His highness wishes to help remind the world of the ancient knightly honor and battles of old. All people are welcome to join as long as the have their own suit of plate and chian mail armors and you also must be a person of noble descent or a person how has be knighted or has proven themselves on the field of battle. The games will be held in a great arena which everyone is allowed into that can hold 210,00 spectators. The particpants shall be held in a lavish hotel where all there needs will be met and they will alos have acess to places to train and excercise and a place to converse and relax.
There is only one victor in it and the emperor of Scandinava can spot a fight at any point but the crowd can vote to overule him.
The prizes are $210,000,000 dollars, a tax free massive lavish palace in the magniffecnet city of Valgard, and a lordship in Scandinava.

Yes they will be allowed to withdraw but they cannot during a battle and they will also be dishonored by they act.
The battles will be in Midevil tech with melee weapons only optional fighting on horseback. Though their will be alot of modern tech in the staduim about them.
Rules
1. Fight honorably.
2. Obey the emperor's commands if not you will be disqualified.
3. If you kill somone outside of the contest or before a battle begins in the arena you will be killed.
4. No fighting outside the arean's battles or you will be disqualified.
5. No ranged or gunpowder weapons.

Outside? Was it not a serious offense to kill someone in a tourney? The point was to prove yourself a better jouster, not to kill the opponent.

Theao you can forge anway you want to as long it is made of substances of the middle age and they refelct desgins used then.

Just to help people out after the death of a loved one the funeral will be paid for by the tournment commsion this is only for forgeniers.

Ravea you shall fight Sir William the fight shall be staffs and sowrds. Shield are allowed in all foot fight accept when the battle uses two-handed weapons for both cotendors.

Very well. Our choice for a combatant shall be Lord Mora Osoru, from the Oetchin province of Ravea.

I would like to enter. Not only does my nation enforce boot camp upon all citizens, but youths are trained in martial arts - To quote: "and the government helps teach children how to kill a man from six paces."

Slect your weapons carefully and prepare well for the upboiming battle battle for it shall start shortly.

Cras will be armed with a Damascus Long Sword and Short Sword, a Short-hafted axe.
Armour will be Steel Guantlets, Greaves, a Chain Harberk, and Lorica Segmentata.

Mora Osoru will come to the Tournament armed with a Metal Bo staff, several knives (Although these will not be used in the upcoming fight) and a short sword.

Raveans have never been very well aquantied with armor, so this will be light.

Leather bracers, a layer of chainmail, metal leg gaurds, a earthen tunic, a blue underbody suit, and metal-plated gloves.

Sir Edward will wear full suits of plate and chain mail and will be armed with a classic knight sword of the strongest steel as his primary weapon and will have a double edged battle axe as his secondary weapons with a Saxon shield with it also. Also his squires will be carrying a glaive and a rapier.

Sir William will be wearing a suit of Viking chain mail and plate mail on his chest. His weapons will be a steel broad sword and a Roman short sword and a Roman shield.

The first battle shall be between Lord Cras and Sir Edward.

As Lord Cras and Sir Edward advanced towards the areana with their squires they were confronted by the weapons master of the arean and he said," When you go out there hundreds of thousands of eyes will be looking down on you but do not fear for in fear there is death go out there and put on a good show for the emperor is watching and if you die chose to die honorably."
Then they came upon the great entrance to the arena and it opened outside it seemed like the colsieum of old and they heard the cheers and booing of humdreds of thousands. Then the emperor rose and said," Good day my people and thee brave contestants today one of you shall die but you shall be remebered and the winner will further progress to the great prize and always remeber as brave soldiers it is your duty to be brave and to die honorably."

Cras entered the arena, both blades still in thier scabberds. He turned to his opponent, bowed and drew his swords taking a neutral stance. The short sword was in the off-hand and the lond sword in the prime hand.

Sir Edward took his doublr bladed axe and charge and threw his attack upon Cras's head hoping to get him down with one good strike.

Cras seeing Edward charge forward with the axe, kept his guard down. Once Edward had committed to the overhead attack, Cras stepped forward and to the side, sticking his foot out to trip his overeager attacker.

Edward seeing managed to gain a steady balance but not after nearly tripping. After regaining his balance he put up his axe and swigned at Cras's side.

Cras caught the blow and deflected it downward with his short sword(SS) while slashing with the long sword(LS).

Edward recieved a minor wound from it but nothing to serious. He threw his axe at Cras and ordered his squires to bring a glaive. They brought him it and thne he attacked him and struck with all of his might.

As Edward got his glaive, Cras sheathed his LS and drew his hand-axe(HA) out of it's loop. As Edward struck, Cras caught the blade on the guard of his SS which caused the SS to spin from blade up to blade down. With the blade still against the guard of the SS, Cras drove the blade into the ground, effectivly trapping the point of the glaive. Then he brought his HA down on the shaft hard.

Edward drew a hidden 1 1/2 foot blade and jabbed at Cras trying to get him off the glavie.

Unable to avoid the blade, the sword slide along the armour and cause a bruise but no major damage. Cras kicked out a Edward aiming for the nearer knee while slashing at the shaft again.

ooc: a normal glaive has a 6-7 foot shaft

Edward aimed the blade at Cras's neck and struck.

Cras ducked his head as the blade came in, as the blade passed over his head he dropped the HA, grabbed Edwards wrist and pulled him forward and punched Edwards face hard. Then he kicked him in the gut and drew his LS.

Just before the final blow could be struck he managed to get his rapier and thrust at Cras's chest.

Cras blocked the thrust with his LS as he grabbed the hilt of his SS and launched a savage attack, as he advanced on Edward driving him back.

Edward used his rapier with great effiecency but it wasn;t enough to stop his attack.

As Edward fell back and suffered injury, Cras pushed the attack striking wounds but avoiding striking a fatal blow. He intended to defeat but not slay his foe if it could be avoided.

The emperor rose and said," Contendors you both have fought bravely and Lord Cras is the clear and honorable winner and to you Sir Edward you to have fought bravelt but not well enough to win and to the crows I ask you should he live?"

The crowd responded," Death, death, death, death, death to Edward."
They repeated themselves over and over again.

In the beggining I stated that any person proven on the plain of battlefield and the battles are not always to the death but they often are to the death.

You are not to late to send someone.

The emperor rsoe and said," The people have spoken and Sir Edward shall die in the arena before their eyes by your hand Lord Cras. What say you now?"

"Rather than slay him, I wish to claim him as a bondsmen or thrall. Should that be unacceptable then I shall slay him even thought he was a skilled and honourable warrior." Cras replied

The emperor said," If you chose so then let it be. But, his knightly status and title are forever revoked as I command if you chose to keeps him as a bondsmen and the honor of your great victory reduced so is this your final descison?"

"It is." Cras replied.

We might send someone then, if it is not too late.

OOC: I'll work on it tomorrow. As it is, I have to go to bed, cause I've got a cold. The character I'm thinking of may or may not fall under the category of 'human,' so if you want to discuss that, just IM or TG me.

The emperor presponded," I commit Edward unto your service. Edward from this point as this man has saved your life and now your are his bondsmen but in in you becoming a bondsmen all of your land grants and titles and even your knightship are hereby taken from you and you shall never be allowed to bear a title of noblity again as I proclaim."

The next fight shall be between Captain Josh and Sir Richard. Richard shall wear the classical medieval knight armor and use a two handed long sword and a halberdiers.

Zig Batory
Weapon: Traditional Callisdrunian onehanded spiked battle axe, frequent use of short parrying sword as well.
Other Equipment: Circular (viking style) shield, viking style helmet http://www.vikinganswerlady.com/graphics/oculhelm.gif (like that except with a black tail going from the top down), chain mail armor with light plates on torso, arms and legs with plated leather boots.

Zig is an attractive female of medium height, with long black hair, black eyes, pale skin, and barbed fangs. She's quite a lot stronger than her light frame looks, able to wield the traditional one-handed axe as if it was merely a fly-swatter, and is extremely agile and aggressive. Often she wears only leather armor, but for this she will be wearing her chain and plate set of armor. All black of course.

She is an alumni of the University of Callisdrun at Drun Melee team.

Ingwe Kjellsen.
Weapon: Same basic kind of axe as Zig, but wields a warhammer as his secondary weapon.
Other equipment: Circular shield (also viking style, but same style as Zig's), Great Helm style helmet, plate and chain mail armor (similar to, but heavier than Zig's).

Ingwe is very tall, with long arms and legs, somewhat awkward looking really. He looks like a beanpole, but handles himself well in battle, using a defensive style in which he waits for the opponant to make a mistake which he then exploits.

He is a senior member of the University of Callisdrun at Drun Melee team, though he and Zig were both on it for a couple years.

We accept all of the new candidates and just a warning to you El CID THE HERO not a threat though that you will be facing experinced soldiers, knights, and lords.

To make a intresting battle what about a battle to the death between Ingwe Kjellsen and Mark Johnson.

He has light metal-gridded leather armor on his torso, forearms, and shins, and his clothing is a plain black gi.
His weapon would be a 4"5' staff, with a sharpened tip. The tip has a quarter inch layer of metal for durability, and the staff itself is about 3/4' in diameter.
He also has 3 throwing stars, a steel 9' dagger(or would that be a shortsword?), and, of course, he's a skilled Martial Artist.

He's 6"7' tall with black hair, and heavily muscled.

Ingwe and Zig don't do battles to the death. If Callisdrunian Melee fighters battled to the death, no one would become one, and then our national sport would be defunct. When/if they lose, they will surrender. They will not kill anyone in sport, either, at least not intentionally. Ingwe is willing to fight Mark Johnson, though. Just not willing to kill him.

Eshnil shall face Sir Louis in a duel to the end of it (death or near death whatever the crowd desires). Louis shall have full plate and chain mail armor and a full arnamn ent of the arena.

Ingwe shall make ready to face Mark Jonson, but would like to know whether or not his horse will be necessary, and would also like to know a little bit about his opponent before the battle begins.

Also, Zig wants to know if she's allowed to bite her opponent during the fight.

We will participate in the tournament, also as a side of interest we have speciall attack that involve causing a spark that cause the weapon to ignite a burst of flame toward the opponent. is that by any means legal.

Zig took a shower and then slowly put her black armor on. It was lighter than it looked, but still enough to stop a sword blow. She looked in the mirror whilst tying her hair back in a pony-tail. Zig smiled at her reflection. Such a shame that she would not be able to use her barbed fangs. Biting had always been an element of Callisdrunian fighting. She was careful to put on sunscreen, though it would be twilight by the time her match commenced. Lastly, she strapped on her boots before walking outside with her weapons. Her shield bore the Batory family sign, a dragon biting its own tail, forming a ring in which lay three wolves teeth.

When finally outside, she put on her helmet and grinned at the people she did not know.

Thanks for pointing that out Nebarri_Prime I must have overlooked that simehow and yes throwing stars are ranged weapons. If the throwing stars are used in the battle at range they will be disqualified but if they are used at very close ranged only to try to get the oppenet in the hands you know if the weapons are used like the knights in the middle ages used daggers.

Cras, having managed to work out the kinks for his last match, began preparing himself by slipping into his harberk, strapping on the Lorica Segmentata and greaves. He then slid his hands into his guantlets, place the axe in its loop and grabbed his swords as he headed out onto the arena floor.

Mora Osoru checked his armor and weapons, hid his knives in a safe place, walked just outside the arena, and prepared to dual. He hoped his opponent wasn't Too Inept or unskilled.

Then Sir Willaim went up to Mora and said," You fight an enemy in this fight who serves in the the Impieral Order of the Chrone which there are only 210 members."

Then an annoucemnet was made that next match between Mora and Adam fight begin shortly.

"Then mabey he will have some skill," Replied Mora to Sir Willaim. This would be better than Mora had imagined; Now he was up against an elite fighter, like himself. He squeezed his staff in anticipation.

The match shall now begin.

Mora stepped into the arena and gave his staff an expiremental spin to warm up, staring Adam down. He decided to wait until Adam struck first.

OCC:What is Adam armed with?

Adam grabbed a huge 4 1/2 foot mace and a large midevil shield.
Adam is armed with a long sword, short sword, extra shieldm and a morning star.

Adam charged at him shield hitting first and mace coming down like a huge hammer enough to break most armors.

Mora's eyebrow shot up as he watched Adam heft a massive mace into the air and charged at him. Perhaps some extra armor could have helped, Thought Mora as Adam bore down on him. In truth, the Mace didn't worry Mora Too Much-It was the shield that might present some problems.

Mora dodged to the right the last moment, easily avoiding the mace but getting slammed by the shield. He was flung to the side, rolled over several times, and quickly regained his footing. Mora danced around his opponent once, then leapt into the air, Staff extended. At first he feinted a blow to the head, but then curved his weapon down to connect with Adam's knee.

Adam saw this and rammed the shield right Mora and in the air Mora realized that the shield it self in a way was a weapon that could peirce armor, render flesh, and break bone.

Mora frowned as the large shield knocked both himself and his blow out of the way. He took some time to formulate a new stratagie, then burst into motion again. Mora, with his staff in his left hand, made for a wide slashing movement to the far left. As expected, Adam blocked with his shield-But exposed his center.

Mora swivled his body-but not his staff hand-and got past Adam's shield. Of course, His staff couldn't do much at the moment, so Mora smashed his opponent in the face with his elbow, then whirled his staff hand away from Adam's shield to spin and whack Adam's mace arm.

Then Adam relived his true size he dropped his mace stood up straight and stood at 7 foot 5 inches and unsheathed his huge long sword of 5 1/2 feet. His power was truly great.

Well...He's pretty damn tall. Mora darted backwards as Adam drew his gigantic sword. This would be a little tougher than dodging an oversized mace; Mora now had to rely on his speed and his skill at manipulating his staff for survival.

Mora spun his staff around and around, waiting for Adam to make the next move.

Then Adam laughed," You think that this blade is to heavy to move fast to hit you."
He swong his blade far faster than Mora had thought.

Mora just barely had time to bring his staff up as Adam's blade zinged through the air at breakneck speed. Mora's staff rattled in his hands as he just managed to block the blow; his feet almost gave out beneath him. Mora whirled away.

This guy thinks he's fast, Eh? I'll show him some speed.

Mora ran directly for Adam, avoiding another gigantic vertical slash. He spun to the right and smacked Adam's hamstring painfully, forcing him to go on one knee. In a combination of blinding moves, Mora hit Adam in the lower back, the chest, the upper back, the neck, then the back of the head.

Then Adam stood up despite the pain and refused to give up and went into a controlled beserk.

Mora was quite startled as he watched Adam stand up and go clinicly insane, swinging his sword every witch way at a very dangerous speed. Mora fell back at the crazed assult, trying to dodge with all his might.

Luckily, the crazier Adam got the more mistakes he made. As Adam made a horizontal stab, Mora did a bit of a balancing act as he jumped up onto the massive blade and ran to it's hilt, kicking Adam in the neck. He jumped and landed behind his massive opponent, crunching his staff into Adam's sword elbow with great force, then slammed him in the back with a thrust.

Little in accuarcy I said controlled frenzy but what you did running up the hilt is accpeted but not the Achilles thing because his heel is well armored you can harm him by it though.

Adam began his attack once more usong his shield as a barrier against retreat he flong to the left of Mora and swong his sword to the right of him creating a effective barrier except from beind him.

Adam activated a 1 1/2 foot blade ih his boot and thursted in towards Mora.

Zig still smiled at the crowd, showing fangs. She made sure her gauntlets were on well and grabbed her axe from her belt. It was ink black like her armor, but it was close, at a very dark grey, and ornately engraved. She tightened and relaxed her grip on its hilt.

Cras faced his opponent and was surprise it was a female. He drew his swords and took a defensive stance, waiting for Zig to launch the first attack.

Zig walked forward, slowly, in a semi-crouch, shield before her. She had modified the grip on it so that she could hold the parrying sword at the same time as the shield. When finally close enough, she screamed a battle cry (generally a raspy shriek for Callisdrunians) and quickly made a slight swing with her axe at Cras' hand. It was a move she had quite a lot of practice at.

OOC: Is it to late to join?

Cras, countered the axe with his short sword(SS) while stepping forward and stabbing with his long sword(LS))

Due to the axe's heavier weight, it knocked Cras' short sword back, though Zig's attack had still blocked. She deftly blocked Cras' longsword with the back of her shield, leaving her parrying sword free to block an additional attack. Zig swung her axe again, but from different direction, bringing it up at a high speed towards Cras' longsword arm. At the same time she made a little hop, placing herself on Cras' side rather than in front of him.

Cras moved his arm as he slid to the side and delivered a kick to the back of Zig's knee while driving the short sword pommel toward her face.

No it is not to late to join.

Zig somersaulted backwards to avoid the oncoming hilt, landing on her feet, and then rushing toward Cras. She feinted with her parrying sword, though with enough force that Cras would have no choice but to block it or be skewered. Suddenly, she drove her axe toward him like a spear. She did not think it was entirely fair that he was allowed to kick her but she was not allowed to bite him.

Cras spun to the side(axe side) and dropped his LS and grabbed her axe arm and jacked it behind her back while bringing the SS to her neck.

Zig was surprised at this maneuver, but quickly thought of a way out of it. She bit down hard on the sword, whilst kicking back with her heel into Cras' groin. With her free arm, she slammed the metal center of her shield into his head as hard as she could. Zig grunted with the effort.

Adam activated a 1 1/2 foot blade ih his boot and thursted in towards Mora.

Mora gasped in pain as the blade gashed his lower leg, drawing a suprising amount of blood. He dodged Adam's shield and spun behind his opponent, just maneged to stay on balance, and brought down his staff with all his might at Adam's head.

Cras grunted as the shield smacked into his forhead, and smiled as her foot impacted the codpiece*. He then cranked her arm even higher up her back, while letting go of the SS, grabbing his hand axe from its belt loop and bringing the pommel down on her head.

Zig moved her head out of the way just in time for the blow to be only glancing, but did not escape unharmed. She could not hold back a sound that was somewhere between a scream and a gasp as the weapon came down on her right shoulder. She overcame the pain, though. She had been in worse pain before. Nothing held her to her current disadvantaged position, however, and using Cras' grip on her axe arm to her own advantage, Zig wheeled around in an instant and stabbed him with her parrying sword through a chink in his armor. The tactic was incredibly painful for her damaged shoulder. Her head and shoulder were both immersed in pain, and after coming down on top of the falling Cras, she lost consciousness.

OOC: As I said earlier, her speed and agility are her greatest strengths ;)

Adam's helmet was reinforced by a reinfined stell and thick cloth which saved him but still recieved a bad a hit in the head which nearly knocked him down. Then Adam renewed his attack and rasied his gerat sword and it fell down upon Mora with lighting speed and thunderous power.

Cras's armour slowed the blade as it slide along his breastbone sliceing a strip of flesh on his chest. While he was bleeding, he saw that she was unconsious, stood up called up to the emperor, "She is unconscious."

The emperor said," You have again proven yourself as a great warrior and defeated another mighty warrior and I present to you a ceremonial pure silver long sword as a prize for your great achievements. But, how should her fare be decided?"

"I thank you for the sword, Emperor. Should the crowd grant her life then she shall be free, should the crowd demand death then I shall claim her as a bondsmen." Cras replied

The crowd responded," Death, death, death, death, death, death!"
The emperor said," Slay her do not hold back."

The Queendom would like to enter Colleen Angel, one of the Queens Royal guards, and a knight of the court. She is an exellent warrior with short swords and and katanas and the like.

Your match shall be made up shortly.

"I claim her as a bondsmen, to do otherwise would bring dishonour to both this tournament as well as to me. It is also illegal* to kill an opponent in cold blood." Lord Cras replied.

* if he killed her then he would be hunted down and killed, his lands and titles stripped from the family and he would be purge from all history and goverment records. Nobles are held to a vastly higher standard of conduct.

Nebarri prime would like to have Lopez chalenge Colleen Angel but thats up to you Emperor

Then the emperor stepped in and asserted his authority and said," She will be harmed and not be claimed as your bondsmen but is claimed by the Imperial crone and she shall be trained as knight and then returned to you as a knight protected by the crone yet she shall become your vassal knight to compensate you here is a 2 1lb. silver bars. Do you accept this?"

Nebarri_Prime your challenage is accpeted.

ooc: she shall be claimed by the Crown, trained as a knight, then given to Cras as a knight with Royal patronage but vassled to Cras, correct.

ic: "That is acceptable, Emperor." Lord Cras replied.

The emperor declared," From now on do not fear to strike to kill if the oppenet is standing but if the oppenet is wounded and/or cannot fight any longer they shall be claimed by the crown and be trained as royal knights and treated as a knight of Scandinava."

Lord Terdor (Cras) left the field and headed to his chamber where his docter fixed him up and the armourer fixed the armour and sharpened his sword, he then returned to the stands to watch the other matches until it was his turn again.

Cras's armour slowed the blade as it slide along his breastbone sliceing a strip of flesh on his chest. While he was bleeding, he saw that she was unconsious, stood up called up to the emperor, "She is unconscious."

Zig's entourage carried her to the side of the arena, where she regained conciousness a while later. Ingwe was there, still waiting for his opposite to show up. Zig grimaced as she tried to get up. "I lost, didn't I?"

Ingwe nodded. "Don't worry, he did not go away unscathed." In Callisdrun, it was extremely humiliating if one did not even manage to get a hit on one's competition.

"I was never much good at one on one combat." Most Melee combat was done in teams at home, duel style combat was something they weren't used to. "I got pretty f***ed up, didn't I?"

Ingwe frowned. "Yes, your collar bone and scapula are both fractured. Here, let's see about getting that seen to." He walked her off the field. With her good arm, she took off her helmet.

OOC: What kind of medical facilities would she have access to?

All contestants have acess to very advanced and profenssial clinics for all wounds recieved in battle and now since she is now serving the crown she will have all the care needed to heal her.

Then a massive warrior went before them and said," She in now to be claimed to serve the crown but do not worry you will be able to any time and she live a life of happiness in the paradise city of Valgard."

When she emerged again from the doctor's office, Zig had her right arm in a sling, and a scowl on her face. She sat down next to Ingwe in a little dugout next to the arena and sighed. "Getting knocked out and then waking up to find you're a slave really ruins your day," she said.

"Heh, it can't be too bad," Ingwe replied. "Whoever I'm supposed to be fighting still hasn't shown up." They were speaking their native language, nearly incomprehensible to anyone who hadn't grown up speaking it.

"Let the battle between Lopez and Colleen Angel now begin," an annoucement said.

OOC: They were speaking Callisdrunian, but I'll just say that the word for slave is similar to English. Don't worry, it happens a lot.

IC: A bit unnerved that the warrior had been able to understand her, Zig said to him "Well, whatever you say, but being bound to anything against my will is somewhat uncomfortable for me, because of how I was raised. It will take some getting used to." Her accent was fairly thick, and had a lot of a hiss-like sound in it. "How long does my service last, anyway?"

Colleen walked onto the field, her green cloak and blonde hair flowing behind her. She was armed with a simple rapier, and some knives. "Ladies first?" She asked her opponent.

"Then perhaps I should face Cras," Ingwe mused.

Zig watched the woman in green on the field with visible interest in her black eyes.

Cras, having finished his stint in the chop-shop*, headed to the arena to watch the next match, sitting down a few seats away from Zig and Ingwe.

Ingwe and Zig chatted for a little while longer, looking with interest upon the strange thin sword the woman in green used. Ingwe then noticed that Zig's exposed hands had the slightest reddish tinge to them. "Ziggy, you're starting to burn."

Zig turned to Cras and said "Excuse me, but do you have any sunblock? I desperately need some, or I will be red as an apple in less than a half hour." She found it rather odd that she was asking a request of a man she had been stabbing just a little while earlier, but after all, the match was over.

"Sunblock, I believe I have some on me." Cras said as he began rooting around in his pockets, "Ah, here it is." he pulls out a tube about the size of a D-battery. "If this is insufficiant, I could get let you use my cloak as well." He says as he hands her the tube.

Colleen flipped back, using her arms to propel her self off the ground and back onto her feet, she awaited her opponents move.

"Thank you," Zig said as she took the little tube from Cras. She then squirted large gobs on her hands and face, rubbing the stuff in. It was easy to see why she needed it, as her skin could have made snow look dark. She handed the tube back to Cras and said "The cloak would shield me from the sun, but I'm afraid it would be far too hot. Thanks anyway."

"I'll be fine. I've been hurt a lot worse in college matches. I'm already very hot in what I'm wearing right now, but maybe in a little while." Zig managed a little smile.

"Ah yes. This is Ingwe Kjellsen. And yes, he is a competitor, waiting for the person who he's supposed to be fighting to show up."

Ingwe turned to face Cras. "Yes, a certain Marc Jonson or something. Zig and I have known each other for quite a while. We were on the University of Callisdrun Melee team together for a couple years." His accent was not quite as thick as Zig's, but still noticable.

"He fights harder in the locker room with his towel than he does on the field with his axe," Zig said with a grin.

"Thanks." Ingwe wondered if Mark would ever show up. He mused on the fact that almost all the other competitors seemed to be using swords for a moment. In Callisdrun, Swords were very infrequently used, with axes being the most popular weapons, followed by maces and warhammers.

Zig undid her pony tail, using her hair to shield the back of her neck against the sun. Her hair would draw a lot of heat, black as it was, but at least she wouldn't get sunburned.

Lopez slowly backed up then quickly lunged for his sword Colleen moved forwared to attack not wanting Lopez to get the sword back he maneged to grab it and swing at her befor she got to him he just barly mised but he lost control of the sword and it whent flying about 15 feet away Colleen lunged at Lopez but he maneged to bolck the attack he pushed her back with his Sais

Colleen fell on her back, but spun up and dashed for her rapier, grabing it and charging towards Lopez.

"Care to make a small wager on the outcome of the match?" Cras asked both Ingwe and Zig.

Colleen stabed at Lopez with the rapier but Lopez cot it inbetwen his Sais and with exrtem force broke the Rapiers tip off then he pushed the Rapier up and maneged to kick Colleen in the Torso

Colleen was driven back, but quickly rolled over to the tip of the broken Rapier, and threw it at Lopez's chest.

Colleens attack took Lopez by suprise and hit him makeing him take two steps back but his armor saved him he took the tip of the Rapier and threw it back at Colleen as soon as it left his hand he turned ran and grabed his sword he turned to face Colleen not knowing if she had been hit by the Blade

The shard, had sadly, found it's way into Colleens leg, she ignored the pain how ever, and pulled out two knifes and charged Lopez.

Lopez Fell but the Cut was not as painfull as it looked he maneged to role away from Colleen started standing up when she came at him he slashed upword with his sword and maneged to cut the inside of Colleens rist she droped one knife and Scremed in Pain then Lopez maneged to Grab her other hand and slamed it agenst his armor forceing her to drop her other knife he quickly spun her around and held his sword to her neck

Colleen held her wrists, blood squirting out from it. She began to breath faster, her eyes streaming tears from the pain. She looked up a Lopez, and waited for anything he might do.

Adam finally hit Mora with his sword and broke 2 of his ribs and it sent him flying about 10 feet.

Mora groaned in pain as he just managed to get to his feet. He couldn't let this go on for any longer; Adam was tearing him apart.

Mora closed his eyes and disengaged his mind from his body; He suddenly moved with no feeling of pain, sailing right for Adam. The huge man swiped at him with his sword, but Mora dodged the blow and flipped over his arm, smashing his staff into Adam's sword elbow. While Adam's arm was still stunned, Mora grabbed it and turned his enemy's gigantic sword on himself, putting all his weight on in and forcing the blade through Adam's armor and into his body.

Mora's mind took over his body again, and he collapsed backwards, completly out of energy. He was quickly careening to the verge of unconsciousness.

"Care to make a small wager on the outcome of the match?" Cras asked both Ingwe and Zig.

Zig waited a while and then reply. "We generally don't gamble. And seeing as how that match turned out, I'm glad I didn't, as I would have been wrong."

Ingwe laughed. He knew Zig well enough to know that excessive pride was one of her faults. That she would admit to even thinking wrong was amusing.

"Alright. I wonder who the next two competitors will be?" Cras mentioned

Then Adam arose agian and his face showed no sign of anything except anger he used his shield to help life himself up and then he tied his wound with some of his cloak he ripped off. His attention turned once again to Mora and he raised his massive shield hit a switch inside it and a 2 foot blade came out and it came upon Mora swiftly and ruthelssly there was no time to escape Adam hit Mora with all of his remaining might.

After defying the emperor 120 armed guards surrounded them and made a shield wall around them and unsheathed their blades and one of them said," You are hereby under arrest by order of the emperor and for attempting for assaulting someone after a match and disobeying an order directly from the emperor and slandering him."

Lopez at first stood in a defencive stance but when the guards came he quickly droped his Sword and placed his hands on his head he knew he would likely be discualifid(i know its spelt rong)

Colleen bowed before her opponent.

"I only request that my life be taken, as I could never return to my nation with honor."

She said grimly.

"No Lopez you are not disqualififed only Colleen had been ordered to be arrested you were only acting on self-defense," said the guard.

"im sorry to say it but if i killed you now i would be a murderer being that the match is over and two that i would not be abel to go home with honer if i killed you know that the match is over"

OOC: The trouble with death matches is that no one would actually want to participate in one without either being forced to or having some enormous payoff. Melee matches in Cd are never to the death, so my characters wouldn't kill someone in what they see as a sport.

The emperor has formalizied her release she was just be used as an example to the other competitors as what could happen and the emperor himself ordered that no harm come upon her or they would answer directly to him and she was just used to spread the horrors of Hel that she had witnessed.

one thing i know is that buy international law the nation the rule was broke in gets to decide what happens though i would hope thay will hand her over

Ingwe put on the dark grey helm he wore into matches. He then picked up his shield and walked casually forward while gingerly pulling his axe from his belt, as if it was a pencil. He stopped when he was close enough to tower over Lopez, but far enough so that Lopez would have to walk a couple steps to attack him. He then waited. His style was different than Zig's.

Ingwe wiggled his armored fingers on his axe handle. He moved nothing else. His eyes were impossible to see throught the eye slit of his helm, but for some reason, one could tell that his face looked hard as stone.

Though he was tall, he was no behemoth. In fact, though people called him a giant, he was quite skinny, though he was much stronger than his lanky frame belied, though he was still imposing.

Cras turned to Zig, "I hope Ingwe does well in his match."

"Me too, of course," Zig replied. "His style and mine would complement each other, and our Melee team went undefeated when we were both on it. I have no idea how he'll do solo, though. I hope he's careful, I don't want that kid to get hurt too badly." Zig still referred to Ingwe as a kid, because she was a couple years older than him.

"I wonder who I'll face in my next match, whether it is one of them or another competitor." Cras said

"Well, if that Lopez hurts Ingwe badly, I'd like it very much if you mauled him if you faced him. Lopez that is." Zig had always been very protective of those she had called "younglings" when she was on the college team. More than a few opposing players had regretted incurring her wrath on the melee field.

"I personally think that Ingwe will win this match." Cras replied as he watched the match.

"So do I, but one never knows. Ingwe will make Lopez attack first, that's for sure." Zig knew Ingwe well enough to know that somehow, the other person always attacked first.


Ingwe calmly stood waiting for his opponent. He had all day, and could wait until the next if he had to. He continued to look down upon Lopez with a cold stare. He made no signs of nervousness, because he was not nervous. In a way, this was actually easier than a normal Callisdrunian melee match, because he only had to keep his eyes on one person.

"It will be interesting to watch as I may be fighting one of them. I wonder what will happen if they both pull a mexican stand-off." Cras replied

"A what?" Zig asked, confused. "What is a mexican stand-off?" She probably sounded incredibly foreign to Cras, asking that.

"It's when 2 warriors/groups are so evenly matched that if one tries to make a move they both die." Cras replied

As the minutes past, Ingwe did not even shift his posture as he waited for Lopez. After a long time, out of boredom, he twirled his axe, but returned to the same posture.

The emperor said," Begin the battle or it shall be ended and you both will be fined."

Ingwe rattled off a string of curses at Lopez in Callisdrunian. Despite the language difference, it was easy to tell that they were curses. To Ingwe, it was nothing personal, but he had to get Lopez to attack him somehow.
