This is my idea:
We have a sort of galaxy, in which stars and planets are in identical forms to cities, states, countries, oceans etc. setup on Earth (though not a round galaxy). Like this: A star for each state/province/small country, a planet for each major city and a moon for each minor city, similar to how Freelancer is. Each nation uses a predetermined type of FT-type technology, and they fight a war that would be a Cold War type scenario, but with FT.
FT Types could be
StarWars: Sith Empire (KotOR)
StarWars: Galactic Republic (KotOR)
StarWars: Confederacy
StarWars: Galactic Republic
StarWars: Galactic Empire
StarWars: Rebel Alliance
StarTrek: Federation
StarTrek: Klingon Empire
StarTrek: Romulan Star Empire
StarTrek: Borg
Freelancer: Rheinland
Freelancer: Liberty
Freelancer: Bretonia
Freelancer: Kusari
Halo: Covenant
Halo: UNSC
Other suggestions could be made and be accepted/rejected.

This has already been done, but not to an offical level, you really need to get to know the main Star Wars future tech players such as me and Coreworlds, maybe then you will see what the SW scene is like.

For the most part, it's a bad idea, as the Galactic Empire is currently in the Dark Empire stage in Future Tech. I would start reading mine and Coreworlds RP's for more information.

Sith, I know the FT stuff. This is about a totally different thing. My puppet is a member of the Galactic Empire. This is my MT and main nation, but this is a specific RP that has nothing to do with the rest of the NationStates FT Galaxy.

The Idea is: You have an Earth-map for a wierd galaxy, with, for example:
New York System, in which they have the planet Manhattan, which has moons Brooklyn and Long Island.
If you want to know, my FT nation is Jolamar IV.
