once it was ready, he began to speak.
"We, the NNS Halo, hereby order your convoy to halt. You will not be allowed to pass through the Strait without a payment of $500,000 to us. We will engage you if you do not obey and decide to try to continue without payment in full. We warn you, we have nuclear torpedo's on this ship, and will use them if necessary."
The Captain leaned back into the chair. "Ahhh..." he said, "How nice it is..."
The Commodore was baffeled. How the hell could an Iowa launch a torpedo? Where were the launchers? He stood over the deck, and watched the 14" ETC guns swivle towards the Iowa. Down in the firecontrol room, the shells guidance was being informed of their target... the RADAR.
The Grey Storm was possibly the only ship in the fleet that had anti-radiation shells. Sure every shell in the Artitsan navy had LIDAR and GPS, but not a ANTI-RADIATION system. The GPS location of the IOWA was loaded in, and now they waited for the order. They were still outside the range of the Iowa's 16" guns, and would be for a long time.
The order was given, and a large thunderous boom resounded throughout the ship as it rocked side to side. The shells were sent screaming into the air, 6 in total. They reached their pinnicle in their arch, and four fins extended. Immediatly they began course adjustments based on the GPS reciever, and the radiation detection system. They guided the shells all the way to the boat, and hopefully into the RADAR system that controlled the SAMs.

[OOC: Not that it really matters, but there are 10 warships, and another 30 or so cargo ships armed only with 30mm cannon and the like.]
"Sir! Incoming transmission from the Iowa Class!" A Midshipman shouted from his radio-station.
"Let's hear it," the Lieutenant replied, and the message was broadcast across the bridge:
"We, the NNS Halo, hereby order your convoy to halt. You will not be allowed to pass through the Strait without a payment of $500,000 to us. We will engage you if you do not obey and decide to try to continue without payment in full. We warn you, we have nuclear torpedo's on this ship, and will use them if necessary."
The bridge crew were rather stunned. The ships were still moving forwards, indeed it would be difficult to stop them, but the Lieutenant barked the order to slow, and to wake the Captain.
The Captain, even more disgruntled than he was a few hours ago, stepped on to the bridge and shouted gruffly,
"This better be good, or someone isn't getting off this convoy duty any time soon," staring at the Lieutenant.
"A renegade ViZionian battleship is threatening us with a nuclear device unless we pay them a ransom of $500,000."
"Damn fools!" He barked, not perturbed for a minute, "We don't have any money. Tell 'em where to get off, and remind them of what happens to foreigners who sink His Majesty's ships."
"Errr... sir, they have a nuclear torpedo," the Lieutenant appealed, but the Captain had already left the bridge. If this went badly, then it would cost him his commission and possibly his life, but he was supremely confident in the naval dominance of Praetonia, and he knew himself that no foreign power would stand in the way of a vessel which flew Praetonian colours. Such blind patriotism was unfortunately common in the Praetonian military and Praetonian high society.
"Keep going, and broadcast static on all channels," the Lieutenant ordered, hoping that that would buy some time, or at least prompt them to send a helicopter to meet in person. What would happen then was beyond his sight, but knew that he could turn about now and lose his commission and be disgraced before his family and friends. He couldn't let that happen, but at the same time he didn't want to be killed by a 16" HE shell.

"Sir, we're out of.." "Shut up you dumb ass! Get us there!"
Another shell hit, this time hitting the deck, again portside. The ship was ordered to head directly for the Artistian ship, nuclear torpedo readied. "I want to send them a message." the Captain barked. "Sir, it'll be pretty staticy, I think one of the shells knocked the antana's off-kilter." one of the radiomen replied. "I don't give a fuck. Does it look like I give a fuck? No!"
After a moment, they were able to send out the message.
"Artistian ship, we order you to cease fire. We will return fire if you do not leave the area. We also have nuclear torpedo's, and will use them if you force us to. And it may not be military targets, either. Are you prepared to bear the responsibility of forcing us to launch a nuclear attack upon civilians, or another nations naval forces, just so you can destroy one battleship? Again, we order you to leave the area or be destroyed."

"Prepare to fire upon them if they do not stop..." the Captain replied. Just then, one of the seamen came in to give a report, "Captain, we have lost 17 men, another 21 are injuried. We just got two fires under control now. The haul is slightly damaged, but it holding. Any direct hit, and we're done for, sir. I would like to re..."
"I know what you'd like to request, but..." the Captain pulled a gun out, "I'd suggest you go back, alert the men we're going straight for the ship that fired upon us. We may be using the nuclear torpedo soon, too."
"Yes sir." he replied before turning and heading back.

"I see a bunch of ships laying around everywhere, it looks like only a few have been shooting, sir" "keep watching it, the Duke has given orders right now to get closer to the Halo, airforcecontrol out." "this is Black Eagle, coming closer with pleasure!"
"Captain, there's a plane... looks like a Blackbird, that's been circling around the area. I can't tell you what country it's from, but someones camming us." said a watchman. "Ahh, don't worry about it. We got enough fighting to worry about. I could care less about any plane that does not posess firepower. He's not seeing anything that these other ships aren't. They all know what we have, where we are, and what we look like." the Captain said.

The Lieutenant put his binoculars to his eyes and surveyed the drama unfolding to their port.
"Sir, the Artitsans are exchanging fire with the Halo. The ViZionians say they've readied the nuclear torpedo," the same Midshipman shouted across the bridge.
"Ready combat systems, prepare to engage. Order the cargo ships to break off and scatter. Oh, and wake the Captain again even if he doesn't want to be woken."
Missiles in the various VLS cells throughout the fleet were armed, and the sum total of the fleet's gun armament, ten 6" guns and twelve 4.5" guns, were being readied to fire. It was hoped that ti would not come to that, but he could not turn back, and going forwards meant a fight. It would be best to do so here, with the Artitsans to support, that further on in the Strait and within torpedo range.
A single small UUV was launched under the waves, and a UAV was also launched into the air. The UUV traveled towards the Iowa incredibly slowly, avoiding detection by the Iowa's meager sonar system. The UUV would study the underside of the hull, and look for any torpedo tubes. The UAV would look for any Torpedo tubes on the deck... It would be safe since the RADAR was apparently quite damaged.
Meanwhile the V-84T and two V-84A's hovered a fair distance away, awaiting further orders to strike.
Out of the distance, the 13th Fleet moved to copy the Halo's movements.
The 9 x 20" Electro-Thermal Chemical Guns on the NNS Livewire (Larger than a Yamato), and the 9 x 16" guns Electro-Thermo Chemical Guns of the two Imperial-Clas battleships all moved to to point in the direction of the Artitsa ship.
"TERAIS Guidance processing projectory by motion detection, GPS Guidance, RADAR, and heat detection." Said one of the sailor's on the bridge.
"Targeted. Main batteries are ready to fire, Sir."
"Fire." Said Senior Admiral Koss
"Aye Aye, Sir," The Sailoy slammed on a button and moved to a microphone infront of him, "Bridge to Main Battery Control, Engage, Engage!"
The normal lights of the Battleships truned off, and a red light lit the inside of every ship in the fleet, meaning battlestations. A moaning was heard and a thunderous boom was heard of nine, 20" projectiles and eight teen, 16" projectiles was went spiraling in a arch at the super-structure of the Artitsa Ship.
"TERAIS is reloading the main batteries."
"Commence firing with the main batteries at the Artitsa ship(s), until it is sinking. It will be a hint to never fuck with a Nycton owned ship. That Iowa is ours."
"Senior Admiral Koss to the Halo, you are ordered to merge with the fleet now, and head due South West toward Nyctania. Respond."

An encrypted message was sent to the Nyctonian naval forces in the area.
Senior Admiral Koss, this is Captain Mickey Johnson of the NNS Halo. Artitsian forces have begun firing upon us. We did not fire the first shot. I repeat, we have come under attack by Artitsian forces. We request backup, as we know this will lead to a massive battle. Our lone ship likely cannot come out of this in tact, as there are near 100 opposition ships, many of then armed, to engage us now. NNS Halo, as you are well aware, is Nyctonian property. One that you have vested interests in, might I add. Again, NNS Halo is under attack. Requesting your aid.
The ship continued steaming ahead straight for the Artitsian ship, preparing to engage. "Sir, we'll be in range in 45 seconds..."

"Sir, Koss has ordered us to merge with their fleet... NOW." he one of the radiomen. "We'll obey those orders."
The ship turned, preparing to merge with the fleet. He ordered a message to be sent to Koss. "We are merging with you now."
EDIT:
"Wait, don't turn the radio off yet!" the Captain yelled just as he was sitting down. "I remembered something else..." he said, grinning, as he walked back over to the radio.
"Senior Admiral Koss, I request the ability to launch nuclear torpedo 1 at the merging Artitsian/Praetonian forces to destroy them, giving us a scotch-free escape while all other forces are destroyed, damaged, or to stunned to react until we are well out of the area."
"Open hostilities! Full weapon status, open up with everything! Take down those shells!"
The massive 16" and 20" shells that came towards the Grey Storm were almost the size of a small car... and easy pickings. The four lasers mounted aboard had a field day picking off almost a dozen, while missiles slammed into the surviving shells. The Grey Storm picked up speed to 47kts, and pulled out of their range, but now readied the other weapons.
"This is the AMS. Grey Storm, we are under attack by Nycton vessels, and require immediate destruction of the force."
"AMS. Grey Storm, this is Contoller 019915, fully copy, dispatching shipping. K-991 Boxer-Class SSN within operating range, will engage. Aircraft will be launched in T - 2 minutes."
The Grey Storm began cycling off its 96 AM-98A heavyweight Anti-Shipping Missiles as well as its 64 AM-12 MAW standard anti-shipping missiles. The AM-98A had a 650kg warhead, and a speed of Mach 4 whilst sea skimming. They were incredibly advanced and would prove difficult to shootdown. The AM-12's were a smaller more nimble version, with a 200kg warhead. (I can give full stats).
From the Boxer Class SSN, 48 AM-98A's were launched aft of the sail, heading straight for the Nycton fleet. The EB-15 AWACs, previously unnoticed, now directed each and every anti-shipping missile to its target, while attempting to jam the Nycton ships RADARs enough to prevent intervention.
From the South Coast of Artitsa, 24 Su-53's, 6 Su-55's, and 4 F/A-211's were taking off and heading towards the battle zone. The Su-53's carried 6 AM-12 MAW's each, and the F/A-211's carried two AM-98A's and 4 AM-12 MAW's.
Last but certainly not least, a Blue Star Class Super-Dreadnaught was being moved in from the middle Atlantic, escorted by two Borzya BBN's, a Levithian BBCN, and four Arrow Cruisers. The Nycton fleet would be pinned, with the Blue Star coming in from the west, the Boxer SSN from the North, the Grey Storm to the South, and the Praetonians from the East.

The Lieutenant's gaze was fixed in the direction of the ViZion battleship, but he was distracted completely by the shouts from a Midshipman that Nycton forces had opened fire upon the Artitsan battleship.
"What the devil..." he began, but his voice faded away as he saw gunshots streak the air and explode, accompanied by large booms.
"Sir, the ViZion ship is moving to attack the Nycton fleet at close range! Who should we..." the Lieutenant waved him quiet.
"We must support our allies if we are to win this. Have all guns target the larger of their battleships, have them load AP ammunition. I also want twenty Lance missiles, ten Battleaxe missiles configured with tungsten penetrators and another ten Battleaxe missiles. Have the fleet split up. Force them to split their fire between multiple targets."
"Sir!" Many bridge officers shouted in confirmation. ANother, however, was a greeting,
"Sir, the Captain refuses to be woken, and he's posted a guard to his door."
The Lieutenant sighed deeply, "It's just us then."

"Captain, your orders?" asked an Officer. "Destroy that plane." he ordered as the plane headed towards them. Within a moment, anti-air fire began filling the air. They were determined to destroy anything with a gun or missile now.
The Captain ordered the officer back into the room. "Yes sir?" he asked. "Begin firing upon the Praetonian ships that can be reached." the Captain ordered. "Yes, sir." the Officer said before heading out.
Not but a moment later, the ship began to shake as the 10", 14", and 16" cannons began firing. Four missiles were also loaded and launched, split between two different Praetonian ships and two different Artitsian ships.
"Destroy them.. I want them destroyed" The Captain bellowed over the intercoms, while sounding the alarms.

"Captain... you might want to hear this... We can rent these guys to distract the enemies while we make our escape!" he said, laughing at his comment he thought was so funny. The Captain smiled. England and Ireland

The English battleship cruised along the blue sea at 32 knots, Captain Willliam P. Wigret was standing on deck, he was unhappy.
"Why?" he thought, "Why the hell did I have to be the closest one?"
He was referring to the fact that his ship was being sent to evaluate a "small skirmish" that had erupted near a strait. England and Ireland had been contacted by several countries on the matter within no less than an hour or two, they had to do something, and his ship was the closest. The H.M.S. Excalibur was the highlight of English naval might in its day, which was a decade ago. Now ships were being built in England and Ireland that were greatly adavance, even compared to the Excalibur, but who cared. The captain was even more disheveled when he found out about the nukes.
"Lauch!" he shouted, seconds later a small whine and then a noise like a gunshot rang out across the deck. It was a small airplane, about a meter long and two across, it wasn't a weapon, just reconissance, actually real handy the R.I.G., or Remote Intelligence Glider could pick up airial shots of battles with no risk of humans because it was remotley controlled.
"Nukes! God help us."

And finally the Levithian BBCCN opened up its 15 22" guns upon the Nycton fleet as well. They would wait for orders to fire their next salvo. The two Anti-Shipping missiles were easily smacked down by two Dublin-600 SAMs. 235 AM-98's were launched in retaliation.
K-992 launched a spread of six supercavitating torpedoes (660mm, big ass) and two 1000mm supercavitating torpedoes at the battleships. She would reload immediatly and fire off another six.
The Flight of Aircraft loosed their anti-shipping missiles, and turned about, to rearm and refuel, while the Grey Storm continued to move out of the Iowa's range, but still hammering it with her own 14" ETC guns.

I should also point out that it's very difficult and at least time consuming to reload VLS cells, and generally involves someone getting on deck with a crane. Anyway, do you have stats for your missiles?]
"Sir! Two missiles inbound," the Midshipman shouted. He looked worried, but he really shouldn't have been. Praetonian SAAM systems were hishly complex and designed to deal with large missile strikes. A small, low-level threat was quickly dealt with. CIWS guns rattled, and the first missile went down. The second evaded the Testudo 40mm dual guns, for a few seconds, but was then taken down by a SCRAMjet Discus SAAM.

McKensey finally knew it, they were here to help! the Grand Duke will play for supreme commander, and the plan is to get those nuclear torpedos, for the faith of the world, but there's one thing he don't likes about the plan, the nuclears are going back to Vizion, why not to Van Luxemburg?
(OOC i'll post other plans tonight (i'm Euro))

"Sir, the Nyctoni fleet has struck her Colours," the Midshipman said to the Lieutenant now fearing seriously for his life. His ship had just been hit by four anti-ship missiles, and although two have failed to do much damage, the other two had struck the superstructure which was now ablaze in two different places. The comms mast had collapsed into the sea. Elsewhere in the fleet, three Jupiter Class Frigates were sinking fast, and their crews were abandoning ship, her command staff in the helicopter.
Two of the Praefele Class Destroyers were seriously damaged, with fires spreading towards the engine room in one ship. Every other ship in the fleet had some damage of some kind, but had performed excellently in shooting down many of the missiles headed towards them, and the armour had taken many more.
"Nyctoni fleet, this is Lieutenant Avarius Polus of the Imperial Praetonian Navy. I accept your surrender," the Lieutenant informed the enemy over a megaphone. He was just thinking of the prize money he would get from this fleet.
"Get the Artitsans on comms, have them send a represantative to discuss the dividing up of their fleet," the Lieutenant ordered.

McKensey ran towards the airport "what the Hell is that? we don't even got C5 Galaxys!" when he asked for info at the office of the Grand Duke, he heard that the Duke had bought some new stuff, for private use, the government had nothing to do with it. including
3 C5 Galaxys
2 Cougar Helicopters
10 M2A3 bradleys
and an M1A2 Abrams tank
"it must not get weirder, he is buying an enormous army!"on that moment he heard the roaring of some kind of rocket or something....
The Grand Duke was in his office, which he had rented because it had a solid door instead of a glass one, so his assistant wouldn't walk up against the door again, when he heard a huge bang "Damnit, we're being shot at!" he grabbed its radio and called for help: "we're being shot at, open fire immediatly!" at that moment the door opened and his assistant came in, "sorry, i walked up against the door again, that was a huge bang"
the Duke grabbed his radio and said "cease Fire, cease Fire, it was an accident!" "sorry, but that's no longer possible sir, we already shot everything we've got!" in the confusion the next minutes, soldiers began shooting at eachoter, getting serious injuries and 2 dead and a boeing commercial liner was shot out of the air by a stinger, "sir, injuries on other parties unknown, but they gonna be big i think!" Official Nycton Government Response
"Early this morning, the Nycton navy enaged in a series of missile, torpedo, aircraft, and turret strikes against the Artitsa and Praetonia Fleets. Though, Senior Admiral Koss did what he could with what resources he had, it was not enough to stop the much bigger fleets of his hostiles. We was confirmed reports that over 756 men are dead, 816 men wounded. 12 of the 19 ships have been sunk. The 13th Fleet has waved the white flag, and is currently picking up survivors. It will escort the Iowa Battleship to Nyctania. The ships will withstain much repairs. In response to these attacks, I, the Imperator of Nycton is proposing to the Imperial Nycton Senate a series of reforms for the Nycton Navy. These reforms will include funding takin from the Army and Marines and directly to the Navy for research and to broaden it's ship numbers. Currently the Nycton Navy employs over 1,300 combat ships. The new plan named "Naval Plan Z-17A outlines for up to 14 new classes to be built and put into service. The total combatant vessels should be in the 5,800 range within 12 years. Advanced missile development will go in affect also. The nation's of Praetonia and Artitsa has proven the destruction it's weapons can cause and would like to pursue open contracts with the two nations for naval technology. If Naval Plan Z-17A proves successful, there shall most certainly be a Z-17B, upgrading the Navy to a total combatant ship number to the 11,000 range. We hope with future friendship of Artitsa and Praetonia that could even mean membership in the Organization of Maritime Powers. Thank You. Strength, Honor, and glory to the Nycton people."
Imperator Flavius Valteen the II
The Constitutional Imperium of Nycton
Jaws were dropped all around on the Javean warships.
Ulong slowly depressed the intercom button on the Comm officer's panel.
"This is your captain speaking. It would *appear* the conflict is over, without a shot being fired on our part. Your courage and bravery in the face of such overwhelming defeat is commendable, and I *will* be noting it in my official report. Lets head home!"
As he withdrew his finger from the button, Ulong sighed. He knew that this wasn't over. Far from it. A madman still had control over a battleship with nuclear armaments. And now he was rich. But this was the world's problem now, not that of a fisherman-turned-warship-Captain.
"Stand down all weapons systems, and get us the hell out of here."
The screams of the dying could be heard from across the waters. Oil and blood intermixed with the sea, as massive hulks slid to the ocean floor. Observing this, the crews of the Belial and the Trabadeur turned their pristine, untouched ships around.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v387/Praetonia/PraeFlagII.jpg
"The 13th Nyctani Fleet has provisionally been comissioned into the Imperial Praetonian Navy as the 1st Prize Fleet. Vessels will soon be divided between the Democratic Imperium of Praetonia and Artitsa. All sailors aboard the ships have been taken as prisoners. Any attempt to resist the seizure of said vessels will result in the resumation of hostilities, and will most likely result in the destruction of the fleet in question and certainly result in the expansion of hostilities elsewhere. Assuming compliance, the Democratic Imperium of Praetonia sees the vessels to be seized as adequate compensation for the damage caused by Nyctoni vessels to Praetonian naval assets, and no further action shall be persued."

EDIT: SINCE APPARENTLY MY SHIP WAS NOT CAPTURED, my first comment bit of IC talk about the Captain saying not to allow the ship to be boarded is gone.. but President Maybury (last part of this post) is under the impression that the ship was captured, so it stands... And the Lt. Commander part, he and 15 armed guards were on a Nyctonian destroyer making a deal...
IC:
Lt. Commander Japser was clearly frightened. For one, he had two bombs strapped to him that he had no control over, and knowing the Captain, thinks would get messy, seeing that Mickey would not allow any of the crew to be captured. He was also being captured by people who would consider him hostile, even though this whole situation was against his will.
As a high-ranking Praetonian officer approached, he started, "Sir, what is going to happen? Will I be freed?"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back in ViZion City
The mood in the capital was extatic. The ship had been captured, and though damaged, was not destroyed. The Captain, Mickey, is also cornered, and had not been killed. Not yet, anyway. This was all good news.
A message to Praetonia was sent from President Maybury;
Praetonia and Artitsa, we, the government and Armed Forces of ViZion, congratulate you on a grand victory over the rouge nuclear-capable Iowa-class battleship. For the safe return of the crew, including the Captain, as well as the ship, and nuclear torpedo's, we will offer a reward of $450 million to each of your nations. However, all of that must be true in order for the payment to be made.
We look forward to the safe return of all that is required, and thank you very much for helping end this crisis without a nuclear strike happening. We do expect that your nations will not take over our ship except until we can retrieve it and bring it back home, and that you will not study, nor completely take, the nuclear torpedo's on board into your nation, as those two actions would create a problem. But, we trust that that would not happen, and that you remember what a great honor you have done.
Thank you,
President Maybury

Vice Admiral Michael Sutherland was relieved that the situation was over with a relatively small number of causalties on both sides, but his ships remained on station and would until the Rogue Iowa Class Battleship and it's nuclear torps were handed over to ViZion forces, he was also happy at the news of the rest of the 1st Naval Taskforce and the 2nd, and 3rd taskforces of the 1st Silver Sky Naval Fleet would be arriving in a 12 hours thus putting 75 ships under his command, included in that total would be 10 Montana Class SuperBattleships, 5 Sky Class Carriers, 20 Aegis II Guided Missile Cruisers, 30 Lancer class Guided Missile Destroyers, 5 supply ships and the his secret weapons 5 ArchAngel class Sniper Ships, they were equipped with three turrets of 2 24" Electromagnetic railguns, these ships were fast, manuverable. The other advantage of the Sniper ships is that they had 2 torpedo tubes armed with 1000mm supercavitating torps. The only weakness was the lack of AA defences it only had 2 Sniper SAM launchers along with 4 Silver Shield Anti-Missile gun systems. Which requires it to be protected by AA ships.
Another reason the Vice Admiral was staying on station is that he did not trust nations that allied with others only by coincidence, or to destroy a common enemy because they often turned against each other, especially when new technology was in there grasps. He watched the Praetonia and Artitsa fleets with a calculating eye, he was devising a battle plan just in case things got bad. But these were purely defensive plans.

"Hold on let we contact the Vice Admiral." After a brief exchange over the video comm system the captain turned towards the Ensign with a smug look on his face. "Ensign get a lock on those Survoen Fighters and fire!"
Three launchers turned and elevated, towards the target, next came the sound of launching Sniper SAMs, the missiles streaked towards their targets at speeds of Mach 6.

"Damn, switch the missiles to LIDAR (laser/radar) guidance and fire!" The Captain then turned on the Comm system and contacted the nearest Strike Dagger fighter squadron. "We on the GMD "Buster' have detected incomming Survoen fighters please engaged." A response came over the radio. "This is Black Sky squadron, roger that "Buster" were only ten miles from the location of the enemy fighters, engaging." Just then warning lights started to go off all over the bridge. "Captain the enemy fighters have launched missile at us!" "Engage the Silver Shield AMS!"
The SS AMS kicked in and began to fire a deadly hail of Depleted Uranium 20mm rounds, the results were astounding, all of the missiles except 2 were destroyed, and the 2 that impacted only caused a light amount of damage.

Official Statement of the Grand Duchy of Van Luxemburg
after the hostilities surrounding the Halo have been finished, the Grand Duchy of Van Luxemburg has announced, it would not be leaving Gibraltar anywhere soon, the advantages of the sea-linked port are too great. this means that Van Luxemburg also will be building on a Navy, for the First time in history of Van Luxemburg a Ship under the Van Luxemburgian flag will have its own homeport. the navy will be fairly small but highly mobile consisting of:
3 "Jacob Ruysdael" destroyers armed with cruise missiles, eventually nuclear (http://www.marine.nl/images/SM-launch%203_tcm10-4303.jpg)
1 "Luxembourg" class, for amphibious operations (http://www.marine.nl/images/RDAM%20flares%20scherm_tcm10-10978.jpg) , carrying one Sea King and a Sea Lynx
1 "Echternach" class supply ship (http://www.marine.nl/images/ADAM%203%20-%20scherm_tcm10-4828.jpg)
1 "Sea Wolf" class Nuclear Sub
and
1 Catamaran Battleship : armed with two Tomahawk missilebays 3 200' cannons and an apache longbow.
these will al be constructed in Van Luxemburg itself, and there will be tried to finish them in a half RL day because much of the ships systems have been readyed, they only need to commence tests at sea.

Our helicopters will be continuously transmitting on 156.00kHz. While some are marked with the internationally known symbol of the red cross on a white body, others will be converted military transports. Please refrain from firing on these aircraft.
Our flotilla also has six patrol craft which have been fitted for medical and logistical support. They will transmit on the same frequency as they to not properly bare red cross insignia. They will be flying red cross flags as well as their national flags.
We are not affiliated or allied with any of the nations involved in this conflict. We will remain neutral. We will return nationals to their country of origin unless it is obvious that a war criminal act has taken place. In such cases, international law will be followed.

Nycton was trying to get us out of there, and when you guys fired upon the Halo, it was one of their ships, and it was preparing to leave... so, technically, you fired upon a Nycton ship that was planning to leave, as they convinces our Captain to cease his action so no large fighting would happen... lol *sigh*... There was a violent explosion as the nuke hit the ship just above the water line, but luckly the nuke didn't dentonate(sp?). The Captain sighed in relief and called over the comm system to damage control, "How bad is the hit?" "Really bad sir, were taking on alot of water, the ship is starting to list, I recommend we abandon ship." said the chief engineer. "Ok." ----Kelgrad International Airport, recently seized for military operations.
The Chancellor was onhand to watch the 10 Bear bombers and their 15 MiG-29 fighters take off, headed towards the Straight of Gibralter. Each bomber was armed with a 2 Kelt missles. The number of bombers was not necissary for one battle ship, but the Chancellor knew that navies from all over the world were assembling in the region, and he wanted them all to see Kelgrad's might at work. Chancellor Sundberg turned to his aide. "Ready a message for the heads of government in Imported_viZion, tell them that we will no longer be attempting to take the ship intact. We will make every effort to sink the ship with the warheads intact, but our main priority is now to avenge the pilots of flight 242. Our Kelt missiles can be fired from far enough out that our bombers will be safe, but a few of the missiles are expeced to be lost to gunfire or other countermeasures. Send the message immediately." His aide saluted and left for the nearest computer.
"Attention, attention, all ships in the Gibralter Stright, this is the Kelgradian Air Force. We are currently inbound to destroy the rouge battle-ship. We are not to respond to any contact from you or our own commander. Any attempt to interfere with our mission will be met with a response from our escort fighters. All ships should pull back. This is all." Captain Kadmetskri repeated the message in several other languages, and released the transmission button. He signaled to the other bombers to begin their bombing run. "MiG flight, head in and attempt to eliminate any chaff launchers and Vulcan guns you can. Good luck" The leader of the flight of MiG-29's led his men in at Mach 1, his fighter screaming towards the massive ship, missles armed.

"yes sir"
"this is Navycontrol to all ships, we just got a warning from Xeraph, we need to be ready to head for bunkers, please watch the Halo, if they fire, you must fire too, do you copy?"
"this is Diekirch, roger!"
"this is the Echternach, we launched a Sea Lynx to attack the Halo"
"Great Job Capt'n, you're blond are you? if the Halo shoots the torp after we have shot an coventional airbourn torpedo from that Sea Lynx, we're dead meat over here in Gibraltar"
"but..."
"nothing "but"! you may continue with the Sea Lynx, but don't let it happen again!"
"roger"
"this is Sea Lynx, we got the Halo in sight, firing now"
"roger, good luck"
at the same moment two conventional torpedo's were airborne, going in the direction of the Halo.

[OOC: Possibly true, but they didn't communicate that to us, and they then fired on Artitsa without so much as a radio contact. Therefore they have their fleet nicked. That's just how it goes...]
The Praetonian Officer replied politely,
"In due course. Now, if you would follow me," he said, gesturing in front of him where three armed marines were waiting to take him aboard a Praetonian vessel.
OOC: however, it was flying their flag... ;) oh well... lol... and who was that IC comment to? Not my Lt. Commander, right? Or was is?

The Captain sat their, periodicly checking, and watching the ships get smaller and smaller as the horizon was near the point of eatting them all up.
"This is good... no chase so far." he said. "Looks like we may be able to sake our nuclear torpedo's for another time. We must head for Nycton. There we will be much, much safer. I'm still expecting their payment, as long as their Admiral makes it out alive. And as for Jasper... well, I hope he makes it here with us to serve under me once again."
Just as he was letting a sigh out, "Sir! Sir! Incoming Kelgrad fighters!" yelled out one of the watchmen. "Great... alright, well, I spoke to soon it looks like." he said, hitting the alarm once again. "Incoming Kelgrad fighters! To your places men! Take them out!" he barked over the intercom.

"Echternach, this is Navycontrol, ram the Halo, no matter the costs"

Ten minutes later the Echternach reached the Halo, it seemed they were too busy to see the Echternach coming. "this is a great day for victory, unfortunatly whe must lose a ship" Captain D'Evolute said. a few moments later, the Echternach rammed the Halo.
Shoot! they rammed her!! I WANT THAT CASH!!!!!

Back in ViZion City
"Mr. Maybury, no one will reply to us. We have not found out what is happening right now, what is going on with Mickey, with the ships and torpedo's, nothing." said Jack, an adviser to President Maybury. "I suggest we sent another message demanding information on the status of the ship. We have gotten no updates recently since the rumor of Mickey trying to sell the ship." he continued.
"Very well, let me send another message. This goes to all allied forces in the area..." President Maybury said. After an hour, he was ready.
This is President Maybury of ViZion. We have gotten no update on the situation, or the status of Halo. Has the ship been captured? Destroyed in the action? Or is it still on the loose. We are demanding an update, as not a single nation has been willing to give us the status in while some time.
Again, we require that the Captain and ship, if at all possible, be returned in one piece, alive. We also demand that the torpedo's be returned to us immediately after capture.
Thank you.
"They've better give us an update quickly..." Maybury said, clearly becoming impatient now.

OK, get hold of Admiral Coyle. Tell him to move his CBG's west towards the renegade. Have Admiral Mosher move his CBG's through the Straits east. We are prepared to destroy your onboard weapons, and a flight of heavy bombers in moving into position to sink your ship. This is your last chance."
The Captain ordered a response.
"Hostile aircraft, do not, I repeat, do not fire upon us, or we will destroy you, and we WILL use our nuclear missiles. If you fire upon us, or dare to bomb us, you will force us to strike a heavily-populated coastline, thus striking thousands, if not millions, of civilians. Do not force us into that position. We will also be forced to fire upon your aircraft, and launch our anti-air missiles. Do not make the mistake other aircraft have made in the past."
He then sounded the alarm, and over the intercom, ordered the crew, "We have ordered the hostile planes to not fire. If they do not turn away, destroy then!"
" Attention, Kelgrad! It seems that Kelgrad and Xeraph are the only two nations with the resolve to end this conflict. We are presently taking measures to intercept the renegade battleship, with naval and air support.
Six CBG's, totalling over 100 vessels, are presently forming a blockade surrounding the battleship, and three squadrons of King Cobra and F-111 fighter-bombers are en route to the area. In approximately 1 hour, Operation Whirlwind will commence with three successive waves of fighter-bombers dropping their payloads on the renegade. Approx 1/2 hour later, all battleships, destroyers and missile ships will lock in on whatever is left of the ship, and finish her off. In the event of a nuclear launch on the part of the renegade, we will be tracking the radio-isotope signature of the torpedo via our Orbital Satellite, OSS-1. Royal Xeraphian Oscar Subs will coordinate location of torpedo, and attempt to intercept.
We will need your support, and we will render ours to you. Good Luck!"

"Attention, renegade AWOL battleship! This is General Lord Strickland, Commander of the Xeraphian Forces! You have exactly one hour to stand down and surrender your vessel, intact, or you will be attacked and destroyed. This is your only warning, I repeat, your only warning!"
(Confused...where is the left overs of my fleet at?)

Our Bear bombers say that they are in position to fire all 20 of their Kelt missles. What are your orders, Comrade Captain?" Marxon took a deep breath. "Commence the operation. Destroy the enemy anti-missle areas and if possible, the control rooms. We will have 20 missles from the bombers here in just a minute or so, so make this quick. You may fire when ready, comrades." Two Vapmire missles dropped from two of the MiG-29's while the others moved into range for their smaller Sparrow missles.

"Captain..." said one of the watchmen as the Captain cut him off, "Yes, I see." he said, walking over to where the nuclear launch button was. "Set cordinates for two seperate coastal cities that are in range from where we are. Then fire." he said. "Yes, sir." said one of the men.
The Captain walked outside onto the deck, and seeing the waves of incoming planes, rushed down to the Captains Quarter, a place just for himself. The room was at the tail end (OOC: err, I always get mixed up on the actual names...) of the ship. In there was a small speedboat with a enough room for three people - one driver and two gunners or passengers. He hurried back onto the deck, ordering two of the top Officers in the area to come with him.
Within a couple of moments, they were in the speedboat. "We aren't leaving the ship and our men, are we?" asked one of the men. "What the fuck does it look like we're doing?" he asked, pushing a button. The moaning of metal could be heard as a small door opened from behind them, water rushing around them. A second later, the boat was unlatched as the little engine came to life. The boat slipped out behind the ship, and began speeding off to the North East. Just then, the two nuclear torpedo's were launched, missing them by a meer two feet.
Back on the ship, the men had no clue that the Captain and two officers were leaving as they continued firing at the planes and incoming missiles.
" Catain, we are 20 seconds to dropping payloads......hold on, we have a STAT message from OSS-1! They've launched two nuclear torpedos! Destination as yet undetermined!"
"OK, lieutenant, good job. Alert the Admiral of the situation. I suppose the Oscars are gonna have to do their thing now. We will continue our run. Good luck, gentlemen."
The first wave leveled off at 500 feet, their missiles locked on the battleship. They fired all missiles, and banked off to the south.
"Captain, we have a small craft heading at top speed north-west from the battleship."
The rat deserting his ship, no doubt, Captain Spikes thought.
" Attention....Kelgradian squadron leader! It looks like we have the leader of the renegade ship flying the coop. Would one of your Migs like to join me in a joint venture?"
"Roger, Xeraph, we have also detected the enemy's boat. I am sending two of my men to assist, and two men after each torpedo. The other 9 will continue on a course to the ship. Good hunting."
Six Mig-29 fighters broke off from the formation. The first two headed off after the small speedboat bouncing along on the waves, soon closing the gap between them and the Xeraphian fighters. Lt. Rodnisk had to give it to them, they were excellent pilots. Meanwhile Zulus 4,5,7, and 8 closing in on their respective nuclear torpedo. "Captain", one of the pilots called, "We can see our ojective just below the surface. What should we do now? We have no way to neutralize them without risking detonation." The captain, still leading his men against the still dangerous ship, hit his radio button. "Try to take them out with your guns. They are sure to detonate if we do nothing, and the least we will do is limit civilian casualties in the cities. Do your best."
The Mig and the King Cobra veered off to pursue the fleeing speedboat. They were wing-to-wing as they dropped to 15 feet above the Mediterranean Sea. They gave the "thumbs-up", and an instant later, opened fire on the speedboat. They noticed with a bit of amusement the paltry attempt by the occupants of the boat to fire on them with their handguns. As the tracers walked towards the boat, sending up little spouts of seawater, the last thing they saw was the former renegade Captain turning his head to look at them, eyes filled with fear......
As the .35mm bullets ripped into the speedboat, exploding the hull into splinters, the gunmen on board the boat held up their hands, as if that would save them. They were instantly turned into unrecognizable chunks of bloody meat, as dozens of bullets slammed into them. The Captain was the last to die, his mouth open in terror, as he realized his death was upon him. The rounds from the Gatling guns tore him to pieces, sending up and out a spray of blood. He was still alive as the first shark nuzzled him, then fed.........
"Captain, the rouge ship's leader has been dealt with. We are moving to link up with the next Xeraphian wave heading towards the ship." The captain responded, "Good job, crew. He got what he deserved. How is the situation going with the torpedos?" Flight 1, dealing with the first torpedo launched, responded first. "Comrade Captain, we are in position to fire on the torpedo. What is your order, sir?" The captain hesitated. If this was successful, it would mean the instant deaths of his men, the allies in the area, and many civilians. Still, there was the chance that the warheads wouldn't activate until they were closer to the target, meaning that they could stop them now. He had to decide. "Comrades, fire on the torpedoes. Good luck." A moment later, the jets tailing the torpedoes unlocked their Vulcan guns, and opened fire.

Then the Vice Admiral sighed in relief as the whole fleet exploded into celebration, the nukes were stopped, and casualties on all sides were kept to a minimum, although there still the odd chance the the nkes would explode when they hit the sea floor, and they would also need to be retrieved, but these thing were minor compared to what could have happened, he walked back into the bridge to give orders to his fleet.

The Three Jacob Ruysdael frigates were heading to Gibraltar, Sea to Air Missiles loaded, as well as some special Rocket to Rocket missiles
"we need to get that second one, if we don't, our citizens are meat!"
"roger, arming missiles"
-in the Air-
the B-2 was rushing back to HQ in Luxembourg, but the Blackbird stayed for a while, because it's sensors could pick up any missiles inbound to hit Gibraltar
"Black Eagle here, we haven't got any contacts yet, but still scanning"
"roger Black Eagle, Airforcecontrol out"
(OOC: btw, why is nobody responding to my messages, please explain to me!)
ooc: I am no longer sure waht is going on, but my fighters are probably low on fuel by now, so I am going to recal all Kelgradian aircraft from the area.

OOC> I think we're waiting for someone to destroy one nuke, and have the other impact somewhere.

OOC: Do you mind if i have a late entry? Just to see if I can have the nukes shot down that is. If not, disregard the post.

Well out of radar range of the ships and their escorts, flying on the edge of the atmosphere, a massive dart shaped aircraft loitered about the area. With her low RCS and the Pallas Athena system, she had avoided detection so far. Radio silence of course had been mandated ever since they had begun their mission. The EB-15 Arkbird Ultraheavy Bomber was a hidden blade ready to be used at a moments notice. So far, all she had done was watch, an observer high in the sky.
Not anymore.
Not for what was happening.
The encrypted communications channels flared to life as a tight beam microburst was sent to the awaiting satelite high in orbit.
"This is Zulu Flight to Papa Romeo! The trout have gone live! I repeat. They have gone live! Targets unknown. Fishers on Trout 1. Nothing on Trout 2! Request orders"
An eternity of seconds passed before the response came.
"Let the Pelicans fly."
The four men who heard the response reacted immediately. Hands flashed to controls and safety releases.
Bay doors opened on the lower sides of the bomber, increasing her visibility to all as the smooth surface was broken. Twelve silvery shapes fell from the bays, flying entirely on their own intertia as they sped towards the watery surface at a near 90 degree angle of attack.
AI packages estimated the descent rate and at a thousand feet above the sea, engines flared to life and control surfaces activated, bringing the shapes out of their steep dive as they sped after their targets. It was a maneuver no human could have done without blacking out. Fortunately, there were no humans aboard these fighters.
The "Pelicans" were going "fishing".
OOC: You bought EB-15's? I wasn't aware of this.

That was my offer. Your reply came in the next page, accepting it. I presume during the time that passed, the payment was completed and the aircraft delivered? Speaking of which, can I order more?

OOC: This is gonna be a REEEAAALLY crappy post, so sorry...
IC:
The boat is struck, an explosion thrusting the captain high into the air, the explosion killing him and his officers.
Back on the ship, many of the men began to bail, jumping overboard into the water, while others continued fighting.
On the "bomb boat" (as I'll so kindly refer to as), Jasper looked around, watching what was going on, tapping his toes and twiddling his thumbs, waiting for something to happen.
One of the torpedo's was hit, finally exploding, sending a tower of water hundreds of feet into the air, instantly contaminating the sea water while sending large waves speeding towards the hostile fleets. The other torpedo, however, made it through the firing, and nearing the city.
OOC: I TOLD you it would be a crappy post!

(OOC It IS a crappy post :D )
"this is Black Eagle, we've got an Torpedo incoming!"
"roger that, we'll bring the Rolands!"
a few minutes later, the Roland AA battery was rolled out, aswell as twenty Mirage Fighters, all aimed at the torpedo. "FIRE!" it sounded.
at the same moment, an inferno started, on which could clearly be seen that the second torpedo was hit, altough it could not be seen how worse it was.

Completely autonomous flying wings, the "Pelicans", based on the Dassault Neuron UCAV, sped towards their target, the 20mm guns slung in their bellies capable of penetrating the thin film of water shielding the torpedo and armor that hid its thermonuclear payload.
Spreading out, their burners dumping raw fuel into the thrusters, the fighters suddenly accelerated to Mach 1.4, supersonic shockwaves trailing in their passage as they bobbed, weaved and avoided the clustered ships that stood between them and their target, some of them barely avoiding colliding with the superstructures of the ships as they roared past.
AA fire from several ships roared, the stacatto beat of the shells hitting the water, the detonation underneath the sea throwing up pillars of water as they attempted to destroy the torpedo.
Unable to confirm the torpedo's destruction, the UCAV's continued on their projected attack pattern, using sophisticated projection software to calculate the estimated path of the torpedo.
Three of the aircraft, otherwise known as Pelican Lead, 3 and 5, began closing in on their attack vector, a small port door opening to reveal the hidden 20mm cannon hidden beneath, supercavitation capable, armor piercing shells loaded inside.
Ahead, the towering skyscrapers of a port city could be just be seen over the horizon.
There would be very little time to make the shot.

OOC: If no one minds, my next post will have the torpedo destroyed.
